Since I had the day off, I drove by about an hour before it opened. The parking lot was full and people were already lined up on this cold and dreary northern Virginia day.
NRA memberships were being sold, and could get you into the event free.
There was no sign of any gun-grabbing idiots protesting, so I don't know if they showed up later or will sometime this weekend.
