Next on the list...shutting down 149 air traffic control towers because of a $637 million cut in the FAA budget.
It's sick to even consider, but I wouldn't put it past Obama to wish for a few air crashes, so that he and that little POS "Dingy" Harry Reid can use the dead as political props to play on emotions and get the tax increases they want.
But if the FAA is short $637 million, why is the Palestinian Authority getting a little over that number from Richard Milhous Obama? (SooperMexican).
Obama’s Middle East tour is coming to close, and despite the lapdog media’s slobbering over his incoherent and rambling speeches, his visit has been a disaster.
Still, it was announced on Friday through the State Department that Obama had unfrozen $500,000,000 worth of aid to the Palestinian Authority quietly over the last few weeks, and the PA had received it finally.
From Press Secretary Nuland of the State Department [emphasis added]:
...The US has given the Palestinian Authority about $500 million per year in aid, and if they hand out the other $200 million they seek, they will have given the Palestinian Authority $700 million.
Mind you, the FAA has to shut down 149 control towers, forcing pilots to have to organize among themselves when landing and taking off and putting Americans in harm’s way.
How much is the FAA’s budget being cut by? $637 million, which is less than the $700 total that the State Department is seeking to give the PA.Not only that, but new Secretary of Hate "Hanoi" John Kerry announced earlier this month the US is giving $250 million to possibly $1 billion of our money to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
Shouldn't that money be spent here? It shouldn't go to hostile regimes that hate not only us, but our most important ally in the region, Israel.
But it's another example of how this Regime cannot cut one dime from government, but will spend our tax dollars outrageously and extravagantly as well. Like this one from the UK Daily Mail about Vice President Joe Bite Me's trip to France.
Paris may be known as the City of Light, but that title certainly doesn’t mean that visitors are light on spending as Vice President Joe Biden’s one day trip cost taxpayers more than half a million dollars. And the IRS has had to apologize for two $60,000 videos that parodied Star Trek and Gilligan's Island.
When Mr Biden and his hefty entourage stayed in Paris for an evening in early February and it cost $585,000.50 for that single night.
The Vice President likely rented out more than 100 rooms in the Hotel Intercontinental Paris Le Grand, though they must not have gotten a group discount rate.
...For some reason, the pound must be at a better level than the euro as his hotel bill for one night at the Hyatt Regency in London was only $459,388.65, more than $100,000 less than his night in Paris.
The contract for the London trip specifies that the Vice President’s crew required 136 hotel rooms for the evening, so it is fair to assume that they needed a similar- if not the exact same- number in Paris for the next leg of the trip.
“The IRS recognizes and takes seriously our obligation to be good stewards of government resources and taxpayer dollars,” the agency said in a statement to the AP. “There is no mistaking that this video did not reflect the best stewardship of resources.”
Gee, do ya think so? Obviously, our government, from the Executive Branch on down, doesn't give a second thought about living it up on the taxpayers' dime, while telling us we have to make due with less money, because they want to raise more of our taxes, especially after they increased the payroll tax at the start of the year.
Finally here's the last tear jerker from our so-called "public servants," Debbie "Thunderlips" Wasserman Schultz and the Alexandria VA town drunk, Jim Moron.
...Moran fretted that, with the looming sequester cuts, he may have to cut one staffer from his office. Wasserman Schultz upped his ante, however. She, almost literally, suggested that her staff were on the brink of starvation, due to the cuts.
Speaking at a hearing of the House Legislative Branch Appropriations Subcommittee, Wasserman Schultz worried that prices of meals in House restaurants are getting so high that aides are being "priced out" of a good meal.
At the carry-out cafe in the Cannon Office Building, where Wasserman Schultz has her office, you can get an 8oz bowl of Ham and Bean soup for $2. You can buy gourmet sandwiches and wraps for around $5. Both of these are cheaper than I can get at delis down the street from my house.
Her aides could walk across the street to the Longworth Building, which has a large sit-down cafeteria. Today, it is featuring a roasted stuffed Chicken, with asparagus and mashed potatoes, for around $7. Or, one could opt for a heaping 12oz bowl of Chicken Chili for $3.
There is also the tried and true method enjoyed by millions of workers around the country: a brown-bag lunch.
Wasserman Schultz's top aide earns around $160k a year. She pays two additional aides around $120k a year. She has five additional aides who earn between $60-100k a year.Cry me a bleeping river! I'm no where near making the minimum of what her aides make and I eat fine, three squares a day, everyday. Then again, I was lucky I had parents who taught me a lesson at a young age that Washington hasn't learned...."Money doesn't grow on trees."
