2016 Warm Up Starts, And So Does The GOP Establishment Bashing of Sarah Palin

Over the weekend, the Iowa Freedom Summit featured several potential 2016 Republican Party candidates, which is a sign that the race for 2016 is warming up (Washington Times).
For the last several months, the likes of Jeb Bush, Mitt Romney, Ted Cruz and Rand Paul have dominated the media coverage of the still-nascent contest for the White House.
But when the 2016 Republican presidential race roared to life this weekend with twin events in Iowa and Louisiana, two lesser-known contestants left indelible impressions on the GOP faithful.
Former Hewlett-Packard chief executive and current American Conservative Union Foundation Chairwoman Carly Fiorina and battle-tested Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker left the crowds stirring after a nonstop ten-hour festival in Des Moines that exposed voters to 27 speakers and at least 10 GOP presidential hopefuls.
“Carly Fiorina, whom most people had never heard of, got the best response. She came across as a highly intelligent woman and a strong leader as the ex-chief executive of the biggest tech firm in the world,”...
Mr. Walker, who has won two election battles in the swing state of Wisconsin since taking on public unions, also did plenty to dispel perceptions he was an under-stated speaker lacking in charisma.
“Scott Walker was the other one who most improved his position, walking from one end of the stage to the other, with sleeves rolled up and no teleprompter, talking substance — what he would actually do as president,” Mr. Jones added. “We had heard he can be a lackluster speaker. He wasn’t.”
Former Texas Governor Rick Perry, Senator Ted Cruz, Donald Trump and Chris Christie also spoke, as also did former Alsaka Governor (and 2008 Vice Presidential Candidate) Sarah Palin.

And here's where it gets dirty. So many people in the GOP establishment, RINO country club have done the predictable attacking of Palin, attacking her speech. Nicolle Wallace, who was assigned to sabotage Palin by the McLame campaign in 2008, led the attacks.
It's official: Nicolle Wallace really doesn't like Sarah Palin. On today's Morning Joe, Wallace—who was Palin's chief handler during the 2008 campaign—took the occasion of Palin's speech at the Iowa Freedom Summit on Saturday to jab at the former veep candidate.
Wallace had been asked to comment on conservative columnist Byron York's panning of Palin's speech as "long, rambling, and at times barely coherent." York's column also passed along criticism of the speech by a number of Iowa Republicans. Wallace said that it was interesting to see York come "full circle," since back in 2008 he had been a staunch Palin defender, blaming the campaign for the way she was packaged. Wallace then doubled down with this dig: "This is who she is. This to me is evidence that she has finally shed last one of those annoying handlers."
I guess I must have watched a different speech from the one Nicolle Wallace watched, because Sarah made a strong speech about getting back to the conservative principles similar to another candidate talked about nearly 35 years.  And let's be honest? Why should I take Nicolle Wallace's word about Sarah Palin when she's called herself a "big fan" of The Butcher of Benghazi, Hillary Rotten Clinton. This coming from a GOP operative?

This the problem with the serial Palin bashers like Nicolle Wallace and Charles C.W. Cooke. There's no substance to their criticism of Palin, it's all based on snark and a personal dislike. Why? Is it because Sarah is not "sophisticated" enough for their upper crust types.  Well, what did elitist candidates like the "most electable" Romney and McCain get us?

I seem to recall another conservative who was called "too extreme" and "too simplistic" to ever be taken seriously for President. He was so extreme and simplistic he won two record landslides and was called "The Great Communicator." I guess you've never heard of him. Ironically, many of Palin's critics say he could never be nominated for President today. That's true, because they'd be the same ones attacking him with the same snark they attack Palin with.

Look, I've made no secret over the years that I like Gov. Palin. But I have not heard anyone who is a potential candidate for President speak the way she does, in a way that reminds me of 1980.  That doesn't mean there's someone else out there who can carry the conservative mantle in 2016. But who can it be?

Gov. Scott Walker has a good record to run on. He took on the Left in blue-state Wisconsin and won. However, Walker has spoken out of both sides of his mouth on illegal immigration, and that is a deal-breaker.

Gov. Rick Perry has a great record of accomplishment when it comes to running my beloved home state of Texas. But can he get past the gaffes that hindered his rushed 2012 run?

Equal to my defense and support of Gov. Palin is my support for Senator Ted Cruz of Texas. But as much as I think Cruz has the right stuff, and will make a great President, I think it is too early for him to run. I think his voice is needed in the US Senate, and especially in getting more people like him and Mike Lee elected to that body.

No way to Romney, Jeb Bush, or to the "Sideshow Bob" known as Donald Trump. Ben Carson? I've already said why I don't think he is the person to run, even though I think he should keep active in politics and maybe start for another elected office before any run for President.

I am of the belief that, in order neutralize a possible Hillary 2016 campaign (I'm not so sure she will run, in case I haven't said that here), the GOP will have to run a woman in 2016.  Think of it. A Hillary run will have people voting for her for the same reason many fell for voting for Obama...the history factor. Voting for the first woman President. Plus, no male candidate will ever be allowed to successfully debate Hillary. They will be accused of "bullying" her (witness what happened to Rick Lazio in 2000).

Carly Fiorina might talk a good talk that sounds good to the Palin-bashing RINOs who are looking for a more "sophisticated" personality, but she has major problems. The former head of Hewlett-Packard computers, Fiorina was fired by the company in 2005. In her only political campaign, she ran and lost by 10 points against Barbara "the Bouncer" Boxer for the Senate in 2010.  So, if she can't win an election, and can't successfully run a company, then why should we elect her President? That doesn't add into account how she will be blasted for the "golden parachute" she received as severance from HP.

Take that for what it's worth. Maybe I'm wrong, but maybe also the best candidate may be the one that the RINOs and elites are afraid of, because they look down on her as an unsophisticated hick. Well, after seven years of weak-kneed pajama boys running the country, maybe we need a "hick" with a simplistic view of the world to make America great and respected again.

EMBARRASSING! Obama Snubs Bibi Netanyahu & Anniversary of Auschwitz Liberation, But Meets With Clownish YouTube "Star"

Having the Lurch, Hanoi John Kerry, bring James Taylor to sing "You've Got a Friend" as a lame apology for the United States missing the unity march in Paris was definitely a low-point.

That was one thing.

But having Richard Milhous Hussein-Obama meet with a clownish YouTube "star" who once bathed in a bathtub of milk and Fruit Loops has me embarrassed that he even represents America (UK Daily Mail).

President Obama was asked about his 'first wife' in a PR-disaster interview on Thursday after picking three of the most popular YouTube content creators to interview him.
GloZell Green, a popular YouTube fixture known for her extreme acts like eating a ladle full of cinnamon, offered the president three samples of her trademark green lipstick as gifts for his daughters – and for the woman she called Obama's 'first wife.'
'You know something I don't?' Obama cracked before Green corrected herself and referred to Michelle Obama as 'first lady.'
But the PR disaster that was the White House's 50-minute-long 'YouTube interview' was a national joke before it was half-over.
...GloZell took her star turn, before suggesting Obama was headed for divorce, to ask him about race relations, gay marriage and Cuba.
Strongman Raul Castro 'puts the "dic" in "dictator",' she told the president.
And she said he husband, a retired Air Force officer, was mad at her because she had cut the hoods off his hoodies.
She feared for his safety in the wake of racially charged police shootings.
'It's not regular folks,' she told Obama. 'It's the po-po.'
GloZell, who made no effort to hide her enthusiasm for Obama, counts among her most-watched video a 100-second short in which she screams, in character, that she loves the president because 'He black! He black he black he black! Yes, I said it!'
80's Brat Pack actor Rob Lowe skwered Obama on twitter for this idiocy, in addition to how the Thin-Skinned occupant of the White House is snubbing our ally Israel by refusing to meet with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu when he comes to speak to Congress (Fox News).
The Obama administration reportedly is fuming over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plans to address Congress in March regarding the Iranian threat, with one unnamed official telling an Israeli newspaper he will pay “a price” for the snub.
House Speaker John Boehner invited Netanyahu -- and the Israeli leader accepted – without any involvement from the White House.
In public, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest politely describes this as a “departure” from protocol. He also says the president will not meet with Netanyahu when he visits in early March, but has attributed that decision only to a desire not to influence Israel’s upcoming elections.
But in private, Obama’s team is livid with the Israeli leader, according to Haaretz.
"We thought we've seen everything," a source identified as a senior American official was quoted as saying. "But Bibi managed to surprise even us. There are things you simply don't do.
“He spat in our face publicly and that's no way to behave. Netanyahu ought to remember that President Obama has a year and a half left to his presidency, and that there will be a price."
The anonymous quote was a throwback to when, last year, Atlantic magazine quoted another unnamed senior administration official calling Netanyahu a “chickenshit.”
I've been very critical of Speaker John Boehner, but good for him for inviting Netanyahu to speak to Congress.  Obama has treated Congress, and the GOP-led House, like they don't exist as a co-equal branch of government, so it's hilarious that Obama acts all butt-hurt that Boehner made the invite.

But it gets worse. On the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp, Obama will not be going (Patterico).
This coming week marks the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. Approximately 300 remaining survivors are expected to attend a commemoration ceremony on Tuesday. Due to most survivors being 90 years or older, it clearly marks the last major anniversary where such a significant number of survivors will be in attendance.
With that, the 300 survivors will be part of a larger group of 3,000 dignitaries attending the ceremony. This would also include heads of state and royalty:
A preliminary list of those attending includes President François Hollande of France, President Joachim Gauck of Germany and President Heinz Fischer of Austria, as well as King Philippe of Belgium, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark.
Unfortunately, President Obama will not be in attendance to represent the United States as he is due to arrive in India on Sunday. Instead, representing the United States will be Treasury Secretary Jacob J. Lew.
It’s a shame that our president will once again not be representing the United States before the world at an historic occasion. This especially as the opportunity comes on the heels of the recent tone-deaf decision made by the White House not to have the president attend the unity march in Paris and publicly stand in solidarity with other world leaders supporting a traumatized France. Further, in light of increasing antisemitism sweeping across Europe and the large number of Jews leaving Paris and points beyond because they no longer feel safe, it would seem a most opportune moment for the President of the United States to personally express to the world America’s unwavering support of the Jewish people who have endured so much – both then and now. And not lost from view, this happens as the White House announces that neither the president nor John Kerry will be meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu when he is in Washington next month.
And the Leader of the Free World snubs the nation of Israel and the Jewish people, but will meet with clowns who gain notoriety on YouTube for clownish behavior?

Mark Levin said the following last night on his radio show, and I've suspected the same thing all along:
I’m going to tell you something and it’s going to be unconformable. I don’t care how many wealthy Jews Obama surrounds himself with, I don’t care how many wealthy Jews contribute to his campaign. This man has all the signals of an anti-Semite and I’m not going to take that word back. I believe this in my heart and my soul. It’s not about Israel, it’s about what’s in Israel.
Personally, I think this is why the LA Slimes has under lock and key and refuses to make public the Rashid Khalidi video tape that came to light back in 2008.
It was a celebration of Palestinian culture — a night of music, dancing and a dash of politics. Local Arab Americans were bidding farewell to Rashid Khalidi, an internationally known scholar, critic of Israel and advocate for Palestinian rights, who was leaving town for a job in New York.
A special tribute came from Khalidi’s friend and frequent dinner companion, the young state Sen. Barack Obama. Speaking to the crowd, Obama reminisced about meals prepared by Khalidi’s wife, Mona, and conversations that had challenged his thinking.
His many talks with the Khalidis, Obama said, had been “consistent reminders to me of my own blind spots and my own biases. . . . It’s for that reason that I’m hoping that, for many years to come, we continue that conversation — a conversation that is necessary not just around Mona and Rashid’s dinner table,” but around “this entire world.”…
[T]he warm embrace Obama gave to Khalidi, and words like those at the professor’s going-away party, have left some Palestinian American leaders believing that Obama is more receptive to their viewpoint than he is willing to say.
Their belief is not drawn from Obama’s speeches or campaign literature, but from comments that some say Obama made in private and from his association with the Palestinian American community in his hometown of Chicago, including his presence at events where anger at Israeli and U.S. Middle East policy was freely expressed.
At Khalidi’s 2003 farewell party, for example, a young Palestinian American recited a poem accusing the Israeli government of terrorism in its treatment of Palestinians and sharply criticizing U.S. support of Israel. If Palestinians cannot secure their own land, she said, “then you will never see a day of peace.”
One speaker likened “Zionist settlers on the West Bank” to Osama bin Laden, saying both had been “blinded by ideology.”
And the LA Slimes, a supposed "news" organization, hid this indication of Obama's anti-Semitism, all so they could have a pop-culture President for an "American Idol" nation.

Out-Of-Touch Obama: GloBULL Warming, Not Islamic Terrorism, Is Greatest Threat To Future Generations

No, I did not waste my time watching Obama lie to Congress and the American people last night, it was a good time to clean the bathtub and the rest of the bathroom.

But I did hear this morning this one line that had me shaking my head (CNN).
"No challenge  poses a greater threat to future generations than climate change," said Obama in his State of the Union speech Tuesday.
Well, in case you haven't been outside, it's pretty cold out there. I would sure love to feel some of that gloBULL warming right now.

But let me ask this.

How many people have been beheaded by "climate change" (aka GloBULL Warming)?

How many bombs has "climate change" set off?

Was "climate change" responsible for airplanes destroying the World Trade Center?

Was "climate change" responsible for the deaths at Ft. Hood, Texas, a recruiting station in Little Rock, AR, the Boston Marathon, Benghazi, the genocide against Christians in the Middle East, beheadings, crucifixions in Iraq, and the recent killing of cartoonists in Paris, France?

Anyone who has half a brain knows that "climate change" isn't responsible for any of that.  It is radical Islamism, a phrase which Obama and the rest of his Regime refuse to acknowledge.

Instead, they unearth old 1970s folk singers to fight that. Look, I like James Taylor's music (can't stand his politics), but only a hippie whose brain had been fried by the brown acid at Woodstock is delusional enough to think you can stop aggression of madmen with a guitar and a song.

And, not so fast on the claims that 2014 was the warmest year on record (IBD).
In one sense, the breathless stories are correct: 2014 was the hottest year on record — by no more than four-hundredths of a degree. But that's based on surface thermometer records, which are not reliable.
Better measurement is done by satellites, and they indicate 2014 was the third-warmest in the 36 years that satellites have been used to document temperatures.
John Christy, a professor of atmospheric science and director of the Earth System Science Center at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, says the satellite data show that temperature changes since 2001 are "statistically insignificant."
As expected, though, some scientists — a few of whom are considered "distinguished" — take the hottest-ever report as confirmation that man is dangerously warming his planet due to fossil-fuel use.
But a few have kept their heads. Roger Pielke, professor of atmospheric science at Colorado State University, told the Post that "there remain significant uncertainties in the accuracy of the land portion of the surface temperature data, where we have found a significant warm bias."
Judith Curry, professor at Georgia Tech's school of earth and atmospheric sciences, said that "with 2014 essentially tied with 2005 and 2010 for hottest year," the implication is "that there has been essentially no trend in warming over the past decade."
"This 'almost' record year does not help the growing discrepancy between the climate model projections and the surface temperature observations," she added.
There's simply nothing to see here. But that's the way it's always been with the global-warming swindle.
Which is what I've said all along. GloBULL Warming is a man-made fraud, with algore making money as the modern-day travelling medicine show man, making a fortune swindling the public that he can easily fool.

If you don't believe me, then listen to 60 year meteorologist John Coleman, co-founder of the Weather Channel and former weatherman on Good Morning America, who has spent the last few years telling everyone what a fraud gloBULL warming is.

Is Michael Moore Lying About His Uncle To Attack US Navy Seal Chris Kyle & Movie "An American Sniper"?

Over the weekend, Clint Eastwood's move "An American Sniper" a look at the life of the late US Navy Seal (and American hero) Chris Kyle, smashed box office records with a $90.2 million opening weekend.

It's obvious the American public still enjoys and is inspired by tales of heroism by those who have served our country. Nevertheless, that fact bothers those in the Left who constantly bash our nation and those who have defended it.

Seth Rogen, whose movie "The Interview" was given away for free online after a suspected hack by North Korea (which has been called into question), attacked American Sniper as "fake Nazi propaganda."

Then there's that reliably anti-American tub-of-lard Michael Moore (The Daily Caller),
The biopic of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle directed by Clint Eastwood and staring Bradley Cooper is setting box office records, and the “Sicko” director is not too happy about that.
Taking to his Twitter account, Moore wrote, “My uncle killed by sniper in WW2. We were taught snipers were cowards. Will shoot u in the back. Snipers aren’t heroes. And invaders r worse.”
Kyle, the most lethal sniper in military history, saved countless lives of American soldiers in his four tours of duty in Iraq. He was killed in February 2013 by a fellow soldier he was trying to help who was suffering from severe post-traumatic stress.
Moore is a well-known Hollywood progressive who advocates for socialism and “economic justice.” Moore has a history of attacking the military, corporations and the wealthy while embracing totalitarian regimes around the world, including Cuba. While he’s never been in the military, he and his company have made tens of millions of dollars through his films.
His recent divorce exposed his lavish lifestyle, including a huge mansion in Traverse City, Mich., which exposed him to charges of hypocrisy.
This morning, Fatboy is lamely claiming he wasn't talking about Kyle.

Moore has made a habit of lying in his "documentaries" in order to twist the truth to meet his Leftist logic.  The DC pointed out that for Moore's first big hit, "Roger and Me" he did interview GM CEO Roger Smith twice but did not use the footage, choosing instead to make it look like Smith was dodging Moore. Moore's Oscar winning anti-gun crockumentary "Bowling for Columbine" was filled with falsehoods, as was his 9/11 blood libel Fahrenheit 9/11.

John Stossel, on ABC's 20/20, even exposed fat boy's lies about how communist Cuba has the best health-care system.

Which brings me to this point, and I want to preface before I begin. It is not my intention to malign or disparage the military service of those who have honorably served our nation, as well as those who gave their lives for this country (including any relative of a fat piece of crap who disparages their service).  But given Moore's past track record of lying to make a point, I wouldn't doubt that he would lie about his uncle in order to attack our military.

Thanks to Dan Riehl on Twitter, who uncovered some items that call Moore's claim into question.

Quoted from this website The Battle of Manila:
Another outstanding characteristic of the Japanese defense preparations was the great number of automatic weapons, a number all out of proportion to the troop strength. The basic infantry weapon, the rifle, played a very secondary role, being used mainly for the protection of the automatic weapons and for last-ditch personnel defense. The much publicized--but seldom encountered--Japanese sniper played no significant part. Indeed, after the battle XIV Corps reported:
Despite frequent mention by our troops of "snipers," the sniper as a carefully placed individual rifleman specializing in long-range selective firing seldom made an appearance (hardly any telescopic rifle sights were found in Manila).14
On the other hand, the Japanese used various types of grenades with great abandon, especially in defense of buildings.
Also this:
Unless Moore's uncle served in a different airborne unit, there is no Lawrence Moore listed on the KIA of the 511th Parachute Infantry.

A Lawrence L. Moore, enlisted in January 1942 in Detroit, MI. A review of the World War II killed in action lists from Wayne County, MI (Detroit), as well as Genesee County (Flint) show no Lawrence Moore on their roster.

Now, maybe someone who has better access to military records may be able to verify Moore's claims, and if they do, I will update this post. But based on his track record of supporting the terrorists in Iraq (they are the Minutemen), and his hate of the US Military ("Stop saying I support the troops. I don’t. I used to.") I'm calling BS on his claims.

So the ball is now in your court, Tubby! Put up or shut up!

Muslim Congressman Who Claimed Tea Party Used "N-Word" & Wanted To Lynch Blacks, To Be Appointed By Pelosi To House Intel Committee

Leave it to a treasonous loon like Nancy Bella-Pelosi to make such an appointment to an important committee (Politico).
Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi announced in a closed-door meeting Tuesday she would name the first Muslim lawmaker to the House’s Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
A senior Democratic aide said Rep. André Carson of Indiana would be named in the “coming days” to the key national security-focused panel. Pelosi (D-Calif.) told lawmakers of the appointment during the members’ weekly caucus meeting.
Carson would be the first Muslim to serve on the committee and was the second Muslim to be elected to Congress. He already serves on the Armed Services Committee and worked for the Department of Homeland Security’s Fusion Center — the clearinghouse established by the federal government to streamline data sharing between the CIA, FBI, Department of Justice and the military.
This is an appointment that should not happen, because of possible links Carson may have with Muslim extremists. Recently, he participated in a convention hosted by a Muslim Brotherhood linked group.
Indiana Representative Andre Carson (D) took part in a major Islamic convention in Chicago this weekend.  The convention was hosted and sponsored by the Muslim American Society (MAS) and the Islamic Circle of North America.
Carson was a featured guest on a panel discussing the events in Ferguson and beyond.  He was joined on that panel by a man named Mazen Mokhtar, who is known for operating an Al Qaeda website and fundraising for the Taliban.
It is presumed that Carson knew who Mokhtar is, and it is certain that the FBI knows who Mokhtar is, as he was named in a 2004 federal investigation of a UK-based Al Qaeda website that raised money for the Taliban, among other terrorist organizations.  Mokhtar stands accused of operating a US-based mirror website of the one in the UK, according to PJ Media.
As per the Washington Post:  “Mazen Mokhtar, an Egyptian-born imam and political activist, operated a Web [sic] site identified in an affidavit unsealed Friday by the U.S. attorney’s office in Connecticut. The Web site solicited funds for the Taliban and Chechen mujaheddin, according to the affidavit. It is an exact replica of Web [sic] sites operated by Babar Ahmad, who was arrested in England on a U.S. extradition warrant this week.”
Carson also has a hostility toward Tea Party activists. He is the source of the allegation that Tea Party activists called him and other members of the Congressional Black Caucus the "n-word" at the anti-Obamacare rally outside the Cannon House Office Building in Washington DC. Video and other accounts proved the allegations false, but neither Carson nor the CBC retracted their slander. The NAACP used this lie to attack the Tea Party for racism.

In 2011, the racist Carson used race once again to attack the Tea Party.
Rep. Andre Carson, a Democrat from Indiana who serves as the CBC’s chief vote counter, said at a CBC event in Miami that some in Congress would “love to see us as second-class citizens” and “some of them in Congress right now of this tea party movement would love to see you and me ... hanging on a tree.”

If any Republican is worth their salt, they will stop this appointment, Carson is not worthy to be on this committee, nor is he to be trusted.

Are Jihadis Possibly In The Rio Grande Valley? Feds Warn Residents To Be On Watch

The Federal Government is warning residents living in my old stomping grounds of the Rio Grande Valley in Texas to be on the lookout for possible terrorist activity (KRGV). (VIDEO)
WESLACO - Terrorists may be operating in the Rio Grande Valley. Federal officials said area residents must keep an eye for suspicious activity.
CHANNEL 5 NEWS reported how an al Shabab terrorist tried to cross into the Rio Grande Valley. Four years ago, Hezbollah had safe houses all along the border on the Mexican side, and they are doing businesses with the cartels.
Terrorists trekking through the region don’t don the typical battle garb. They tend to blend in with other immigrants, officials said.
Federal officials said they rely on the public for help.
“The FBI can't do this on their own. We can't monitor Twitter and Facebook and all entities. What we need are individuals in the community to reach to us if they see or hear anything that could be terrorism. Threats against individuals or entities in the name of terrorism,” FBI Special Agent Shane Utter said.
...“The point is that terrorism can occur anywhere. We've seen recently with online radicalization of individuals, anywhere is where terrorism can occur at this time,” Utter said.

Second Worst US President, Dhimmi Carter, Blames Da JOOOOs For Jihad in France

The old, anti-Semite peanut farmer from Georgia is off his meds again (Daily Caller).
In the wake of the Islamist terror attacks in France against cartoonists and Jews, former President Jimmy Carter’s first reaction was to pin the motivation for such terrorism on Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians. Appearing on “The Daily Show” Monday, Carter was asked by host Jon Stewart whether the violence the world saw on the streets of Paris was actually fueled by something else other than Islamic extremism.
“Well, one of the origins for it is the Palestinian problem,” Carter replied. “And this aggravates people who are affiliated in any way with the Arab people who live in the West Bank and Gaza, what they are doing now — what’s being done to them. So I think that’s part of it.”
Carter didn’t explain how solving the Israeli-Palestinian issue would in any way resolve the violent conflicts currently engulfing the Arab world, including the Syrian civil war, the Islamic State’s takeover of part of Iraq and its brutal implementation of Islamic law, and the conflict between the Egyptian government and the Muslim Brotherhood, just to name a few. Nor did he detail how the “Palestinian problem” helps explain why three French Muslims murdered innocent French Jews buying groceries for the coming Sabbath and cartoonists preparing the next issue of their paper. (READ: The Truth About Muslim Violence).
Judicial Watch has a refresher on Carter's background of siding with Islamists and other dictators.
Carter has long supported Palestinian extremism and justifies its violence as a reaction to Israeli apartheid. In fact, he’s the only U.S. president to participate in a highly publicized hug fest with Middle Eastern terrorist leaders. The shameful meeting took place during a visit to Syria where Carter met Hamas leader Khaled Meshal, who runs his violent operation from Damascus to avoid being arrested by the Israeli government. Hamas, a sophisticated and well-funded Palestinian extremist group, has for years appeared on the State Department’s list of foreign terrorist organizations and for a former president, or any western leader of Carter’s stature, to meet with its boss is inconceivable.
The former president also penned a disgraceful book (“Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid”)—justifying Palestinian violence—that outraged even his most loyal allies. In the book Carter calls Israel the “tiny vortex around which swirl the winds of hatred, intolerance and bloodshed.” He also writes that Israelis believe they have the right to confiscate and colonize Palestinian land and try to justify the subjugation and persecution of increasingly hopeless and aggravated Palestinians and some Palestinians react by honoring suicide bombers as martyrs to be rewarded in heaven and consider the killing of Israelis as victories.
As if all this weren’t bad enough, a few years ago Carter went to Cuba, long a sponsor of terrorism, where he joined communist Dictator Fidel Castro and his brother Raul in a schmooze fest. The men publicly bashed the United States and Carter became the only sitting or former America president to visit the Caribbean island renowned for human rights violations. Carter had also visited Cuba years earlier in an effort to lift America’s decades-long trade embargo against the oppressive communist dictatorship. The former president also worked to free five convicted Cuban government spies from federal prison. President Obama recently released them as part of a secret agreement with Castro.

Hey Jimmy, why don't you go back to Plains, pound sand and lust in your heart instead of flapping your gums

OUTRAGEOUS! Obama Regime Snubs Paris Anti-Terror Rally, Racist AG Holder In Paris But MIA From Rally

Every American should be ashamed at the lack of leadership being shown in the world today, as the so called "leaders" of the United States did not show up in Paris for the largest rally in that town since American troops liberated France's capital city from the Nazi in 1944 (UK Daily Mail).
President Barack Obama and other top members of his administration have snubbed a historic rally in Paris today that brought together more than 40 world leaders from Europe, Africa, the Middle East and even Russia.
Adversaries including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Russian Foreign Affairs Minister Sergei Lavrov put aside their differences and linked arms for a march down the Place de la Concorde in defiance of the Islamist terror attacks that rocked the city last week.
The heads of all major European powers, including British Prime Minister David Cameron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel joined French President Francois Hollande.
But the US was missing in action. President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden remained in Washington - despite having no public events on their schedules today. Secretary of State John Kerry was a world away in Indian, on a pre-planned trip.
Attorney General Eric Holder was in Paris for a terrorism summit, but he slipped away and made appearances on four US morning talk shows just as the incredible rally was starting.
...Political opponents - and even some allies - were quick to criticize Obama for not showing up himself, or at least sending a top member of the administration to represent him.
'Sad that 50 world leaders could show solidarity in Paris but President Obama refused to participate. The cowardice continues,' tweeted Republican former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
Politico reporter Ben White wrote: 'Is it just me or does it feel like Obama should be at this big March in Paris?'
Fox News host Greta Van Susteren said: 'This is really embarrassing - WHERE IS PRESIDENT OBAMA? Why didn't he go?'
While the President Obama is a busy man, his absence at the show of international solidarity was notable, considering his schedule was wide open today.
Vice President Joe Biden often fills in for the president at events like this, but he was no where to be seen either, despite his similarly empty schedule.
Most remarkable was the fact that Holder, one of the top members of Obama's cabinet, was in Paris on Sunday - but skipped the rally.
While Holder was pictured shaking hands with French officials after the event, he slipped away before the march kicked off around 3pm.
Holder appeared on four Sunday morning talk shows around the same time as the march - though it's uncertain whether he spoke live from Paris or if his segments were pre-recorded. The Department of Justice would not immediately comment on Holder's schedule with Daily Mail Online.
According to Buzzfeed, Holder left Paris after the summit to return to Washington.
Meanwhile, Secretary of State John Kerry was half a world away in India, preparing for the president's upcoming trip to the south Asian country in the coming weeks.
The American Ambassador to France Jane Hartley attended the march on behalf of the U.S., but is unrecognizable to most Americans, let alone the rest of the world.
CNN's Fareed Zakaria was one of the many who noticed President Obama's absence, and remarked that it was a mistake not to show up and support our 'deepest ideological ally'.
Zakaria said that it would have sent an important message to have an American face among the wold leaders.
Forbes columnist Stuart Anderson echoed Zakaria's statements, saying: 'By not attending the unity rally in Paris on Sunday, President Obama has missed an opportunity to show leadership, to demonstrate that Americans are as committed to fight against terrorism as anyone in the world.
'And that America stands with its allies in a worldwide battle that, unfortunately, is likely to last many years.'
Holder, to his disgrace, hogged the cameras for the Sunday morning news shows (Time).
Attorney General Eric Holder said investigators do not have any credible information on which terrorist group was responsible for last week’s attack on French satirical newspaper Charlie Hedbo in Paris.
Though al-Qaeda’s Yemen branch claimed responsibility for the brutal attack on the publication’s staff, Holder cautioned viewers during several Sunday morning TV appearances against jumping to conclusions, the Associated Press reports.

Though the French Prime Minister said his country is at war with radical Islam, Holder refused to name radical Islam as an enemy of the United States as well as Western civilization.  But Holder, who participated in an armed assualt on a ROTC office as part of a black supremacist group, is not shy when it comes to attacking America's police officers, even calling them an "occupying force" in the days before a mad Islamist made a trip to Brooklyn to kill two NYPD police officers thanks to the anti-police rheteoric Holder, Obama, Al Sharpton and New York Mayor Bill de Commio spewed. Holder's Department of Racial Justice also took the death penalty off the table for four black gang members who killed a police officer in Virginia.  Holder has a past history of defending terror suspects.  Even worse is his record on free speech. Holder has targeted journalists for investigation, and is former CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson is suing Holder's Racial Justice Department after her computer was hacked.  Holder is quick to attack Americans as being "cowards" when it comes to race, but the facts and his actions show that Holder is a coward when it comes to seeing what a blind person can see, that radical Islamists are a threat to not just the United States, but all civilized people.

It's not just Holder. Richard Milhous Hussein-Obama has had his head buried deep in the sand when it comes to the threat of radical Islam. This phrase from his book "The Audacity of Hope" was a warning.
"I will stand with them (the Muslims) should the political winds shift in an ugly direction." Obama, "The Audacity of Hope"
Under his leadership, 9/11 was watered down to a "Day of Service" where you mowed your neighbor's lawn or took out their trash. War on Terror became an "overseas contingency operation." Veterans and Tea Party activists were seen as potential terror suspects.  The attack on Fort Hood by jihadist Nidal Hassan was called "workplace violence.  Obama's Regime has also expressed the idea their job is to promote Islam.  Not only that, we saw how Obama stood at the UN in 2012, days after the Benghazi attack, and said the "future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam." Obama's Regime even imprisoned an American filmmaker for an obscure YouTube video mocking Mohammed in a way to distract from his Regime's failures and not responding to warnings about security at the Benghazi compound.  Obama even suppoted the idea of the "victory mosque" near the sacred site of the World Trade Center in New York. Instead of acting as a defender of the United States and leader of the free world, Obama appears as the biggest Muslim sympathizer and apologist after every such attack.

And what has all this good will and understanding from Obama toward the so-called Muslim street gotten us? ISIS has risen up in Iraq thanks to Obama's surrender there. The Taliban is threatening to take over Afghanistan as Obama is headed for the door. Ft Hood, a killing at a recruiting station in Arkansas, the Boston Marathon bombing. Obama, like Neville Chamberlain in 1938, shows weakness to a fanatical enemy, thinking it will bring "peace." But instead, weakness emboldens these Islamists.

I think back to these words spoken over 50 years ago by Ronald Reagan in his "A Time for Choosing" speech:
We're at war with the most dangerous enemy that has ever faced mankind in his long climb from the swamp to the stars, and it's been said if we lose that war, and in so doing lose this way of freedom of ours, history will record with the greatest astonishment that those who had the most to lose did the least to prevent its happening.
and what I see with the snub of France today is frightening. America, just as in abandoning Iraq and Afghanistan, shows our allies we cannot be trusted to defend them from oppressors.  And when lack of leadership leaves a vacuum, only oppressors take charge.

#CharlieHebdo - On Which Side Do You Stand?

My friend Larry O'Connor made the point on Twitter and on his Drive at Five radio show on WMAL in Washington DC these two points, in regards to today's Jihad in Paris.
"I prefer to die standing up than live on my knees" VERSUS "The future does not belong to those who insult the prophet of Islam"
Who said which?

The editor of Charlie Hebdo, who was among those murdered today by Islamofascists.

Or Richard Milhous-Hussein Obama.

Note that while he and his propaganda minister gave the lip service to condemning the attack, the Obama Regime criticized the magazine who was the victim of today's Islamic terror attack back in September 2012.

Unfortunately, too many still have not learned, or have willingly stuck their heads in the sand, the lessons of 9/11/01. People like Howard "the Scream" Dean, who refuses to label the attackers as Muslims.  So many of them are of a liberal mindset, just like Obama and his Regime, who act as nothing but apologists for radical Islamic terrorism.  Remember how Hillary Rotten Clinton said we should "empathize" with our enemies. But they're always the first to blame the Tea Party, gun owners, the police or the military for violence here in America, even before all the facts are in.

Liberal Logic is Deadly

San Francisco photojournalist Zombie wrote the following at Zomblog: Do Not Submit! Republish the Mohammed Cartoons Everywhere. Here’s How.
Today’s terror attack on Charlie Hedbo, the irreverent French satirical magazine that was one of the few media outlets in France to publish the original “Mohammed cartoons,” is an attempt by Islamic fundamentalists to enforce shari’a worldwide, even on non-Muslims.
We must not let them succeed.
Self-censoring out of fear means self-imposition of shari’a (Islamic law).
Self-censoring out of “respect” (actually just a euphemism for fear) means you are submitting to the terrorists’ worldview.
The way to overcome them in this instance is to overwhelm them with disrespect and mockery.
They can silence one magazine, but they can’t silence the entire Internet.
Every blogger, of every political stripe, be it left, right, and everywhere in between, needs to realize that freedom of speech and freedom of the press are the two keystones of your ideology, whatever it may be. You need to make a stand. You need to make these terrorists lose the ideological battle.
And the way to do that is to republish the Mohammed cartoons yourselves. Today. Right now.
Fill the world with images of Mohammed so that the terrorists realize they can never expunge them all.
But where to get the pictures? Easy.
The Mohammed Image Archive, which I have hosted at zombietime since the day of the original “Mohammed cartoon crisis” back in May of 2006, has not only a full collection of the original cartoons, but more importantly the largest collection of Mohammed imagery ever assembled in the history of the world.
I hereby grant permission, and even encourage, anyone reading this to repost any images found anywhere on the Mohammed Image Archive. No limits. Repost them all, if you want to.
In that vein, here is a video of some of Charlie Hebdo's Mohammed cartoons with English translations.

Jihad In Paris: 12 Killed At Satirical Magazine Charlie Hebdo "We Have Avenged the Prophet!"

We wake up this morning to horrific news and video coming from Paris France.

From the BBC:
Gunmen have attacked the Paris office of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, killing 12 people and injuring seven in an apparent Islamist attack.
At least two masked attackers opened fire with assault rifles in the office and exchanged shots with police in the street outside before escaping by car.
The gunmen shouted "we have avenged the Prophet Muhammad", witnesses say.
President Francois Hollande said there was no doubt it had been a terrorist attack "of exceptional barbarity".
A major police operation is under way in the Paris area to catch the killers.
Four of the magazine's well-known cartoonists, including its editor-in-chief Stephane Charbonnier were reported among those killed, as well as at least two police officers.
Mr Charbonnier, 47, had received death threats in the past and was living under police protection.
French media have named the three other cartoonists killed in the attack as Cabu, Tignous and Wolinski. Reports say the attack took place during the magazine's daily editorial meeting.
I'm sure we will be learning more about this in the hours to come.

John Boehner Stands By Steve Scalise, But Condemned Tea Party When Falsely Accused Of Yelling N-Word At CBC

One Of Many (Bipartisan) Double Standards in Scalise/David Duke Controversy

Here's one more reason to get rid of "Sobbin" John Boehner, his defense of the number three House GOP leader Steve Scalise, who came under fire last week when it was revealed he had allegedly spoken at a conference linked to white supremacists and the kooky KKK guy David Duke.

Scalise's messaging has hardly been a defense. He issues an apology and then, right before New Years', a guy associated with Duke says Scalise didn't speak at the conference.

First, why do you have someone linked to a white supremacist make a defense for you? Second, what does it say when you campaigned as being "David Duke without the baggage"? What makes you think that what David Duke stands for is conservatism? It is not.

It doesn't help matters that the Obama White House, who makes everything about race for political purposes, is now using this to tar and feather the GOP. And of course, this story broke just after it was revealed that King Racist the Narcissist Obama demanded a military couple move their wedding from the 16th hole of a golf course so he could play through.

But Scalise has the confidence of Boehner, who issued the following statement.
“More than a decade ago, Representative Scalise made an error in judgment, and he was right to acknowledge it was wrong and inappropriate.  Like many of my colleagues on both sides of the aisle, I know Steve to be a man of high integrity and good character.  He has my full confidence as our Whip, and he will continue to do great and important work for all Americans.”
But when the Tea Party is alleged of racism, the same John Boehner, who defends a political ally, is quick to distance himself from and condemn this movement.

Flashback to NBC's Meet The Depressed, March 21, 2010:
David Gregory:  Let me interject a question about the tone of this debate. This was the scene on Capitol Hill yesterday where you had tea party activists protesting the vote.  And in some cases it got quite ugly, where we had instances of anti-gay epithets being hurled at  Congressman Frank, racist epithets, as well, hurled by protesters.  Are you concerned, Leader Boehner, that the Republican Party is in any way associated with tea party activists who are among these protesters?
REP. BOEHNER:  Well, listen.  There were some isolated incidents on the Hill yesterday that were reprehensible and should not have happened.  But let's not let a few isolated incidents get in the way of the fact that millions of Americans are scared to death and millions of Americans want no part of this growing size of government here in Washington.
The problem is, by the time Boehner was spooked out about being called a racist by NBC that Sunday morning, this blog (who was there and took video) and many others were casting doubt on the allegations made by the Congressional Black Caucus because of video like this.

I'm not defending Scalise. I think he should flushed out, along with Speaker Boehner.

Mr. Scalise:
1. Why did you attend any meeting at the behest of your neighbor - a known, long-time David Duke operator and confidant, Kenny Knight?
2. You know David Duke is a vile racist and anti-Semite, right?
3. If so, why did you have any association at all with Knight, a lowlife, let alone and apparently a mildly friendly one?
4. It has been reported that this sicko donated $1000 to your campaign. Amazingly, even now you apparently haven't returned it. Why?
5. I have to ask, Mr. Scalise, are you an idiot?
No one is saying Scalise is a racist. But the idiot defense is not good enough for the #3 Republican House leader. There's just too much at stake and it's not too much to expect much better from the Republican Party.
The truth is if Scalise was a Tea Party member of Congress serving in leadership, Boehner and his media cheerleaders like Rove, et al, would have forced his resignation by now, not mounted a vigorous "defense."
More to the point, Scalise is a Boehner lieutenant. He's an unprincipled operator who, among other things, did grave damage to the formerly conservative Republican Study Committee and supported Boehner's efforts to purge conservatives from key committee assignments. He's yet another example of what's wrong with the GOP and Washington. The American people are sick of it, and those who defend such awful establishment leadership are not doing either the GOP or the nation any favors. Scalise is another setback.
More from Jen Kuznicki: Remove Scalise
The nation is experiencing race riots and the number three Republican chose to seek KKK support.
Is that what you want for the Republican Party?
And then the number two Republican and the loathsome Boehner stood up for him.
The Scalise story is not over, it has just begun, and he needs to be removed from leadership.
Please read the important information in my article at Conservative Review.
Carrying Scalise Will Get Too Heavy, Fast
But you're not off the hook, Obama White House, and all you liberal Democrats who are gleefully rubbing your hands together because you have another attempt at painting all conservatives as racist, KKK members.  Because there are so many double standards that apply to you libs when it comes to race.

What are the origins of the Ku Klux Klan? The Democrat Party

A member of that terrorist group was none other than West Virginia Senator Robert "Sheets" Byrd (D-KKK) a former Kleagle and Exalted Cyclops of the KKK in West Virginia.

Liberals dismissed Byrd's background, saying that was decades ago. If that's the case, then why did "Sheets" Byrd use the n-word on national TV in 2001?

Remember how Bill Clinton rationalized "Sheets" Byrd's membership in the Klan?

"He once had a fleeting association with the Klu Klux Klan, what does that mean? I'll tell you what it means. He was a country boy from the hills and hollows from West Virginia. He was trying to get elected. And maybe he did something he shouldn't have done come and he spent the rest of his life making it up. And that's what a good person does. There are no perfect people. There are certainly no perfect politicians."
Yeah right, nothing like making up your past association with the KKK like opposing the 1964 Civil Rights Act, voting against blacks like Thurgood Marshall, Clarence Thomas and Condoleeza Rice, and using a racial slur on TV.

How about the man Democrat's point to as the "Civil Rights President" Lyndon B. Johnson?

"But that was way back when, Democrats don't act like that now" Mr. Liberal will reply.

Oh really? Here's a video of attendees at a Congressional Black Party function (people who alleged Tea Party racism), calling Herman Cain and Allen West the derogatory slur "Oreo" (black on the outside, white on the inside).

How did MSNBC treat GOP consultant and Tea Party activist Niger Innis back in 2002? (Imagine if Fox News did this to a liberal)

What did the Democrat Party do when a Michigan Democrat elected to a township council called the supervisor "an arrogant n*gger" and then tried to brush it off as a "slip of the tongue" when (if you hear the tape below) what she knew she was saying before she said it.

How can the Obama White House throw racial stones when Obama not only resided in a racist "church" for 20 years, but has this tax evader as a frequent guest in the White House.

Obama also gave the Presidential Medal of Freedom to "Reverend" Joseph Lowery. Lowery also gave the benediction at Obama's last inaugural. Lowery once said he believed all white people were "going to hell."

Let me also bring this up about David Duke as a point of reference to show he's anything but "conservative." Here's a photo I took back in 2009.

No, that sign wasn't at a Tea Party rally, but at a January 2009 anti-Israel rally near the White House that was basically a pro-Hamas, Hezbollah rally.  Do a google search and you'll find Duke spewing 9/11 conspiracies. He also expressed support for anti-Bush, anti-US troop cheerleader Cindy Sheehan back in 2005.

White Steve Scalise has a lot to answer for, liberals who live in glass houses are the last to throw stones.

The Fat Lady May Be Singing For "Sobbin" John Boehner

It looks like the surrender by John Boehner on funding Obama's unconstitutional amnesty and Obamacare has fired up a conservative rebellion against "Sobbin" John, and it's about time!

From Breitbart:
Rep. Ted Yoho (R-FL) says he will vote against House Speaker John Boehner’s re-election. Further, Yoho is the first GOP member of the House of Representatives to announce he is willing to stand up as an alternative candidate to Boehner if no other alternatives emerge. Yoho joins Reps. Jim Bridenstine (R-OK) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) in announcing he will not be voting for Boehner on Tuesday.
“I ran for Congress in 2012 because I had had enough,” Yoho said in announcing his public opposition to Boehner. “Enough of career politicians, enough of political gamesmanship, and enough of the lack of leadership in Washington. As we enter 2015, we are faced with overwhelming challenges. However, the dawn of 2015 also promises unlimited potential and the opportunity to begin rebuilding America.”
Yoho also said in his statement that he would be willing to stand up as a potential alternative candidate to Boehner, if members feel they need to vote for someone other than Boehner even though the Congressional Research Service report detailing speakership elections says there is no need for an alternative. Technically, Republicans need just 29 GOP votes for someone other than Boehner as Speaker on the first ballot—at which point the vote would be kicked off to a second or third or fourth ballot. If Boehner is not re-elected swiftly on the first ballot, it is likely that shortly thereafter an alternative would emerge.
In a news release, Rep. Bridenstine applauded Yoho’s actions. “Congressman Ted Yoho is a courageous leader. I applaud and respect him for standing up to offer an alternative to the status quo,” the Oklahoma Republican announced.
One of my favorites (and a fellow Texan) Rep. Louie Gohmert, has also announced he'll challenge Boehner.
Rep. Louie Gohmert (TX-01) released the following statement today regarding his decision to buck the status quo and challenge John Boehner in the race for House Speaker:
“After the November elections gave Republicans control of the Senate, voters made clear they wanted change. There have been numerous examples of problematic Republican leadership, but we were hopeful our leaders got the voters’ message. However, after our Speaker forced through the CRomnibus by passing it with Democratic votes and without time to read it, it seemed clear that we needed new leadership. There had been much discussion. But, until yesterday, no one had stepped up.
I applaud my friend Rep. Ted Yoho for putting his name forward as an alternative to the status quo. Ted is a good man for whom I could vote, but I have heard from many supporters and also friends in Congress who have urged me to put forward my name for Speaker as well to increase our chances of change. That is why I am also offering my name as a candidate for Speaker.
There is false information being floated that any Republican candidates in addition to the current Speaker will split the vote and give the Speaker's gavel to Congresswoman Pelosi. This is nothing but a scare tactic to keep the current regime in power.
Via FreeRepublic.com, these Twitter posts from Matthew Boyle tell not only how Gohmert for Speaker website has received a ton of traffic, but more defections against Boehner are being prepared.

The big vote is Tuesday, and in the meantime, we shall see what happens between now and then.

Ninth Blogoversary (A Day Early)

Happy 2015 everyone and I hope you had a great Christmas and New Years holiday.

Nine years ago tomorrow, I decided to dip my toe in the blogosphere and created this blog. At the time (2006), I was living in Marin County, CA (hence the title), George W. Bush was President, Republicans held both houses on Congress, the unemployment rate was somewhere around 5 percent.

Today, I'm living in Fairfax County, Virginia (since 2007). Richard Milhous Obama has been President since 2009 (and gotten away with stuff that Richard Nixon only dreamed of), Republican now hold both houses of Congress once again, and less people are working today than they were in 2006.

A lot of other changes have happened to the country, and I'm sure personal changes to all of us as well.

Anyway, I'm glad to be back and kick off 2015. Thank you for stopping by and reading.  If you haven't yet, feel free to connect as well on Twitter and Facebook.
