GLAAD's Hypocrisy: Silent On MSNBC Contributor Using Term "Butt Buddy," Alec Baldwin's Anti-Gay Slurs

What has everyone been talking about the last few days?

Phil Robertson, Duck Dynasty and A&E.  It was the big story that immediately took off any outrage oof far-left John Podesta comparing the GOP opponents of Obama's agenda members of the Jonestown cult, just as people were digging into the far-Left, Democrat background of the Jonestown cult leader.

I was watching Twitter blow up Wednesday night over the network's suspension of Robertson for talking about his Christian faith, in which the topic of homosexuality came up. Even though Robertson was giving an opinion, based on his faith, he came under attack by GLAAD, part of the radical homosexual gaystapo, who will attack any alleged outburst of "homophobia."

Except when it's done by liberals.

I don't recall GLAAD expressing outrage at uber-liberal cable network MSNBC in July 2011 when MSNBC contributor Jimmy Williams said the following:
One person is controlling the agenda of the United States of America right now and his name is Grover Norquist.

Grover Norquist was Newt Gingrich's butt buddy. He was Jack Abramoff's close friend and laundered money from Native Americans. He charged people $25,000 a pop to go to a Bush White House signing ceremony. He is a petty criminal. And he's made just about every single member of the House of Representatives on the Republican, not the Tea Party, the Republican side, and almost all Republican senators sign a pledge saying that they will never ever for the rest of their lives raise taxes.

I need to know, first of all, do we have on the Left a Grover Norquist? And if we don't, why not?

When former MSNBC host Alec Baldwin sent tweets with anti-gay messages to a reporter, GLAAD defended the liberal hothead (TMZ).
Alec Baldwin just got a "Get Out of Homophobia Jail Free" card from the people at GLAAD ... because they don't have the balls to go after a self-proclaimed Hollywood liberal.

After Baldwin essentially called for the gay-bashing of a Daily Mail reporter ... the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation -- the same org. that's CRUSHED people for making far less harmful and threatening statements -- asked critics to back off Baldwin.

"Alec Baldwin is making it clear [to GLAAD] that the intent behind his tweets does not excuse his language, especially at a time when there were 11 incidents of violence against gay men in New York City just last month. As we all work to end such senseless acts of violence, allies like Baldwin are right to use these moments to reinforce support for the community and LGBT equality."

But the statement continues ... and might reveal the REAL reason they're letting Alec off easy:

"Alec Baldwin has worked with several organizations and added his voice to a campaign by Fight Back NY to encourage the State Senate to pass marriage equality with out actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson. He also had a guest role on Will & Grace and played a gay character in the 2006 Off-Broadway revival of 'Entertaining Mr. Sloane.'"

It's almost like the org. is afraid if they bash Baldwin, he'll STOP doing pro-gay projects.
Baldwin and MSNBC ended their relationship last month after he was caught on film calling a photographer a "c*cksucking f@g," much worse than anything Phil Robertson ever said.

Gateway Pundit also pointed out how "Reverend" Al Sharpton, who is a current MSNBC host, once called a guest on the Morton Downey Jr. show "punk f@ggot."

Sharpton also gave a speech in 1994 where he called Greeks "homos."

White folks was [sic] in caves while we were building empires…. We taught philosophy and astrology and mathematics before Socrates and those Greek homos ever got around to it.
But if you're a liberal, you get a pass. If you're a Bible-believing Christian, you're under fire.

Camille Paglia, a noted feminist who also happens to be gay, is siding with Robertson and called the attacks on him "fascist."
“I speak with authority here, because I was openly gay before the ‘Stonewall rebellion,’ when it cost you something to be so. And I personally feel as a libertarian that people have the right to free thought and free speech,” Paglia, a professor at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, said on Laura Ingraham’s radio show Thursday.

“In a democratic country, people have the right to be homophobic as well as they have the right to support homosexuality — as I one hundred percent do. If people are basing their views against gays on the Bible, again they have a right of religious freedom there,” she added.

“To express yourself in a magazine in an interview — this is the level of punitive PC, utterly fascist, utterly Stalinist, OK, that my liberal colleagues in the Democratic Party and on college campuses have supported and promoted over the last several decades,” Paglia said. “This is the whole legacy of free speech 1960’s that have been lost by my own party.”

...Paglia went on to point out that while she is an atheist she respects religion and has been frustrated by the intolerance of gay activists.

“I think that this intolerance by gay activists toward the full spectrum of human beliefs is a sign of immaturity, juvenility,” Paglia said. “This is not the mark of a true intellectual life. This is why there is no cultural life now in the U.S. Why nothing is of interest coming from the major media in terms of cultural criticism. Why the graduates of the Ivy League with their A, A, A+ grades are complete cultural illiterates, etc. is because they are not being educated in any way to give respect to opposing view points.”
