Second Amendment Activists Need To Stay Far, Far Away From Adam Kokesh

I've been meaning to chine in on this, ever since hearing that Iraq Veterans Against The War activist Adam Kokesh has announced plans to hold a march from Virginia into Washington DC with loaded weapons to protest their gun laws.

Michelle Malkin wrote more about IVAW last week. For those interested in finding out more about Kokesh's and IVAW's history, visit my good friend Jonn Lilyea and the crew at This Ain't Hell.

So I'm mentioning Kokesh today because, Jonn at TAH reports Kokesh is up to his usual trick of getting arrested to protest some law he doesn't like.  This time, it has to do with legalizing pot.
Earlier today, a post was made on Adam Kokesh's official Facebook page that he had been arrested in Philadelphia during a "Smoke Down Prohibition" event. Kokesh has attended all four previous "Smoke Down Prohibition" events and was continuing this trend by participating in the fifth today. The Facebook post reads as follows:
Adam has been arrested and is in jail in Philly... I can personally testify that he hadn't even smoked yet... everyone please phone bomb the philly police and jail phone lines and demand adam be released amd able to make contact with us... other protesters were actually smoking and released after arrest but adam was taken away in a white chevy suburban... phone bomb them now!!! --- Brother Lucas
Another post was made just a few minutes ago which provides a phone number to contact:
Phone bomb 2-5 XXX-XXXX and demand Adam get a phone call and that he be released... we have yet to be in contact with him about 2 hours into it... I will keep everyone posted as I get more details! One love - Brotha Lucas
Adam is the person behind the planned armed march on Washington, D.C on July 4th, 2013.
But who goes to pot rally and doesn’t expect to be arrested? It’s an illegal drug, for Pete’s sake. You can argue whether it should be legal or not, but it’s illegal now, so you’re going to be arrested for engaging in consuming the drug. The hippies claim that Kokesh didn’t have any pot on him when he was arrested, but in the video at the Facebook link you can clearly hear him urging people to fire up their doobies as the cops move through the crowd.
Of course, I lay all of this at the feet of the District of Colombia’s judicial system. Kokesh has been arrested countless times in the District and the judges have all let him off scot-free. He was arrested for putting anti-war posters up in a national park despite police warnings, he scaled barriers to keep protesters off of Capitol grounds.
Kokesh put up racist, anti-Muslim posters on George Washington University campus and signed the posters with the name of a conservative student organization. The University president vowed that he would make arrests and take action against the conservative students, until Kokesh admitted that he had done it, and then the entire matter was dropped.
No judge has the testicular fortitude to actually punish Kokesh, and like a child, he ups the ante everytime, but the government won’t set boundaries for him. So I hope they’re pleased with the creature that they’ve created with their gutless reaction to the man.
This is not who Second Amendment activists need to align themselves with, because Adam Kokesh is not an authentic supporter of the right to keep and bear arms. Kokseh is nothing but a militant rabble-rouser, always breaking some kind of law to get more attention for himself.

So you've been warned.
