Sights From CPAC 2013 - Friday

When I arrived at the Gaylord National Resort at National Harbor, MD today for CPAC 2013, I'd missed Donald Trump's speech, but caught the last half of Rep. Paul Ryan's address.

Later today, Gov. Mitt Romney, who Ryan served as running mate to on the GOP 2012 Presidential ticket, spoke, as I'd linked earlier.

Romney had spoken of using the 30 GOP governors as role models to base the comeback in 2016 on. One example of a great governor is Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, who spoke not long after Romney finished.

Jindal also shared some of his jokes he used from his well received Gridiron Club appearance recently.
But CPAC is more than just speeches from prominent conservative leaders and thinkers. It is also where various panel discussions, movies and awards are given out.
This morning, Rep. Michele Bachmann presented the Tea Party Blogger of the Year award to Julie Borowski.
In the hallway outside the main ballroom, someone placed the infamous example of just how big the Obamacare regulations are. If you want an idea of how tall this is, I'm 6'0" and it still towered over me.
When you're not in the audience for a major speech, attending a workshop, or hanging out with fellow conservatives, the CPAC Exhibit Hall is a great place to visit and learn more about various conservative organizations, sign up for giveaways, or attend book signings from various authors.

Even Marco Rubio's PAC was there. For a donation, you could have one of his water bottles as a way to poke fun at the mocking libs who took him to task for drinking bottled water on TV.
