Many of us knew it all along, but the "architect" of the Obamacare law admits they needed a "lack of transparency" to get the bill through Congress and to dupe the stupid American voter (Daily Caller/Fox News).
(Jonathan) Gruber, the MIT professor who served as a technical consultant to the Obama administration during ObamaCare’s design, also made clear during a panel quietly captured on video that the individual mandate, which was only upheld by the Supreme Court because it was a tax, was not actually a tax.
“This bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO did not score the mandate as taxes. If CBO scored the mandate as taxes, the bill dies. Okay, so it’s written to do that. In terms of risk-rated subsidies, if you had a law which said that healthy people are going to pay in – you made explicit healthy people pay in and sick people get money, it would not have passed… Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really, really critical for the thing to pass… Look, I wish Mark was right that we could make it all transparent, but I’d rather have this law than not.”
[The video was from an Oct. 17, 2013 event hosted by the University of Pennsylvania.]This is Enron-style fraud, except the scum in the Democrat Party and this creep won't go to jail for defrauding the American people. But not just that, where are the howls of outrage from the media? If this had been someone in the Bush Administration, claiming they had to manipulate information and not be "transparent" about the sources of WMD's in Iraq, the media would be calling for Congress to impeach.
Of course we know the Democrat's claims about "lies" to go to war in Iraq were made up out of thin air. But isn't it revealing that the Democrat Party will accuse a Republican President of "lying" to go to war, but will actively engage in lying to forward their agenda, all while looking down on their voters as stupid.
The Democrats deserved everything they got at the polls last week...and more. Now the Republican must get rid of this, or else they deserve to be replaced by people who will.
