More Border Violence: 10 Killed After Shootouts In Nuevo Progresso, Reynosa, Rio Bravo

Across the border from the same area of Texas where thousands of illegal alien children are crossing the border, more drug cartel violence killed 10 people (KRGV).
At least 10 people were killed in two clashes between criminal groups and federal officers in Rio Bravo and Nuevo Progreso.
"El Universal" news agency reported that the first firefight happened after a chase in Rio Bravo. The gun battle spilled over to Nuevo Progreso.
Tamaulipas state officials said a three-hour firefight ensued. At least six people were killed in that clash.
"El Universal" reported that one of those dead is a high-ranking cartel member who controlled the area.
The situation remained dangerous Tuesday night when another shootout was reported along the Reynosa-San Fernando highway.
Several cars were burned and at least four of the armed men were killed.
More details at Borderland Beat.
"El Pantera"(CDG) was killed in a 11:00 PM clash between elements of SEMAR and the CDG group.. He was second in command of the Nuevo Progreso plaza.

The first shooting occurred at 19:00 hours on side streets of the of Nuevo Progreso, the neighboring town of Progreso, Texas. According to unofficial reports, the shootings were continuous at first, but then became more sporadic, the persecutions alerted the inhabitants of this town of 25,000 residents.

Shootouts also ensued in neighboring Rio Bravo and Reynosa municipalities.

The confrontation between criminal cells has intensified after the arrest last week of "El Comandante Alemán", the leader of the Gulf Cartel in that municipality.

Miguel Angel Alemán Salinas was the presumed successor of Juan Manuel Rodríguez Rodríguez, aka "Juan Perros", who had just been arrested a month prior.

Authorities are yet to report numbers of injured or killed in the shootings between criminal groups.

Blockages were reported at the junction of the Reynosa-Rio Bravo highway, access to Reynosa International Airport, access to the Reynosa-Matamoros highway, the Rio Bravo to Reynosa highway and near the Pharr-Reynosa International bridge.

I'd commented over the weekend on how many people I know from the Valley have said Nuevo Progresso is still relatively safe to go to. I guess not anymore, after this.

Not Just Kids Illegally Crossing Border: MS-13 Gang Member Captured In Rio Grande City, Texas

From KRGV-TV in Weslaco, TX:
Rio Grande City police detained a member of the Mara Salvatrucha gang (MS-13) after a noise complaint early this morning.

The incident happened at approximately 1 a.m. Officers were dispatched to a home where they noticed two men and two women outside. One of the women and both men ran into the house as the officer approached.

The officer questioned the woman that remained outside the house. She identified herself as the owner of the home.

The woman told the officer she had seen the three others earlier in the day and they seemed dehydrated. The woman told the officer she felt bad for them and invited them to her house for water.

The homeowner gave the officer permission to enter the house. The officer found the three individuals, who identified themselves as illegal immigrants from Guatemala.

The officer noticed that one of the men had an MS-13 tattoo on his left forearm. The man eventually confessed being a member of the hyper-violent gang.

The officer called Border Patrol so agents could take custody of the immigrants.
So, it's not just little children coming across the border. It's also gang members and others with a criminal past.

Well Well: Obama DIDN'T Pay For Peggy Joesph's Gas And Mortgage After All

Remember this video from near the end of the 2008 Presidential Campaign?

Fast forward almost six years later, and the lady in the video above, Peggy Joseph, has a different view of Richard Milhous Obama (TPNN).
Joel Gilbert caught up with Peggy Joseph for the filming of his new full-length documentary film, “There’s No Place Like Utopia,” six years after Joseph thought that Barack Obama would pay for her gas and her mortgage.
Ms. Joseph told Gilbert, after viewing the 2008 segment together that gave her notoriety, that not only has Obama not been paying her gas or mortgage, but both have gotten progressively harder to pay.
“During that time, we needed a change, but change for the better, not for the worse,” an awakened Peggy Joseph told Gilbert.
“He had a very big voice, just like the Wizard of Oz,” Joseph said, comparing Obama to the famous phony wizard. “The wizard was this little teeny-teeny tiny man, and I think it’s the same thing with Obama, the man behind the curtain,” Ms. Joseph said in a reflective, disappointing tone.
Ms. Joseph looks back at the time of her 2008 interview, saying, “I was Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. That’s how I feel.”
“What I learned is never trust the Wizard,” Joseph now says. “It’s within ourselves to have the determination, the courage, and the brains, to bring us to our destiny.”
Gilbert told WND that he was shocked to find Peggy Joseph “was a suburban soccer mom with four children, who earned her living as a hard-working nurse, the daughter of Haitian immigrants,” and had “no history of ever accepting any form of government assistance or taxpayer-funded handouts.”

She's not alone. So many people got suckered in because the media made Obama sound like the second coming, that they didn't care to look deeper into this guy's record or his rhetoric.

And now, our nation, and the world, are paying a price.

Peggy Joseph, like I'm sure many others, learned an important lesson I always remember the late, great Lee Rodgers say on KSFO-AM in the mornings. "Never fall in love with a politician ... they'll break your heart every time."

Gov. Perry To Announce Deployment Of National Guard To Rio Grande Valley As Obama Plans More Golf, Fundraisers

Texas Governor Rick Perry is going to do something that the President refuses to some leadership (The Monitor).
Texas Gov. Rick Perry plans to announce he will activate the Texas National Guard at a news conference Monday in Austin, said state Sen. Juan “Chuy” Hinojosa, D-McAllen.

Hinojosa did not have details of the effort, but an internal memo from another state official’s office said the governor planned to call about 1,000 Texas National Guard troops to the Rio Grande Valley — at a cost of about $12 million per month.

The memo was provided to The Monitor on the condition of anonymity because the information is not yet public.

Troops are expected to enter the area gradually, building up to 1,000 after about a month, the memo said.

The troops will join the Texas Department of Public Safety in its recent surge to combat human smuggling and drug trafficking amid the influx of mostly Central Americans illegally crossing the Rio Grande. Perry, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, and Texas House Speaker Joe Straus announced the $1.3 million per week effort last month.

State leaders approved funding for extra DPS troopers to fill in gaps in Border Patrol coverage in the Valley as the federal authorities were overwhelmed with an influx of children and families from Central America. The state officials feared Mexican drug cartels might exploit the situation to move their own drugs and human contraband while Border Patrol attention was turned elsewhere.

Hinojosa said Perry's move smacked of political gamesmanship.

“All these politicians coming down to border, they don't care about solving the problem, they just want to make a political point,” he said.

State officials denied the move amounted to a militarization of the border.

“This is not a militarization of the border,” the memo states. “The DPS and the National Guard are working to keep any drug and human trafficking south of (U.S. Highway) 83 and with the goal of keeping any smuggling from entering major highways to transport East/West/and North.”

DPS officials want to send National Guard troops into western areas of the Valley and the ranch lands further north, according to the memo.

“Smuggling has supposedly according to DPS moved West on the border with an increase in Jim Hogg County," the memo states. "DPS especially wants to apply the Guard in the rural areas to patrol.”

The National Guard deployment — added to the DPS surge — will bring the price tag of troopers on the border to about $5 million per week, the memo said. And the funding source for the effort remains unclear.

“It is not clear where the money will come from in the budget,” the memo states, adding that Perry's office has said the money will come from “non critical” areas, such as health care or transportation.
Liberal Rep. Hinojosa should just shut his mouth.  Perry is trying to do what Hinojosa and the rest of the Federal government refuses to our nation's borders.  I sure didn't see Hinojosa slam Nancy Pelosi when she went to Brownsville with her grandmotherly "I want to take these babies home with me" politicization.  Libs want the border open, as do the RINOs and their special interests like the US Chamber of Commerce.

Back on June 19th, I wrote that Gov. Perry should do the following:
Call the National Guard and put them on the border, then send the bill to Washington for them to reimburse Texas. If Obama tries to nationalize the guard, then I'd give orders to have Obama, Eric Holder, or Joe Biden arrested by Texas Rangers if they ever set foot in the Lone Star State.
Perry is finally going to do something he should have done sooner. Though I'm guessing he probably wanted to give the Duffer/Fundraiser-in-Chief an opportunity to show some leadership. But it's clear that Perry is the only one here who is acting like a leader.

Richard Milhous Obama? No so much.  As the Middle East heats up, the Malaysian Airlines plane is blown out of the sky over the Ukraine, and as Border Patrol agents were shot at by drug cartels near McAllen over the weekend, what was Obama up to yesterday (New York Daily News)?
On Sunday, deaths mounted in the clash between Israel and Hamas as Obama played golf at a Virginia military base after a weekend at the bucolic Camp David retreat.
Tomorrow, Obama is heading to liberal Hollywood for another fundraiser.

Maybe he should stay in Hollywood, because he's acting just like all his liberal celebrity worshippers: aloof and out of touch with the rest of America and the world.

My Old Valley Home: Ground Zero In The Debate Over Illegal Immigration

Until the last few weeks, few people knew or wondered much about the area known as the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas.

About the only time you heard of the Valley was an occasional mention on the national news, such as if a big hurricane was about to make landfall off the Gulf of Mexico (like Hurricane Allen in 1980, or Beulah in 1967).

An oil spill from an offshore rig in Mexico's Bay of Campeche in 1979 made our beaches (and those of most of Texas) not a good spot for vacationers.

Rock and roll pioneer Bill Haley died in semi-seclusion in a house off S. First Street in Harlingen, TX. A few years later, President Ronald Reagan said the following in warning of the Communist-backed Sandinista rebels in Nicaragua taking over that nation.
"It'd mean consolidation of a privileged sanctuary for terrorists and subversives just two days' driving time from Harlingen, Texas."
But now, the Valley (as it is known to locals) is now on the front pages of newspapers and the subject of cable news, as it is now ground-zero in the subject of illegal immigration and border security. Nancy Bella-Pelosi made the trip last month to use these children as political props. Sean Hannity broadcast his Fox News TV show down there last week with Texas Governor Rick Perry.  Glenn Beck, along with Dana Loesch and Congressman Louie Gohmert, are down there this weekend.

But even though it has taken the influx of unaccompanied minors swarming across the Rio Grande River, and the disconnected attitude of the Obama Regime towards the problem, the issue of illegal aliens is not new to the area, to those who've lived down there and those who still do.

I should know, because I know the Valley really well. I grew up there from the time I was five, in 1974, until I left in 1992 to start on my road as an adult.  So much has changed during that time--some of it for the good, some, for the bad.

South Padre Island was, even back in the mid-1970s, once a place with two motels and a bunch of beachhouses. Now, it's full of high-rise condos, a water park and a Spring Break attraction. Hotel rooms, even for dumpy, roach-infested ones, are outrageously expensive.  The NAFTA treaty has led to the growth of border cities like McAllen and Brownsville.

Border towns were once safe to go to for a nice dinner, or shop for cheap booze, cigarettes, etc. As a young boy, I went with my parents several times to Reynosa (across the border from McAllen) for dinner at Trevino's or Sam's, and shopping at the sidewalk shops. High school students took advantage of the lax drinking laws in Mexico to engage in underage drinking.

But since the big peso devaluation in the early 1980s and the corruption of the Mexican government, illegal immigration has been on the rise in areas like the Valley for many years. With that came the emergence of the drug cartels in the mid-1980s, kidnapping DEA agents, and even the disappearance and ritual-killing of a UT-Austin student on Spring Break, after he was kidnapped outside a Matamoros, Mexico bar by a Satanic drug gang who thought human sacrifice would keep the authorities away from them.  In the last few years, violence from the drug cartels has plagued the border cities like Matamoros and Reynosa, so much that locals no longer visit like they once did. The one exception from many friends still in the area is the town of Progresso.

Ever since the 1980s, the number of illegal aliens has risen. The last attempt at "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" in 1986 did nothing to stem the tide. In fact, that amnesty encouraged more illegal immigration.  If you were driving up Highway 77 (now to be Interstate 69) on the King Ranch, you hoped you didn't have car trouble or avoided a bathroom break because some drivers had physical confrontations with illegals who were crossing across ranchland. I remember seeing a Valley Transit Company bus stop along the side of Hwy 77 and pick up a couple of people walking along the road, miles past the Sarita Border Patrol checkpoint.  There were stories almost weekly of tractor-trailer trucks filled with illegals, including tragic stories of some who died in these trailers.

When I was a summer intern for a newspaper in the Valley back in the early 1990s, I had the chance to accompany the US Border Patrol and watch firsthand the job they do as they apprehended illegal aliens coming off a train from the border that was stopped near a beer distributor's warehouse, near the intersection of Hwy. 77 and TX 100 between Harlingen and Brownsville.  It was an eye-opening experience to watch the job of our Border Patrol and to see the faces of those who were sneaking across our border illegally.

But the problem has only gotten worse since then. Add to that how both political parties, even since George W. Bush, have offered some kind of de-facto amnesty with vague promises of border security that never materialize. It's only gotten worse during the Obama years, with executive orders that enacted the DREAM Act in 2012, and his threat of more executive orders on immigration. All it has done is encouraged more illegal immigration like what we are seeing now. The unsecured border is even open for those from other nations that are hostile to the United States.  I heard Gov. Rick Perry mention that to Sean Hannity last week. I've noted stories for years of Afghans and others linked to Hezbollah found or suspected to be in the border area.

I was last in the Valley back in June of 2012 for a high-school reunion. A couple of months later, my parents moved out of the home they had in the area for 34 years to Central Texas. So much had changed.  The border and drug cartels were always news down there. Houses are commonly found to be used as stash houses for immigrants and drugs. In fact, I have a real sinking suspicion that may be what has happened to a house my great-grandfather built near the then-Harlingen airbase in the late 1940s and ran a well-know floral nursery that my grandparents ran until the late 1980s.

I hadn't seen the house since my grandmother's passing in 1998. After a few break-ins and a fire, my parents were able to sell the house to a family, who, after a year had to relocate and sold it to a guy who said he was going to run a flea-market. Bars were put up on the front porch and sometimes a tractor trailer was parked outside.  When I went to visit this house that was a big part of my life, I was not able to explore or even go to the front door, as a pit bull on a leash came to greet me. I saw a couple of roosters walking around on the driveway near the house.  Ever since then, I always wondered if my grandparent's house is now a stash house of some kind.

Now, what the Valley has known for years is now news to the rest of America, and our political class.

Obama Jokes, Fundraises After 23 Americans Killed On Malaysia Airlines Plane Shot Down Yesterday

"This is a very sick man, this Obama."

That's what Mark Levin said last night on his radio show on the response, or lack thereof, from Richard Milhous Obama after he refused to cancel fundraisers in New York in light of yesterday's events. A Malaysia Airlines 777 was shot down over the Ukraine yesterday, and on board were 23 Americans (Fox News).

The Boeing 777 bound for Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam was shot down Thursday afternoon at cruising altitude about 35 miles from the border, according to Anton Gerashenko, an adviser to Ukraine's Interior Minister.

Malaysia Airlines originally said there were 280 passengers and a crew of 15 aboard the flight, though it later upped the number of passengers to 283 to account for three infants.

The flight manifest reportedly included the names of 23 Americans, though U.S. officials were unable to confirm Thursday whether any Americans were onboard the plane.

The incident touched off immediate finger-pointing between pro-Russian separatists and the Ukrainian government. Eastern Ukraine separatist leader Alexander Borodai told Reuters that Ukrainian military forces shot the jet down, but Kiev denied involvement and labeled the incident a "terrorist act."
Even worse, Obama only addressed the airliner shoot down at a public event in Delaware for 40 seconds, saying it "may be a terrible tragedy." (UK Daily Mail).
President Barack Obama provoked fury in the U.S. on Thursday by casually devoting less than a minute to the deaths of 295 people aboard a Malaysian airliner, as he began an often jokey 16-minute speech about the need to expand America’s transportation infrastructure.

There are no confirmed American dead and the White House issued a statement on Thursday evening which said they were still seeking any 'information to determine whether there were any American citizens on board'.

An earlier Reuters report claimed that it was feared that as many as 23 U.S. citizens had perished. Obama declared in Wilmington, Delaware that 'it looks like it may be a terrible tragedy,' but not before enthusiastically declaring that 'it is wonderful to be back in Delaware.'

'Before I begin, obviously the world is watching reports of a downed passenger jet near the Russia-Ukraine border. And it looks like it may be a terrible tragedy. Right now we’re working to determine whether there were American citizens on board. That is our first priority.'

'And I've directed my national security team to stay in close contact with the Ukrainian governemnt. The United States will offer any assistance we can to help determine what happened and why. And as a country, our thoughts and prayers are with all the families and passengers, wherever they call home.

Obama then jarringly quickly returned to his prepared remarks.

'I want to thank Jeremie for that introduction' he said. 'Give Jeremie a big round of applause.'

'It is great to be in the state that gave us Joe Biden. We’ve got actually some better-looking Bidens with us here today. We've got Beau and his wife, Hallie, are here. Give them a big round of applause. We love them.'

Obama also acknowledged the presence of Treasury Secretary Jack Lew with a joke.

'Jack Lew’s signature is actually on your money,' he said, 'although it's kind of illegible. We teased him when he first became treasury secretary that he was going to have to fix his signature a little bit because it looked just like a caterpillar running along the bottom.'

From there he launched into a 16-minute speech about transportation projects he wants Republicans to fund, complaining bitterly about their objections to his end-runs around the federal legislature.
Just like the aftermath of Benghazi, or even the Ft. Hood jihadi shooting, it's always politics first. The only thing Obama hasn't done yet is blame the killing of these passengers on a YouTube video, or refer to their deaths as "bumps in the road."

Compare Obama's "ho-hum" response to the last time the Russians, then the Soviet Union, shot down a civilian airliner.

Not only that, but according to the New York Daily News...
In 1983, Ronald Reagan cut short his beloved Santa Barbara vacation after Soviet jet fighters blew Korean Air Lines Flight 007 from the skies
"Reagan knew the importance of the President of the United States getting on the plane and returning to take command in the place where the American people want their President to be," said Ken Duberstein, Reagan's chief of staff.

But not with Obama. If it hadn't been a fundraiser or campaign speech, he'd have probably ended his 40 second statement on the attack yesterday with, "I have to go, it's tee time."

He is a very sick man.

"I'm Not Interested In Photo Ops" Really?

From Chicks on the Right:

"For What?" I'll Tell You Just What For, President Richard Milhous Obama!

Obama was down in my home state of Texas today, finding time to fundraise and ear barbecue, but couldn't find time to go down to the border of Texas and Mexico.

Instead, he found time to politicize (Yahoo).
Obama has a long list of grievances with Republicans who control the House of Representatives, who have blocked much of his second-term agenda. Problem No. 1 is the lawsuit that House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner is threatening to file over what Republicans feel is Obama's wanton use of executive orders to skirt around congressional inertia. "You hear some of 'em, 'sue him, impeach him,'" Obama said, then added a sarcastic, "Really?"
"For what? You're going to sue me for doing my job? OK. I mean, think about that, you're going to use taxpayer money to sue me for doing my job, while you don't do your job?"
Ok, here's a brief list for starters.

That "phony" scandal called Benghazi. Those four Americans who died weren't phony lives, and you dishonor their service to this nation by pretending they don't mean a thing to you, except being a "bump in the road." The idea that a terrorist attack on the anniversary of 9/11 blew a hole in your phony election year claim of "al-Queda being decimated." So, you and Hillary Rotten Clinton had to blame a video, and even now your Regime won't admit in court the video was to blame. What are you hiding?  No one died because of the Watergate cover up.

Speaking of Watergate, did you know that the mere suggestion that the IRS should be used against Richard Nixon's enemies was to be used as an Article of Impeachment against him?  Under your Regime, the IRS went after Tea Party and conservative groups. E-mails are missing, just like an 18-minute gap in the White House tape recordings. Yet you say there's "not a smidgen" of corruption. Really? How do you know that when the facts say otherwise? Again, what are you hiding?

Well, you are partially right about al-Queda being on the run, but they're running toward us, because you've shown them they don't need to fear you. You released five top al-Queda generals from Gitmo in exchange for a US Army deserter, and have a "ho-hum" attitude as even more radical Islamists ISIS take over Iraq and engage in mass slaughter, while threatening our allies and the stability of the region, but it's tee time for you, isn't it?

Now our borders are being overrun by children from Central America, because you've shown by your words and executive orders that no one needs to fear deportation. All indications show your Regime knew about it and were preparing for it, so you could use the Cloward-Piven playbook to create a crisis to demand the Congress pass amnesty.

You claim to be doing your job, but so many of us are trying to figure out just what the job that you claim to be doing is, Richard Milhous Obama?  You were elected twice to be President of the United State, leader of the free world, and instead you treat the office as if is nothing but a platform for you to act like some reality TV star.  All you ever find the time to do is raise money for the Party of Treason, golf, or vacation, and then repeat all three.  Now, you're lashing out because you don't like being called out.

Yes, you deserve impeachment, and removal from office. America deserves a leader, not some American Idol pop-star who treats our highest office like it's an ego fix and acting like Hugo Chavez when he gets called out.

YES!!!! Sarah Palin Goes There...Impeach Obama

Sarah Palin wrote about it and went on Sean Hannity's show last night to illustrate and call on Congress to impeach Richard Milhous Obama.

(Fox News Insider) Sarah Palin tonight urged Congress to impeach President Barack Obama, saying "a great awakening is due in this country." Palin said we must send the message that "he is not an imperial president, and lawlessness will not be accepted by the American people."

The former Alaska governor said the tipping point for her has been this illegal immigration crisis. She said Obama and his administration are defrauding Americans with their programs and policies. She also told Sean Hannity that experts have listed at least 25 impeachable offenses.

"I really want Congress to do its job, the constitutional power that they have to halt an imperial presidency, to halt this fundamental transformation of America that is making us an unrecognizable mess of a nation at this time," she said.

The one tool that Congress has to halt this lawlessness, Palin said, is impeachment. "And it's not necessarily, Sean, a lawsuit being filed by Congress because you don't bring a lawsuit to a gun fight. There's no place for lawyers on the front line. Where are the front lines in America? They are our borders."

She told Hannity, "Washington is broken. If people care about the future of this country and defense of our republic, they will join this cause of articles of impeachment against Barack Obama because enough is enough."

While Palin said she believes in GOP principles, she said that if the Republican Party continues to stray toward the 'liberal failed agenda," she won't hesitate to unenlist herself from the party.
And Sarah also said the GOP "didn't have the cajones."  By this interview, she shows she has more balls than that weeping lush who is Speaker of the House.

Dinesh D'Souza's Book "America" Pulled From Shelves At Obama-Loving Costco Stores Nationwide - Consumers Protest On Facebook Page (UPDATE - Book To Be Restocked)

UPDATE - 9:45 p.m.: The Right Scoop is reporting that Costco is going to restock D'Souza's book

How America is sliding more and more towards the fascism of Nazi Germany (WND).
The retail giant Costco Wholesale has issued an order to remove all copies of Dinesh D’Souza’s bestselling book America: Imagine the World Without Her from the shelves of its stores nationwide, WND has confirmed.

...But Costco’s book department issued the “pull-order,” requiring all Costco stores nationwide to remove the book, confirmed Scott Losse, an inventory control specialist in the book department at the Costco Wholesale corporate office in Issaquah, Wash., a suburb of Seattle.

The July 1 order required all copies to be removed by July 15.

Contacted for a reaction, D’Souza was surprised to learn of the Costco decision.

“If true, this would be very odd,” D’Souza said.

“We’re in the process of finding out what’s happening. I look forward to getting to the bottom of this and continuing the strong relationship my publisher and I have always had with Costco and their millions of shoppers.”

Most Costco stores WND contacted Monday had already pulled America from the shelves, with others scheduled to remove it with their regularly scheduled inventory changes Tuesday or Wednesday this week.

A few Costco stores told inquirers Monday they were “in luck,” because a handful of books were still available and a few copies remained in the warehouse waiting to be returned. Staffers offered to put aside a book so it could be purchased before all copies were shipped back to the vendor.

WND contacted by telephone and email Costco’s national book-buyer, Pennie Clark Ianniciello, at Costco’s headquarters, but received no response to WND‘s questions regarding why D’Souza’s book was being pulled from the shelves just as the companion movie was opening in theaters.

WND was unable to reach by phone or email Marji Ross, the president of Regnery, which published D’Souza’s book.

Missing from the New York Times list

Amazon readers have given America an average rating of 4.6 out of 5.

The Washington Examiner reported June 20 that the book sold 4,915 in the first week and 5,592 in the second week but mysteriously was kept off the New York Times bestseller list, where it would have ranked No. 8 and then No. 11 on the June 29 list.

D’Souza told the Examiner: “It’s their newspaper, and they have a right to rig their list anyway they want, but if they are doing it, people should know.”

He said the New York Times list is important to boosting sales.

“It matters to be on it,” he said.

The book will be on the Times July 13 list, however, at No. 17.

The movie America, which has been given a rare “A+” CinemaScore by audiences, opened in 1,105 theaters nationwide to roughly $4 million over the five-day July 4 holiday weekend.
This is probably why the pull order happened. Costco supports Obama, and he loves them in return, using the store for campaign props. According to the Washington Examiner, Costco founder Jim Sinegal hosted fundraisers for Obama and gave him the maximum contribution for both elections.

People have been threatening to cancel their membership and never do business with Costco on their Facebook page.

"Border Insecurity At Its Best" Illegal Aliens Given Bus Tickets Paid For By Taxpayer Dollars

This is what is going on on the Texas border that the "mainstream media" is not reporting, and a few brave Border Patrol agents are speaking out about.

The videos look like they were shot by a good friend of this blog, Brandon Darby at Breitbart Texas, and the story was posted at Independent Journal Review (h/t Jim Thompson at FreeRepublic).
What happens to the illegal immigrants caught crossing the border? That question was answered with the release of this video, captured at the Laredo, Texas, Greyhound bus station over the weekend.

Hector Garza, a Border Patrol agent and spokesperson for the National Border Patrol Council Local 2455 spoke with Breitbart News about how the federal government is handling the influx of people pouring over the border.

“The majority of these people crossed the border illegally and were then dropped off here at the bus station, so they could continue to their final destination, and that destination is an American city near you,” said Garza.
This right here is border insecurity at its best. Our border is not patrolled, it’s not being secured… our federal government is releasing thousands and thousands of illegal aliens into our communities.”
According to Garza, the bus tickets they are issued are paid for by taxpayer money. The illegal immigrants are also issued notices to appear in court at a future date. Approximately 95% of them never return for court proceedings.

Here’s a look at what it’s like inside the station:

I'm also aware of some people who have ranchland in South Texas (including a family friend), who have had their fences cut and property trespassed on by illegal aliens crossing into the country.

Meanwhile, Obama could care less, and has blown off Texas Governor Rick Perry's request to view the chaos at the border. All Obama cares about is more donations to the Democrat Party.

The Left's Hobby Lobby Hysteria

Last night on Hannity, Dana Loesch did a great job of educating the former President of the NAGs (National Association of Gals) President, Patricia Ireland. The clip is important to watch because it illustrates how liberals and "feminists" have done nothing but engaged in demagoguery and dishonesty about the Hobby Lobby decision from the Supreme Court on Monday.

If one didn't know better (and judging from the lack of media reporting it, it was hard to know this) Hobby Lobby provides access to sixteen (16) forms of birth control in their health care plans. They, however, choose not to cover abortions or "morning after" abortion pills due to the family who owns it having a moral objection to abortion.

If you will recall, the one issue that kept the phony "Blue Dog Democrats" (ie Bart Stupak) from voting for Obamacare was to prevent abortions being covered by the law. So, Obama took out his magic pen and supposedly took it out, until HHS put it back in after the law was passed.

Liberals and "feminists" (who really don't care about equal rights or betterment for women) have been engaging in an endless orgy of hysteria, dishonesty and demagoguery since Monday.  Liberal Democrats, like Obama, "Dingy" Harry Reid, and that shrieking Hadrian Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (aka Thunderlips) are using this to keep pushing their "War on Women" victimization crap in an election year, while the GOP leadership is spooked of their own shadow again.

Let's be clear what this is all about.  It's all about abortion.  That is why modern feminism is, as far as an ideology, the biggest load of bovine excrement in the political discussion today.  Because it does not promote equality of women or women being individuals.  It is about, like all modern Leftism, "groupthink." Women are supposed to care only about having the freedom to abort their babies, not follow their individual conscience or desires.  Those who think for themselves are "traitors" to the cause. All these "feminists" want to blast men for "making women's reproductive decisions," which further shows what a lie modern feminism is, as it is nothing but reverse sexism and an ideology of anger toward men.

"They're forcing their religious views on people," the Left shrieks. Not quite.  No one is forcing people to work at Hobby Lobby or shop there. How many female employees are complaining about their benefits?

So who is forcing their views on America? It's not Hobby Lobby. It is the liberals and their feminist fringe, that's who!  This whole case boils down to abortion, the sacred, blood sacrament of the religion known as liberalism and forcing compliance of it upon everyone.  In the process of doing it, the Left uses lies to play on emotions of women and cast them as victims in their "us vs. them" divisiveness, all for political gain. Liberals and Democrats do this with any group. They've done it with minorities, they've done with with Muslims after 9/11, and they do it with women--you're the victims and were here for you. Pit one group against other, it's the liberal playbook.

Finally, lets come boil it down to something that doesn't seem to exist anymore...personal responsibility. If you don't want me making your "reproductive decisions," then you shouldn't look at me and ask me to pay for it. Instead, ask the guy who got you pregnant to be responsible and pay for it, or, better yet, to pay for the birth control before you engage in the act.

And if he's not willing to take that responsibility, then you shouldn't be sleeping with a loser like that in the first place!
