ISIS Seeks To Use Open Border From Mexico To Launch Attacks in US

While the Celebrity-In-Chief President who doesn't have a plan, except to punish his enemies, the Islamist terror threat he does not speak about seeks to use the open border with Mexico as a springboard to launch terrorist attacks (Judicial Watch, via
Islamic terrorist groups are operating in the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez and planning to attack the United States with car bombs or other vehicle born improvised explosive devices (VBIED). High-level federal law enforcement, intelligence and other sources have confirmed to Judicial Watch that a warning bulletin for an imminent terrorist attack on the border has been issued. Agents across a number of Homeland Security, Justice and Defense agencies have all been placed on alert and instructed to aggressively work all possible leads and sources concerning this imminent terrorist threat.

Specifically, Judicial Watch sources reveal that the militant group Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) is confirmed to now be operating in Juarez, a famously crime-infested narcotics hotbed situated across from El Paso, Texas. Violent crimes are so rampant in Juarez that the U.S. State Department has issued a number of travel warnings for anyone planning to go there. The last one was issued just a few days ago.

Intelligence officials have picked up radio talk and chatter indicating that the terrorist groups are going to “carry out an attack on the border,” according to one JW source. “It’s coming very soon,” according to this high-level source, who clearly identified the groups planning the plots as “ISIS and Al Qaeda.” An attack is so imminent that the commanding general at Ft. Bliss, the U.S. Army post in El Paso, is being briefed, another source confirms. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) did not respond to multiple inquiries from Judicial Watch, both telephonic and in writing, about this information.
How open is the border there? Remember what James O'Keefe did recently, while dressed as Osama bin Laden?

"We Have No Strategy Yet" But We're Monitoring Twitter For Hate Speech: The Disconnect Of Our Pop-Culture President & Lib Media Sycophants

Yesterday saw perhaps the most mind-blowing, inexplicable words ever uttered by an American President, especially when it comes to the threat of Islamic terrorists from ISIS and ISIL.

"I don't want to put the cart before the horse. We don't have a strategy yet."
I guess this is what happens when all you have to worry about is the next fundraiser or when the next tee time is.  Because this weekend, Obama has two fundraisers to attend in Westchester County, New York, as well as the wedding of an MSNBC talking head.

Meanwhile, across the pond in England, Prime Minister David Cameron seems to understand the threat being faced by the free, Western world (AP via ABC News).
Prime Minister David Cameron pledged Friday to plug gaps in Britain's armory to combat terror, describing the extremist threat posed by the Islamic State group as being more dangerous than even that of al-Qaida.

Cameron's remarks came just moments after authorities raised Britain's terror threat level to severe, the second-highest level. The decision was related to developments in Iraq and Syria, but there was no information to suggest an attack was imminent.

"What we are facing in Iraq now with ISIL is a greater threat to our security than we have seen before," Cameron said, using an abbreviation for a longer name the Islamic State previously used: the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant.

He told reporters that while the Taliban facilitated al-Qaida terrorism, the Islamic State group is "effectively a state run by terrorists." He said the ambition to create an Islamist caliphate isn't something that could be ignored.

"We could be facing a terrorist state on the shores of the Mediterranean and bordering a NATO member," he said, referring to Turkey.

Intelligence and security services now believe around 500 Britons have gone to fight in Syria and potentially Iraq. Some of the plots are likely to involve fighters who have traveled from Britain and Europe to take part in fighting in the Middle East.
But in America, the collective head of our government is placed in the sand. Two weeks away from the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks in New York, and the two year anniversary of the attack on the Benghazi compound, the Obama Regime, the Democrat Party and their liberal sycophants in the media are still in denial about the threat of Islamists against the free world.

To prove my point...liberal media pundits Paul "The Forehead" Begala and Alan "The Eyebrow" Colmes.

Begala sent out the follow Tweet to defend his liberal President while attacking President Bush.

So, to liberal Clintonoid Begala, our military are a bunch of conquerors and occupiers, the typical line of the radical hate-America-first left since they flew the Vietcong flag in the 1960s and spit on returning soldiers, calling them "baby killers."

Colmes showed another example of the "See No Evil, Hear No Evil" attitude toward Islamic terror that the Left has had since 9/11 last night on the O'Reilly Factor (The Blaze).

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld clashed with liberal guest Alan Colmes Thursday night, pushing back against Colmes’ contention that the Islamic State does not currently pose a direct threat to the United States.

“Why is it that lefties like you … have a hard time identifying actual existential evil unless it’s a Republican or a stay-at-home mom, where you can condemn them?,” asked Gutfeld, who was filling in for Bill O’Reilly. ”But when it comes to somebody who wants to kill you, oh, you know, they’re nobodies.”

Colmes, who posited that it seems as though the Islamic State threat is being ginned up in an effort to potentially lead the U.S. into another war, said that he was by no means defending the Islamic State, but that he didn’t want to see yet another American-led conflict unfold.

“I guess what it is is they’re not reaching the Colmes level of barbarism,” Gutfeld said. “They’re just not vicious enough for you.”
Colmes and I went at it on Twitter earlier.

Colmes later wrote:

Gullible Alan? Was the following below not enough bloodshed to wake Alan Colmes and his liberal bed wetters up to the threat of radical Islamists toward our fellow citizens?

Now if you cannot remember these sights and sounds from 13 years ago, and they don't anger you, something is wrong.  But the media decided to quickly take the footage off the TV of the people jumping from the buildings. Instead, a few kooks decided to make hair brained theories that 9/11 was some big government plot to go to war for oil. Democrats, whose patriotism after 9/11 lasted about as long as the flags that popped up on cars, led those who believed these theories by 2006, because they still seethed with anger over the "stolen" 2000 Presidential election.  Their big hero was a big, fat fraud from Michigan who spun his own web of lies, using the blood shed on this sacred day to attack the President with, as well as profit from.

This is not to say that President George W. Bush, nor any other US President, is ever off limits from criticism.  Bush certainly deserves criticism for his domestic spending (biggest government spender post LBJ, pre-Obama), his pro-amnesty position, and even some decisions in war planning in the War on Terror (which Iraq was a part of).  But it is an entirely different subject when certain members of our government engaged in an effort to embolden the enemies by declaring the "war is lost" (Harry Reid), calling our troops Nazis, Soviet gulags, or Pol Pot (Dick Turbin), or that US Marines killed civilians in cold blood (Jackoff Murtha), or "air raiding villages and killing civilians" which Obama said in 2007 on his road to the Presidency while campaigning to reverse the Bush policies...all this for political gain.

The Democrats fought their war against Bush and the GOP, with (to Bush's shame) no effective response in defense. And what happened? The War on Terror became "Overseas Contingency Operations" or "Man Caused Disasters." A jihadi attack at an Arkansas recruiting station, the Marine Corps Museum and Chantilly VA Marine Recruiting station were blips on the media radar, while Eric Holder's Racial Justice Department announced Muslims would get their protection. And we saw the fruition of that as the Ft Hood jihadi Nidal Hassan's act of terrorism was classified as "workplace violence."

Meanwhile, patriotic American citizens who were opposed to higher taxes, more government intrusion in our daily lives, government-run healthcare, etc, were dubbed by the new Obama Regime as "domestic security threats." Obama talked about "punishing enemies" and his thuggish underlings used terms like "punch back twice as hard."

And while Obama golfs as ISIS beheads Americans and kills Iraqi Christians and other infidels, news broke this week on how the Regime is funding a database monitoring Twitter for "hate speech."

The National Science Foundation is financing the creation of a web service that will monitor “suspicious memes” and what it considers “false and misleading ideas,” with a major focus on political activity online.

The “Truthy” database, created by researchers at Indiana University, is designed to “detect political smears, astroturfing, misinformation, and other social pollution.”

The university has received $919,917 so far for the project.

“The project stands to benefit both the research community and the public significantly,” the grant states. “Our data will be made available via [application programming interfaces] APIs and include information on meme propagation networks, statistical data, and relevant user and content features.”

“The open-source platform we develop will be made publicly available and will be extensible to ever more research areas as a greater preponderance of human activities are replicated online,” it continues. “Additionally, we will create a web service open to the public for monitoring trends, bursts, and suspicious memes.”

“This service could mitigate the diffusion of false and misleading ideas, detect hate speech and subversive propaganda, and assist in the preservation of open debate,” the grant said.
Why would this Regime want to monitor speech on the Internet, and who would be defining what is and isn't "hate speech"?

For all the talk about "political extremism" coming for the right, it is the Left who keeps tabs on "hate speech" and inspires their crazies to act in deadly ways, such as the attempted attack on the Family Research Council by a homosexual activist who wanted to kill and smear Chick-fil-A sandwiches in the faces of his victims. He was inspired by the Leftists at the Southern Poverty Law Center, who listed the FRC as a hate group.

But what Obama, the Democrats, Alan Colmes, Paul Begala, and the other liberal apologists for Islamic terrorism forget, is the phrase I heard from some after 9/11.

"We are all in this together."

The al-Queda terrorists on 9/11 didn't ask what political party or ideology, sexual orientation, gender, race or religion the victims on the four planes, the Pentagon and the Twin Towers were. They were all equally infidels and were all equally targeted.

The threat of terrorism is bigger than loyalty a President, a political party or ideology.

We are all equally a threat.

And for those like Colmes, Begala and others who want to deny that threat, while looking at conservatives/Tea Party members as the real enemy, well, you are part of the problem.

Religious Extremist Kills Two Gay Men In Seattle: The Hate Crime You Never Heard Of

Now, if you read the headline above, you might assume (thanks to the liberal media narrative) that some Christian killed three gays, because liberals and gay activists like to portray Christians as mean, bigoted, psychos who want nothing else but to eliminate gays.

But the religious extremist in question is not a Christian ( via The Other McCain).
The man accused of killing a New Jersey teenager and three other men as retribution for U.S. military action in the Middle East could eventually be charged with terrorism offenses, according to a national security expert.
William C. Banks, Director of the Institute for National Security and Counterterrorism at Syracuse University, said that if the details of a confession by Ali Muhammad Brown described in court papers filed in Washington state Wednesday are accurate, he could face additional charges at either the state or federal level.
“If he’s got the motivation that he announced he has, which is to exact revenge for the U.S. killing of Muslims in that part of the world, he’s a terrorist,” Banks said. “It’s a matter of motivation.”
Brown, 29, has been in custody at the Essex County Jail in Newark since July 18 on charges related to the murder of Brendan Tevlin, a 19-year-old college student from Livingston who was shot eight times as he drove through West Orange on his way home June 25.
Authorities in Washington have also charged him with a trio of slayings, including the shooting deaths of two gay men in Seattle on June 1, and the death of another man whose body was found on a highway in an unincorporated area outside the city April 27.
McCain pointed to this link, which says that Brown picked up the gay men he killed via a smartphone app.
The bodies of two gay men, 27-year-old Ahmed Said and 23-year-old Dwone Anderson-Young were found in the early morning hours of [June 1] not far from Seattle’s Capitol Hill gayborhood. According to police, they were both executed by Brown no more than 17 minutes after they had picked him up via a social networking app near a popular gay bar in town.
Both victims were shot in the head and police say there was no evidence of a struggle, robbery, exchange of drugs or any other type of crime. Neither of the victims had a criminal history, leading police to believe the crime was motivated exclusively by hate. . . .
Though court documents don’t directly implicate Grindr as the app used by the victims in this case, a friend of Said’s is quoted telling police officers that Said was texting frequently on “an app like Grindr or Jack’d” before his murder.
Brown was arrested July 18. Now, we're just finding out he was investigated back in 2004 for terrorism and he went on his murder spree because of the War on Terror?

Where is Eric "My People" Holder and the Department of Racial Justice investigating this?  Where is the media? You can bet your life if this had "Christian" or "Tea Party" written as a reflection of who the killer allegedly is, it's all you would be hearing about on the news.
Noah Rothman at Hot Air suggests the national media is ignoring Brown’s murder spree precisely because it is Islamic terrorism. Certainly, if these killings had been committed by anyone who could be portrayed as “right-wing,” there would be wall-to-wall coverage on CNN and MSNBC, liberal blogs would be going crazy and President Obama would be welcoming the families of the victims at the White House. But that’s not happening, is it?
The Matthew Sheppard killing had something to teach us. There were many, many reports about that. It was the most infamous single American murder of that decade.
In this case, three gay men were murdered. Three.
Not even a blip on the national news radar screens.
You know what this reminds me of? The “Asian rape gang” phenomenon.
Schoolgirls in England, some as young as 12, were basically being “groomed,” seduced and pimped out by gangs of Islamic men. (In Britain, “Asian” is a term used to describe immigrants or the children of immigrants from Pakistan or wherever, most of whom are Muslim.) These stories made tabloid headlines, but the respectable “mainstream” media was hopelessly gagged by political correctness and the fear of being perceived as racist or “Islamophobic.” However, despite this self-imposed blackout by the respectable press, everyone in England knows what is really happening. The subhuman status assigned to women in Islamic cultures is certainly no secret, yet British feminists were suspiciously mute about the rape gangs.
There is a conspiracy of silence, you see, which includes both gay activists in America and feminists in England, to suppress the brutal truth about Islamic jihad and what it really means. Why is this? Because the gay-rights movement and the feminist movement are both part of the progressive Left, which aims to destroy Western civilization — and Islam is their ally in that regard.

TSA Lied, Now Admitting They Let Illegal Aliens Fly Without ID

Feel safer in the air now (The Lonely Conservative)?
When news first broke that the TSA was allowing illegal immigrants to board commercial airplanes without proper identification the agency denied the allegation and went on the attack against the reporter who brought us the news. As it turns out, it was true and now the TSA is admitting that they allow illegal immigrants to use their “notice to appear” forms as ID, which can be recreated on any word processing program.
A new letter from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) admits that illegal aliens were being allowed to board planes using Notice to Appear forms they received after entering the U.S. illegally. The revelation directly contradicts a TSA statement last month denying such allegations to various media outlets, including Breitbart News. In July Breitbart Texas Managing Director Brandon Darby broke the news that the TSA was letting illegal aliens board planes using Notice to Appear forms; subsequently, a TSA spokesperson publicly attacked Darby on Twitter, insisting that his report was “completely wrong.”
The newly-surfaced TSA letter was penned on August 7, according to the Gateway Pundit. It was reportedly sent from the TSA to Rep. Kenny Marchant (R-TX), a member of the Border Security Caucus. The letter confirms that illegal aliens are being allowed to board planes using a Notice to Appear form (also known as I-862), as Darby revealed in July.
Hector Garza, a spokesman for the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) told Darby that Notice to Appear forms can “easily be reproduced or manipulated on any home computer. The Notice to Appear form has no photo, anyone can make one and manipulate one. They do not have any security features, no watermark, nothing. They are simply printed on standard copy paper based on the information the illegal alien says is the truth.” (Read More)

Bigoted Harry Reid Thinks Asians Aren't "Smarter Than Everybody Else"

"Dingy" Harry Reid likes throwing the race card against the GOP and others.

But if he really wants to see a racist, maybe he should walk over to the mirror, because as the video below shows, Reid lets the bigotry drip casually from his lips (Rachel Pulaski at Gateway Pundit).

On Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid spoke at a Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce meeting. Reid decided this was a great place to try out his new Asian jokes. In the video, Reid tells the Asian audience
“I don’t think you’re smarter than anybody else, but you’ve convinced a lot of us you are,” and before walking off the stage Reid announced, “One problem that I’ve had today is keeping my Wongs straight.”
This is not the first time Reid has made racist comments. In 2010 he apologized for his racial comments about President Obama and in 2009 Reid was forced to defend his support for African-American politicians in a testy exchange with David Gregory on “Meet the Press” after it was disclosed that he had opposed three other black potential replaces for President-elect Barack Obama.
Not only that, Reid has attacked black Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, as recent as July after the Hobby Lobby decision, when Reid slammed the "five white men" who voted for the decision, even though Thomas was one of the five.

In late 2004, Reid also attacked Justice Thomas, calling him "an embarrassment to the Supreme Court" whose "opinions are poorly written."

Golfing After Speaking About Islamic Savages Beheading James Foley...It Doesn't Get Tackier Than This

That was the attitude Richard Milhous Obama had after his comments made about the vicious beheading of American journalist James Foley by these sixth century Islamosavages called ISIS or ISIL or whatever they're called (NY Daily News).

President Obama put his own spin on the oft-quoted advice of Teddy Roosevelt: Speak sharply and carry a big nine iron.
The vacationing commander-in-chief, after promising a relentless hunt for the terrorist butchers of a U.S. journalist, teed off on a Martha’s Vineyard golf course just a short time later.
“Obama is more dedicated to golfing than he is to defending the nation,” sniped Liz Cheney, daughter of the former GOP vice president, via Twitter.
French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius also took a swing at Obama.
“I know in Western countries, this is vacation period,” he said, according to The Wall Street Journal. “But when people are dying, you must return from vacation.”
It's bad when even the French have to attack the President for being on an endless vacation. Reminds me of that scene from The Naked Gun...

"Not one man will rest until the scum who did this is behind bars. Now let's get a bite to eat."

Speaking of Obama's statement, Bookworm Room makes a great argument for why it was awful.

While I predicted that Obama would express sadness on his own behalf and on behalf of the American people, it turns out that Obama, still a legend in his own mind, felt called upon to speak on behalf of the entire world:
Today, the entire world is appalled by the brutal murder of Jim Foley by the terrorist group ISIL.[snip]
Jim was taken from us in an act of violence that shocked the conscience of the entire world.[snip]
The world is shaped by people like Jim Foley and the overwhelming majority of humanity who are appalled by those who killed him.
I don’t want to be too pedantic, but I do feel it’s incumbent upon me to point out that large swaths of the Muslim world aren’t appalled at all by “Jim’s” death but are, instead, quite pleased. (And am I the only one who finds bizarre Obama’s faux familiarity with a man he never met, who died with a dignity that at least deserves the respect of his full name?)
Anywhere that there is radical Islamism and/or anti-Americanism you will find people celebrating the slaughter. Perhaps Obama has forgotten the spectacle of Gazans handing out candy when Americans died on 9/11 or of the 2000 Ramallah lynching that saw Muslims joyfully bathing their hands in the blood of murdered Israelis soldiers:
Ramallah lynching.
So, no, Mr. President, the entire world is not “appalled,” and a big part of America’s problem lies in the fact that (a) you refuse to recognize that reality and (b) you think you speak for the world.
As I also predicated, Obama did issue a strongly worded condemnation of the killers, but he combined it with the second part of my prediction, which was his assurance that the killers, despite rejoicing under a name with the word “Islamic” in it, despite dedicating their acts to Allah, and despite self-identifying as Muslim are, in fact, not Muslims at all:
Let’s be clear about ISIL. They have rampaged across cities and villages killing innocent, unarmed civilians in cowardly acts of violence. They abduct women and children and subject them to torture and rape and slavery. They have murdered Muslims, both Sunni and Shia, by the thousands. They target Christians and religious minorities, driving them from their homes, murdering them when they can, for no other reason than they practice a different religion.
They declared their ambition to commit genocide against an ancient people. So ISIL speaks for no religion. Their victims are overwhelmingly Muslim, and no faith teaches people to massacre innocents. No just god would stand for what they did yesterday and what they do every single day. ISIL has no ideology of any value to human beings. Their ideology is bankrupt. (Emphasis added.
Does Obama actually believe this mush-brained babble? Does he actually think he’s the one who gets to define what constitutes Islam? If it’s good and harmonizes with his hard Left values, it’s Islam; if it’s bad and actually follows the word of the Prophet, and dedicates all acts to its religion, than Obama gets to say it’s not Islam. Obama seems to be aggregating an awful lot of godlike power to himself there.
What has been sickening to me, as an American, is how Obama and his party have been part of the problem for the last 12 years. We had a lot of 30 day patriots after 9/11, whose unity and resolve lasted about as long as the flags on their car antennas. Then, when the Left realized they could make political hay and start exploiting the War on Terror for political gain, they did it. That's not to say criticism of a President during a time of war should be off limits, but to make false allegations we were "lied" to for a war in Iraq, to claim the "war is lost," and to act as an apologist for imprisoned terrorists while attacking our military guarding them was tantamount to treason...all because the Democrat Party was madder about November 2000 than they were about September 11, 2001, and wanted revenge.

Not once has Obama dared to mention the words Islamic terrorism. Instead, it's "workplace violence. The only time Obama speaks of Islam is to defend it, like when he stood in front of the UN and say their "prophet" shall not be mocked, while peddling the lie about a video being the reason for the second 9/11 in 2012.

Maybe this is the only way Obama will wake up about Islamofascism.

Perry Mugshot Sticks It To Dems...Plus, More Proof Indictment Is Sleezy Partisan Politics

Yesterday, Texas Governor Rick Perry gave Texas and national Democrats a proverbial "flipping of the bird."

After speaking to supporters gathered outside, Perry took the following mug shot photo...

Compare that to the corrupt, drunken Democrat for whom Texas Democrats protected by going after Perry, for demanding the lush DA resign or he would veto funding for the Travesty County, TX Public Integrity Unit.

If that wasn't enough, Perry even stopped at Sandy's hamburger stand on Barton Springs Road in Austin for some ice cream (they have some great custard there).

If anything, the way Perry is playing this does more to help than hurt him. Even a writer at the notoriously left-wing Washington ComPost says the indictment could be "a blessing in disguise."

If you needed more proof how much this indictment is Texas sized BS, here's something you didn't know about the group who brought the complaint against Perry (IBD).
Enter George Soros, who holds all those views and whose non-government organizations are behind the funding of Texans for Public Justice via his Open Society Institute, the Sunlight Foundation and indirectly through other groups that hand cash out to causes they believe in.
They've given Texans for Public Justice at least $200,000 to masquerade as a public-spirited, good-government group instead of the pack of partisan hacks that it is.
Here's more. The Houston Comicle reported how members of the grand jury in Travesty County were "offended" by the idea that the Perry indictment was political.

But, according to Media Trackers....
Rho Chalmers, who disclosed to the Houston Chronicle yesterday that she was a member of the grand jury that indicted Texas Gov. Rick Perry, was an active delegate to the Texas Democratic Party convention during grand jury proceedings. Chalmers’ active participation in Democratic state politics is important because she claimed yesterday to the Houston Chronicle that her decision to indict Perry, a Republican, was not based on politics.
“For me, it’s not a political decision,” Chalmers told the newspaper. “That’s what a grand jury is about – take the emotion out of it and look at the facts and make your best decision based on your life experience.”
More troubling, however, is the fact that Chalmers attended, photographed, and commented on an event with Democratic state Sen. Kirk Watson while grand jury proceedings were ongoing.
Watson was a witness in front of the grand jury. On June 27, 2014, Chalmers shared a photo of the Watson event on a community Facebook page she started called Developer’s Dungeon. “Senator Kirk Watson telling the story of the Wendy Davis fillibuster (sic),” she wrote in a comment accompanying the picture.
...Numerous posts from both of Chalmers’ Facebook pages — her personal page, which she shares with her husband, Davis, and her “Developer’s Dungeon” page — make clear that she is a partisan Democratic activist, and that she was an active participant in the Texas Democratic Party’s state convention in June while grand jury proceedings were ongoing.
In one Facebook post on her personal page from June 28, she snapped a selfie showcasing her convention credentials.
Rho Chalmers TDPC Selfie
In a separate post on her “Developer’s Dungeon page,” Chalmers showcased her Texas Democratic Party convention credentials and bragged about her participation on the party’s Rules Committee.
“The Rules Committee was challenging but fun. A little over half a day to resolve everything but we ‘got er done’!” she wrote. She then liked and shared that post using her personal Facebook page, where she noted that she was “pleasantly surprised that I wasn’t completely lost on this committee.”
Rho Chalmers TDPC CredentialsRho Chalmers Rules Committee Pleasantly Surprised
Each of these posts was made while the grand jury was convened and its proceedings were ongoing.
Other Facebook activity from Chalmers also demonstrates her partisan political leanings. Her personal Facebook page shows that Chalmers “likes” the following Facebook groups: University Democrats, Central Austin Democrats, Black Austin Democrats, and South Travis United Democrats.
The University Democrats Facebook page crowed about Perry’s indictment shortly after it was announced.
Never mind that Chalmers and the other jurors broke the judge's orders not to discuss the case.

Yeah, if you believe the grand jury wasn't political, I have ocean front property in Arizona to sell you!

For that fact alone, this phony indictment should be thrown out on jury nullification.

And liberals are hardly the ones who need to lecture on ethics, especially when they defend their own lowlifes in their own party for the sake of "party before anything else."

Liberal MO Gov Nixon Convicts Police Officer In Media Without A Trial

Whatever happened to the concept of "innocent until proven guilty" in America?

The liberal Democrat Governor of Missouri, Jay Nixon, doesn't believe in it, and wants the police officer in the Michael Brown shooting "vigorously prosecuted" without looking at the facts.

Meanwhile, as Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit reported yesterday:
...(T)wo local St. Louis sources that police Officer Darren Wilson suffered facial fractures during his confrontation with deceased 18 year-old Michael Brown. Officer Wilson clearly feared for his life during the incident that led to the shooting death of Brown. This was after Michael Brown and his accomplice Dorian Johnson robbed a local Ferguson convenience store.
Twelve separate eyewitnesses have backed up the police officer's account of events as well.

But this is what happens when you have an angry rob being stirred up by racial agitators like the New Black Panthers and the phony Reverend Al Sharpton, who flew into Ferguson with his bullhorn, and that racist Spike Lee offering conspiracy theories. Nor does it help when the President inserts himself in this matter and sends Eric "My People" Holder down there to seek justice, especially after the activist Holder has turned the Justice Department into the Racial Justice Department.

American Journalist Beheaded By Islamic Savages Called ISIS

Awful news on the beheading of James Foley by the seventh century savages known as ISIS (Legal Insurrection).
Foley had gone missing in northwest Syria in November of 2012, and Sotloff, a reporter for Time, had disappeared in mid-2013, perhaps in Libya. ISIS accompanied the video with a message that:

…U.S. President Barack Obama’s authorization of strikes against the group places the United States “upon a slippery slope towards a new war front against Muslims,” according to BNO.

“Any attempt by you, Obama, to deny Muslims liberty & safety under the Islamic caliphate, will result in the bloodshed of your people,” the ISIS person added.

Foley also speaks in the video, saying: “I call on my friends, family members and loved ones to rise up against my real killers, the U.S. government.”
Meanwhile, liberal Democreeps, especially in Texas, are gleeful because they think they got the head of Gov. Rick Perry.  Obama is sending the racist Attorney General Eric Holder to Missouri tomorrow to get "justice" for the shooting of Michael Brown, who appears (with more coming out) not to be the "gentle giant" he was made out to be.  Conservatives, Republicans, the police, etc, we're all the enemies of the Left and Democrats, but not one of them will ever let the words "radical Islamic terrorism" cross their lips, and refuse to even mention those words.

Anti-American Jerk In Marin County Angry At Neighbor For Flying American Flag

And liberals don't want us to question their patriotism? This is why we do, especially if they live in Moron County, CA (KTVU).
An Army veteran is being criticized for displaying an American flag outside his San Rafael home.

For four decades Dean Morris has hung the flag outside his home. "I lost a great number of friends in the Vietnam conflict and it’s a tribute to them," said Morris.

But Wednesday he received an anonymous letter in the mail criticizing him for flying his flag. The letter contains some harsh language. "Can you please explain why you are flying your flag daily other than the fact you just may be a Republican a**hole," it reads in part.

It also makes a racial comment about President Barack Obama, referring to him as "your black President.”

The letter suggests those who display flags are trying to make a conservative statement, and that the flag should only fly on important holidays Ironically the letter, addressed only to "resident," was posted with a stamp bearing the image of an American flag.

Morris, who served in the Army says flying the flag and sending the letter are all part of free speech. He just finds it strange.

"I don't care if you are a liberal or conservative or whatever. This is not the ranting of person who has all their ducks in order." said Morris.

It's most likely the ranting of some member of the local America-hating, communist group in Marin, who spent the 1960s smoking dope and listening to the Grateful Dead, while calling our military "baby killers" and protesting any war.

If you Moron County liberals hate the country so much, there's an island 90 miles from Miami you could head to.  Just don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Obama-Friendly Special Prosecutor Issues Politically-Motivated Indictment Against Texas Gov. Rick Perry

What happened in Texas tonight (or to be specific, the liberal bastion of Travis County [Austin]) is politically motivated by Democrat political operatives (Legal Insurrection).
A grand jury has handed up an indictment against Gov. Rick Perry in connection with the investigation into an effort to force Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg to resign.
At the center of the issue is a complaint about intimidation stemming from Perry’s threat to veto of $7.5 million in state funding to the Public Integrity Unit run by Lehmberg’s office. The threat came after she pleaded guilty to drunk driving and served a 45-day sentence; Perry called on her to step down but she refused to resign her position. Perry then vetoed the funding for the PIU.
A grand jury was called to determine whether or not Perry broke the law when he threatened to veto the funding. As a result they issued indictments on two felony charges: abuse of official capacity and coercion of public servant. If found guilty on the charges, Perry could be sentenced to a maximum 109 years in prison.
An indictment indicates the grand jury believes the state has a strong enough case to send to trial and is not a finding of guilt. Special prosecutor Michael McCrum oversaw the presentation to the grand jury who has been meeting on and off this summer and returned the indictment Friday afternoon.
“The first count of abuse of official capacity. It basically charges that on the day of the veto in 2013 that Governor Perry intentionally or knowingly misused government property that had come into his custody or control,” McCrum said Friday afternoon.
More details and analysis to follow from Amy (in Texas).
UPDATE: Governor Perry’s general counsel has issued the following statement: “The veto in question was made in accordance with the veto authority afforded to every governor under the Texas Constitution.,” Perry’s general counsel, Mary Anne Wiley, said in a statement responding to the indictment. “We will continue to aggressively defend the governor’s lawful and constitutional action, and believe we will ultimately prevail.”
Here is the footage of Rosemary Lehmberg’s booking. According to court records, a blood test taken the night of the arrest showed that Lehmberg’s BAC was .239–almost three times the legal limit for driving.

How wonderful of Texas Democrats, defending an arrogant, abusive drunken DA simply because she has a "D" by her name.

Well, this is purely political, and I hope that Gov. Perry not only has a good legal team that shoots this frivolous case out of the sky, but also launches an investigation into those behind this.  Why do I say this? Let me lay out the details, as I see them.

Who is Michael McCrum, the "special prosecutor" against Gov. Perry? (Dallas Morning News)
Perry’s office has denied the governor did anything improper when he pushed Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg to resign. Intermediaries told Lehmberg that if she didn’t step down after a DWI conviction than Perry would veto $3.7 million annually earmarked for the state’s Public Integrity Unit that is part of her office.

She refused to resign and Perry axed the funding in June.

She is a Democrat and if she resigned her replacement would be named by Perry, a Republican.

The progressive watch-dog group Texans for Public Justice filed a complaint against Perry, contending that he illegally used the weight of his office and the promise of money to attempt to coerce a public official into an action she did not want to take.

When Travis County officials recused themselves from the case, Richardson was selected by the administrative judge for the region to preside over the case. He decided to name McCrum in the role of a special prosecutor to examine the case and determine if charges are warranted.

...In addition to being appointed as an assistant U.S. attorney during the George H.W. Bush Administration, McCrum also was selected by President Obama for one for the four U.S. Attorney posts in Texas. McCrum, after more than nine months of congressional inaction, withdrew his name from consideration.
McCrum was accused of wrongdoing earlier this year by the Bexar County (San Antonio) DAs office of telling a witness who had been subpoenaed to testify in a drunk-driving trial to "get lost for a while."

Keep in mind that Travis County is where former DA Ronnie Earle, a liberal Democrat, used and abused his office to launch politically motivated campaigns against Kay Bailey Hutchinson and former House Majority Leader Tom Delay, whose conviction was overturned back in 2013.

Democrats have had a history of abusing the courts and criminal justice system in political attacks against Republican governors by an effort known as "lawfare."  This is what the liberals used against former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, mount a strategy of frivolous ethics complaints that not only tarnished her name in the media, but also kept her from the job she was elected to do while piling up legal bills.

Isn't it also strange this indictment comes as Perry puts National Guard troops on the Texas/Mexico border in the Rio Grande Valley while Obama golfs and vacations in Martha's Vineyard like he doesn't have a care in the world? What an opportune slap at a governor who is showing up a criminal President who encourages the breaking of our immigration laws by his illegal and unConstitutional executive orders.  You know because of Perry's leadership in fighting Obama's open border, liberals want to make sure he's not a threat in 2016, so the lawfare to smear Perry begins.

Once again, Democrats are showing what corrupt scum they are, and how low they are willing to sink in order to get power.

Comedian, Actor Robin Williams Found Dead Of Apparent Suicide At Marin County Home

Sad news tonight for anyone who was entertained by "Mork and Mindy," "Mrs. Doubtfire," "Popeye," or a host of other films and comic appearances he was in (Marin IJ).
Robin Williams, the former College of Marin student who rose to stardom as a comedian and Oscar-winning actor, was found dead Monday at his home in Tiburon.

The cause of death is pending, but the preliminary investigation suggests he died of suicide by asphyxiation, said sheriff's Lt. Keith Boyd, assistant county coroner.

Williams had turned 63 on July 21.

An autopsy was planned for Tuesday.

Authorities received a 911 call at about 11:55 a.m. Monday from Williams' home in unincorporated Tiburon, where he was found unconscious, Boyd said. Williams lived there with his wife, Susan Schneider.

Sheriff's deputies and Tiburon and Southern Marin firefighters responded, and Williams was pronounced dead at 12:02 p.m.

Williams was last seen alive at about 10 p.m. Sunday at his home.

Boyd declined to release additional details as the investigation was continuing.

Williams, who had spoken publicly about his bouts with alcohol and cocaine abuse, had recently checked into a rehab to reinforce his sobriety, according to news reports. He also had a heart valve operation in 2009.

"He has been battling severe depression of late," Williams' publicist, Mara Buxbaum, told the Hollywood Reporter, a newspaper covering the entertainment industry. "This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time."

The newspaper also published a statement from Williams' wife: "This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin's family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin's death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions."

Robin McLaurin Williams was born in Chicago and spent part of his childhood in Michigan until the family moved to Marin. He graduated from Redwood High School in Larkspur in 1969 and attended College of Marin before launching his entertainment career.
Williams appeared on many USO tours overseas performing for our troops. Here is one appearance in Kuwait where those in attendance turned away from Williams during "Retreat," when the flag was being lowered.

But behind the laughs, Williams suffered from depression, and tried off and on to kick drugs and alcohol.  Sometimes the fame, success, whatever it might be in one's life, isn't enough to fill up that hole where something is missing.

If you or someone you know is going through a hard time of life, reach out to someone.  Maybe a professional, maybe a friend, maybe a minister.  Life might not feel worth living now, and no one might appear to care, but I guarantee you someone else will be deeply hurt by a decision to make a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

(VIDEO) Obama in 2008: You Give Me Presidency, My Vacation Time Is Gone

What Richard Milhous Obama said back in 2008....

"You give me this office and in turn my fears, doubts, insecurities, foibles, need for sleep, uuuh family life, vacations, leisure, is gone. I mean, I'm giving myself to you and the American people should have no patience for whatever is going through your head because you have a job to do. And so, How I think about it is you don't make that decision unless you are prepared to make that sacrifice."
From a guy who is currently vacationing at Martha's Vineyard as the world burns.

And don't forget all those golf trips.

James O'Keefe Crosses Border As Osama Bin Laden (As Well As Himself) To Show Border Is Not Secure

Dingy Harry Reid claims the US/Mexico Border is secure, but it is not.

James O'Keefe of Project Veritas (remember the ACORN expose?) shows just how wide open the border at the Texas/Mexico crossing is by crossing as himself and Obama bin Laden.

This area of I-10 in West Texas is so close to the border you can see it from the road.

40 Years Later: Maybe America Owes Nixon An Apology

Forty years ago yesterday, Richard Nixon told America he would resign the Presidency at noon on August 9, to then-Vice President Gerald Ford, after he faced certain impeachment by the House of Representatives for his part in trying to cover-up the Watergate burglary in 1972 (Fox News).

He had seen it coming for a long time – but that didn’t make doing it any easier. As early as April 1973, 16 months before the act, President Richard Nixon mused aloud about resigning his office. Now, at last, the hour of decision was upon him.

How had it come to this? Against incredible odds and amid explosive upheavals, this brooding and solitary creature, now facing ignominy on an unparalleled scale, had been one of America’s most popular and enduring politicians: one of only two men in U.S. history – Franklin D. Roosevelt was the other – to have appeared on a national ticket five times.

Indeed, it was only after losing the presidency by a hair’s breadth to John F. Kennedy in 1960 that Nixon had gone on to win the presidency twice. His re-election, in November 1972, marked one of America’s greatest landslides and as clear a vote of confidence from the American people as any incumbent could ever hope to receive: Forty-nine states, 60.7 percent of the popular vote, 97 percent of the electoral vote.

How, indeed, had it come to this? Had everyone forgotten the bombings, the riots, the street crime, the weekly body bags from Vietnam, the chaos and craziness that had torn America asunder from1968 to 1971? Had they forgotten the opening to China, the SALT nuclear accord with the Soviets, the rescue of Israel in the Yom Kippur War? How had he, the president, allowed the fantastical cast of characters in Watergate to entrap him, Lilliputians to his Gulliver? How had everything gone so wrong?

None of that mattered anymore, really – now, on the eighth of August, 1974, what mattered was simply that he had to do it: He had to resign, to become the first U.S. president ever to abdicate the office before his term was over. For the business of resignation, there was no road map: no historical precedent for Nixon to model, no pinstriped Wise Men with experience in this realm to consult, no former presidents alive to counsel the man soon to become America’s first and only ex-president.

When he began, the 37th American president bade his viewers and listeners a good evening and noted that this was the 37th time he had addressed them from the Oval Office. That there was something foreordained, a sense of grim fate, about the Nixon presidency was not lost on the man who embodied it. Nixon spoke of the erosion of his political base in Congress, without which he saw no point in fighting the Watergate impeachment drive to its conclusion. “The interests of the Nation,” he said, “must always come before any personal considerations.”

I have never been a quitter. To leave office before my term is completed is abhorrent to every instinct in my body. But as President, I must put the interests of America first. America needs a full-time President and a full-time Congress, particularly at this time with problems we face at home and abroad.

To continue to fight through the months ahead for my personal vindication would almost totally absorb the time and attention of both the President and the Congress in a period when our entire focus should be on the great issues of peace abroad and prosperity without inflation at home.

Therefore, I shall resign the Presidency effective at noon tomorrow. Vice President Ford will be sworn in as President at that hour in this office.

The speech was received well. In their instant analysis – the advent of which, in his first term, had driven Nixon bonkers: Who the hell were Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather to tell the American people what to think thirty seconds after the president had just finished addressing them on Vietnam? – the team at CBS News generally spoke approvingly. “It seemed to me as effective, magnanimous, a speech as Mr. Nixon has ever made,” said commentator Eric Sevareid, “and I suppose there’d be many, even among his critics, who will say that perhaps few things in his presidency became him as much as his manner of leaving the presidency. Certainly, no attacks on his enemies, none on the press. ... I think people will find it very hard to find fault with this.”

Rather, perhaps Nixon’s most spirited antagonist in the White House press corps, emphasized the rule of law in America, and said Nixon’s address “made clear that he respects that. He understands that. He has that appreciation and that awe for it. ... He gave to this moment a touch of class; more than that, a touch of majesty, touching that nerve in most people that says to their brain: We revere the presidency, we respect the president; the Republic and the country comes first.”

In the years since, and especially every tenth anniversary, all the Watergate Cast of Characters come out of the woodwork to pat themselves on the backs over their accomplishment. This year is no different, another Woodward & Bernstein appearance. Ten years ago, all the comparisons of Nixon to Bush (from John Dean, no less), seemed like a bunch of Leftists eager to relive their salad days of the 1960s and mid-1970s all over again. A Republican President who they could label "corrupt" and "secretive" and try to bring down.

We saw what Dan Rather did in 2004, no doubt he wanted to relive Watergate with the use of phony documents.  Just like he went after George W.'s dad in 1988 with a hatchet interview (where the elder Bush got the better of the slimy liberal Rather).

Politically, I've never been much of a fan of Richard Nixon, and I won't excuse what he did. Covering up the crimes of those under him was wrong.  But seeing what is has been going on the last few years, I think perhaps that Richard Nixon is owed an apology from the American people.

Why? Can you name me one person who was killed as a result of Watergate? No one was murdered and their deaths covered up?  Yet what do we have at Benghazi, and yet the same media that brought Nixon down, as well as the Democrat Party, could care less and are arguably protecting Richard Milhous Obama, instead of investigating what happened.

Here's another reason. The following is from Article II of the Articles of Impeachment that were to be voted upon against Nixon, which read:
Using the powers of the office of President of the United States, Richard M. Nixon, in violation of his constitutional oath faithfully to execute the office of President of the United States and, to the best of his ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, and in disregard of his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, has repeatedly engaged in conduct violating the constitutional rights of citizens, impairing the due and proper administration of justice and the conduct of lawful inquiries, or contravening the laws governing agencies of the executive branch and the purposed of these agencies.

This conduct has included one or more of the following:
He has, acting personally and through his subordinates and agents, endeavoured to obtain from the Internal Revenue Service, in violation of the constitutional rights of citizens, confidential information contained in income tax returns for purposed not authorized by law, and to cause, in violation of the constitutional rights of citizens, income tax audits or other income tax investigations to be intitiated or conducted in a discriminatory manner.
He misused the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Secret Service, and other executive personnel, in violation or disregard of the constitutional rights of citizens, by directing or authorizing such agencies or personnel to conduct or continue electronic surveillance or other investigations for purposes unrelated to national security, the enforcement of laws, or any other lawful function of his office; he did direct, authorize, or permit the use of information obtained thereby for purposes unrelated to national security, the enforcement of laws, or any other lawful function of his office; and he did direct the concealment of certain records made by the Federal Bureau of Investigation of electronic surveillance.
Richard Milhous Obama has been able to do what Nixon had an impeachment charge brought against him for merely suggesting, using the IRS as a political tool against ideological opponents. Obama achieved this end by having like-minded appointees like Lois Lerner working at the IRS, who have a hate for conservatives and religious people. Now we are seeing how the IRS is going to go after churches for the messages preached behind their pulpit.

I haven't yet talked about Obamacare and how that was done in a way that defrauded the nation, nor how Obama has acted in ways that circumvent the separation of powers as outlined in the Constitution.

And yet where is Woodward and Bernstein? Where's the same media? Where's John Dean? Where are the Democrats? All silent, because Obama doesn't have an "R" by his name.

John Adams has been quoted as stating that America was supposed to be a "government of laws, not of men."  Is that still the case?  Because we sure have a selective outrage when it comes to the person sworn to faithfully "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America."

What Richard Nixon did was wrong, but what Obama is being allowed to get away with is more destructive to the rule of law and our Constitution that what happened 40 years ago. And if the media today says nothing out of fear of guilt, but will endlessly relive the bringing down of Nixon, then I think we should be honest and apologize to the Nixon family for the double-standard they have had to live with.

Obama Finally Allows Airstrikes Against ISIS Savages In Iraq

It started today, after Obama signaled it last night (New York Times).
President Obama on Thursday announced he had authorized limited airstrikes against Islamic militants in Iraq, scrambling to avert the fall of the Kurdish capital, Erbil, and returning the United States to a significant battlefield role in Iraq for the first time since the last American soldier left the country at the end of 2011.

Speaking at the White House on Thursday night, Mr. Obama also said that American military aircraft had dropped food and water to tens of thousands of Iraqis trapped on a barren mountain range in northwestern Iraq, having fled the militants, from the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, who threaten them with what Mr. Obama called “genocide.”

“Earlier this week, one Iraqi cried that there is no one coming to help,” Mr. Obama said in a somber statement delivered from the State Dining Room. “Well, today America is coming to help.”

The president insisted that these military operations did not amount to a full-scale re-engagement in Iraq. But the relentless advance of the militants, whom he described as “barbaric,” has put them within a 30-minute drive of Erbil, raising an immediate danger for the American diplomats, military advisers and other citizens who are based there.
This will stun all you Leftists and probably some of my conservative brethren. Obama is doing the right thing in coming to the aid of these people. My only problem is, why did it take him so long to act?  And, is he committed to crushing these ISIS invaders?

Back in June, we saw the brutality of these Islamic savages...mass executions, crucifixions, beheadings, but Obama was too busy playing golf to send in airstrikes then and go after the ISIS fighters he'd mocked as a JV team back in January.

It's only gotten worse almost two months later. Christians in Iraq are facing a genocide from these second century throat cutters.  Christian sites, like Jonah's tomb, have been destroyed, crosses have been torn down. I saw today where children have been beheaded by these savages and their heads placed on sticks.

This is sick, sub-human barbarism.

Meanwhile, we have moronic "analysis" from the Associated Press like this garbage: Iraq Upheaval Threatens Obama Legacy.

This is part of the problem. There are people in danger of being slaughtered and these liberal press whores are more concerned about Obama's legacy.  What about the security of America and our allies in the Middle East, like Israel? What about the sacrifices of our men and women who served there? No, this is the problem. It's all either about Obama or Bush, like it's the Redskins (woops, I can't say that!) vs. Cowboys and we're all supposed to choose our team.

That's why we're at this place. Obama and the Democrats fought a War against the Iraq War because defeating George W. Bush politically and getting revenge for the 2000 Election was more important than eliminating the threat of Islamofascism.

It didn't have to be like this, as David Horowitz points out at National Review Online.
Barack Obama deliberately set out to lose the war in Iraq, and he did. He defied the advice of his joint chiefs of staff to secure America’s formidable military presence and keep 20,000 troops in country, and left Iraq to its own devices and the tender mercies of Iran. In doing so, he betrayed every American and Iraqi who gave his life to create a free Iraq and keep it out of the clutches of the terrorists.

Iraq is now a war zone dominated by the terrorist forces of the Islamic State, whose rise Obama’s policies fostered. Both his secretaries of state praised the animal Bashar Assad as a “reformer” and a man of “peace,” helping him to thwart his domestic opposition. The Islamic State was born out of the Syrian chaos that ensued.

Far worse was Obama’s open support for America’s mortal enemy, the Muslim Brotherhood, spawner of al-Qaeda and Hamas. During the “Arab Spring,” Obama essentially put America’s weight behind the legitimization of this murderous organization that had been outlawed for 40 years for its assassinations and conspiracies against the Egyptian regime. Secretary of State Clinton gave totally unfounded assurances to the world that the Brotherhood was ready to become part of the democratic process and give up its 90-year holy war against infidels, Jews in particular but also — and explicitly — America. During the Brotherhood’s brief tenure as the government in Egypt Obama gave these genocidal zealots more than a billion dollars in American aid and F-16 fighter-bombers that could easily reach Israel’s major population centers, which for 60 years the Brotherhood had sworn to destroy.

By his feckless interventions in the Middle East, and his tacit support for the chief organization of Islam’s terror war against the West, Obama has set the Middle East on fire. All the violence in the crescent from Gaza to Iraq, including Hamas’s genocidal war against Israel, has been encouraged by Obama’s support for the Brotherhood and hostility toward the Jewish state.

Characteristic of this encouragement was his illegal intervention in Libya, which violated every principle that Obama and the Democrats invoked to attack President Bush and undermine America’s war against the Saddam regime and the terrorists in Iraq. Thanks to Obama, Libya is now in the hands of the terrorists and thousands of Libyans are fleeing to Tunisia and Egypt. Thanks to Obama, the Christian communities of Iraq, which date back to the time of Christ, are being slaughtered.
So while Obama is doing the right thing to go after Iraq, he should have done it sooner. And does he have the will to crush ISIS, or is it just a token response, just to make it look like he at least did something?

Fraudulently "Elected" Virginia Attorney General Thinks VA's Voter ID Law Is Unconstitutional

He refused to defend the Commonwealth's "will of the people" when it came to the marriage statute (one man, one woman), now the election thief Mark Herring wants to be like the racist Eric Holder, use and abuse the title of attorney general as an activist position.

From the Augusta Free Press is this piece written by Mark Obenshain, Virginia state senator who should be Virginia's attorney general:
When Mark Herring and I faced off in last year’s election, one of his common refrains was that he would “take the politics out of the AG’s office.” And who could object to that? While every elected official brings his or her own convictions and ideas to bear, we rightly expect much of the Attorney General’s job to come down to properly interpreting and applying the law, and defending the state’s interests even when (as is inevitable) the Attorney General may disagree with some of those laws.
It didn’t take long for Herring to violate his pledge to take politics out of the office, or to do so repeatedly. The latest target of his highly partisan approach to the job? Virginia’s Photo ID law.
Last year, the General Assembly enacted legislation requiring voters to show a valid form of photo identification (with provision for free IDs for anyone lacking one)— legislation supported by the vast majority of Virginians. Earlier this summer, with the support of the Attorney General’s office and without any opportunity for public comment, the State Board of Elections exceeded its regulatory authority by embracing the novel idea that “valid” IDs included those that were plainly invalid (expired IDs, etc.).
When the State Board agreed to revisit its decision and consider an alternative definition of valid that comports with the plain meaning of the term, the Attorney General’s office stepped in with its ‘legal opinion’—to say that requiring IDs to be valid was unconstitutional!
It’s all part of a disturbing pattern, already the norm in Washington and increasingly prevalent in Richmond, in which the executive branch blithely disregards or disingenuously reinterprets laws it doesn’t like.
Now, there may be a case to be made that an expired driver’s license should be sufficient for voting purposes. That’s a matter that the General Assembly can take up for consideration. But the simple fact is that this is not what the General Assembly did.
The Attorney General’s office argues, essentially, that since it’s not possible for an officer of election to identify every conceivable invalid ID—for instance, they can’t query the dmv database to ensure that a license wasn’t revoked—then, for equal protection purposes, they cannot make determinations about the validity of any ID.
Let that sink in.
This goes far beyond the new photo ID law; it cuts deeply into prior laws regarding voter identification and sets the stage for further challenges to any ID requirement whatsoever, despite a string of court cases upholding laws like the one we have in Virginia. It is manifestly not the job of the Attorney General to manufacture challenges to laws he is sworn to defend.
Wherever one stands on whether or not expired IDs should suffice for voting—there are fair arguments to be made on both sides, and amending the law on this point merits further consideration—we should all be alarmed by this wholesale rewriting of the statute on the basis of such a strained interpretation of the equal protection clause.
Once again, Herring’s office has subordinated impartial legal analysis to the advancement of a political agenda, no matter how many contortions that requires. So much for taking the politics out of the Attorney General’s office.
If you want to know why Herring doesn't like voter ID laws, consider the following.

A vote-fraud watchdog group here in the Commonwealth found recently that nearly 44,000 people were registered to vote not just in Virginia, but Maryland as well.

Here in Fairfax County, the local prosecutor refuses to take action against alleged cases of vote fraud.
More than 200 names were turned over to Commonwealth Attorney Raymond Morrogh for investigation. The names appeared on voter rolls, even though the individuals had excused themselves from jury duty because they were not citizens.

“This should be easy to prosecute,” said Reagan George, director of Virginia Voters Alliance, an election watch group.

But the cases have fallen through bureaucratic cracks in Virginia’s most populous county — and most of the identified aliens remain on the voting rolls.

Fairfax Clerk of Court John Frey said he produced the list of names at the request of the Electoral Board. But neither Frey nor the board has prosecutorial powers in the matter.

According to board records, 278 registered voters did not affirm citizenship, as required, between 2010 and the end of 2011.

Of these, 117 had a history of voting within Virginia.

The Electoral Board referred its findings to Morrogh on four occasions: June 25, 2010; Feb. 28, 2011; May 3, 2011; and Aug. 18, 2011.

Names of an additional 36 non-affirming voters were relayed to the commonwealth attorney March 2, 2012.

Receiving no response from Morrogh, the board stopped sending data to his office.

Brian Schoeneman, secretary of the Electoral Board, said, “One of the most frustrating things is to have evidence that, on its face, justifies further investigation … and then to see zero action.”

“People say there’s no voter fraud because there are no convictions,” noted Schoeneman, a Republican and an attorney.

Election-integrity organizations call the “no-fraud” assertion both misleading and self-fulfilling when prosecutors will not prosecute.

Morrogh, a Democrat, did not respond to Watchdog’s inquiries.
That's significant, because on Election Night 2013, Obenshain had a 1,262 vote lead over Herring. In the end, Herring won the race with just over 100 votes.

Guess where Herring got the help to steal the election for attorney general?
Newly counted absentee ballots in Virginia’s 8th District could swing the election of Attorney General to Democrat Mark Herring, but a new ruling from the state Board of Election is putting provisional ballots in question.

Brian Schoenenman, a Republican official on the Fairfax County Electoral Board, said via Twitter that a new vote count for the 8th District had 5,137 votes for Herring, 2,039 votes for Republican Mark Obenshain, and ten write-in votes, a change of 1,132 votes in favor of Herring. Schoeneman made the announcement after the board met early Saturday morning to investigate an apparent error in absentee ballot returns.
If Herring refuses to defend this law, there needs to be impeachment or a recall election.  The only reason he is in office is to serve as a buffer between the law and the crooked Terry McAwful.

Border Insecurity: Off-Duty Border Patrol Agent Killed By Illegals Who'd Been Deported Numerous Times

This is what happens when you don't secure your borders, and when you have a bunch of bleeding hearts who want amnesty "for the children."

The video below is a compilation found at Rare from KIII Channel 3 in Corpus Christi and KGBT Action 4 News in Harlingen, TX, of an off duty US Border Patrol agent killed while fishing with his family on a levee in Willacy County, TX.

Not only that, Fox News is reporting that these illegals who are suspected of the murder have been deported numerous times.
Two illegal immigrants from Mexico who were charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of an off-duty U.S. Border Patrol agent in front of his family in Texas have been arrested and deported numerous times, police sources told

One suspect has been arrested no fewer than four times for entering the U.S. illegally, according to federal court records. The other has been deported twice after entering the U.S. illegally, sources said.

Gustavo Tijerina, 30, and Ismael Hernandez, 40, were arraigned Tuesday afternoon inside the Willacy County jail library. They were ordered held without bail after being charged with capital murder of a peace officer, attempted murder, and a variety of lesser charges.

The pair, who have been living in Texas illegally, confessed after being interviewed multiple times Monday to killing Border Patrol agent Javier Vega Jr. in front of his wife and two kids and his parents Sunday night while they were fishing in Santa Monica, Sheriff Larry Spence told

They finally confessed to the robbery and indicated they knew they had killed someone, but did not know it was an off-duty Border Patrol agent, Spence said in an interview in his office Tuesday morning.

"They do now," he said.

...According to court records, Tijerina, who also goes by the name Tijerina-Sandoval, pleaded guilty to entering the U.S. illegally on July 9, 2007. He was given a 30-day sentence with credit for time served and charged a $10 fee.

Three months later, on Oct. 4, he was again found guilty of entering the country illegally and was sentenced to 60 days in jail and $10 fee. In a criminal complaint, he said he entered the U.S. on Sept. 1 and was encountered by border patrol agents near Weslaco, Texas, on Oct. 3. He had waded across the Rio Grande River near Progreso, Mexico, court records show.

A year later, on Oct. 25, 2008, he again crossed into the U.S. by wading across the river. On Nov. 18, 2008, he was given 90 days in jail and another $10 special assessment fee.

On Dec. 15, 2009, Tijerina was indicted by a grand jury on charges of entering the U.S. illegally yet again. The indictment says he "had previously been denied admission, excluded, deported and removed, knowing and unlawfully was present in the United States having been found near Edinburg, Texas." Court records say he had not obtained consent from the U.S. attorney general and the secretary of homeland security to reapply for admission into the U.S.

A warrant issued for his arrest said he faced up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

He was held without bond on Jan. 26, 2010. He was given nine months in jail and fined $100.

Sources confirmed that these court cases involved the same Tijerina in custody for killing the Border Patrol agent. They said Hernandez, the other suspect, has been deported twice for entering the U.S. illegally.
