Amnesty, Debt Ceiling...What Good Is A Republican Party That Surrenders To Obama & Attacks Those Who Fight?

It's nine months away from the 2014 midterm elections and the conventional wisdom is that the Republican Party should be able to regain control of the Senate, after failing in 2010 and 2012.

I predict they'll fail again this year, not because of us "wacko bird" Tea Party conservatives and our "crazy" candidates, but because they're once again showing there's not much difference between then and the radical socialism of Richard Milhous Obama, except maybe they don't want it fast enough.

Tuesday night, we heard how the GOP is ready to surrender on the debt ceiling fight. Never mind that the "boy wonder" Paul Ryan promised us they would fight that, especially after he negotiated the GOP surrender to Obama on the budget deal that killed the sequester and cut benefits for disabled veterans.

Well, how did that big show of "bipartisanship" work out for ya, Paul?  Well, Harry Reid and that pinko Bernie Sanders (not troop supporters) are looking to restore the benefits, according to National Journal (via This Ain't Hell).  Of course, "Dingy Harry" is just using it to get votes by blaming the GOP for cutting vets' benefits.

Just like Lucy did to Charlie Brown with the football, didn't see that one coming, huh Paul?

Now, John Boehner and the absolutely putrid Rinse Preebus of the RNC are pushing the insanity known as "Immigration Reform" which means amnesty of those who broke our immigration laws.  Never mind the fact that the American public does not want it (remember 2007?), especially at a time when more Americans are out of work now than in 2007.

Meanwhile, the idiots in the GOP RINO establishment show how phony their "Hispanic outreach" is by attacking Ted Cruz for having the courage to take on not just Obama, but members of his party (like Peter Wehner) who are intent on the Party committing political suicide by abandoning conservatism and attacking Cruz.

Meanwhile, all the pushing for amnesty by the martini-swilling, oompah loompah John Boehner does is change the subject from the failure of Obamacare and how it hurts real Americans.

Like these workers outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Weekly Standard).

Boehner, Preebus, and the GOP establishment are royal idiots. Here are Americans not just in the Pittsburgh suburbs who are suffering because of this President, and they are aiding and abetting him even more by changing the subject from this disaster, as well as helping their crony-capitalist friends at the Chamber of Commerce to bring in more cheap labor (and new Democrat voters) by legalizing those who broke our immigration laws.

There's a real tone deafness in the GOP when they put their big business cronies over the suffering of those who make America work. That's why the GOP is having problems winning elections,

No wonder Ted Cruz rightly said the GOP country club establishment "should go ahead and put a 'Harry Reid for Majority Leader' bumper sticker on their car, because that will be the likely effect if Republicans refuse to listen to the American people and foolishly change the subject from Obamacare to amnesty."

Obama in 2007: "We've Seen An Unacceptable Abuse of Power" At 2014 SOTU, Obama Vows To Rule By Fiat & Bypass Congress

So, as predicted last night, Obama stood in front on Congress, lied about the State of our Union and vowed to take tyrannical, unconstitutional actions via executive fiat, in violation of the US Constitution, if Congress doesn't give him what he wants.
"I'm eager to work with all of you," Obama told the lawmakers gathered for the annual speech. "But America does not stand still - and neither will I. So wherever and whenever I can take steps without legislation to expand opportunity for more American families, that's what I'm going to do."
Obama's orders included a wage hike for federal contract workers, creation of a "starter savings account" to help millions of people save for retirement, and plans to establish new fuel efficiency standards for trucks.

Never mind that Obama, in a 2007 speech to the Council on Foreign Relations, said of George W. Bush
"These last few years we've seen an unacceptable abuse of power at home. We've paid a heavy price for having a president whose priority is expanding his own power."
Abuse of Executive Power? Maybe you should look in the mirror.

Not only that, Obama vowed in a 2007 radio interview to investigate all of Bush's executive orders.
"...one of my first acts as president is going to be call in my new attorney general to review every single executive order that’s been issued... to overturn those that are undermining the Constitution, undermining our civil liberties, that are promoting this cockamamie theory of Unitary government, that says that somehow the executive branch does not need to obey the Constitution…uhh…and during that process of review, if it’s determined that laws have been broken, then obviously accountability would be part of my Attorney General’s job.
Well, if we had a Congress and a Republican Party worth it's salt, they'd start investigations of Obama's abuses of power and file impeachment charges instead of threatening lawsuits.  There's a Constitution to uphold, boys!

Tell Me Again About GloBULL Warming When Deep South Texas Is Freezing

Based on many Facebook friends postings, it appears my old stomping grounds in the Rio Grande Valley is under a winter weather warning (ValleyCentral.com).

The Rio Grande Valley is bracing for a big overnight freeze with the possibility of sleet and snow in the forecast.
A cold front is making rolled into the Valley yesterday but is now making itself comfortable over the region.
Overnight temperatures are expected to be at or below freezing for at least four to eight hours overnight.
The lowest temperatures are expected to be recorded between midnight and 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Precipitation and moisture could leave a half inch to one inch of snow or sleet on bridges and overpasses across the Valley.
The ground temperature is too warm for snow or sleet to accumulate at other locations.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is preparing crews to sand roadways.
The last time it snowed in the Valley was back in 2004. It was called the "100 Year Snow" based on how rare snowfall is in the near-tropical Valley, where 60 degree weather is considered cold.

Schools my be delayed or closed. The only time I ever went through a weather-related school closing was when Hurricane Anita threated us back in 1977.  Got out of third grade right as lunch recess ended.

Want to tell me again about "GloBULL Warming," Algore? Barbara "the Check Bouncer" Boxer?

SOTU 2014: Why Even Listen When All Americans Are Not Obama's Constituents?

So, tonight is the State of the Union address and, as has been customary the last few years, I'm not turning in.

In fact, I can't even listen to the lying Campaigner-in-Chief because I cannot believe a single word he says.

We all know the state of our union. There are fewer people working today than in the past 35 years. More people are uninsured. Taxes are higher, as are prices for food, gas, etc.  Take home pay has gone down.  All because of the policies of this President. And, like a typical Marxist, he's going to use all this to campaign on to a joint session of Congress in what Neil Munro of the Daily Caller says will be the most partisan State of the Union address.
President Barack Obama's State of the Union address will be all about helping Democrats win in the November elections, says Neil Munro, White House correspondent for The Daily Caller.
"Obama's State of the Union speech is going to kick off for the 2014 election campaign, and they're trying to mostly keep the Senate from flipping Republican," Munro told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.
"They've appeared to have given up on winning the House, [but] to win the Senate they're going to talk about supposedly Republican malevolence toward women, about . . . poverty and inequality — income caused by Obama's own policies — and they're going to blame Republicans for not stopping his policies."
In other words, it's the usual "us vs. them" argument from Obama. Unlike Harry Truman, Obama needs a plaque on his desk that reads "The Buck Gets Passed Here," because not only is nothing is ever his fault, someone else is always to blame for times being tough, and he has a long list of scapegoats: Rush Limbaugh, Fox News, the "teabaggers," Republicans, big business, ad nauseum.

Yet this was the guy who not too long ago claimed he learned a President was supposed to represent the entire country.

But that was another convenient lie spewed during a campaign. Because when you look at the record and separate his actions from his words, Obama does not represent the entire nation, nor does he speak to the greatness of America.

Instead, Obama has spent his entire political career as a divider. He speaks only to his constituency...the grievance mongers. Those with a chip on their shoulder.  Those who choose to go through life as victims. Those who don't believe in the greatness of America as it was founded (which include the media, academic and wealthy Hollywood elites).  Democrats (ie Liberals/Marxists/Communists) like victims because they use that victimhood to scapegoat and tell the victims they'll take care of them. They can also scare the victims into voting for them the next time around, by threats that the "goodies" will be taken away if they're not around.

Which is why I cannot listen to this demagogue, and why this nation desperately needs leadership with a backbone that will stand up to him, instead of weep in their martini glass, surrendering every time there's a fight.

Draft Resolution For Impeachment Of Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring

Bearing Drift blog has received a leaked draft resolution of impeachment against the fraudulently "elected" Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring.

The resolution comes days after Herring stated he would not defend Virginia's "one man-one woman" marriage amendment to the Commonwealth's constitution, which was approved by the voters.
WHEREAS, Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring has refused to preserve, protect and defend a provision of the Bill of Rights of the Virginia Constitution;
WHEREAS, the Virginia Constitution is paramount law that establishes, constitutes and governs the government of the Commonwealth of Virginia, including creating the elected, constitutional office of Attorney General;
WHEREAS, General Herring has chosen to disregard that paramount law that governs his office, and is violating his oath of office to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, which constitute a neglect of duty;
WHEREAS, the Bill of Rights in Article I of the Virginia Constitution is “a DECLARATION OF RIGHTS made by the good people of Virginia in the exercise of their sovereign powers, which rights do pertain to them and their posterity, as the basis and foundation of government;”
WHEREAS, Section 2 of Article I, “People the source of power,” states “That all power is vested in, and consequently derived from, the people, that magistrates are their trustees and servants, and at all times amenable to them;”
WHEREAS, by refusing to enforce one of the rights in the Virginia Bill of Rights, General Herring has renounced his oath of office, which will set dangerous precedent that he may refuse to enforce the Constitution, including the rights articulated in the Bill of Rights such as: Section 6 Free elections, consent of governed; Section 7 Laws should not be suspended; Section 8 Criminal prosecutions (“a right to demand the cause and nature of his accusation, to be confronted with the accusers and witnesses, and to call for evidence in his favor, and he shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of his vicinage, without whose unanimous consent he cannot be found guilty. He shall not be deprived of life or liberty, except by the law of the land or the judgment of his peers, nor be compelled in any criminal proceeding to give evidence against himself, nor be put twice in jeopardy for the same offense”); Section 8-A Rights of victims of crime; Section 9 Prohibition of excessive bail and fines, cruel and unusual punishment, suspension of habeas corpus, bills of attainder, and ex post facto laws; Section 10 General warrants of search or seizure prohibited; Section 11 Due process of law; obligation of contracts; taking or damaging of private property; prohibited discrimination; jury trial in civil cases; and Section 12 Freedom of speech and of the press; right peaceably to assemble, and to petition;
WHEREAS, the nature of General Herring’s neglect of duty is not only unprecedented, but is a danger to all Virginians because without adherence to the paramount law that governs the government of Virginia, all rights of Virginians are at the mercy of government unconstrained by the rule of law;
WHEREAS, Article IV, Section 17 of the Constitution states that the Attorney General “offending against the Commonwealth by malfeasance in office, corruption, neglect of duty, or other high crime or misdemeanor may be impeached by the House of Delegates and prosecuted before the Senate, which shall have the sole power to try impeachments;”
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED that the House of Delegates should fulfill its constitutional duty by commencing the impeachment of Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring.
There's also a petition calling for the recall of Herring, but it's a Change.org, and I wouldn't put my name to one of Obama's websites.  Someone told me on Twitter that there was going to be a Facebook page for Herring's recall, but I haven't see it yet.

Now, for the idiot liberals who want to throw the "bigot" or "homophobe" card against those of us who are calling for impeachment/recall, let's get this straight. No one is calling for Herring's recall because he supports the redefinition of marriage. Herring deserves to be removed from office because he has let his political leanings and the dictates of his liberal Democrat Party overrule his oath of office as Attorney General.

Herring took an oath to defend the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, whether he agreed with them or not.  His refusal to defend the state's marriage law is akin to an attorney walking out on a client whom he agreed to represent.

He deserves to be removed from office, and the circumstances behind his "election" need to be investigated to ascertain if there was any vote fraud.

CREEPING FASCISM IN AMERICA: Dinesh D'Souza Indicted, Hollywood Conservatives Targeted By IRS

Yesterday, former Republican Governor of Virginia Bob McDonnell & his wife are indicted on Federal (not Virginia) charges of illegally accepting gifts

The campaign of New Jersey Governor Krispy Kreme Christie is subpoenaed by Federal prosecutors.

Earlier today, I read that the Friends of Abe group of conservatives in Hollywood has been under investigation by the IRS(s).

Filmmaker James O'Keefe of Project Vertias says the fascist Governor of New Deutschland (New York) Andrew Cuomo is targeting his group.

Tonight, Mark Levin broke news on his radio show that filmmaker/author Dinesh D'Souza has been indicted by the Feds for alleged violations of election law.

Look, I'm not a fan of Gov. Krispy Kreme, who I think is a political bully (like Obama). Gov McDonnell did some great things for Virginia and he made some bad decisions. What did all that "reaching across the aisle" get you, gentlemen?

Does anyone else see what this is?

This isn't necessarily about Krispy Kreme's 2016 chances.

This is about 2014 my friends.  It's a classic game of "SQUIRREL!" by the Obama Regime, using the most politicized InJustice Department (under Eric "My People" Holder) in collusion with the lapdog media, to distract from the failure of Obamacare, Benghazi, and the bullying/targeting of the Regime's political enemies by going after all Republicans. Why?  To head off an electoral disaster in this years mid-terms by painting the GOP as corrupt, wealthy, greedy sleezballs who don't deserve to be trusted. You know, the old "Culture of Corruption" card, kinda like the "War on Women" game of SQUIRREL used in 2012 and in Virginia's recent state elections.

It's intimidation also, an attempt to intimidate conservatives/Tea Party groups from being able to collect contributions (people being afraid of being exposed) and engage in political activism. It's the criminalization of political beliefs, done in violation of the First Amendment of the US Constitution by a power mad, narcissistic, Jim Jones-esque cult of personality type in Obama, who, because he was abandoned by his father as well as his mother, he is thin-skinned, sensitive and cannot stand any criticism to the point his Regime will also threaten reporters for looking into items like the BenghaziGate scandal.

Are you frightened yet?  Are you angry? You should be. Is what Obama, Holder and the Democrats doing to this nation what you want to leave your children?  These creeps will negotiate with the Islamofascist  Iranian Regime and the Taliban, but will go after patriotic Americans for the crime of believing in our nation's founding principles.

And where are you Republicans at?  Do you think, like Krispy Kreme and McDonnell, that more of this "deal making" for the sake of "bipartisanship" is going to keep them from coming after you next?  Like Winston Churchill said, the only thing your appeasement of the dicktatorial Obama Regime will do is delay the time the alligator feasts on you.  Why don't you get a pair and a backbone, and stand up for our founding principles, instead of trying to sell them out at a slower pace than Obama?  Why don't you stand up for those being targeted by the government for political activism?

This isn't a game anymore. This isn't about "fundamental disagreements." It is about the preservation of our nation as we once knew it.

And I'm beginning to think America we once knew it is in it's last days.

Unless we have leaders who are willing to get backbone and stand up to it.

God Help and save America.

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)

MORE: The Right Scoop "UPDATE: CO-PRODUCER CLAIMS POLITICALLY MOTIVATED – Dinesh D’Souza indicted by federal court…
"...But Gerald Molen, a co-producer of 2016, says the charge is politically motivated.
“In America, we have a long tradition of not doing what is commonly done in too many other countries — criminalizing dissent through the selective enforcement of the law,” Molen tells THR.
D’Souza first learned he was being investigated in the middle of 2013, several months after 2016 had earned $33 million at the box office and become the second most popular political documentary in U.S. history. The film included an interview with Obama’s half brother, George Obama, who was mildly critical of the president.
Molen says D’Souza is being singled out for “an alleged minor violation” in the same way the IRS reportedly targeted conservative Tea Party groups for retribution. “In light of the recent events and the way the IRS has been used to stifle dissent, this arrest should send shivers down the spines of all freedom-loving Americans,” Molen says.

SICK! Lib Group Affiliated With Obama Astroturfers & Wendy Davis Mock Greg Abbott Being Handicapped

I'd referenced an article written by Erick Erickson the other day that Battleground Texas, a liberal group trying to turn Texas blue and affiliated with the gubernatorial campaign of the golddigging Abortion Barbie, Wendy Davis, had mocked current Texas Attorney General (and GOP gubernatorial candidate) Greg Abbott being handicapped.

Well, James O'Keefe of Project Veritas released video of Battleground Texas opening mocking Abbott's handicap.
While investigating Obamacare Navigators, Battleground Texas, and their connection to Obama's Organizing for America, we caught some deeply offensive comments on tape.
Wendy Davis and Battleground Texas supporters are seen on camera making statements such as "Since he's in a wheelchair and most the slogans are "Stand with Wendy" and "Stand with Texas Women", isn't that amazing to think of? He's in a wheelchair and we want to stand with Wendy?"
In another instance they say, "Greg Abbott (The Attorney General of Texas) is not, he's really not a sure thing, and he's really not real electable. First of all he's not good looking, he doesn't speak very well, he doesn't have a good personality, and he's in a wheelchair."
But that's not it. When asked about forging signatures on absentee ballots, Deputy Voter Registrar and attorney Lisa Wortham covered her ears and then went on to admit, "I've seen people do that all the time." Battleground Texas volunteer Celeste Grahm then added, "I don't think it's legal but I didn't hear you say that."
Davis, the other day, even slammed Abbott the other day, claiming he has "never walked in my shoes."

According to LifeNews, Davis has called the video "abhorrent." If that's the case, then she needs to return any donations and distance herself from this group.

Since Obama's Astroturf organization, OFA, is apparently connected to the group, according to O'Keefe, someone needs to hold them and the Democrat Party responsible.  The liberals always claim to speak for the disadvantaged, apparently, that's not always true.

Fraudulently-"Elected" Virginia Attorney General Won't Defend Ban On Gay Marriage

Never mind that the Democrat, Mark Herring, who stole the election for Virginia's attorney general, is breaking his oath of office by not defending state law, as decided by the will of Virginia voters (Roanoke Times).

Attorney General Mark Herring will announce today that after a legal review, he has concluded that Virginia’s ban on same-sex marriage is unconstitutional, his spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday.

Herring will not defend the constitutionality of the ban in federal court in Norfolk, where two same-sex couples are suing to overturn it, said the spokeswoman, Ellen Qualls.

“The attorney general has concluded that the ban violates the 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution on two grounds — one, marriage is a fundamental right being denied to some Virginians, and two, the ban unlawfully discriminates on a basis of sexual orientation and gender,” Qualls said.
...Herring’s decision does not change the 2006 amendment to the state constitution, which defines marriage as between a man and a woman. Under a directive from Herring’s office, court clerks around Virginia are still prohibited from handing out marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
“The attorney general has a strong interest in the courts adjudicating this matter, which will ultimately be decided by the United States Supreme Court,” Qualls said.
Herring, who took office Jan. 11, succeeded Ken Cuccinelli, a Republican who believes marriage is between a man and a woman.
Herring’s move marks a dramatic shift from his previous position on marriage equality. In 2006, as a state senator from Loudoun County, he voted for the ban on same-sex marriage. He says that in recent years, he changed his views.
“I talked to a lot of people, I thought a lot about it, talked to my family, and I have seen how I would not want the state to tell my son or my daughter who they can and cannot marry,” Herring said last August.
After the landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling in June that struck down parts of the Defense of Marriage Act, some Republicans charged that Herring, as attorney general, would not defend Virginia’s ban on same-sex marriage if it were challenged in federal court. Herring eventually said that when a state law’s constitutionality is questioned, he would have his team of attorneys review the issue and make a recommendation.
In other words, he was dishonest to voters and narrowly squeaked out a victory, thanks to votes that suddenly turned up out of thin air when his opponent, Mark Obenshain, had a narrow lead after this past November's election.  Herring eventually was able to find enough votes and Obernshain had to abandon a recount, after getting no support from the national GOP, since Virginia's three candidates were not Karl Rove-approved candidates.

So much for the "common ground" that Terry McAwful promised. Then again, when a liberal Democrat promises you something, bank on the fact it will be a lie.

But there's also the hypocrisy. Liberals always lecture conservatives not to let their "personal beliefs" (ie Christianity) influence how they interpret the law. Liberals always let the beliefs of their Religion of Liberalism dictate whether or not they uphold the oaths they took.

Obviously, Herring the liberal election thief refuses to acknowledge either that the issue of marriage was already determined by a Higher Authority.

Robert Gates Speaks At Texas A&M University For Bush 41 Distinguished Author Series Address

Former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates returned to Texas AandM University (where he was the former University President) to participate in the George Bush Distinguished Author Series and promote his recent book.

My brother-in-law (MIMs BIL) was part of the sold out crowd at the Rudder Auditorium. According to the Bryan/College Station newspaper, all 1,200 copies of the book sold out, which weren't even enough for everyone (2,500) in attendance. Former President  George HW Bush and his wife Barbara were in attendance. The Bush Presidential Library is on the AandM camppus (and is a must visit, if you're in the College Station area).

The event was livestreamed also across the Internet and available on YouTube (you have to go to about 1 hr and 5 mins into the video).

The following photo was tweeted by an unknown photographer showing Gates getting a standing ovation when he came to the stage

He also reported that Gates took to the stage and said "Howdy" with the crowd giving him back the same greeting. Gates then said, "I wish I could have started every congressional meeting that way!!"

Nothing was a shock that Gates said, according to MIM-BIL. Gates was asked during the QandA afterwards what could change the atmosphere in DC, with Gates replying that all the backstabbing and name calling etc needs to stop.  That when  "the cameras come on and its like a full moon to a werewolf."

Which yes, from my perspective, I'd have to agree. Congressional hearings I've always thought end up like a bunch of blowhards playing to the cameras, in the hopes of getting the hot quote that makes the nightly news.  Few people really do the job of public service.

That includes Robert Gates in my opinion.

If I'd been there, I'd like to have asked Gates why he didn't feel a responsibility to the troops he led as SecDef, resigned, and made his complaints public about the way Obama and Bite Me have mismanaged the wars.  Sure, those of us who care about the future of our nation aren't surpised by what he revealed. He had a reponsibility to this country and the troops to make that known, and especially when we had the opportunity to make a change in 2012.

Barack Obama = Whining Racist Jerk On MLK Day

Martin Luther King Jr., who is being honored today with a holiday in his name, said he dreamed of the day that "my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."

Richard Milhous Obama used the weekend before Martin Luther King Jr. Day to make the claim that his falling poll numbers are due to RAAAAACISM (Bloomberg News).
President Barack Obama said that racial tensions may have softened his popularity among white voters within the last two years, according to a story posted on the New Yorker magazine’s website today.

“There’s no doubt that there’s some folks who just really dislike me because they don’t like the idea of a black president,” Obama said in the article by David Remnick, appearing in the magazine’s Jan. 27 edition.

“Now, the flip side of it is there are some black folks and maybe some white folks who really like me and give me the benefit of the doubt precisely because I’m a black president,” Obama said in his most direct comments on how race has affected his political standing since he’s been in office.

Obama’s second term has been marked by controversies including a partial government shutdown in October, revelations that the National Security Agency has gathered personal mobile phone data and the troubled rollout of health-insurance expansion.
So, in other words, never mind that more people are in the work force since 1978. Never mind Obama didn't keep the promise he made about people keeping their health insurance and it would be cheaper. Never mind take home pay has fallen, and it has become more expensive in years to buy things. We as Americans just don't like that black guy in the White House.

This is in a nation where only 13 percent of the population is black. Mathematically, Obama could not get elected without the help of those racist crackers he wants to play the race card on. Which shows how unbelievably ignorant he is, and how he's willing to play this kind of racist bigotry because it's the last act of a desperate, failed President.  One who lies on TV about how he's learned his job is to represent the entire nation, but acts like a bully against political opponents and adversaries, with the protection of his media lapdogs.

Did I say it? Yes I did.  If there is a racist in the room, it is Obama.

Because who is the one always focused on his skin color? Obama is.  Remember "the police acted stupidly?"
"If I had a son...?"  "Thirty-five years ago...?"  His attorney general Eric Holder is a fellow racist who always looks at law enforcement not with color blind glasses, but through the prism of race.  How he tried to fan the flame of racist agitation after Hurricane Katrina (D-LA).

Who goes to a "church" where racism against white people and anti-Americanism is preached and subscribes to "The Black Value System"? Obama did. He even was inspired to join this "church" after hearing a sermon that mentioned "white-folks greed runs a world in need."  Can you imagine a white President of the United States attending a "church" where racism against blacks was preached and had a "White Value System"? Never would happen today. Yet a liberal like Obama gets away with such reverse racism.

Who called his white grandmother "a typical white person?" Obama did.

Here's more from the mouth of Obama:

Only a racist speaks like that.

Only a racist uses the worn out "race card" as a lame excuse for why people aren't satisfied with his job performance.

Yep, Barack Obama, you're the racist...not the American people who are opposed to how you're destroying this nation.

Couple Allegedly Tied to Target Credit Card Scam Arrested At Texas/Mexico Border

From the Valley Morning Star:
Police have arrested a man and a woman on fraud charges tied to the December Target credit card breach.

On Sunday, Police arrested 27-year-old Mary Carmen Garcia and 28-year-old Daniel Guardiola Dominguez, both from Monterrey, as they tried to cross into the U.S. from Reynosa, said McAllen Police Chief Victor Rodriguez.

“We received information about their activities and obtained arrest warrants for them,” Rodriguez said. “We were able to serve those warrants when they tried coming back from Mexico. During the arrest we found out that they had another stash of fraudulent credit cards on them.”
Investigators believe that the credit cards that the couple was using came from the December breach at Target where hackers got into the company’s computer system and took the names, credit card information and phone numbers of close to 100 million customers.
“We believe the credit card information came from that security breach,” Rodriguez said.

Terry McAwful Not In Office As VA Governor One Week & Now Faces Ethics Challenge

Because when you've skimmed those who invested in Global Crossings and linked to the Clinton's you don't really care much about ethics (Daily Caller via Weasel Zippers).
Less than a week after taking office, Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe is already facing criticism for using his appointment powers as a political tool.

On Wednesday, McAuliffe appointed consultant Boyd Marcus to one of the most lucrative patronage positions in the state government, the Alcoholic Beverages Control (ABC) board. The position is expected to pay at least $124,000 a year, according to local media sources.
Marcus had been a campaign consultant for Republicans for decades, but unexpectedly switched sides last election. He was allegedly offered more money by the McAuliffe campaign. According to former Cuccinelli adviser Chris LaCivita, Boyd also knew the forthcoming ABC appointment was compensation for working on McAuliffe’s campaign.
“Boyd let several people know that part of his arrangement would also get him an appointment to the ABC Board, should McAuliffe win,” LaCivita told Politico.
Ironically, just two days before the appointment was announced, McAuliffe gave a speech to Virginia’s Joint Assembly that included a caution against ethically questionable practices, The Washington Post reports.
“Public confidence in Virginia’s political system, and in the integrity of our leaders, must never be in doubt,” he said. “When ethical questions about government arise, they place a cloud over all of the Commonwealth’s public servants, the overwhelming majority of whom are honest, hardworking and dedicated to the common good.”
But when McAuliffe was questioned about this controversial appointment in a recent AP interview, his response was, “This is little petty political whatever.
But we warned you, Virginia, that this is who Terry McAwful was. But nooooooooo! Too many fell victim to the fearmongering, "war on women" smear campaign McAwful ran against Ken Cuccinelli and how the GOP establishment let Cuccinelli twist in the wind by not backing him. The RINOs also didn't help Mark Obenshain in his recount effort for Attorney General after the Democrat candidate clearly stole the race.  All because the GOP candidates this past November didn't have the Karl Rove Seal of Approval.

Thanks alot Bill Bolling, Rinse Preebus, Boyd Marcus and the GOP establishment, for sticking the Commonwealth with this scumbag as Governor because you hate conservatives and the Tea Party so much.

Not Only Did Wendy Davis' Campaign Attack GOP Opponent For Being Handicapped, She Lied About Her Background

Wendy Davis (aka - the Abortion Barbie) is a mean-spirited liberal liar.

First of all, it was revealed last week how her campaign attacked her GOP opponent for Texas Governor, Greg Abbott (the current Texas Attorney General) for behind handicapped (Erick Erickson at RedState).
Davis can only claim she raised $12 million by including the fundraising totals of “her Senate account, gubernatorial account and a political action committee formed with Battleground Texas that’s dedicated to her election. Battleground Texas was formed to help Texas Democrats, who have not won a statewide election in 20 years.”
It is very important for the media to note that Davis is including Battleground Texas as her money. Back in October, Battleground Texas mocked Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott for being paralyzed and in a wheelchair.
At the time, Wendy Davis’s campaign said that they could not be held responsible for Battleground Texas, because they were separate entities. Today, Wendy Davis wants to claim Battleground Texas’s campaign cash as her own to hype herself. She can’t have it both ways. If Wendy Davis is going to join herself at the hip with Battleground Texas, she’s going to have to own Battleground Texas’s foot in mouth disease too.
Then, yesterday's Dallas Morning News (not known as a liberal bastion), ran a story about how Davis has lied about her background in the race for governor.
Wendy Davis has made her personal story of struggle and success a centerpiece of her campaign to become the first Democrat elected governor of Texas in almost a quarter-century.
While her state Senate filibuster last year captured national attention, it is her biography — a divorced teenage mother living in a trailer who earned her way to Harvard and political achievement — that her team is using to attract voters and boost fundraising.
The basic elements of the narrative are true, but the full story of Davis’ life is more complicated, as often happens when public figures aim to define themselves. In the shorthand version that has developed, some facts have been blurred.
Davis was 21, not 19, when she was divorced. She lived only a few months in the family mobile home while separated from her husband before moving into an apartment with her daughter.
A single mother working two jobs, she met Jeff Davis, a lawyer 13 years older than her, married him and had a second daughter. He paid for her last two years at Texas Christian University and her time at Harvard Law School, and kept their two daughters while she was in Boston. When they divorced in 2005, he was granted parental custody, and the girls stayed with him. Wendy Davis was directed to pay child support.
 Hey Wendy, your feet stink!

Another liberal who lies.  Why am I not surprised?

Why Compromise With Liberals Who Think We're "Rapists" Or Don't Belong In Their State?

If you're a conservative/Tea Party American, you're probably asking yourself this weekend where the leadership is in our government who is willing to keep the promises they made to us, as well as stand up to the lawlessness of the Obama Regime.

A $1 trillion spending bill that erases whatever small gains made in cutting spending, cuts retirements to those who sacrificed life and limb to defend our nation, plus a surrender by the GOP on IRS rules protecting Tea Party groups from the unconstitutional harassment for the "crime" of being conservative activists. An unwillingness to hold a select committee or special prosecutor to investigate real scandals like IRS-Gate, Benghazi, Fast and Furious.  An unwillingness to fight, defund and uproot Obamacare.  But the GOP establishment will use all those points as good fundraising tools or petitions to pass around.

Meanwhile, who are these liberals that the GOP elite keep making deals with, in the vain attempt to appease?

Virginia's new Governor, Terry McAwful, the former leader of the DNC and Bill Clinton's Hillbilly Mafia, talks a good talk about finding "common ground." His words don't match his actions.  He wants to implement Obamacare in Virginia, and strict gun control legislation, after he was bought and paid for like a cheap trick by Michael "Nanny" Bloomberg.

Democrat State Senate Candidate Jennifer Wexton refuses to apologize for a slanderous ad comparing the Tea Party to sexual predators she allegedly put away as a prosecutor. Her disgusting ad is a great example pure liberalism and the reverse sexism of the modern feminist movement--the bigoted liberal fallacy that the Tea Party is nothing but a bunch of white, racist, redneck men who want to take away women's "rights" (read: abortion on demand) and keep them barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen. Not withstanding the fact that women are seen prominently as Tea Party leaders.

Then, there's New York Governor Andrew Cuomo who said yesterday that "extreme conservatives" have no place in the state a New York. But he's just fine with having a communist supporter (isn't that extreme? ) as mayor of New York City.

All that goes along with Richard Milhous Obama calling political opponents "enemies" and getting away in the media with things Richard Nixon never got away with, like using the IRS against political enemies.

Pardon me if I'm wrong, but aren't opposing political views something that was one of the reasons our forefathers decided they didn't want to be under the oppressive thumb of an imperial monarch?  Isn't that one of our values that many Americans spilled their blood around the world fighting to preserve?  And wasn't it not too long ago these same liberals were complaining they were having their political speech oppressed, and how "dissent was the highest form of patriotism"?  Yeah, I still have a long memory, libs!

But what do extreme liberals like McAuliffe, Wexton, Cuomo or Obama do when they are in power?  Political strawmen arguments that pit people against each other by class, gender, race, etc (us vs. them). Bulling opponents in an Alinskyite-manner in the media with epithets like "terrorist," "hostage taker," "suicide bomber," "extremist," "racist," "homophobe," "Islamophobe," et al, ad nauseum. These liberals always claim to stand for tolerance and open-mindedness, then, forgetting the idea of freedom of thought and opinion, they want to tell you that you're not welcome in their presence. It is a war on free thinkers who liberals claim don't care about women or minorities. And if you're a woman or a minority who dares to think for yourself, you get even worse harassment and hate-invective from the so-called tolerant Left.  Just ask Sarah Palin and Michelle Malkin.

These liberals type of thinking isn't new.  It's the same kind of utopian worldview that thought the perfect society would be created by getting rid of the undesirables, the individuals and "non-conformists" who would not submit to the collective. These liberals thinking is similar to the ideas that gave birth to institutions like the gulags, to place those who didn't have a place in their utopian society.

Yet too many in the GOP elite and fair-weathered conservatives think these extremist liberals can be reasoned with.  Chris Christie, John McCain, Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Paul Ryan. Like Charlie Brown, they think Lucy the liberal will let them kick the football this time, and not pull it away. Every single time, they're fooled into thinking their goodwill and compromise of principle wins them friends on the other side.

It doesn't. All their appeasement of liberals does is put off when the alligator eventually eats them. It also eats away more of our liberty.

Levin On Obama's Rule Via Executive Order: "We Are Witnessing A Gradual, Quiet Coup"

Richard Milhous Obama announced yesterday that he plans to rule by executive fiat, ignoring the will of Congress.  Mark Levin talked about this last night, telling his audience "we are witnessing a gradual, quiet coup." (The Right Scoop)
He’s just announced that he is going to assume lawmaking powers. He does not recognize the majority in the House of Representatives. I don’t know how much more clearly he can say it. You know what this is folks? This is a gradual, quiet coup. That’s what is taking place. It’s gradual. It’s quiet, in the sense that it’s non-violent. But it’s a coup!

What is worse, as Levin notes, is how the GOP leadership in Congress won't stand up to Obama, raising the white flag when they said they wouldn't shut down the government.

Sarah Palin's Father Targeted By The Same IRS That FBI Won't File Charges Against

Chuck Heath Jr., the brother of former Alaska Governor ( & 2008 VP nominee) Sarah Palin, wrote recently on Facebook.

Yet the FBI says it won't file charges against the IRS or any higher-ups for their part in targeting Tea Party groups and conservatives for harassment.  Not only that, the FBI appeared uninterested in investigating, as they never interviewed a single Tea Party group about the harassment.

So who will stand up to this lawlessness?

FBI Doesn't Plan To File Criminal Chrages Against IRS For Tea Party Targeting

From the New York Post.
Only days after we learned the Obama administration had appointed an Obama donor to head investigations into the IRS targeting of conservative organizations, we now have a leak from law enforcement saying the FBI doesn’t expect to file criminal charges.

That’s the gist of a late-breaking story Monday evening in The Wall Street Journal. The story notes that though the investigation may go on another few months, unless other evidence is unearthed, the FBI conclusion will be that the IRS was a “mismanaged bureaucracy” enforcing rules “ it didn’t understand.”

Without the evidence, we’re not in a position to say. But criminal liability never been our priority. All along our position has been that federal agencies such as the IRS should be held accountable the way the Founders intended: through our democratic system.

For the IRS outrages extend well beyond the targeting of individuals and groups opposed to President Obama’s agenda. High on that list is the way the woman at the center of this storm, Lois Lerner, basically took her own version of the Fifth at hearings, telling Congress she’d done nothing wrong but wasn’t planning on saying anything else.
And why not?  Especially when merely the suggestion of using the IRS against political enemies was listed as an article of impeachment against Richard Nixon.  Now there are reports suggesting the IRS will bully people into signing up for the UnAffordable Obamacare scheme

This idea of having an Obama donor investigate the IRS scandal shows even more how this is being covered up by the "most transparent Administration, Evah." It is reminiscent of how another liberal Democrat abused power back in the mid-1970s. After allegations of electoral fraud influenced by the "Rev." Jim Jones and the People's Temple cult helped the late George Moscone win the race for mayor of San Francisco, District Attorney Joseph Freitas Jr. appointed an attorney named Tim Stoen to look into the charges of vote fraud.  The problem? Stoen (at the time) was a member of the cult and a confidant of Jones, before later defecting.

More importantly, why has Darrell Issa not followed up on charging Lois Lerner for violating the Fifth Amendment?  Why have there been no aggressive attempts to investigate this? And, just like with Benghazi, why has Speaker John Boehner not called for an independent investigator to look into this harassment of private citizens?

This is a crime, and the criminal in the White House is being allowed to get away with it.

Top Secret Docs: Top Generals Knew Benghazi Assault Was Terrorist Attack

Mark Levin just spoke about this story, from James Rosen at Fox, via Bryan Preston at PJ Media.
Minutes after the American consulate in Benghazi came under assault on Sept. 11, 2012, the nation’s top civilian and uniformed defense officials — headed for a previously scheduled Oval Office session with President Obama — were informed that the event was a “terrorist attack,” declassified documents show. The new evidence raises the question of why the top military men, one of whom was a member of the president’s Cabinet, allowed him and other senior Obama administration officials to press a false narrative of the Benghazi attacks for two weeks afterward.
Gen. Carter Ham, who at the time was head of AFRICOM, the Defense Department combatant command with jurisdiction over Libya, told the House in classified testimony last year that it was him who broke the news about the unfolding situation in Benghazi to then-Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The tense briefing — in which it was already known that U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens had been targeted and had gone missing — occurred just before the two senior officials departed the Pentagon for their session with the commander in chief.
According to declassified testimony obtained by Fox News, Ham — who was working out of his Pentagon office on the afternoon of Sept. 11 — said he learned about the assault on the consulate compound within 15 minutes of its commencement, at 9:42 p.m. Libya time, through a call he received from the AFRICOM Command Center.
Preston notes:
Ham testified in the classified session that there was some peripheral chat about a demonstration, but that he and other commanders were always clear, from the beginning, that Benghazi was a terrorist attack. That’s the word they delivered to President Obama and his top advisers including then Defense Secretary Leon Panetta. Ham has been consistent both in sworn testimony and in his public comments.
Which begs the question that no one has answered yet. Why did Obama, Hillary Rotten, Susan Rice, parade the story that the attack on the Benghazi compound was only because of a YouTube video?

And yes, Hillary Rotten, it DOES make a difference!

25 Years Ago Today: Ronald Reagan's Farewell Address From Oval Office

An incredible speech, and one where he warns about preventing the erosion of Americanism, and the importance of American history.

We've never had another President like him since, and God how America needs another Ronald Reagan today.

Meet Ed Gillespie, The Karl Rove-Approved Establishment GOP Candidate For Virginia's US Senate Seat

He hasn't officially announced yet, but former George W. Bush handpicked RNC Chair and advisor to the failed Mitt Romney Presidential campaign, Ed Gillespie, is planning to run against incumbent liberal Mark Warner's US Senate seat for Virginia (Washington ComPost).
"As I’ve made clear, I am talking to a lot of my fellow Republicans in Virginia about running against Mark Warner,” Gillespie said in an e-mail Thursday. “I’ve been encouraged by people all across our party and our commonwealth. The filing deadline is February 1st, so I will be announcing my intentions in the near future.”
Gillespie, who is also a former lobbyist, quietly began discussions with senior Virginia Republicans about the race in the summer. He accelerated his plans after November’s elections, when Democrats won the races for governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general. That sweep left the GOP with a thin bench for upcoming contests — including the 2017 governor’s race, which many Republicans previously thought would be Gillespie’s first campaign.
Republicans say Gillespie is well aware that Warner, with a campaign war chest of $7.1 million and the personal wealth to spend far more, will be a formidable opponent. The former governor frequently rates as the most popular statewide official in public opinion polls. But GOP strategists hope that the flawed rollout of the Affordable Care Act will drag down all Democrats who supported it, including Warner.
All well and good, in an era where the GOP conventional wisdom has them winning back the Senate. But Ed Gillespie is not the right choice to go against Warner, or take on issues like the risky scheme known as Obamacare, despite the cheerleading from the Tea Party-hating, liberal-posing-as-Republican Compost writer Jennifer Rubin.

A passage from the Epilogue of Craig Shirley's must-read book "Rendezvous With Destiny, Ronald Reagan and the Campaign That Changed America" tells me all I need to know about why Ed Gillespie is not the right candidate to run against Warner, that he's only a pawn for the GOP establishment and close political partner Karl Rove. Shirley wrote how Gillespie met with the Manchester Union-Leader editorial board in 2003 and...

"said in no uncertain terms that the days of Reaganesque Republican railings against the expansion of federal government are over." "Today's Republican party stands for giving the American people whatever the latest polls say they want...The people want expanded entitlement programs and a federal government that attends to their every desire, no matter how frivolous?  Then that's what the Republican Party wants too."
So? Where's the difference between Richard Milhous Obama, Mark Warner, and the Republican Party of "me too" big government statism that Ed Gillespie and Karl Rove want?  Not much difference.  It's what Reagan himself termed a party of "pale pastels."

Ed Gillespie is pro "immigration reform" (read: amnesty) and advocated for an individual mandate later seen in RomneyCare, the grandfather to Obamacare.
In Gillespie’s 2006 book, “Winning Right,” he enumerates five tenets to “ensure that efficiency, affordability, and availability would prevail in the health care sector.” The fifth principle was “all adults participate.”
Gillespie proposed ensuring "that every emancipated adult capable of providing for his or her health care do so. One way to accomplish this is to use the tax code to gain compliance.”
The goal of this, as with the mandate in the federal health care law now in place, was to reduce insurance costs across the board.
Some of Gillespie’s other proposals from his book also sound familiar, either because they are similar to the health care law Mitt Romney crafted when he was governor of Massachusetts or because they have been incorporated into the federal health care law, including a system anchored in insurance exchanges with “portable” coverage.
Again, I ask, where's the difference between Obama, Warner or Gillespie?  Why do we want to have a big government RINO run against Mark Warner?  Gillespie and Karl Rove are both allies, co-founding American Crossroads, so they have the arrogant "we know what's best for the GOP" attitude. If that's the case, why didn't their boy Mittens Romney win in 2012?  Why do their candidates not win elections?  Can we also attribute the declining voter identification of the GOP to Rove and Gillespie's idea of a party trying to be all things to all people?

Sorry, but I'm taking a pass on this Karl Rove-approved candidate, espeically after how Rove and his fellow Rovebots kneecapped our statewide GOP ticket this past November.  We don't need big government Republicans like Ed Gillespie or Bill Bolling in Washington, helping Mitch McConnell and John McLame aid and abet the socialism of Obama and Harry Reid.

Welcome Back Carter: Phony Unemployment Rate Can't Hide Smallest US Labor Force Since 1978

The December 2013 unemployment report shows, despite the fuzzy math used to calculate an unemployment rate under seven percent, horrible news and a "recovery" that exists only in the minds of Obama Regime enablers (CNBC).
Job creation stumbled in December, with the economy adding just 74,000 positions even as the Federal Reserve voted to take the first steps in eliminating its stimulus program..
The monthly job creation was the worst in nearly three years and well below the upwardly revised 241,000 in November.
Economists had expected the economy to add 200,000 jobs in December, with the unemployment rate holding steady at 7.0 percent.
More stats of how awful the economy is.

Half the jobs added in December were temporary jobs.

Two million workers left the US economy in 2013.

Allahpundit at HotAir posted a graph showing the discrepancy between the 6.7 percent number and the real unemployment rate, using the 2009 labor force participation rate.
We all know the difference between the U-3 rate and the U-6 rate at this point (I hope), and so we all understand the perverse effect that a dwindling labor force can have on “the unemployment rate.” If you’re unemployed and looking for work, you’re part of the demand for labor that employers/suppliers are trying to meet. You count. if you’re unemployed and so deeply in despair about ever finding a job that you’ve given up looking, you don’t. Get enough people to give up and the labor force just might shrink to the point where marginal job gains overall can produce relatively steep drops in the U-3 rate. Which, of course, explains how America made sub-seven-percent magic last month with that 74,000-job stinkeroo.
We all know that (again, I hope) and we’ve all seen depressing graphs by now like the ones posted at Zero Hedge showing the slow, steady contraction of America’s labor force. The graph below, though, by Sean Davis of the Federalist, visualized the U-3/U-6 contrast in a way I don’t think I’d ever seen before. If you want to grasp just how few real gains have been made since the recession supposedly ended in June 2009, gawk away:
sd
All we need is a few million more people to give up on job-hunting to reach 5% unemployment by the end of O’s term.
I genuinely don’t understand why, traditionally, the media’s emphasized the U-3 instead of the U-6 and I really don’t understand why they’d continue to do it after the Great Recession, with the public ever more aware of the dangers of long-term unemployment. Thanks to the Senate bickering over unemployment insurance, we just went through a new flurry of media coverage about the hardships of being laid off for six months or more. People’s skills get stale, they stop looking for work, and before too long employers start to view them as essentially unemployable. It’s a dire problem, the extent of which is masked by the prominence of the U-3. And yet headline-writers use the U-3 anyway. Go figure.
And the lowest labor force in the United States since January 1978.  Who was President back then?

It's the 1970s again, so cue the music...Welcome Back Carter!

Terrorist Behind Benghazi Attack of 9/11/12 Freed By Obama Donor

From Daniel Greenfield, via FrontPageMag:
The left is rushing to blame Bush for the Benghazi attack, now that the State Department is moving to name a former Gitmo detainee released by Bush as a key figure in the attack.
But Gitmo detainees were released as part of a pressure and lawfare campaign by the radical pro-terrorist left. Including Obama’s backers.
The left-wing organization that helped spring Qumu was the Center for Constitutional Rights. Last April, the group issued an indignant press release painting Qumu as a harmless victim and blasting those concerned about his unrepentant jihadi ways.
And who was running CCR at the time? An Obama backer.
Now the person that headed up the CCR when Qumu was released was none other than Michael Ratner, who not only endorsed Barack Obama in 2008, but also contributed $2,300 to his campaign as well.
Mr Ratner has aided several detainees at Guantanamo Bay, according to the Huffington Post and several have been freed.
Attorney General Eric Holder, who is also linked to CCR, has brought in a raft of terrorist lawyers into the Justice Department, including in the No. 3 position and described them as “patriots”.
In Benghazi, some of Obama and Holder’s patriots helped cause the deaths of four Americans.

The POS, excuse me, the POTUS not only hates the military, pals around with terrorists like Bill Ayers and scum lawyers who side with detained al-Queda terrorists.

Democrat Candidate For VA State Senate Compares Tea Party To Rapists

Democrat incivility leads to new lows, in the race to replace Mark Herring, the Democrat who stole the election for Virginia Attorney General (Legal Insurrection).
The War on Women is the never-ending Democratic Party strategy.
But this one is over-the-top even for that War.
Via Newsbusters:
In an outrageous ad aired on the local Washington D.C. NBC affiliate WRC-4, Virginia Democratic state senate candidate Jennifer Wexton – running to replace newly elected Virginia attorney general Mark Herring – made a shocking comparison between violent rapists that she once tried as a prosecutor to “Tea Party Republicans” in the Virginia legislature. [Listen to the audio or watch the video after the jump]
After describing women being assaulted and “traumatized again by facing the criminal in court,” Wexton made this declaration: “…as a prosecutor I put violent offenders in prison. In the Virginia Senate, I’ll fight just as hard against Tea Party Republicans who would take away a woman’s health care and her right to choose, even in cases of rape and incest.”
This is the AdChoices bar for Wexton, run by the Virginia State Democrat Caucus.

Rapists? Anti-womens rights? Jennifer Wexton, God forbid she be elected, would be the female Alan Grayson in Virginia--a hate-filled creature spewing uncivil rhetoric from a political party that does the same as Olympic sport.  When they're not busy attacking the Tea Party with hateful rhetoric, they're spouting phony lectures out the other side of their mouth about "civility."

So, when will the Republican Party get a backbone and stand up to this hateful garbage from the Democrat party who has declared war on God, babies, Israel and the voice of dissent from working Americans across the country?

"A Gutsy Call" vs "It's All About Getting Out:" Will The Real Robert Gates Stand Up

Former Defense Secretary (and President of Texas A&M University) Robert Gates has just released a book on his years in that position "Duty: Memoirs of a Secretary at War," where he lavishes criticism on Richard Milhous Obama (Washington ComPost).
In his new book, which has nearly 600 pages of text, Gates takes the reader inside the war-room deliberations of Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama and delivers unsentimental assessments of each man’s temperament, intellect and management style. “It is difficult to imagine two more different men,” Gates writes.
Gates left Washington in 2011 with a reputation as a steady, sober-minded member of the foreign policy establishment, who had served eight presidents and was admired equally by Republicans and Democrats. The next time Gates visits the capital, his reception may not be quite so warm. “Duty” is his second memoir, and this time he cuts loose.
He slams Congress for its grandstanding and gridlock. “I would listen with growing outrage,” he writes, “as hypocritical and obtuse American senators made all these demands of Iraqi legislators and yet themselves could not even pass budgets.” He describes members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee as “rude, nasty and stupid.”
Joe Biden haters will enjoy Gates’s description of the vice president as loud, garrulous and obsessed with politics over substance. “I think he has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades,” Gates writes. He accuses the vice president of poisoning Obama’s relationship with his generals: “I thought Biden was subjecting Obama to Chinese water torture, every day saying, ‘the military can’t be trusted.’ ”
Gates admires Obama’s decisiveness and smarts, but accuses him of sending troops to fight and die in support of a strategy in Afghanistan that, according to Gates, the president himself believed would fail. “I never doubted Obama’s support for the troops, only his support for their mission,” Gates writes.
He recounts his thoughts during a tense 2011 meeting with Obama and Gen. David H. Petraeus, then in charge of U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan, in the White House Situation Room: “As I sat there I thought: The president doesn’t trust his commander, can’t stand Karzai, doesn’t believe in his own strategy and doesn’t consider the war to be his. For him, it’s all about getting out.
Gates also wrote about Obama and Hillary Rotten Clinton's opposition to the Iraq War surge of 2007.
Hillary told the president that her opposition to the [2007] surge in Iraq had been political because she was facing him in the Iowa primary. . . .  The president conceded vaguely that opposition to the Iraq surge had been political. To hear the two of them making these admissions, and in front of me, was as surprising as it was dismaying.
Really, none of this surprised me. I could have told you that back in 2007, as the bloated Beast of Benghazi berated Gen. David Petraeus for the cameras. I said to people then and say again anyone who, for political reasons, attacks an effort to win a war where American troops are putting their lives at risk don't deserve to be their Commander in Chief.

So, if Gates had these problems with Obama and Crazy Uncle Joe Bite Me, then why did he stay?

Jonn Lilyea at This Ain't Hell writes:
Well, f’n duh. I don’t like Gates – I didn’t like him when he was the SecDef and I don’t like him now, and it’s mostly for exactly these reasons. Gates was in the position where he could shape policy and convince the president that he was 8TFU, instead he was Good Time Charlie, glad-handing the culprits who sent troops to their deaths, and he waits until now to speak out. Gates enabled this administration to undermine our success in Afghanistan and he was the architect of the current race for the exits.
And then on the way out the door, Gates took shots at the troops’ pay and benefits as well as those of retirees. Sorry, Gates, but you own this failure in Afghanistan right along with Obama, Panetta and Hagel. Live with it and quit making like it’s not your fault. Peddle that shit elsewhere.
And then get this. A poster a FreeRepublic found this 2011 interview of Gates by the putrid Katie Couric where he praised Obama for his "gutsy call" in giving the go-ahead for Navy SEALs to kill Osama bin Laden, while Couric sickeningly almost drools at the praise of Obama.

Moochelle To Spend More Time In Hawaii For Her Royal Taxpayer-Funded Christmas Vacation

When you live off the taxpayer dime, you don't have to worry having "skin in the game" or if you can afford a few extra days of an extravagant, royal Hawaiian Christmas holiday.

That's what Moochelle Obama thinks.  She's staying in the Paradise of the Pacific for a few extra days while Richard Milhous and the two daughters head back to frozen DC (NY Times).
When President Obama departed Hawaii Saturday evening he left behind one notable thing — his wife, Michelle.
Mrs. Obama will be staying on Oahu for several days to spend time with friends in advance of her upcoming 50th birthday. The extended visit to the Obamas’ annual tropical getaway is part of the president’s birthday gift to his wife, who turns 50 on Jan. 17.
On Saturday, before he left, Mr. and Mrs. Obama also went on a brief, 15-minute hike on the Na Pohaku O Hauwahine trail, before the president hit the golf course for a final time.

The Washington Times reported about the extravagance of the Obama vacation.
...The president’s winter recess has rivaled just about anyone’s dream getaway, filled with endless golf, dinners at high-end restaurants, snorkeling at a closed nature preserve and a private, after-hours visit to a spectacular zoo.
The president’s aides say he is always on the job, even in the Pacific paradise. Mr. Obama has received daily presidential briefings complete with the “threat matrix” — secret guidance culled from intelligence agencies about hot spots around the world.
The president also issued a statement about ailing former first lady Barbara Bush, took part in a conference call about Sudan, signed a handful of bills, called senators about a contentious bill and received updates on terrorist attacks in Russia.
Otherwise, the trip has been an unbroken stretch of luxurious living for the president with his family at a beach house in trendy Kailua, an oceanfront neighborhood in Oahu where the homes rent for $3,500 per day — more than many families earn in a month. The Obamas are paying for the $56,000 cost of the rental home, although taxpayers foot the bill for the first family’s travel on Air Force One — which, at more than $180,000 per hour, makes for a couple of million-dollar flights.
And yet President Deadbeat wants to attack the GOP for "going home for the holidays" while he golfs and lives it up like a king?

As Mel Brooks said in "History of the World, Pt. I"

Blogoversary: Eight Years Ago Today....

...this was the first post published at this blog.

Since that time, I was "exiled" a year and a half later out of the socialist "paradise" known as Marin County, California and transplanted into the 'burbs of Washington DC in Northern Virginia, and been here ever since.

I had no idea of the ride that was ahead of me when I started eight years ago.  All the stories and events that were covered, places I've seen, people I've met, so much has happened.

Eight years ago, we had a Republican President and GOP control of Congress.  We had an economy that had a 4.9 percent unemployment rate that the liberal lapdog media was pessimistic about, and acted like there was a soup kitchen on every corner.  We had al-Queda on the run in Afghanistan and in Iraq.  There had been no acts of Islamofascist terrorism in America since 9/11.  We had freedom to choose our own healthcare provider.

Today, we have control of only the House of Representatives, the most radical, far-Left President in US history who willfully ignores the Constitution he swore to uphold. We have a media who acts like a propaganda outlet for this President. We have the lowest workforce participation rate since 1978, unemployment over seven percent, more people on food stamps and disability than ever before, and the lapdogs in the media claim it is a "recovery."

Al-Queda is no longer on the run, because America under Obama has been in retreat. The Muslim Brotherhood has been on the rise across the Middle East. Afghanistan has gone from being under control to falling back in the hands of the Taliban. Al Queda has taken control over two cities in Iraq they were driven from in 2004.

And never forget the terror attacks committed against America that the Muslim-sympathizing Obama Regime has been in denial about.

The Little Rock, Arkansas recruting station shooting
The Fort Hood Jihad shooter
Attempted bombing of Northwest Airlines 253
Northern Virginia Jihadist Who Shot A Marine Corps Museum and recruiting station
Attack on US Consulate in Benghazi, 9/11/12
The Boston Marathon Bombing

Our weak economy has gotten weaker and we've lost our healthcare choices thanks to a government run health care system put in place by this President and his goosestepping, obedient Democrats.

Even worse, we have a Republican Party who has become timid in fighting the far-Left radicalism of this President, his illegal usurping of the Constitution, and repealing his freedom-killing, job stifling risky healthcare scheme.

Instead of attacking this leftist radicalism, the GOP is attacking us, you and I, the conservative movement, their electoral base.

We're in a lot more trouble in 2014 than we were in 2006. Not only do we have liberals to push back against, we have to fight the GOP establishment RINOs and their crony-capitalist enablers, who aren't really that opposed to big government, just not as big as Obama wants.

We have our work cut out for us.

Here's to year number nine, starting now.  What could be the most important year if we have any chance of saving this nation.

Stay tuned and stay in touch!

Democrat Vietnam Fall Redux: Al Queda Retakes Iraqi Town Of Fallujah

What the hasty retreat from Iraq that Richard Milhous Obama and the liberals have helped occur (see South Vietnam and Pol Pot circa 1975), reported by Fox News.
After fighting in a bloody three-day war, Al Qaeda-affiliated militants raised its flag over government building in the western city of Fallujah, the city previously secured by U.S. forces before withdrawing from the country two years later, The Washington Post reported.
At least eight people were killed and dozens injured Friday night as the Iraqi army tries to regain control of the city. The army, which lobbed mortar bombs in its response, has been joined in the fray by tribesmen from Ramadi, a Sunni stronghold.
Major Sunni tribes turned against Al Qaeda before the American withdrawal at the end of 2011, but also do not support the Shiite-led government in Iraq, creating an odd alliance in the battle against militants. The total death toll from the violence, which began earlier in the week, is not yet known.
On Friday, Al Qaeda gunman sought to win over the population in Fallujah with a militant commander appearing among worshippers holding Friday prayers in the main city street, proclaiming that his fighters were there to defend Sunnis from the government, a resident said.
"We are your brothers from the Islamic State in Iraq and Levant," militants shouted through the city using a stolen police car. "We are here to protect you from the government. We call on you to cooperate."
The overrunning of Fallujah and Ramadi, another Sunni stronghold, by Al Qaeda’s Iraqi branch in the Sunni heartland of western Anbar provinces is a blow to the Shiite-led government of Prime Minister al-Malik. His government has been struggling to contain discontent among the Sunni minority over Shiite political domination that has flared into increased violence for the past year.
Fallujah was a stronghold of al-Queda insurgency in 2004, where their radical leader al-Zarqawi kidnapped and videotaped beheadings of Americans and others who were captured by his band of terrorists.  US and coalition forces led attacks on the al-queda strongholds there in late 2004, at the cost of 51 US troops and 425 wounded.

While our troops were engaging in this bloody fighting, several Democrats, including Barbara "Call Me Senator" Boxer, Raul "Reconquista" Grijalva, Dennis Kookcinich and Henry "Nostrillitus" Waxman helped the anti-American skanks known as Code Pinko ship $600,000 in "humanitarian aid" to the terrorist scum who fought against our troops.

Obama failed to negotiate a new status of forces agreement in 2011 which led to what liberals wanted all along--abandoning Iraq to terrorists, just like what they did with the "war that should be fought" in Afghanistan.

Obama Approval Rating Lowest Since Nixon At Same Time In Presidency

How fitting! (Washington Times)

President Obama came into office promising to be the opposite of George W. Bush, but he is imitating his predecessor in one regard — his second-term slide in popularity is almost a mirror image of the Republican’s declining fortunes in 2005.
Mr. Obama’s job-approval ratings in most polls this month were 40 percent or lower, down from 54 percent at the start of the year and the lowest of his presidency. Mr. Bush’s popularity in December 2005 stood at 43 percent, down from a high of 57 percent near the beginning of his second term and less than half the 90 percent-plus approval ratings in the days after the Sept. 11 attacks.
Only Watergate-plagued Richard Nixon had a worse rating than Mr. Obama at the same point of his presidency, in 1973. Although presidents tend to lose some public approval after winning second terms, Mr. Obama’s numbers slipped more quickly than most others.
“The history of the presidency is like an hourglass with the sand running out,” said Stephen Hess, a presidential historian at the left-leaning Brookings Institution. “There is a little bump up at the start of the fifth year, and then the downward trend continues. The problem here is that Obama had such a terrible fifth year. He blew that one opportunity he had to put some things together.”
Almost from the moment of his reelection, Mr. Obama was sidetracked by scandals including the Internal Revenue Service targeting of conservative groups and revelations of widespread spying by the National Security Agency.
In October came the hapless launch of the Obamacare website and the public’s realization that Mr. Obama didn’t tell the truth when he assured consumers that they could keep their health insurance policies if that’s what they preferred. The president’s broken promise damaged his credibility and was chosen by an independent fact-checking group as the biggest political lie of 2013.
...Mr. Obama doesn’t have to face the ballot again, but many Democrats are openly worried that his low popularity numbers could drag down the party in the November midterm elections and could hand control of both houses of Congress to Republicans.
There's one difference. Forty years ago, the media went all out doing their job as watchdogs to bring down Nixon, while the same media goes all out today to protect Obama, who I have argued has done worse than any crime Nixon ever committed.

Still, it's fitting that the most corrupt person to hold the Presidency since Nixon is just as unpopular as the 37th President.
