Speaking of Texas....

I'm headed out the door to Ted Cruz's home state (and my native state), Texas.

It's that time of the year when I go out of town for my day job and spend the days and nights wheeling and dealing.

While I'm there, I'm looking forward to seeing family as well.

So, I will be away from the blog until then. But, I'll be popping up on Twitter so you can keep in touch with me there (if you're not following me already).

A Once in A Lifetime Speech: Ted Cruz Announces Presidential Run & Sets A High Bar for 2016 Field

I just finished watching what is probably one of the greatest political speeches in recent American history, probably since Sarah Palin's 2008 GOP VP nominee address, and echoing Ronald Reagan's various speeches from 1964 onward.

I'm talking about Texas Senator Ted Cruz's announcement that he is running for President in 2016, which he made earlier today at Liberty University.

Why is this speech important. Because Ted Cruz used his 2016 candidacy announcement to remind America of the greatness of this nation, our core values, and how what we take so much for granted is not from government, but from God.  Basically, Cruz reminded us that what makes this nation great is far greater than any man or woman, any political party, or any government. It is in our core values and in the heart of the American people. That's something the current Regime, his party, and quite frankly too many Republicans have lost sight of.

True, Cruz spoke without a teleprompter, because maybe you don't necessarily need one when you are able to speak from your heart. In sharing his personal story, Cruz connected with his audience and showed the greatness of American. Plus, Cruz acknowledges a Being higher than him, instead of a certain guy who you'll find on a golf course in DC who mistakenly thinks he is God.

Whether Cruz will end up being the nominee is another thing, because it's a long way to the nomination. However, Cruz raised the bar that every 2016 GOP candidate must meet. It isn't enough just to be a Republican, you have to stand for something. Being for Common Core, being pro-amnesty, and making money off of Obamacare isn't acceptable. It's not enough to be for "quasi-big government," or  to be a "compassionate conservative." Talk is cheap. Are you as a candidate going to be willing to be one of "bold colors, not pale pastels"?

That's what Ted Cruz showed today, bold colors. That's what whoever the GOP candidate needs to articulate and show by their actions.

Grade Redistribution Next? Fairfax County VA Schools Consider Absurd "No Zero" Grading Scheme

I got wind of this yesterday from some teachers I know in the Fairfax County Public Schools, who now appear to want quantity (or equality) instead of quality (Washington ComPost).
The Fairfax County schools administration is considering sweeping changes to the grading system for middle school and high school classes that could help struggling students keep their grades up.
In a message sent to thousands of teachers Tuesday, Deputy Superintendent Steven Lockard detailed a series of proposals under consideration to revamp how teachers hand out grades to students and to standardize exam scores across the county.
The changes could have widespread impact in the school system, affecting students’ chances of getting into college and how teachers handle homework and tests. Under current rules, high schools in Fairfax have the flexibility to decide grading scales and methods. For example, an F could equal a zero at some schools but could be scored as 50 percent at others.
“It is time to examine our current grading policies in an effort to ensure that we have consistent and equitable practices throughout our middle and high schools,” Lockard wrote.
Excuse me, Mr. Lockard, all this talk about "equitable practices" is nothing but pure, feel-good liberalism on display.  That's the same kind of mindset that says "we can't have any losers, so, let's give everyone a participation certificate to make everyone feel like a winner.

The ComPost article is mostly one-sided in favor of this "no-zero" policy.
School Board member Megan McLaughlin (Braddock), who has two sons at Woodson High School, said the grading changes would potentially improve students’ chances when they apply to college.
McLaughlin said that because grading policies now vary school to school, Fairfax students aren’t being fairly judged by admissions officers. (McLaughlin served as an admissions officer at Georgetown University for six years.)
For example, McLaughlin said, some schools allow students to retake tests to improve their grades, while other schools do not.
“What happens when you apply for college and kids from other schools have higher grades?” McLaughlin said.
McLaughlin founded the parent advocacy group Fairgrade and ran for a seat on the School Board after successfully lobbying Fairfax administrators to change the district’s strict grading for honors and college-level classes.
She said one proposal under consideration would allow students across the county to receive credit for submitting corrected answers to questions they got wrong on tests. McLaughlin said she also supports the proposal to replace zeros with a 50 percent for F grades.
I would say there should be a consistent grading system, that's not the issue, the problem is the ridiculous and absurd ideas McLaughlin, a liberal Democrat, pushes as a school board member like the correcting answers you get wrong on tests or giving a student a 50 instead of a zero.

But reality clashes with the liberal, feel-good gaga pushed by people like McLaughlin and Lockard, that is, removing something called "incentive." Gina Caneva wrote the following experiences she had at her school when they adopted the "no zero" grading policy in the Chicago area.
Many students continued to fall into similar categories--the students who didn’t do homework still didn’t do it, those who didn’t do much class work still didn’t do much class work, and a few opted out of an exam.  But there was one major change: The kids who once worked hard to pass by attending tutoring sessions instead decided to forego the sessions and do other things.
In fact, even though both batches of freshmen were similar academically, our on-track rate rose from 59 percent to 87 percent.  Since few students were truly failing, hardly anyone thought they needed to work hard to improve.
With 87 percent of our freshmen considered on-track, one would expect that those in the second group would have much higher standardized test scores. But in fact, the ACT scores of both groups were nearly the same, and equally abysmal—a 15.1 for those with a 59 percent on-track rate, and a 15.4 for the group with 87 percent on-track
After one year, some teachers wanted to reverse the no-zero policy, but the administration would not allow it.  Why would they, when a major metric for rating a school, the freshman on-track rate, had increased nearly 30 percentage points and was far higher than the CPS average?
However, the statistic was not accurate in comparison to schools that did not have a no-zero policy. It was just that our expectations weren’t as high: If a student earned a D at our school for the same work that would have earned an F somewhere else, of course our on-track rates were higher.
Now, with the new school ratings system in CPS, many networks and schools are trying out no-zero policies, especially schools that are already on probation and have experienced little improvement.  My suggestion to these schools is to not lower your expectations for students by giving them the academic equivalent of a Monopoly-like “Get out of jail free” card.  With the no-zero policy, I saw us telling our students, “You can get a pass even when you don’t work hard for it.”
It is incredibly difficult for people in our country to claw their way out of generational poverty.  A good education is central to that struggle. And yet we are saying to young people in Chicago who have grown up in the deepest poverty, “You don’t have to work hard to pass. You can miss half of your assignments in all of your classes, and you can still graduate from our high school.”  Most suburban schools and selective enrollment schools would never even consider this rule.  And no, most colleges will not apply it either.  But we are allowing our students in CPS to believe they are on-track because of it.
Part of the problem with this isn't just the schools, it is also what goes on in the home, and the type of people who call themselves "parents" today.

I've heard too many stories from teachers who have little Johnny or Susie in their class who is always in trouble, never seems to do their work or care, and when progress report or report card time comes along, the parents call, e-mail, or go to the school to complain to the teacher (or their administrator) about why their little angel is failing or always in trouble.  It's never the fault of the kid.  Maybe it's me, maybe I grew up in a different time and place, or maybe I had the "wrong" parents (because they cared about whether or not my sister or I were doing in school), but if I wasn't doing well in school, it wasn't the teacher who had to give an explanation, it was me who had to explain why my grades were sucking.  Maybe at the time I didn't like it, but I look back on it now, there was something called "incentive." I was motivated to do well in school, because it was expected of us. Looking at too many of today's kids, I'm glad for what I had in that upbringing.

Not only that, how are today's kids who get by with nothing but "participation awards" or "passing grade for the effort" going to be productive in the real world when it comes to getting their lazy butts out of bed, get to work on time, and be productive. Do you want a surgeon to perform your surgery who passed on the basis of "minimum or little effort" because self-esteem was threatened.

There's another factor besides the mushy, feel-good aspect. The big green $$$$$. Schools want the money from the state and federal governments, and won't get it if they're failing schools. So, pass as many kids along to the next grade to the government grants come rolling in.

This is why I've always been, and now even more so, a supporter of vouchers for private schools, because of these absurd practices proposed in Fairfax County, as well as the ridiculous "Common Core" scheme and the monopoly on government run schools by the liberal teacher's unions.  What's next after this? Students who earn grades of 90-100 have to have 15 points taken off and given to those with the lowest grade for "fairness and equity?"

If you live in Fairfax County and share my feelings, contact the school board.

Obama Rebuked! BiBi Netanyahu Wins Re-election As Israeli Prime Minister

Richard Milhous Hussein-Obama, and his evil MiniMe Valerie Jarrett the Iranian, were rebuked big time today by the voters in Israel (Breitbart).
Meanwhile, the mainstream media are at a loss for words. They had expected Netanyahu to lose, perhaps even by a wide enough margin to put Herzog in the pole position to form a new government. They had expected economic issues to trump security issues, which were Netanyahu’s focus. And they expected far stronger Arab turnout (as did Netanyahu).
The real loser is President Barack Obama, who undoubtedly hoped for a poor showing by Netanyahu. And the even bigger loser is the Iranian regime, who will now face an emboldened Israeli leader who made the case for his re-election on the grounds of strong public opposition to the generous terms of the nuclear deal that Obama is negotiating with Iran.
The most important immediate consequence of the election is that Netanyahu’s defense minister, Moshe “Bogey” Ya’alon, is likely to retain his post. A thorn in the side of Secretary of State John Kerry, whom he called “messianic,” Ya’alon is one of the few military planners in the western world with a grasp on the strategic realities of the Middle East. He has been a counsel of patience for Netanyahu, advising him not to waste resources on Hamas while Iran still looms as the enemy.
Yet the importance of his victory cannot be diminished. It is the biggest media surprise since “Dewey Defeats Truman”–a remarkable feat in today’s environment of big data, big media and big money.
Netanyahu's Likud Party also leads in Knesset seats.
The returns on voting from ballot boxes indicate that the Likud has significantly extended its lead over Zionist Union.
According to Israel Radio, officials have counted the votes of 25 percent of booths across the country. The results indicate that the Likud wins 32 Knesset seats while Zionist Union garners 25 seats.
Yesh Atid is the third-largest party with 11 seats, Moshe Kahlon's Kulanu faction wins 10 seats, the Arab List nosedives to nine seats, the Sephardi ultra-Orthodox Shas movement wins eight seats, Naftali Bennett's Bayit Yehudi dips further to seven seats, while Yisrael Beytenu, which has only mustered five seats, climbs to seven.
What a rebuke to Obama, whose State Department is suspected of illegally using US dollars to try and defeat Netanyahu.

#WARONWOMEN - Obama To Honor Memory Of Woman-Killing, Drunk Driving Senator Ted Kennedy (D-Chappaquiddick)

If you've listened to liberal Democrats like Richard Milhous Hussein-Obama and took them seriously, you'd think all conservatives are a bunch of women-hating cavemen.

Well isn't it interesting that the party and Dicktator who accuse conservatives of waging a #waronwomen are honoring the memory of a Senator from Massachussetts who has the only confirmed kill in that war (Boston Herald).
President Barack Obama is planning to attend the dedication of the new Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate in Boston later this month.
Kennedy widow and institute co-founder Victoria Reggie Kennedy announced Monday that the president, first lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Joe Biden all plan to attend the ceremony on March 30.
The institute is being built on the campus of the University of Massachusetts Boston next to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. The centerpiece is a full-scale representation of the U.S. Senate chamber.
Ted Kennedy died in 2009 from brain cancer after serving 47 years in the Senate. Kennedy’s endorsement helped Obama win the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination.
So what kind of activities will go on at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute?

Marathon sessions playing the board game, "Chap Aquitted"?

Various Chivas Regal drinking games?

Historic overview of two big events from July 1969?

Perfection of the Dodd-Kennedy "waitress sandwich"?
"In December 1985, just before he announced he would run for president in 1988, Kennedy allegedly manhandled a pretty young woman employed as a Brasserie waitress. The woman, Carla Gaviglio, declined to be quoted in this article, but says the following account, a similar version of which first appeared in Penthouse last year, is full and accurate: It is after midnight and Kennedy and Dodd are just finishing up a long dinner in a private room on the first floor of the restaurant's annex. They are drunk. Their dates, two very young blondes, leave the table to go to the bathroom. (The dates are drunk, too. 'They'd always get their girls very, very drunk,' says a former Brasserie waitress.) Betty Loh, who served the foursome, also leaves the room. Raymond Campet, the co-owner of La Brasserie, tells Gaviglio the senators want to see her.
"As Gaviglio enters the room, the six-foot-two, 225-plus-pound Kennedy grabs the five-foot-three, 103-pound waitress and throws her on the table. She lands on her back, scattering crystal, plates and cutlery and the lit candles. Several glasses and a crystal candlestick are broken. Kennedy then picks her up from the table and throws her on Dodd, who is sprawled in a chair. With Gaviglio on Dodd's lap, Kennedy jumps on top and begins rubbing his genital area against hers, supporting his weight on the arms of the chair. As he is doing this, Loh enters the room. She and Gaviglio both scream, drawing one or two dishwashers. Startled, Kennedy leaps up. He laughs. Bruised, shaken and angry over what she considered a sexual assault, Gaviglio runs from the room. Kennedy, Dodd and their dates leave shortly thereafter, following a friendly argument between the senators over the check."
How to participate in a real act of treason as a US Senator by corresponding with our enemies (the Soviet Union) in an attempt to undermine then President Ronald Reagan.
KENNEDY ALSO OFFERED TO WORK in close concert with high level Soviet officials to sabotage President Ronald Reagan's re-election efforts and to orchestrate favorable American press coverage for Andropov and Soviet military officials, according to the 1983 KGB document.
Kennedy offered to have "representatives of the largest television companies in the U.S. contact Y.V. Andropov for an invitation to Moscow for the interview," KGB head Viktor Chebrikov explained in a letter to the general secretary dated May 14, 1983, the file shows. The idea here would be for the Soviet leader to make an end run around Reagan and make a direct appeal to the American people.
The KGB letter to Andropov first came to light in a Feb. 2, 1992 report published in the London Times entitled "Teddy, the KGB and the Top Secret File." Paul Kengor, a Grove City College political science professor, included the document in his 2006 book: The Crusader: Ronald Reagan and The Fall of Communism.
Kennedy suggested that Walter Cronkite, Barbara Walters and Elton Raul, the president of the board of directors for ABC, be considered for the interviews with Andropov in Moscow. He also asked the KGB to consider having "lower level Soviet officials, particularly the military" take part in television interviews inside the U.S. where they could convey peaceful intentions.
Tunney, the former senator, once again served as an intermediary traveling to Moscow in 1983 to relay Kennedy's intentions. In the interest of world peace and improved American-Soviet relations, the Massachusetts Democrat offered specific proposals built around a public relations effort designed to "counter the militaristic politics of Reagan and his campaign to psychologically burden the American people," Chebrikov wrote.
If they need music to play in the Institute, they can pick none other than Paul Shanklin's Teddy K soundalike (via the Rush Limbaugh show) singing "The Philanderer" (in the style of Dion's "The Wanderer").

People on Twitter had fun responding to The White House announcement of the Obama participation in the Teddy K institute opening.

I had some fun with Joe Biden's tweet "With Teddy, it was always about serving others."

NY Post: Obama Adviser Valerie Jarrett Behind Hillary E-Mail Leak

A bombshell allegation in the New York Post this morning.
Obama senior adviser Valerie Jarrett leaked to the press details of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private e-mail address during her time as secretary of state, sources tell me.
But she did so through people outside the administration, so the story couldn’t be traced to her or the White House.
In addition, at Jarrett’s behest, the State Department was ordered to launch a series of investigations into Hillary’s conduct at Foggy Bottom, including the use of her expense account, the disbursement of funds, her contact with foreign leaders and her possible collusion with the Clinton Foundation.
Six separate probes into Hillary’s performance have been going on at the State Department. I’m told that the e-mail scandal was timed to come out just as Hillary was on the verge of formally announcing that she was running for president — and that there’s more to come.
Members of Bill Clinton’s camp say the former president suspects the White House is the source of the leak and is furious.
Yeah, and I'm sure Bill has that purple face of anger and ready to wag that finger that he's been famous for, like to this San Francisco TV reporter.

“The Obamas are behind the e-mail story, and they’re spreading rumors that I’ve been with women, that Hillary promoted people at the State Department who’d done favors for our foundation, that John Kerry had to clean up diplomatic messes Hillary left behind.”
...Jarrett was said to be livid that most Democrats running for election refused to be seen campaigning with the president. She blamed the Clintons for marginalizing the president and for trying to wrestle control of the Democratic Party away from Obama.
And she vowed payback.
...After the Democrats took a shellacking in the midterms, the White House scheduled a meeting with Hillary Clinton. When she showed up in the Oval Office, she was greeted by three people — the president, Jarrett and Michelle Obama.
With his wife and Jarrett looking on, Obama made it clear that he intended to stay neutral in the presidential primary process — a clear signal that he wouldn’t mind if someone challenged Hillary for the nomination.
“Obama and Valerie Jarrett will go to any lengths to prevent Hillary from becoming president,” a source close to the White House told me. “They believe that Hillary, like her husband, is left of center, not a true-blue liberal.”
If she gets into the White House, they believe she will compromise with the Republicans in Congress and undo Obama’s legacy.
“With Obama’s approval,” this source continued, “Valerie has been holding secret meetings with Martin O’Malley [the former Democratic governor of Maryland] and [Massachusetts Sen.] Elizabeth Warren. She’s promised O’Malley and Warren the full support of the White House if they will challenge Hillary for the presidential nomination.”
That's pretty telling. O'Malley has a legacy (like Obama) of ruining the place he was entrusted to govern, the state of Maryland, with the most radical anti-gun laws and schemes like a "rain tax," after inheirting a budget surplus from Gov. Bob Erlich, that Republicans were able to defeat O'Malley's handpicked successor this past November.  Like Obama, Elizabeth "Fauxahontas" Warren has risen to the US Senate and is now seen as a Presidential contender, just on star power alone.

Some of Edward Klein's allegations have been sketchy, but this one makes too much sense. It is telling because when the Hillary e-mail story broke, Mark Levin was the first out nationally to say that he suspected this was "an inside job."

The question is, if Hillary is torpedoed and taken out (I've long suspected she won't run in 2016), will she and Bill put party loyalty aside and secretly torpedo whomever Jarrett and Obama anoint as nominee?

Did Obama Regime Lie To A Fed Judge? Texas AG Files Discovery Motion Against Regime Regarding Executive Amnesty

Did the Obama Regime, when it argued in defense of the unconstitutional, executive amnesty to illegal aliens, misrepresent (lie) about the implementation dates to a Federal Judge?
"Out of an abundance of caution," the Obama Justice Department on Tuesday informed a federal court in Texas that it started issuing three-year work permits to thousands of illegal aliens right after President Obama announced his executive amnesty on November 20 -- and before a federal court issued a preliminary injuction blocking the expanded amnesty on Feb. 16.
The injunction barred the Obama administration from implementing "any and all aspects or phases" of Obama's expanded DACA (deferred action for childhood arrivals) program. That program allows certain illegal aliens to live and work in the U.S. for three years instead of two.
But the injunction did not apply to Obama's original 2012 DACA program, so when those people renewed their enrollment, they got the new three-year work permits.
This from Erick Erickson, the Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed a motion for early discovery against the Regime.
A few days before the start of implementation, a federal judge in Texas issued an injunction against the implementation based on the Obama Administration’s claims on when implementation would begin. It is clear now that the Obama Administration misrepresented the start date and had already begun implementing his plans before the court’s injunction.
This morning, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a “Motion for Early Discovery.” The motion requests the court grant Texas permission to start delving into the implementation of Expanded DACA to date.”
From the Attorney General’s motion:
"This newly disclosed conduct is difficult to square with Defendants’ prior representation to the Court that “nothing is going to happen” until weeks after the preliminary- injunction hearing. Likewise, Plaintiffs do not understand why Defendants do not consider their implementation of Expanded DACA to be “granting” or “entertaining requests” for deferred action under the challenged DHS Directive. After all, Original DACA provided only for two year relief; it is only Expanded DACA that provided for the three-year relief that Defendants granted to 100,000 aliens. Moreover, Defendants’ advisory contains no details about how many of the aliens who received Expanded DACA relief applied for some form of DACA during the time period at issue, or the extent to which those applicants formally or informally requested or were told they would receive Expanded DACA relief."
Given the representations made by the Obama Administration to the District Court, they are probably going to be in a world of hurt. In fact, Texas makes sure to quote the exchange between the Obama Administration’s lawyer and the judge:
THE COURT: But as far as you know, nothing is going to happen in the next three weeks?
MS. HARTNETT: No, Your Honor.
THE COURT: Okay. On either.
MS. HARTNETT: In terms of accepting applications or granting any up or down applications.
MS. HARTNETT: For revised DACA, just to be totally clear.
And also:
MS. HARTNETT: In that document [Defendants’ January 14 motion for extension of time] we reiterated that no applications for the revised DACA — this is not even DAPA — revised DACA would be accepted until the 18th of February, and that no action would be taken on any of those applications until March the 4th.
This is going to become a bigger story given the Obama Administration’s representations in court.
Texas Attorney General Paxton also sent out the following press release, which says in part:
“In an apparent attempt to quickly execute President Obama’s unlawful, unconstitutional amnesty plan, the Obama Administration appears to have already been issuing expanded work permits, in direct contradiction to what they told a federal judge previously in this litigation,” said General Paxton. “The circumstances behind this must be investigated, and the motion we seek would help us determine to what extent the Administration might have misrepresented the facts in this case.”

As Snowstorm Pounds East Coast, Obama Sends E-mail Attacking "Climate Change Deniers"

Earlier this afternoon, I received the following e-mail from Richard Milhous Hussein-Obama.

Interesting that Obama should send this e-mail from his community-organizing wing, Astroturfing for Obama, as the DC area is being hit by a snowstorm that has stretched from Texas all the way to the East Coast.

In fact, I just got back in from a walk in snow that was up past my ankles, and this is about 30 miles outside of Washington DC, near Dulles Airport. The DC Metro area is currently under a Winter Storm Warning until about 9 p.m. today with 4 to 8 inches of snow predicted.

So, where is all this gloBULL Warming that Obama and that modern-day equivalent of a 19th century travelling medicine show man Algore keep talking about?

So if this makes me skeptical about gloBULL warming, then yes I'm a proud climate change denier, guilty as charged!  And don't blab onto me about science. Because I will admit this. There are periods that the earth gets colder and warmer, but it has nothing to do with man. It has more to do with something called sunspots and the way the Earth rotates around the sun--sometimes, it is closer to the sun than other times.

And I didn't just make this up. I learned this in an astronomy class I took in college.

But the problem is, science has become the religion of the agnostic and the secular, who see man as the be all and end all of the universe, never once acknowledging there is more to the music of the spheres than man can control...laws and actions that scientists search for the answers for but cannot explain, only offer theories.

Because there is no consensus in science.

If you want to know more about the fraud known as globull warming and how it started, watch this video by longtime meteorologist John Coleman, who was the first weatherman on ABC's Good Morning America and a co-founder of the Weather Channel.

Also, here's an interesting little clip from September 11, 1972 from that pinko Walter Cronkite, reporting how a scientist war warning about about a new ice age.

Yes, gloBULL warming is a fraud. It is a man-made scam that is being used by liberals, socialists and one-worlders in an effort (like Obamacare) to control the population. They want to dictate to us what kind of cars we should drive, how we should heat and cool our homes, and how we should travel, while many of them (like algore) get wealthy peddling this scheme. Like good socialists, they sugarcoat their fascism in the name of an altruistic motive, or the betterment of mankind. "You don't want polar bears to drown, do you?"

So if Obama wants to use this snowy day where schools are out and many of us are off work to engage in his uncivil name-calling game, then I'm willing to play.

Because Obama and many in his Regime, like Hanoi John Kerry and Susan Rice, are Islamofacist Terrorism Deniers.

Three thousand people were killed on 9/11/2001, four Americans were killed in Benghazi on 9/11/2012, as well as the jihads at Ft Hood, Boston, and the beheading last fall in Oklahoma. ISIS is beheading Americans and Coptic Christians and engaging in crucifixions, all done in the name of Islam. More people have died as a result of Islamic terrorism than so-called glo-BULL warming, but Obama and his Regime refuse to acknowledge this fact, while civilization hangs in the balance.

What's the use of having a Congress when you have a party, that is supposedly the majority, that will not stand up for the rule of law, the Constitution, Separation of Powers, nor the will of the people who put them in office?

This is what happens when you have the Senate run by a eunuch like Mitch McConnell.

These treasonous Republicans who violated their oath of office are not only aiding and abetting a treasonous creep in the Oval Office, but are encouraging more lawless behavior (Townhall).
White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest confirmed Monday that President Obama is "very interested" in the idea of raising taxes through unilateral executive action. "The president certainly has not indicated any reticence in using his executive authority to try and advance an agenda that benefits middle class Americans," Earnest said in response to a question about Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) calling on Obama to raise more than $100 billion in taxes through IRS executive action. "Now I don't want to leave you with the impression that there is some imminent announcement, there is not, at least that I know of," Earnest continued. "But the president has asked his team to examine the array of executive authorities that are available to him to try to make progress on his goals..."
Why shouldn't he? These spineless RINOs have proven they won't stand up to him. Their idea of action is having Rinse Preebus send out fundraising e-mails with petitions to "Fight Obama's Amnesty" or "Repeal Obamacare," and they chicken out when it comes time to fight.

We have no opposition party, and unless the conservatives rise up and oust Boehner and McConnell, we live in a dictatorship now, for all practical purposes, because they've abdicated their Constitutional authority.

Boycotting Netanyahu: The World Sees Just Who The "Allies" Of The Obama Regime & 60 Democrats Are

Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu spoke today before Congress, in an appearance that should not have ginned up any controversy had it not been for the cult-like behavior of The Democrat Party, or at least 60 members and the Obama Regime.

I cannot comment on Netanyahu's speech (I intend to watch), but I did want to comment about the way Obama, Kerry, Pelosi and these boycotting Democrats behaved.

Let me take you to the last decade. Remember how George W. Bush, was "alienating" our allies and friends around the world because of his "cowboy" attitude? That was the Democrat talking point.

John Kerry: September 25, 2004 - Chicago Tribune
"Instead of bringing the world together against the terrorists, the president (Bush) alienated the countries whose help we need to defeat them."
Nancy Pelosi: January 21, 2004 CNN
Instead of alienating our allies, let us work with them and international institutions so that together we can prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and keep them out of the hands of terrorists.
Richard Milhous Hussein Obama July 2008, New York Times
Instead, we have lost thousands of American lives, spent nearly a trillion dollars, alienated allies and neglected emerging threats – all in the cause of fighting a war for well over five years in a country that had absolutely nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks. ... For eight years, we have paid the price for a foreign policy that lectures without listening; that divides us from one another – and from the world – instead of calling us to a common purpose; that focuses on our tactics in fighting a war without end in Iraq instead of forging a new strategy to face down the true threats that we face. We cannot afford four more years of a strategy that is out of balance and out of step with this defining moment.
So what happened today when the leader of our biggest ally in the Middle East spoke to a joint session of Congress? Obama, Kerry and Biden refused to meet him and had "other things to do." Pelosi went but claimed she was in tears after. One camera caught the Botoxed (rhymes with witch) turning her back to Netanyahu.

And these liberals wanted to lecture us during the Bush Years about "alienating our allies"?

Yeah, we can see exactly who Obama, Kerry and the Democrats allies are: the Muslim Brotherhood and Iran, as well as Cuba or any other dictatorial regime on planet Earth.

Three Years Gone: Remembering Andrew Breitbart

We conservatives, as well as those of us who are in the new media, were stunned to the core three years ago this morning, when we heard the tragic news that Andrew Breitbart had passed away all too soon.

It had just been two weeks earlier, that those who attended CPAC hear his "unity speech" and saw the promo trailer for documentary "Hating Breitbart," which was in the process of being completed.

We also saw him, in a blogger's briefing put together by Citizens United, to promote the work he, Lee Stranahan, and Brandon Darby did in exposing the Occupy squatters in the documentary "Occupy Unmasked."

A giant of a man who did so much, in the short time he was with us.

I would invite you today to pull out a copy of (or watch on streaming Netflix) "Hating Breitbart" to remember this great man, and continue to be inspired to not quit the fight.
