Source "Paper Trail to DC" Goes High Up In IRS Scandal; Pro-Israel Activist Tells Of IRS "Special Scrutiny" Of Pro-Israel Orgs

Breaking this afternoon, via the Twitter account of Joseph Curl of the Washington Times and Drudge Report, there is a paper trail leading "high up" in Washington DC on the IRS scandal (via Gateway Pundit).

This morning, Lori Lowenthal Marcus of the pro-Israel group Z Street was interviewed by Brian Wilson and our buddy Larry O'Connor on WMAL's Mornings on the Mall on the subject of IRS scrutinizing pro-Israel organizations (audio below).

"...About eight months after we filed our initial application, the (IRS) agent in charge said the IRS has to give special scrutiny to all organizations connected to Israel and that some of those files of those organizations had to be sent to a special unit in Washington DC to determine if their activities contradict those of this administration's current public policy."
Marcus also said one religious Jewish organization was sent a questionnaire that asked "Does your organization support the existence of the land of Israel and describe your organization's religious belief organization toward the land of Israel."
