Tea Party Witness Chokes Up In Front of Congress "I'm Not Here As A Serf Or Vassal, I'm A Born-Free American Woman"

The video below is from testimony to the House Ways & Means Committee by Becky Gerritso, Founder and President of Wetumpka TEA Party Alabama. It's almost eight minutes, but it needs to be watched by every American, regardless of political leaning.

Because what is happening to those of us who believe in limited government and the Constitution could happen to anyone.

Gerritson spoke of demands asked of her 'tiny group' by the agency, including detailed contents of every speech ever given by someone involved in the Tea Party branch, copies of any communication sent to any member of a legislative body, including her own representatives, and the list goes on.
Gerritson fought back tears as she pointed her finger at the members of Congress sitting before her, saying of her group, "[we] had no party affiliation ... It didn't matter ... the only notion expressed was that our representative government had failed us." "In Wetumpka, we are patriotic Americans; we peacefully assemble; we petition our government; we exercise our right to free speech. We don't understand why the government tried to stop us. I'm not here as a serf or a vassal. I'm not begging my lord for mercy. I'm a born-free American woman, wife, mother, and citizen, and I'm telling my government that you've forgotten your place."
She called the IRS' demands a "willful act of intimidation to discourage a point of view" and "un-American."
Gerritson again became choked up as she concluded her statement, saying, "I'm not interested in scoring political points. I want to preserve and protect the America that I grew up in. The America that people crossed oceans and risked their lives to become a part of, and I'm terrified it's slipping away. Thank you very much."
She said she received a letter from Director of the IRS Exempt Organizations division Lois Lerner.

Then, Tea Party members who had to endure this gestapo like treatment from the IRS had to get attacked by radical left-wing Demorat Jim McDimwit of the Seattle Washington, area, who all but blamed the Tea Party members for this massive attempt to trample on their free speech, until Paul Ryan called him out.

Of course, if there was any justice in this nation, Rep. McDimwit should have been thrown out of Congress in the late 1990s after he violated federal law when he turned over an illegally taped conversation between then House Speaker Newt Gingrich and John Boehner. Moreover, this treasonous piece of offal should have been deported after he attacked President George W. Bush as a liar in 2002 while he stood in Saddam Hussein's Iraq.

Contrary to the talking points from the Obama Regime and the criminal syndicate known as the Democrap Party, this had everything to do with politics. Consider this:

So the idea that this is not political is a bunch of cow patties.  This is the United States government trampling on not only the free speech rights of Americans based on political ideology, as well as a violation of the 14th Amendment.

The question now is, what will the Republicans and any decent (if there still are any) Democrats going to do about it?
