IRS Scandal Widens: Almost 90 Agents Involved In Targeting Conservatives

Just a couple of rogue agents?  Not anymore.

Gateway Pundit has the latest rundown of what more we're learning in the IRS scandal.
** Nearly 500 conservative groups targeted
** At least 5 pro-Israel groups targeted
** Constitutional groups targeted
** Groups that criticized Obama administration were targeted
** At least two pro-life groups targeted
** A Texas voting-rights group was targeted
** Conservative activists and businesses were targeted
Now add to that 88 IRS employees took part in this targeting of conservatives.

Here's more. When they're not acting as the political gestapo of the Obama Regime, IRS employees are using taxpayer dollars to make little video projects, like the Star Trek one that surfaced earlier this year (Examiner).

In the latest black eye to the Internal Revenue Service, the agency provided Congress on Friday with another video featuring its employees, this one showing about a dozen of them dancing on a stage.
The video of the IRS workers practicing their dance moves, which lasts just under three minutes, comes weeks after it was revealed that agency workers produced two other videos, parodying the "Star Trek" and "Gilligan's Island" TV shows. It also comes with the IRS under fire by lawmakers and the Obama administration for targeting conservative groups applying for tax-exempt status for tough scrutiny.
All three videos were provided in response to a request by a senior member of the House Ways and Means Committee, Rep. Charles Boustany, R-La.
"The outrage toward the IRS is only growing stronger," said Boustany, who chairs the Ways and Means oversight subcommittee. "Clearly this is an agency where abuse and waste is the norm and not the exception."
And the big question that's still unanswered: Why was the IRS director visiting the White House almost 160 times?

Obama Regime Threatens Those Who Attack Islam On Social Media

Probably explains why he's surrendering the War on Terror (Flopping Aces, via FreeRepublic).
So, do you remember this Obama edict?
The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.
Apparently he meant that as well.
DOJ: Social Media Posts Trashing Muslims May Violate Civil Rights
In its latest effort to protect followers of Islam in the U.S. the Obama Justice Department warns against using social media to spread information considered inflammatory against Muslims, threatening that it could constitute a violation of civil rights.
The move comes a few years after the administration became the first in history to dispatch a U.S. Attorney General to personally reassure Muslims that the Department of Justice (DOJ) is dedicated to protecting them. In the unprecedented event, Attorney General Eric Holder assured a San Francisco-based organization (Muslim Advocates) that urges members not to cooperate in federal terrorism investigations that the “us versus them” environment created by the U.S. government, law enforcement agents and fellow citizens is unacceptable and inconsistent with what America is all about.
“Muslims and Arab Americans have helped build and strengthen our nation,” Holder said after expressing that he is “grateful” to have Muslims as a partner in promoting tolerance, ensuring public safety and protecting civil rights. He also vowed to strengthen “crucial dialogue” between Muslim and Arab-American communities and law enforcement.
Evidently that was a precursor of sorts for an upcoming Tennessee event (“Public Disclosure in a Diverse Society”) that will feature the region’s top DOJ official, who serves as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and an FBI representative. The goal is to increase awareness and understanding that American Muslims are not the terrorists some have made them out to be in social media and other circles, according to a local newspaper report. The June 4 powwow is sponsored by the American Muslim Advisory Council of Tennessee.
The area’s top federal prosecutor, Bill Killian, will address a topic that most Americans are likely unfamiliar with, even those well versed on the Constitution; that federal civil rights laws can actually be violated by those who post inflammatory documents aimed at Muslims on social media. “This is an educational effort with civil rights laws as they play into freedom of religion and exercising freedom of religion,” Killian says in the local news story. “This is also to inform the public what federal laws are in effect and what the consequences are.”
The DOJ political appointee adds in the article that the upcoming presentation will also focus on Muslim culture with a special emphasis on the fact that the religion is no different from others, even though some in the faith have committed terrorist acts, Christians have done the same. As an example he offers that the worst terrorist attack in the U.S. prior to 9/11 was committed by American Christians in Oklahoma City. He also mentioned the Wisconsin Sikh temple shooting last year in which another Christian, an American white supremacist, fatally shot six people and wounded four others.
“Some of the finest people I’ve met are Muslims,” Killian said, adding later: “We want to inform everybody about what the law is, but more importantly, we want to provide what the law means to Muslims, Hindus and every other religion in the country. It’s why we came here in the first place. In England, they were using Christianity to further their power in government. That’s why the First Amendment is there.”
Additionally , via Ace
Special speakers for the event will be Bill Killian, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and Kenneth Moore, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Knoxville Division.
Sponsor of the event is the American Muslim Advisory Council of Tennessee — a 15-member board formed two years ago when the General Assembly was considering passing legislation that would restrict those who worship Sharia Law, which is followed by Muslims.
Killian and Moore will provide input on how civil rights can be violated by those who post inflammatory documents targeted at Muslims on social media.
“This is an educational effort with civil rights laws as they play into freedom of religion and exercising freedom of religion,” Killian told The News Monday. “This is also to inform the public what federal laws are in effect and what the consequences are.”
Killian said the presentation will also focus on Muslim culture and how, that although terrorist acts have been committed by some in the faith, they are no different from those in other religions.
But I guess mockery of Jesus Christ or of Christians is OK. After all, we've seen how the Obama Gestapo (aka IRS) attacked the Rev. Billy Graham's organization because of an ad he took out to vote on Biblical principles.

This is more than just a First Amendment issue, this, like the IRS, is a violation of the Fourteenth Amendment, because one group of people are being offered protection that is denied to others.

Which poses the question. Did the FBI, Homeland Insecurity and the Department of Injustice ignore the warnings about the Boston Bombers because they went out of their way to "protecting" them because of their "religion"?

Obama Regime Cuts Meals For Troops In Afghanistan, Yet Lois Lerner Gets Taxpayer Funded "Suspension"

Is this more of the "pain" that the Obama Regime wants to inflict on America due to the sequester?

And it's being done to our troops in harms way (NBC News, via Gateway Pundit).
Marines at Camp Leatherneck in Afghanistan will lose a key daily meal starting Saturday, causing some to forgo a hot breakfast and others to work six-plus hours without refueling on cooked food, according to Marines at the base and Marine Corps officials.
The midnight ration service — known there as “midrats” — supplies breakfast to Marines on midnight-to-noon shifts and dinner to Marines who are ending noon-to-midnight work periods.
It’s described as one of the few times the Marines at Leatherneck can be together in one place.
The base, which is located in Afghanistan’s southwestern Helmand Province, flanked by Iran and Pakistan, also will remove its 24-hour sandwich bar. It plans to replace the dishes long offered at midnight with pre-packaged MREs, said Marine Corps Lt. Col. Cliff Gilmore, who has been deployed in Afghanistan since February.
The moves, though unpopular with many Marines on the ground and their families back home, are emblematic of the massive drawdown of American troops in Afghanistan and the dismantling of U.S. military facilities. More than 30,000 U.S. service members will leave Afghanistan in coming months as the U.S. prepares to hand responsibility for security to Afghan forces in 2014.
While no Marine at Camp Leatherneck agreed to speak on the record, many are privately angry about the hit on base morale.
“This boils my skin. One of my entire shifts will go 6.5 hours without a meal. If we need to cut back on money I could come up with 100 other places,”
one Leatherneck-based Marine wrote in an email this week to his wife and shared with NBC News. (The Marine declined to speak on the record.) “Instead, we will target the biggest contributor to morale. I must be losing my mind. What is our senior leadership thinking? I just got back from flying my ass off and in a few days, I will not have a meal to replenish me after being away for over 9 hours.”

This is being done by their Commander in Chief for revenge because, like a petulant child, he doesn't get the tax increases he wants.

Yet, Lois Lerner, the libtard at the IRS who made a career of targeting conservatives and conservative/Tea Party organizations, is currently on "leave with pay" from that political bureaucracy. We call that a "paid vacation."  Why don't we fire her, strip her of her bonuses and salary and give it to these Marines.

Better yet, let's get rid of the IRS all together and there's enough money for our troops and the White House tours!

Former IRS Director Had More White House Visits Than Cabinet Members (Bet It Wasn't For Coffee, Either)

The Daily Caller has found that former IRS Director Douglas Shulman visited the Obama White House more than any other cabinet member.

A total of 157 times.
Shulman’s extensive access to the White House first came to light during his testimony last week before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Shulman gave assorted answers when asked why he had visited the White House 118 times during the period that the IRS was targeting tea party and conservative nonprofits for extra scrutiny and delays on their tax-exempt applications.
By contrast, Shulman’s predecessor Mark Everson only visited the White House once during four years of service in the George W. Bush administration and compared the IRS’s remoteness from the president to “Siberia.” But the scope of Shulman’s White House visits — which strongly suggests coordination by White House officials in the campaign against the president’s political opponents — is even more striking in comparison to the publicly recorded access of Cabinet members.
So why would the IRS director be visiting the White House more than any other cabinet member?  When his agency, the IRS, is targeting conservative, Tea Party, Christian, and (now being revealed) pro-Israel groups who oppose the Obama Regime's policies, you can bet those White House visits weren't for the coffee.

We also found out today that a poll shows 76 percent of Americans want a special prosecutor to investigate this IRS targeting.  There should be one, especially since I really don't have confidence in the House GOP to adequately investigate this.  It appears the public gets this too.  This isn't about politics. What people, aside from a small number of idiots, realize is that this kind of abuse of power, if left unchecked, can be done by any side of the political spectrum. When that happens, there is no such thing as free political expression (as guaranteed by the First Amendment) or equal protection under the law (guaranteed by the Fourteenth Amendment).

Michele Bachmann Will Not Seek Re-election In 2014

Posted on her website, and received video via e-mail.

I'm sorry to see her go, but I can understand how difficult it must be when you have to seek re-election and get no support from a party whose leadership is full of squishes who won't support her.

I hope Michele finds a way to keep active in fighting for our nation, in calling out the Obama Regime and also challenging the RINO establishment.

Memorial Day - 2013

To those who served our nation, and sacrificed their lives, so that we might enjoy the freedom and way of life too many of us take for granted.

Among those who gave their lives for our nation, I also salute my maternal grandfather, whom I paid tribute back in 2009 and just updated with more information I'd received after a visit back home last year.

The GOP Doesn't Need A Lecture From A RINO Loser Like "Viagra" Bob Dole

Losing 1996 GOP candidate Bob Dole shot his mouth off again today (Washington ComPost).
The current GOP ought to be “closed for repairs” because it lacks a vision and is unable to strike deals with Democrats, Dole said during an appearance on “Fox News Sunday”.

The Kansas Republican said he was disturbed by his party’s obstructionist behavior on Capitol Hill.  “It seems almost unreal that we can’t get together on a budget or legislation,” he said.
President Obama also deserves blame for failing to reach out to Republicans in his first term and cultivate better relationships across party lines, Dole said.

Asked whether he would be welcomed by the Republican Party today, Dole said, “I doubt it. Reagan wouldn’t have made it, certainly Nixon wouldn’t have made it, because he had ideas. We might have made it, but I doubt it.”
Are you kidding me? When Dole, whom the GOP establishment anointed the "next in line" to run for President in 1996, he told a meeting of the RNC, "if that's what you want, I'll be another Ronald Reagan."  Dole, like most Beltway Establishment RINOs, can't stand the Tea Party and warned fellow losing candidate Mittens Romney away from them.

But you can't be a conservative like Reagan when you've made your whole career in Washington as a "deal maker." Which means, RINOs like Dole have no principles to stand on.

Of course, none of these RINOs like Dole, McLame or their fans in the liberal activist media, never lecture the Democrats about moderation, do they?

Just Like The "Tea Party Called Us N-Word" Lie, Democrats Attack Tea Party Protesters With Another Bit Of Slander

This past Tuesday, patriots and concerned citizens who make up the Tea Party took part in rallies across the nation at IRS locations to protest the targeting of their groups by the IRS.

It wasn't enough that the Department of Homeland Insecurity, who have written documents calling Tea Party members and veterans potential terrorists (while giving deference to pro-Shariah law Muslims) had a physical presence at these rallies to "guard" the IRS, the Democrat Party got involved.

This past Friday, the Democrat Senate Campaign Committee and Guy Cecil, sent out a fundraising e-mail where they slandered the Tea Party as Nazis (Gateway Pundit).

“At one Tea Party rally this week, mobs chanted “Waterboard Obama, Waterboard Hillary!”
At another, radicals waved signs with Nazi symbols.
The only problem was, it never happened.

There was one sign in all the photos from Tuesday's protests that said "IRSS, Fix the Mess." The SS was shaped in the SS insignia, signifying the IRS acted like stormtrooopers in their effort to target the Tea Party and other patriot groups, while not giving the same treatment to liberal organizations applying for the same 501c4 status.

Haven't we been down this road before?

After the Tea Party movement sprung up after Rick Santelli's epic rant on CNBC in Feb. 2009 (though its roots were planted during the Bush attempt at illegal alien amnesty and the first TARP bailout), Democrats and their media allies attacked these private citizens with the gay slur "teabagger." They were called "un-American" by Botox Nancy Pelosi and Stingy Hoyer, and Pelosi also used the "they were carrying swastikas on their signs slur."

Then there was the slander of these patriots as being motivated by racism, which reached its apex on March 20, 2010, as the Congress was in the process of scheming and making deals with the Obama Regime to pass the job-killing, freedom-killing Obamacare.  While Tea Party members protested outside the Cannon Building and US Capitol buildings, a group of black liberal congressmen walked through the crowd to the Capitol, and later back to the Cannon Building.

They claimed they were called the "n-word" fifteen times.

They lied.

Many cameras, including one from this blogger, were there that day and filmed the congressmen. There was no slur yelled.  But the lie would have stuck had it not been for the late Andrew Breitbart, who took on these lying liars with a $100,000 challenge (see this section in a 20 minute preview of Hating Breitbart, which is now out on DVD and in theatres).

Just like the Congressional Black Caucus did, Guy Cecil and the DSCC are lying, because support for the Tea Party is rising after how this government under this Regime targeted them with government resources in an effort to suppress their votes during the 2012 Presidential election.

Guy Cecil and the Democrats should apologize publicly and retract their slanderous lie.

Lois Lerner Participated In IRS Harassment Of Tea Party Groups

No wonder she wanted to plead the Fifth, but she's not innocent (Human Events).

But now National Review has uncovered documentation proving Lerner was up to her neck in the operation, over nine months after she claims she learned about it:
Lerner, the director of the IRS exempt organizations office in Washington, D.C., signed cover letters to 15 conservative organizations currently represented by the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) between in March and April of 2012. The letters, such as this one sent to the Ohio Liberty Council on March 16, 2012, informed the groups applying for tax-exempt status that the IRS was “unable to make a final determination on your exempt status without additional information,” and included a list of detailed questions of the kind that a Treasury inspector general’s audit found to be inappropriate. Some of the groups to which Lerner sent letters are still awaiting approval.
I guess she could try the “What am I signing, Radar?” mutation of the Incompetence Defense, and claim this stuff was shoved under her nose by more of those rogue low-level employees, who tricked her into signing it without reading it.  I’ve been wondering if we might hear that one from Attorney General Eric Holder, too.
The intimidation factor of a top-ranking IRS official’s signature on these letters is huge:
“One thing is clear: this correspondence shows [Lerner’s] direct involvement in the scheme,” wrote Jay Sekulow, chief counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice. “Further, sending a letter from the top person in the IRS Exempt Organization division to a small Tea Party group also underscores the intimidation used in this targeting ploy.”
Sekulow’s organization has received complaints from conservative organizations who say this abusive behavior continued long after IRS officials claim it was halted, in May 2012.
No wonder Lois Lerner took the Fifth Amendment, instead of testifying!  There’s so much she desperately needs to not talk about.

Issa needs to bring her back and ask her about this. I've even heard a judge could force her to testify and jail her if she refuses.

Oh, and Lerner was put on administrative leave...with pay.  Only in the federal government can they get away with the sleazy garbage that the Enron folks got put in jail for.

FLASHBACK: Holder Used Dept. Of InJustice To Go After Romney Donor Sheldon Adelson

This is back from August of last year, right before the GOP convention and as the 2012 Presidential Race was heating up (original source LA Times, link broken. Fox News).
The Justice Department is investigating whether Las Vegas Sands Corp., owned by high-profile Republican donor Sheldon Adelson, broke federal law by failing to report millions of dollars of potentially laundered money transferred to its casinos by two high-rolling Las Vegas gamblers, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The U.S. attorney's office in Los Angeles is investigating deposits made in the mid-2000s by a Mexican pharmaceutical businessman, later indicted for drug trafficking in 2007, and a California executive with Fry's Electronics, who later pleaded guilty to taking illegal kickbacks, the newspaper said, citing lawyers and federal officials working on the case.

The Journal said there were no indications that the investigation included actions by Adelson, Sands' chief executive and a major political donor for the Republican Party. Adelson has pledged to spend as much as $100 million to help Republican candidates in this election cycle.

Federal investigators have begun focusing on casinos amid concerns that the industry's lax financial systems could be used for money laundering and other illegal activities, according to Justice Department officials cited by the Journal.
Days earlier, the DCCC had to apologize for making the false claim that Adelson profited from prostitution at his resorts in China.

Nine months later, we now know that the IRS abused its power to give scrutiny to Tea Party, patriot, Christian and Jewish groups that applied for 501c4 statuses, asking intrusive questions, in an effort to chill their political activism.

I think it's more than a coincidence that Holder also went after one of the GOP and Mitt Romney's top donors?

2007: Obama Called For Bush Attorney General To Resign For "Politiciziing" Justice Department...When Will Obama Call For Holder's Resignation?

What a hypocrite!

Back when he was a presidential candidate in 2007, Richard Milhous Obama called for George W. Bush to get rid of his attorney general, Alberto Gonzales, because Gonzales had fired a couple of attorneys at the DOJ (which he was entitled to do).

Obama and the rest of the liberal Democrats claimed Gonzales had "politicized" the Justice Department (Breitbart.com).

Reminder: All Gonzales did was fired a few attorneys, which was perfectly in his right to do. Janet Reno fired all attorneys at the DOJ when she started her reign of terror.

But Eric Holder has:
Now last night we find that Holder approved a warrant against a Fox News reporter, James Rosen, for allegedly violating the Espionage Act, never mind there's no proof that Rosen was giving information to a foreign enemy.

Eric Holder has been the most partisan, racially polarizing attorney general in US history, and turned the blind eye of the Justice Department into the InJustice Department, where law enforcement is used to force Obama's tyrannical agenda.

Eric Holder needs to resign his position and investigated for any crimes committed as attorney general.  So when will you call for his resignation, Richard Milhous Obama?

Eric Holder Signed Off On Warrant Against Fox News' James Rosen (UPDATE: HuffPo Says Holder Should Go)

Tonight we've learned it was the racist and most partisan attorney general in US Hisotry, Eric Holder, who signed off on a search warrant against Fox News reporter James Rosen.

NBC News is actually breaking this story:
The disclosure of the attorney general’s role came as President Barack Obama, in a major speech on his counterterrorism policy, said Holder had agreed to review Justice Department guidelines governing investigations that involve journalists.
"I am troubled by the possibility that leak investigations may chill the investigative journalism that holds government accountable," Obama said. "Journalists should not be at legal risk for doing their jobs."
Rosen, who has not been charged in the case, was nonetheless the target of a search warrant that enabled Justice Department investigators to secretly seize his private emails after an FBI agent said he had "asked, solicited and encouraged … (a source) to disclose sensitive United States internal documents and intelligence information."
Obama's comments follow a firestorm of criticism that has erupted over disclosures that in separate investigations of leaks of classified information, the Justice Department had obtained private emails that Rosen exchanged with a source and the phone records of Associated Press reporters.
The phone records of Rosen's parents were also seized.

When the news came out about the AP reporters phone records being seized in violation of the Constitution (Fourth Amendment) by Holder's InJustice Department, people noted that Holder would be the one who would have to sign off on such a request.

Hell should be raised in Washington DC tomorrow. To think, as this fool Obama does, that Holder can  be trusted with reviewing these cases is like a fox guarding a hen house.

Eric Holder has abused his office and power and turned the law enforcement of the United States into a political weapon against the enemies of Richard Milhous Obama's Regime. Holder, who took part in an armed insurgency with a black supremacist group in college, has also sided with voter suppression, as in the New Black Panthers case. A radical like Holder, who sides with terrorists and plays racial politics, has no business being in charge of the nation's law enforcement.

So, all you good liberals out there who called for the firing of Bush's Attorney General Alberto Gonzales for firing a couple of  DOJ attorneys, I'm looking for you to call for Holder's dismissal as well.

And you too John McLame. You were so quick to attack a patriot like Donald Rumsfeld with "no confidence" letters you gave to the media. Where is your outrage at Eric Holder?

Eric Holder needs to go, and he needs to be investigated for any laws broken in relation to Fast and Furious, as well as the NBP voter intimidation case.

UPDATE: via Legal Insurrection, Huffington Compost is calling for Holder to go. Now it's bad when a liberal blog like HP is calling for you to hit the road.

St. Louis TV Reporter Who Wrote Of IRS Audit After Obama Interview Has Been Fired, Station Receives Backlash From Viewers

You might remember Larry Conners, a long-time reporter for KMOV in St. Louis, who wrote on Facebook how he received IRS audits after giving a tough interview to Richard Milhous Obama last year.

KMOV made Conners read a prepared statement retracting his Facebook post, took him off the air, and now, Dana Loesch writes that they have fired him as of yesterday.

After the firing of Conners, Loesch checked the Facebook page of KMOV and reported on the backlash the station is receiving.
Wow. Backlash is building after KMOV Channel 4 fired Larry Conners, an award-winning reporter whose career spanned 27 years, for posting an observation about the IRS scandal on his personal Facebook page.
Here are two screen grabs of just a few pushback comments from their heavily inundated Facebook page:

Conners is lawyered-up; next remote from the courtroom?

Man Who Knew Dead Boston Marathon Bomber Killed In FBI Shooting In Orlando, FL

News out of Orlando, FL, this morning as a Chechen man was fatally shot while undergoing questioning by the FBI (ClickOrlando.com via FreeRepublic.).

The fatal shooting happened just after midnight at 6022 Peregrine Avenue in the Windhover Apartments in Orlando.  Friends identified the man who was shot and killed as 26-year-old Ibragim Todashev.
"The agent encountered the suspect while conducting official duties. The suspect is deceased," FBI Special Agent Dave Couvertier told Local 6.
John Miller, the former FBI assistant director who now works for CBS News, says the FBI was trying to re-question Todashev at his apartment when "something went wrong."  Details of the incident have not yet been released.
The FBI has not confirmed the link to the Boston bombing, but Khusen Taramov, a friend of Todashev, told Local 6 that Todashev knew Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who was killed in a shootout with police near Boston days after the marathon bombing.
“Back when (Todashev) used to live in Boston, they used to hang out -- not hang out -- he knew him.  They met a few times because (Todashev) was a MMA fighter and (Tsarnaev) was a boxer.  They just knew each other.  That’s it,” said Taramov, who added that Todashev last spoke with Tsarnaev via phone more than a month ago.
Taramov adamantly stated that Todashev, who was arrested in Orlando earlier this month on battery charges, was not connected to the bombing.
"I know that for sure," he said.
Taramov said the FBI had been watching and following Todashev since Tsarnaev was identified as a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing.
“We had a feeling that a worse-case scenario, that something like (a shooting) is going to happen,” said Taramov, who added that Todashev had recently booked a plane ticket.
“He had a ticket to New York.  From there, he was going to go home,” he said.  “(The FBI was) pushing him to stay, saying, ‘We want to interview one last time.'"

Question is, why was he shot? Was he resisting arrest and pulled a gun on agents? Did he know a lot more about the bombing than is being suggested by his friends in the article? How close was this guy in Florida to the dead Boston bomber? Was he possibly a part of a "sleeper cell?"

First AP, Now Fox News' James Rosen? CBS' Sharyl Attkisson Says Her Computers Were Compromised

Richard Milhous Nixon only talked about and wished he could use the IRS against his political enemies, and he only wanted to spy on reporters.

Richard Milhous Obama's Regime is doing all the stuff Nixon only talked and dreamed about doing.

After hearing that AP had two months of phone records seized by the InJustice Department, we find out yesterday that Fox News Reporter James Rosen is being investigated by the same political motivated agency for allegedly violating the 1917 Esiponage Act.
The Justice Department spied extensively on Fox News reporter James Rosen in 2010, collecting his telephone records, tracking his movements in and out of the State Department and seizing two days of Rosen’s personal emails, the Washington Post reported on Monday.
In a chilling move sure to rile defenders of civil liberties, an FBI agent also accused Rosen of breaking anti-espionage law with behavior that—as described in the agent's own affidavit—falls well inside the bounds of traditional news reporting. (Disclosure: This reporter counts Rosen among his friends.)
UPDATE: Fox News responds with a blistering statement that asserts Rosen was "simply doing his job" in his role as "a member of what up until now has always been a free press.”
The revelations surfaced with President Barack Obama’s administration already under fire for seizing two months of telephone records of reporters and editors at the Associated Press. Obama last week said he makes “no apologies” for investigations into national security-related leaks. The AP's CEO, Gray Pruitt, said Sunday that the seizure was "unconstitutional."
The Obama administration has prosecuted twice as many leakers as all previous administrations combined.
“The president is a strong defender of the First Amendment and a firm believer in the need for the press to be unfettered in its ability to conduct investigative reporting and facilitate a free flow of information,” White House press secretary Jay Carney insisted last week. “He also, of course, recognizes the need for the Justice Department to investigate alleged criminal activity without undue influence.”
Yeah and it probably smells like a feedlot in the White House Press Room with all the bovine excrement that Carney is spewing.  We know tonight that the racist Eric Holder's InJustice Department also seized the phone records of James Rosen's parents.

It doesn't end there either. Sharyl Attkisson of CBS, who has been leading the pack in investigating Fast and Furious and Benghazi, said today her work and home computers have been compromised.

If Obama really believed in a free press, then why has his Regime labled Fox News (Rosen's employer) as "not a legitimate" news source and even tried to leave the Fox out of the press pool for one event. The hostility towards those who are willing to question the Regime, and their Propaganda Minister Carney is so bad that Les Kinsolving of WND and WCBM in Baltimore retired from covering the White House. Despite the fact he was the second most senior member of the WH Press Corps, Kinsolving said he'd "never experienced such oral censorship" under 14 press secretaries as he has under Carney.

Look how today, Carney slurred reporters as "birthers" because they were doing their jobs as journalists, and not acting like the Regime lapdogs.

Kirsten Powers, a Democrat, writes this must read "How Hope and Change Gave Way to Spying on the Press."

Remember when Tiny Tim Robbins famously talked about "a chill wind" blowing from the Bush White House at the start of the Iraq War?  Well, here it is under liberal Obama, a kind of Big Brother, Soviet-style spying on reporters.  And has anyone heard from Timmy?

What's She Hiding? IRS Official Lerner to Plead The Fifth

How convenient! (UK Daily Mail)
The Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday afternoon that Lois Lerner, who heads up the Internal Revenue Service's tax-exempt division, plans to invoke the Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in a hearing Wednesday before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Affairs.

The Fifth Amendment provides that U.S. citizens may not be compelled to offer testimony if telling the truth would incriminate them.

Lerner's defense lawyer, William W. Taylor III, wrote to the committee on Tuesday that his client would refuse to answer questions related to what she knew about the extra levels of scrutiny applied to conservative nonprofit organizations that applied for tax-exempt status beginning in 2010.

She also will decline to say why she didn’t disclose what she knew to Congress, according to the LA Times.

Lerner 'has not committed any crime or made any misrepresentation,' Taylor's letter read, 'but under the circumstances she has no choice but to take this course.'

He is asking the oversight committee to excuse Lerner from testifying, claiming that calling her in a congressional hearing would 'have no purpose other than to embarrass or burden her' since members would not expect her to answer questions.
If she has not committed a crime, what does she know that she is not willing to testify about?  Who is she trying to protect?

She should be called anyway to come before Congress just to get her on the record.

BOMBSHELL: Obama Met With IRS Union Head The DAY BEFORE Tea Party Was Targeted

PLUS: $92 Million In Bonuses Given To IRS By Regime

As mentioned earlier, "Fraud comes from the top."

This cannot be more than just a coincidence. From the American Spectator, via Gateway Pundit, a bombshell story that Richard Milhous Obama met with the head of the IRS union at the White House the day before the IRS began targeting Tea Party, patriot and other conservative groups.

According to the White House Visitors Log, provided here in searchable form by U.S. News and World Report, the president of the anti-Tea Party National Treasury Employees Union, Colleen Kelley, visited the White House at 12:30pm that Wednesday noon time of March 31st.

The White House lists the IRS union leader’s visit this way:

Kelley, Colleen Potus 03/31/2010 12:30

In White House language, “POTUS” stands for “President of the United States.”

The very next day after her White House meeting with the President, according to the Treasury Department’s Inspector General’s Report, IRS employees — the same employees who belong to the NTEU — set to work in earnest targeting the Tea Party and conservative groups around America. The IG report wrote it up this way:

April 1-2, 2010: The new Acting Manager, Technical Unit, suggested the need for a Sensitive Case Report on the Tea Party cases. The Determinations Unit Program Manager Agreed.

In short: the very day after the president of the quite publicly anti-Tea Party labor union — the union for IRS employees — met with President Obama, the manager of the IRS “Determinations Unit Program agreed” to open a “Sensitive Case report on the Tea party cases.” As stated by the IG report.

The NTEU is the 150,000 member union that represents IRS employees along with 30 other separate government agencies. Kelley herself is a 14-year IRS veteran agent. The union’s PAC endorsed President Obama in both 2008 and 2012, and gave hundreds of thousands of dollars in the 2010 and 2012 election cycles to anti-Tea Party candidates.

Putting IRS employees in the position of actively financing anti-Tea Party candidates themselves, while in their official positions in the IRS blocking, auditing, or intimidating Tea Party and conservative groups around the country.

The IG report contained a timeline prepared by examining internal IRS e-mails. The IG report did not examine White House Visitor Logs, e-mails, or phone records relating to the relationship between the IRS union, the IRS, and the White House.

In fact, this record in the White House Visitors Log of a 12:30 Wednesday, March 31, 2010 meeting between President Obama and the IRS union’s Kelley was not unusual.

On yet another occasion, Kelley’s presence at the White House was followed shortly afterwards by the President issuing Executive Order 13522. A presidential directive that gave the anti-Tea Party NTEU — the IRS union — a greater role in the day-to-day operation of the IRS than it had already — which was considerable.

Kelley is recorded as visiting the White House over a year earlier, listed in this fashion:

Kelley, Colleen Potus/Flotus 12/03/2009 18:30

The inclusion of “FLOTUS” — First Lady Michelle Obama — and the 6:30 pm time of the December event on this entry in the Visitors Log indicates this was the White House Christmas Party held that evening and written up here in the Chicago Sun-Times. The Sun-Times focused on party guests from the President’s home state of Illinois and did not mention Kelley. Notably, the Illinois guests, who are reported to have attended the same party as Kelley, included what the paper described as four labor “activists”: Dennis Gannon of the Chicago Federation of Labor, Tom Balanoff of the Service Employees International Union, Henry Tamarin of UNITE, and Ron Powell of the United Food and Commercial Workers.

Six days following Kelley’s attendance at the White House Christmas party with labor activists like herself, the President issued Executive Order 13522 (text found here, with an explanation here). The Executive Order, titled: “Creating Labor-Management Forums To Improve Delivery of Government Services” applied across the federal government and included the IRS. The directive was designed to:

Allow employees and unions to have pre-decisional involvement in all workplace matters….

However else this December 2009 Executive Order can be described, the directive was a serious grant of authority within the IRS to the powerful anti-Tea Party union. A union that by this time already had the clout to determine the rules for IRS employees, right down to who would be allowed a Blackberry or what size office the employee was entitled to. The same union that would shortly be doling out serious 2010 (and later 2012) campaign contributions to anti-Tea Party candidates with money supplied from IRS employees. The union, as noted last week here in this space, already has the authority to decide all manner of IRS matters, right down to who does and does not get a Blackberry.

It is the same union whose IRS employee-members were being urged in 2012 by Senate Democrats (Chuck Schumer, Al Franken, Max Baucus, and others) to target Tea Party and other conservative groups.

There's more:

While potentially explosive now, in fact the Obama Administration hadn’t been in office a month before Kelley was boasting of the IRS union’s influence in the White House.

In a February 15, 2009 interview given to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (Pittsburgh is Kelley’s home town), there was this question from the PG reporter, with the now Washington-based Kelley boasting as below, key point in bold print:

Q: Has the Obama staff been receptive?

A: Yes. We have worked with the transition team, given them suggestions; and throughout the campaign, President Obama talked about working with the federal employees and unions. He’s recognized the contributions federal employees make. I was just at the White House (Jan. 30) while he was signing some executive orders to undo some things the prior administration did.

Catch that?

The boast?

“I was just at the White House…”

Which is to say, the election of 2008, in which the union had endorsed Obama, was no sooner over than the head of the IRS union had “worked with the transition team” and “given them suggestions.” Literally ten days after the Obama January 20 inaugural in 2009 — January 30 the article notes — Kelley was boasting that “I was just at the White House while he (the President) was signing some executive orders to undo some things the prior administration did.”

And what did Kelley see as the IRS union’s relationship with the White House she had already visited ten days into the President’s first term?

Kelley responded candidly, again with the bold print added for emphasis:

“We are looking for a return to what we used to call partnership. I don’t really care what it’s called. For me, it’s about collaboration.”

Catch those words?

Collaboration. Partnership.

But there's more, writing at Townhall.com, Morgan Brittany from Politichicks (and yes, the former star of Dallas) writes that the Obama Regime rewarded IRS agents with $92 million in bonuses (via FreeRepublic).

Next we find out that during the four year period between 2009 and 2012 more than $92 million in bonuseswere handed out by IRS executives to thousands of tax agency employees.  These bonuses were mostly given out to managers and executives for “performance based incentives”.

So let me get this straight.  These people were paid a salary by the taxpayers, and then given a bonus by the taxpayers to reward them for harassing and intimidating the taxpayers.  Ok, got it.  There are over 97,000 employees of the IRS, 16,910 of them got some sort of bonus for “a job well done”.  The largest bonus went to former IRS Commissioner Richard E. Byrd who received $60,270.

Digging a little deeper we find out that Lois Lerner, the woman who told us publicly that her agency was improperly singling out conservative and other groups including religious organizations, received more than $42,000 in bonuses over that four year period.  She ADMITTED wrongdoing and yet was rewarded once again with OUR money!

But the best is yet to come.  Sarah Hall Ingram who was in charge of tax-exempt organizations while the Tea Party and conservative groups were being targeted has conveniently been relocated within the IRS and now is in charge of the IRS office responsible for overseeing Obamacare.  Promoted for a job well done!  Joseph Grant, the executive who seems to be the one taking the fall for Ingram during that time is now resigning his post. He took over for Ingram when she was promoted.  During the years 2010-2012 he received three bonuses totaling $83,950 in addition to his salary of $177,000.  Job well done Joe!

During the years that Ingram was overseeing the tax-exempt division she received bonuses totaling $103,390 in addition to her salary which was raised from $172,500 to $177,000 during that time.  In 2009 she received $7,000 in bonus money:   (I guess she was just having her people gather names.)  In 2010 it ramped up to $34,440.  (Must be when the IRS agents started harassing their targets.)  She took home an extra $35,400 in 2011, (delay, delay, and delay those applications for conservative groups.)  0 conservative groups with Tea Party or 9/12 in their name were approvedfor tax-exempt status in 2011 therefore, she receives a huge bonus.  Then in 2012 she received a $26,550 bonus.  She probably got less that year because the Tea Party groups had been stopped and the election was in November.  The damage had been done and she reaped the rewards.

Mission accomplished.  The IRS succeeded in shutting down the opposition and they were all high-fived and handsomely rewarded.

The investigations, including a select committee and special counsel, need to be appointed and the White House needs to be investigated for not just the IRS flap, but BenghaziGate as well.

This is beyond Watergate.  The White House and Obama need to let America know what they knew and when they knew it.

WOW! Liberal Bob Schieffer Blasts WH Comms Director "This Is Same Approach Nixon Administration Took"

I'd posted video of White House Communications Director, Dan Pfeiffer, telling Chris Wallace of Fox News that what Richard Milhous Obama was doing during the night of 9/11/12 during the Benghazi attack was "largely irrelevant."

In looking around the Internet, "largely irrelevant" was the talking point that Pfeiffer was passing around in order to hypnotize the public watching the Sunday shows.

But one Sunday host wasn't buying the White House's snake oil, liberal and usual Obama apologist Bob Schieffer of See BS News (The Other McCain).

“It looks like they’ve lost Bob Schieffer,” says John Hoge, which might be a slight exaggeration. Schieffer is a liberal, but he’s also a veteran Washington journalist who has seen enough scandals to know what a scandal looks like, and he was having none of the Jedi mind trick — “These are not the scandals you were looking for. Move along.” — from Obama adviser Dan Pfeiffer today. Right off the bat, Pfeiffer tried to cast the argument in partisan terms, which every scandal-plagued politician does, claiming that any suggestion of wrongdoing is a manufactured artifice, the creation of one’s political opponents:
“[T]he Republican playbook here . . . they don’t have a positive agenda, try to drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped up hearings and false allegations.”
Schieffer was highly dubious of this excuse, and reminded Pfeiffer of how familiar his excuse-making sounded:
I don’t want to compare this in anyway to Watergate. I do not think this is Watergate by any stretch. But you weren’t born then, I would guess, but I have to tell you that is exactly the approach that the Nixon administration took. They said these are all second-rate things. We don’t have time for this. We have to devote our time to the people’s business. You are taking exactly the same line that they did.
Exactly right. Bob Schieffer was born in 1937, he was working for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram the day JFK was shot, and he’s not likely to be impressed by a 37-year-old “senior advisor.” And when it came to Benghazi, Schieffer didn’t let Pfeiffer bulldoze him:
The bottom line is what [Susan Rice] told the American people [Sept. 16] bore no resemblance to what had happened on the ground in an incident where four Americans were killed. . . .[T]hat was just PR, that was just a PR plan to send out somebody who didn’t know anything about what had happened. Why did you do that? Why didn’t the Secretary of State come and tell us what they knew and if you knew nothing say we don’t know yet? Why didn’t White House Chief of Staff come out? I mean I would, and I mean this is no disrespect to you, why are you here today? Why isn’t the White House Chief of Staff here to tell us what happened?

Now, judging from his tone, I think Schieffer was really trying to be generous to the Obama Regime..."I really don't want to tell you this, I don't want to believe this is the same, but you're acting like the guy we took down almost 40 years ago."

And Schieffer is right.  Here is an example from Nixon's 24 minute Oval Office address from April 30, 1973. Key point comes around 13.19:

It is also essential that we not be so distracted by events such as this that we neglect the vital work before us, before this Nation, before America, at a time of critical importance to America and the world.
Since March, when I first learned that the Watergate affair might in fact be far more serious than I had been led to believe, it has claimed far too much of my time and my attention. Whatever may now transpire in the case, whatever the actions of the grand jury, whatever the outcome of any eventual trials, I must now turn my full attention—and I shall do so—once again to the larger duties of this office. I owe it to this great office that I hold, and I owe it to you—to my country.
I know that as Attorney General, Elliot Richardson will be both fair and he will be fearless in pursuing this case wherever it leads. I am confident that with him in charge, justice will be done.
There is vital work to be done toward our goal of a lasting structure of peace in the world—work that cannot wait, work that I must do.

Nixon did the same in a similar speech on August 15, 1973 (beginning around 4:30):

Let me turn now to an issue that is important above all else and that is critically affecting your life today and will affect your life and your children’s life in the years to come.
After 12 weeks and 2 million words of televised testimony, we have reached a point at which a continued, backward-looking obsession with Watergate is causing this Nation to neglect matters of far greater importance to all of the American people.
We must not stay so mired in Watergate that we fail to respond to challenges of surpassing importance to America and the world. We cannot let an obsession with the past destroy our hopes for the future.
Legislation vital to your health and well-being sits unattended on the Congressional calendar. Confidence at home and abroad in our economy, our currency, our foreign policy is being sapped by uncertainty. Critical negotiations are taking place on strategic weapons and on troop levels in Europe that can affect the security of this Nation and the peace of the world long after Watergate is forgotten. Vital events are taking place in Southeast Asia which could lead to a tragedy for the cause of peace.
These are matters that cannot wait. They cry out for action now, and either we, your elected representatives here in Washington, ought to get on with the jobs that need to be done for you—or every one of you ought to be demanding to know why.
The time has come to turn Watergate over to the courts, where the questions of guilt or innocence belong. The time has come for the rest of us to get on with the urgent business of our Nation.

And then we all know why Nixon thought it was important to "get on with the urgent business of our Nation," and why we couldn't have access to those tapes. Isn't that why the Obama Regime is so anxious for us to MoveOn.org from looking at BenghaziGate, the IRS scandal and the bugging of AP, because what's below the surface is the most damning?

As quoted yesterday from Andrew McCarthy's piece on BenghaziGate:
Fraud flows from the top down, not the mid-level up. Mid-level officials in the White House and the State Department do not call the shots — they carry out orders.
Isn't it interesting that the Obama Regime will "fire" IRS officials who are already planning to leave, but are defending the person in charge of this and who will now enforce Obamacare?

Second Amendment Activists Need To Stay Far, Far Away From Adam Kokesh

I've been meaning to chine in on this, ever since hearing that Iraq Veterans Against The War activist Adam Kokesh has announced plans to hold a march from Virginia into Washington DC with loaded weapons to protest their gun laws.

Adam Kokesh, (on right) at March 2009 so-called "anti-war" rally in Washington DC

Michelle Malkin wrote more about IVAW last week. For those interested in finding out more about Kokesh's and IVAW's history, visit my good friend Jonn Lilyea and the crew at This Ain't Hell.

So I'm mentioning Kokesh today because, Jonn at TAH reports Kokesh is up to his usual trick of getting arrested to protest some law he doesn't like.  This time, it has to do with legalizing pot.
Earlier today, a post was made on Adam Kokesh's official Facebook page that he had been arrested in Philadelphia during a "Smoke Down Prohibition" event. Kokesh has attended all four previous "Smoke Down Prohibition" events and was continuing this trend by participating in the fifth today. The Facebook post reads as follows:
Adam has been arrested and is in jail in Philly... I can personally testify that he hadn't even smoked yet... everyone please phone bomb the philly police and jail phone lines and demand adam be released amd able to make contact with us... other protesters were actually smoking and released after arrest but adam was taken away in a white chevy suburban... phone bomb them now!!! --- Brother Lucas
Another post was made just a few minutes ago which provides a phone number to contact:
Phone bomb 2-5 XXX-XXXX and demand Adam get a phone call and that he be released... we have yet to be in contact with him about 2 hours into it... I will keep everyone posted as I get more details! One love - Brotha Lucas
Adam is the person behind the planned armed march on Washington, D.C on July 4th, 2013.
But who goes to pot rally and doesn’t expect to be arrested? It’s an illegal drug, for Pete’s sake. You can argue whether it should be legal or not, but it’s illegal now, so you’re going to be arrested for engaging in consuming the drug. The hippies claim that Kokesh didn’t have any pot on him when he was arrested, but in the video at the Facebook link you can clearly hear him urging people to fire up their doobies as the cops move through the crowd.
Of course, I lay all of this at the feet of the District of Colombia’s judicial system. Kokesh has been arrested countless times in the District and the judges have all let him off scot-free. He was arrested for putting anti-war posters up in a national park despite police warnings, he scaled barriers to keep protesters off of Capitol grounds.
Kokesh put up racist, anti-Muslim posters on George Washington University campus and signed the posters with the name of a conservative student organization. The University president vowed that he would make arrests and take action against the conservative students, until Kokesh admitted that he had done it, and then the entire matter was dropped.
No judge has the testicular fortitude to actually punish Kokesh, and like a child, he ups the ante everytime, but the government won’t set boundaries for him. So I hope they’re pleased with the creature that they’ve created with their gutless reaction to the man.
This is not who Second Amendment activists need to align themselves with, because Adam Kokesh is not an authentic supporter of the right to keep and bear arms. Kokseh is nothing but a militant rabble-rouser, always breaking some kind of law to get more attention for himself.

So you've been warned.

Woodward: Obama Didn't Tell The Truth On Benghazi

From RNC Research. Bob Woodward of Watergate fame again hones in on the Obama Regime's changing narrative on Benghazi.

Wonder if Woodward, besides getting another screaming message from inside the White House, will be in line for a tax audit by the IRS.

WH Comms Director Dan Pfieffer: "Irrelevant Fact" Where Obama Was On Night Of Benghazi Attack

From RNC Research, via Twitter. Dan Pfieffer, the White House Communications Director, said on Fox News Sunday that the question of where Richard Milhous Obama was is an "irrelevant fact."

Pfieffer called the question about where Obama was "a series of conspiracy theories" being put forth by Republicans, additionally whitewashing the events of Benghazi on 9/11/12 as "a horrible tragedy."

No Pfieffer, this was not just a "horrible tragedy!" It was an attack by Islamic terrorists on Americans on the anniversary of 9/11, a date your Regime has tried to revise into some day of national service. Four Americans lost their lives, but they don't matter because the most important thing to Obama was keeping and gaining more power. Power is all that matters to liberals, and they'll act like a criminal organization in order to get more of it and keep it. The fact you keep referring to these important questions as "conspiracy theories" just shows you're trying to hide something.

The 10 p.m. phone call Chris Wallace referenced is an important piece to the puzzle many are overlooking, as Andrew McCarthy at National Review Online points out.
A good deal of media attention has quite appropriately been lavished on e-mail traffic between mid-level administration officials in the days leading up to Sunday, September 16. That is the day when Ms. Rice, a close Obama confidant, made her appalling appearances on the Sunday-morning political shows. Those performances were transparently designed to mislead the American people, during the presidential campaign stretch run, into believing that an anti-Islamic Internet video — rather than a coordinated terrorist attack orchestrated by al-Qaeda affiliates, coupled with the Obama administration’s gross failure to secure and defend American personnel in Benghazi — was responsible for the killings.
Fraud flows from the top down, not the mid-level up. Mid-level officials in the White House and the State Department do not call the shots — they carry out orders. They also were not running for reelection in 2012 or positioning themselves for a campaign in 2016. The people doing that were, respectively, President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton.
Obama and Clinton had been the architects of American foreign policy. As Election Day 2012 loomed, each of them had a powerful motive to promote the impressions (a) that al-Qaeda had been decimated; (b) that the administration’s deft handling of the Arab Spring — by empowering Islamists — had been a boon for democracy, regional stability, and American national security; and (c) that our real security problem was “Islamophobia” and the “violent extremism” it allegedly causes — which was why Obama and Clinton had worked for years with Islamists, both overseas and at home, to promote international resolutions that would make it illegal to incite hostility to Islam, the First Amendment be damned.
All of that being the case, I am puzzled why so little attention has been paid to the Obama-Clinton phone call at 10 p.m. on the night of September 11.
Even in the conservative press, it has become received wisdom that President Obama was AWOL on the night of September 11, after first being informed by Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, in the late afternoon, that the State Department facility in Benghazi was under attack. You hear it again and again: While Americans were under attack, the commander-in-chief checked out, leaving subordinates to deal with the crisis while he got his beauty sleep in preparation for a fundraising campaign trip to Vegas.
That is not true . . . and the truth, as we’ve come to expect with Obama, is almost surely worse. There is good reason to believe that while Americans were still fighting for their lives in Benghazi, while no military efforts were being made to rescue them, and while those desperately trying to rescue them were being told to stand down, the president was busy shaping the “blame the video” narrative to which his administration clung in the aftermath.
We have heard almost nothing about what Obama was doing that night. Back in February, though, CNS News did manage to pry one grudging disclosure out of White House mendacity mogul Jay Carney: “At about 10 p.m., the president called Secretary Clinton to get an update on the situation.”
Obviously, it is not a detail Carney was anxious to share. Indeed, it contradicted an earlier White House account that claimed the president had not spoken with Clinton or other top administration officials that night.
The earlier story better fit Obama’s modus operandi, which is to disappear in times of crisis. His brief legislative career was about voting “present” because he prefers to be absent when accountability knocks. The idea is to be the Obama of Evan Thomas lore: “standing above the country, above — above the world, he’s sort of God.” He reemerges only after the shooting stops and the smoke clears: gnosis personified, here to diagnose our failings. He is not a commander-in-chief for the battle but the armchair general of the post mortem.
In this instance, though, Carney’s hand was forced by then-secretary Clinton. Testifying before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in January, she recounted first learning at about 4 p.m. on September 11 that the State Department facility in Benghazi was under attack. That was very shortly after the siege started. Over the hours that followed, Clinton stated, “we were in continuous meetings and conversations, both within the department, with our team in Tripoli, with the interagency and internationally.” It was in the course of this “constant ongoing discussion and sets of meetings” that Clinton then recalled: “I spoke with President Obama later in the evening to, you know, bring him up to date, to hear his perspective.”

Liberal Democrat Ed Markey Approves Message With Gun Firing Near Head Of GOP Opponent

More liberal civility: (Gateway Pundit)

This must be part of that new civility Democrats promised us.
Rep. Ed Markey (D-MA) has a gun firing off at the head of GOP opponent Gabriel Gomez in his latest campaign ad. Coincidence? We think not.
Via Pundit Press:

So is the anti-2nd Amendment crusader (who shamelessly uses his wife as a political prop) Mark Kelly going to voice outrage against this ad, or will he be silent, because it's an ad for a fellow lib?

Prof. William Jacobson at Legal Insurrection noted earlier how the lib Markey had run an ad against Gomez by putting his image in a split screen with Osama bin Laden.

OBAMA LIED: Regime Knew IRS Targeted Tea Party Five Months Before Election...Smoking Gun Found?

Remember the other day, when Richard Milhous Obama responded to the IRS scandal of targeting Tea Party and conservative organizations by saying this?

"I learned about it from the same news reports that I think most people learned about this," said the president. "I think it was on Friday."
Well, Obama LIED! (Breitbart.com)
In no uncertain terms and with no hedging, The New York Times reports that the Obama administration was aware of the fact that the IRS was targeting Tea Party groups as far back as June of 2012. The Treasury Department's Inspector General confirmed that he told senior Treasury officials in June of 2012, a full five months before Election Day:
The Treasury Department’s inspector general told senior Treasury officials in June 2012 he was investigating the Internal Revenue Service’s screening of politically active organizations seeking tax exemptions, disclosing for the first time on Friday that Obama administration officials were aware of the matter during the presidential campaign year.
We still don’t know for sure what the President knew or when he knew it, but this does confirm that the administration was aware of the fact that Obama's political enemies were under fire by the IRS and covered that fact up during an election year.
As Lisa Meyers of NBC News told "Morning Joe" today, "Imagine if we -- if you can -- what would have happened if this fact came out in September 2012, in the middle of a presidential election? The terrain would have looked very different."
One conservative website run by the Franklin Center, Watchdog.org, may have found a smoking gun.
President Barack Obama’s executive staff reviewed Watchdog’s news website in record numbers at precisely the moment when Internal Revenue Service visits to the same site spiked, Watchdog.org’s analytics show.
A similar report reveals that the Executive Office of the President and IRS were the source of a similar December traffic spike on the website of Watchdog.org, the online news network of the Franklin Center for Government and Public Integrity. (Updated: an earlier version of this incorrectly reported that traffic spiked in January.)
The White House has said that IRS reviews of conservative nonprofits were procedurally “inappropriate on the part of fairly low-level agents.”
This new data suggests at least a coincidence of interests in Watchdog.
According to Google analytics, the IRS generated 456 unique visitors, between January 2009 and May 2013. The report notes 552 visits and 709 page views from the IRS. Most of the traffic occurred between the second half of 2012 and this week.
One day in December, watchdog.org received more than 100 visits from the tax agency.
The analytics show 60 unique visitors and 84 page views to Watchdog.org from eop.gov, the Executive Office of the President, between December 2009 and May 2013.
So there's a lot that Obama needs to answer about: what he knew about Benghazi and if he gave the stand down order, plus, what did he know about efforts by the IRS to harass and audit conservatives.

And don't try to pretend you just don't know, because we know you're lying!

Bob Woodward Goes There, Compares Benghazi to Watergate

Bob Woodward, one of the investigative reporters for the Washington ComPost whose reporting brought the resignation of Richard Milhous Nixon, told the two hosts of The Morning Joe (hosted by RINO Joe Scarboring) not to dismiss BenghaziGate, even comparing it to Watergate (Breitbart).

If you read through all these e-mails, you see that everyone in the government is saying, 'Oh, let's not tell the public that terrorists were involved, people connected to al Qaeda. Let's not tell the public that there were warnings.' I hate to show, this is one of the documents with the editing that one of the people in the state department said, 'Oh, let's not let these things out.' And I have to go back 40 years to Watergate when Nixon put out his edited transcripts to the conversations, and he personally went through them and said, 'Oh, let's not tell this, let's not show this.' I would not dismiss Benghazi. It's a very serious issue. As people keep saying, four people were killed.

Which is the big difference...no one died during Watergate, or MonicaGate, for that matter.
