#NeverTrump Just Isn't An Option In Election 2016

Back on August 31, I wrote the following, in response to Sean Hannity and some comments he made:
And if you want to know where I stand, Sean, buddy, in November, let me say I’m voting my conscience, and my conscience is hurting me right now. But I can with a clear conscience say I cannot sit on my hands and do nothing while Hillary is running for President. I am #NeverHillary.
I cannot vote for Gary Johnson, who is pro-abortion, pro-gloBULL warming, and whose whole candidacy is based on legalizing marijuana. Libertarians once had a lot in common with conservatives, however modern libertarians tend to be cheap, pothead liberals who don’t want to fight wars.
Likewise, I cannot endorse the #NeverTrump, because they have offered no viable alternative to the Trump candidacy, just a guy (funded by Romney, I suspect) whose name is mistaken with Egg McMuffin and has similar views on Supreme Court decisions as the putrid John Kasich.
So, with less than a month away from the election that will decide whether or not America can recover from eight years of self-imposed destruction under Richard Milhous Obama, or fade into European-style socialism and a permanent one-party state, I can still say #NeverTrump is not an option for me as a voter, as well as anyone who cares about preserving America.

I am 100 percent #NeverHillary.

That means, after searching my conscience (as my first choice, Ted Cruz, said at the Republican National Convention), I searched my soul and decided back in August that the only real choice I had was Donald Trump for President, and I feel the same way today.

Does that mean Trump is a conservative? No, he's not. Does that mean I approve or defend the revelations of smut talk on a tape he made 11 years ago? No I don't. Does it bother me that several women are coming forward claiming to have been sexually assaulted by him? Yes, but however the timing, as well as some of the characters involved, make me suspicious. The presence of Gloria AllRED, that ambulance-chasing, Democrat party hack is one of them.

The fact that there were no allegations of this behavior from Trump for 30 or 40 years, until less than a month before an election when he is running as the Republican nominee, makes me suspicious. I remember how AllRED and the Democrat Party played the same trick in California, before the 2003 recall election of Gov. "Red" Davis, because Davis could not defend his failed time as California's governor. All he had, just like the Democrats of today have, are negative personal attacks and character assassinations.

Trump says these allegations are false, and as I thought when I heard him say that, you better be telling us the truth.

But it seems too many in the #NeverTrump camp were too gleeful, using the language of Hillary and the Left by passing along these allegations on their social media pages and blogs. Remember how those of us who opposed Mittens Romney in the 2012 primary were slammed as "attacking capitalism" and "using the language of the Left" in going after him? It seems the #NeverTrump crowd is doing the same. And why not? Many of them pushed the loser Romney on us because he was a pure as the wind-driven snow.

And look what the liberals did to the clean Mitt Romney? They made him out to be worse than Attila the Hun.

This is why the GOP establishment loses all the time. The Republican Party has become infested with Bushies since the days of GHW Bush, who thought being Mr. Rogers would help in winning political battles with the "out-for-blood, play-to-win" Left, and instead, he got creamed and we got stuck with the Rapist-in-Chief, Bill Clinton.

But this election is more about Republican vs. Democrat, Right vs. Left. As we can tell from the Wikileaks drops, this is an election about the Elites vs. the rest of us. And the elites aren't all liberals, they infest both parties. Too many elites are in the Republican Party establishment, and if you are not a part of their "country club" they don't want you. Witness the way the GOP and the same traitors supporting Hillary who were in the McCain campaign trashed Sarah Palin to the press. Why? She wasn't one of them. She didn't go to their elite private schools and Ivy League colleges. Look at how Ken Cuccinelli, a reliable conservative, was thrown under the bus by the Virginia and national GOP. Why? He wasn't part of the "country club," and the "country club GOP" was more comfortable with Terry McAwful than Cuccinelli, because McAwful was an elitist like them.

There's also the aspect of those who emphasize "social conservatism" over everything else. I agree with social conservatism, but it is not the "be all and end all" of conservatism. Donald Trump has apologized for smut talk he made before he even wanted to run for President, and pledged to be a better person. Who among us would want to be judged on not just something we said in private, but also some of our pasts?

Too many in the Christian right seem to forget how we are all fallen and broken people, and it is only by Grace that we have any kind of chance at Redemption. It is not by holding our Bibles and using them as weapons, like one sidewalk evangelist I was in college, who basically pointed at people and shouted "FORNICATOR!" "MASTURBATOR!" "SODOMIZER!"

And to the Pius who cannot vote for Trump because of his behavior in the past, I say, is the speck cleared from your eyes to be able and judge him? I say thing about one regular Trump critic who is a radio host and writes a blog, and is attending seminary. He goes after Trump because of his lifestyle and worries what Trump will do to the church. Excuse me! We are electing a President, not an archbishop. And some (like Southern Baptists) might look at this blogger/seminarian and question his morality, especially in the area of regularly drinking adult beverages.

Another reason why #NeverTrump isn't an option is if offered no reasonable alternative. It's just a movement made up mostly of butt-hurt ¡Jeb! and Marco Rubio supporters from the GOP country club. Who is their savior? An unknown guy named Evan McMullen, who has been mocked as Egg McMuffin. He took on Trump last weekend on Twitter:
If that is the case, why then does McMullin employ a GOP establishment consultant like Rick Wilson. Wilson refered on Twitter to "Ted F***ing Cruz", as well as made crude comments about Trump supporters and an obscene tweet to Ann Coulter (who I'm no fan of). So what does that say about your values, Egg McMuffin?

Wilson is part of the problem in the GOP elite who gave us Trump. They all want our vote but (if they win) will spend too much time shafting the voters who put them in office they end up losing elections. If Wilson, Karl Rove had to make a living on winning elections, they'd be out of a job.

They say they're doing it to stand up for their values, and for the party. Well, I could really give a rip about the Republican Party, especially how it no longer stands for anything remotely conservative under the Bushes, Roves and Rick Wilsons. After saying for years we only needed the presidency, now they want us to surrender it to Hillary, and promise to fight her in Congress? Yeah, isn't that what they said they'd do with Obama, and instead only cut deals to give him what he wanted?

For all the talk of what Trump would allegedly do to the church, what about how Wikileaks shows how hostile Hillary will be toward Christians and any other faith (except Islam, of course). We aren't sure what Trump will bring, but we know where Hillary will take us.

I love this nation more than I care about the Republican Party. Members of my family have served it, and died defending it. A corrupt, lying Alinskyite is the very thing that is an insult to anyone who loves and had defended this nation.

Personally, I think Trump has been a fool and the nation could survive him, but Hillary is someone who I see as pure evil and our nation would not survive her. She claims to be a champion of women, yet attacked the women whom her husband sexually assualted. She defended the rapist of a 12 year old girl and laughed because the scumbag got off. She put our national security at risk and did nothing while four people died at Benghazi. Then, not only did she lie to the families, but attacked them as liars. She and her husband make deals with foreign nations that only serve to benefit them financially. They are the very definition of treason.

As Cicero once said:
“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”
I don't blame those who want to stand for their principles, but what use are they when the nation is gone thanks to a Hillary presidency? And for all we know about Hillary, when my son and my nephew ask me what I did in 2016, I won't have to say, "Well, I did nothing because standing on my principles were more important than making sure we left you a more free, more prosperous nation."
