Why Clint Eastwood's Speech Succeeded....

As Legal Insurrection and Rush Limbaugh pointed out, Hollywood actor and director Clint Eastwood succeeded in his speech last night at the Republican National Convention in a big way.

The proof is in the photo tweeted by Obama below.

Eastwood got under "That One's" thin skin.

I mean, look, an empty chair with a teleprompter in front of it.

I kept waiting to see if Mr. Leg Thrill Chris Matthews had called him a racist.

Code Pinko Infiltrates Romney Speech, Gets Confronted By Dana Loesch....Will Media Pay Attention To Their Links To Obama?

As they did with Paul Ryan's speech, a couple of members of the military hating, terrorist enablers called Code Pinko infiltrated the floor of the RNC convention last night during Mitt Romney's speech.

For most of the week, they've been content to make spectacles of themselves, dressing up as giant vaginas to push the whole reproductive rights meme. Regardless of the fact that it's probably been decades since any of those ugly skanks had to worry about using contraception....ever.

Dana Loesch, an editor with Breitbart.com, confronted the Stinko Pinko (BreitbartTV).

As Loesch pointed out, Code Pinko has made a habit of interrupting speeches of Republicans and also AIPAC, but doesn't interrupt or question Richard Milhous Obama.

Why? Because there are links between Code Stink and Obama, as well as other Democrats.

In early 2008, Kristinn Taylor discovered that the co-founder of the group, Jodie Evans, was a donations bundler for the Obama 2008 Campaign. She has used donations to meet with Obama at high-priced fundraisers to advocate for terrorist enemies of America.

When White House visitor logs were released, her name appeared on them.

In 2010, it was revealed that California Democrat Sen. Barbara Boxer, along with Democrat Reps. Raul Grijalva and Henry "Nostrilitus" Waxman, helped Code Pinko get $600,000 in aid to the terrorist insurgency in Iraq in late 2004, as the terrorists were fighting US Marines during the bloody Battle of Fallujah.

In June 2011, after Code Pinko's Rae Abileah interrupted Israeil Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyanhu's speech to Congress, California Democrat Rep. Lynn Woolsey (a longtime supporter of the anti-American Pinkos) chanted anti-Israeli slogans with Abileah and said the interruption of Netanyahu's speech "made her proud."

The question is, when will some enterprising reporter in the White House ask the Regime about their links to these anti-US activists, and also if the President condemns such activity, especially when he lectures the nation about "civility."

Paul Ryan's Speech Was So Good That Obama Camp Was Lying About Janesville, WI GM Plant Claim Afterwards

GOP Vice Presidential nominee Paul Ryan once again showed why he was one of the best decisions Mitt Romney has made as the GOP nominee, in adding him to the ticket. He gave a speech in where he laid out the problems we face, solutions, and in a way in which he made the audience feel as if he was talking to him one on one.

In short, Ryan's speech was (as AC/DC would say) "T.N.T."

So much so that the Obama Regime's propagandists had to start lying in overdrive last night.

I had e-mails in my mailbox last night from the greasy David Axelrod:

and Jim "Punch back twice as hard" Messina.

The lying continued by the Regime on Twitter, especially in regards to the shut down GM plant in Janesville, WI that Ryan referenced. Axeldouche and Messina said it shut down under Bush. But as Twitter commenters noted (via Twitchy), Ryan was accurate in telling how the plant closed in 2009.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

The Janesville plant stopped production of SUVs in 2008 and was idled in 2009 after it completed production of medium-duty trucks.

Remaining on standby means not much has changed in Janesville. Community leaders say they would be ready if the GM plant reopened, but no one seems to be counting on that.

"I think there are a lot of people that would love to see General Motors come back to this area and provide good quality manufacturing jobs," said Bob Borremans, executive director of the Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board. "If we fit into their future and they come back, people would (welcome) that with great anticipation and open arms.

Here's what The Anointed One said at a 2008 campaign stop at the plant:

This can be America’s future. I know that General Motors received some bad news yesterday, and I know how hard your Governor has fought to keep jobs in this plant. But I also know how much progress you’ve made – how many hybrids and fuel-efficient vehicles you’re churning out. And I believe that if our government is there to support you, and give you the assistance you need to re-tool and make this transition, that this plant will be here for another hundred years. The question is not whether a clean energy economy is in our future, it’s where it will thrive. I want it to thrive right here in the United States of America; right here in Wisconsin; and that’s the future I’ll fight for as your President.

This is all Obama, Axeldouche, Messina and the rest of the Democrats have to run on: lies and distractions, because their record has been one of failure.

Speaking of lies, if you look in Axeldouche's e-mail, he recycled the lie about Obama's mother and her health insurance.

John Boehner Shuts Down Debate On Muzzling Grassroots In GOP, But Boasts He Can Find "Common Ground" With Obama

The Republican Party establishment found a way to muzzle the grassroots activists yesterday, passing the delegate changes proposed by the Romney camp.

This despite the fact that several buses of delegates who opposed the rule change were delayed (coincidence?) in getting to the convention.

Michelle Malkin has more.

And here's House Speaker John Boehner shutting down the opposition to the rule change.

The same Boehner who doesn't want to look like a mean guy, so eager to find "common ground" with Obama, but wastes no time going after conservatives, like a typical RINO.

That crybaby Boehner needs the equivalent of a Gen. George S. Patton to make him man up.

Lib Racism: #negrospotting, Female Black GOP Candidate Called "Whore" & "House Nigger" On Wikipedia Page, MSNBC Ignores GOP Speeches By Minorities

Anyone who has followed politics over the last four years knows how any and all opposition to Richard Milhous Obama, from the time he was the Democrat Presidential nominee in 2008 through the last 3 1/2 years of his failed Presidency, is called RAAAAACIST.

Well, what has happened during the first night of the GOP convention?

New Rochelle councilman now engaging in #negrospotting at GOP convention (Twitchy).

Jared Rice@CouncilmanRice

I'm watching the RNC convention and am looking for black faces but am hard pressed to find them. They say this is called #negrospotting lol.

So this is post-racial America, huh? Jared Rice, a city councilman and NAACP member from New Rochelle, N.Y., is now playing a game he calls #negrospotting as he views coverage of the Republican National Convention.

#Negrospotting: An amusing trend emerges on Twitter during RNC su.pr/9Hmm2q

Amusing? We’re not sure how amusing it would be if a conservative started a similar hashtag. Keep in mind that “The Grio” is “the official NBC News community devoted [to] perspectives that affect and reflect the African-American community.” Is there no end to the #NBCFail?

Meanwhile, Utah Congressional Candidate Mia Love, a rising star in the party who gave a great speech last night, had her Wikipedia page attacked in which she was called “ a dirty, worthless whore who sold out her soul in the name of big business ….” and in a later attempted edit, “She is also a whore, and hopefully the editor who reverts this hates her as much as I now do.” (Legal Insurrection).

War on Women?  It gets worse! Twitchy posted a screenshot captured by my friend Tabitha Hale in which Love was also called a "house nigger."

The Obamabots at the Congressional Black Caucus attacked former member and Democrat Rep. Artur Davis for the crime of leaving the Democrat Party plantation, becoming a Republican, and speaking last night at the convention (Gateway Pundit).

From the Obama Truth Team:

[L]ess than two years ago, you routinely touted your progressive record as a member of the House of Representatives. You supported the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the Wall Street reform bill, the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, and ending tax subsidies for oil companies. Despite voting against the final bill, you even supported major pillars of the Affordable Care Act like banning discrimination against pre-existing conditions, expanding Medicaid, and providing tax breaks to small businesses that provide health care, to name a few.

Contrary to your recent declarations, you hailed President Barack Obama as a “beacon of leadership,” touted President Obama as your “model,” and widely described the President as a friend. As a member of the House of Representatives, you supported President Obama’s agenda 95% of the time, were quoted saying “I agree with him on everything,” and repeatedly invoked President Obama in your failed gubernatorial campaign.

It is important that the American people have these important facts and draw their own conclusions about your true motivations for speaking at the Republican National Convention. We have come to the disturbing conclusion that your recent public statements have no basis in real policy or political disagreements, but rather they stem from transparent opportunism and a personal determination to overcome failing to win the Alabama Democratic primary for Governor in 2010. We regret that you have chosen this course, but are confident that the American people see your pronouncements for what they are and come to the same disappointing conclusion of your former colleagues.

Even more telling, the Regime's favorite network, MSNBC (Moonbats Spouting Nothing But Crap), who routinely throw the race card and make allegations of "dog whistle" racism, ignored the speeches of minorities like Love, Davis, Ted Cruz, and Brian Sandoval, among others.

The problem with liberals isn't that they believe Republicans and conservatives are racist, they just pretend that conservative minorities don't exist.

Treasonous "American Taliban" From Marin County Sues To Practice Group Prayer, His Permissive, Liberal Father "Proud"

The treasonous piece of human debris from Marin County, CA, John Walker Lindh (a.k.a "Ratboy," "Johnny Jihad" and "American Taliban"), is suing for the right to participate in group prayers with other Muslims.

What is worse, is that the pathetic excuse for a father is "proud" of his liberal son (ABC News).

"I was really proud of John," Frank Lindh told ABCNews.com. "Today he did such a good job of explaining the daily prayer. It was a really well informed testimony. It shows how much depth of knowledge he has about Islam."

John Lindh, who pleaded guilty to helping the Taliban and carrying explosives, testified in court today that a prison policy limiting group prayer has forced him to sin.

Lindh, 31, is suing prison officials for the right to pray five times a day with fellow Islamic inmates instead of praying alone in his cell.

"I believe it's obligatory," Lindh said in court, the Associated Press reported. "If you're required to do it in congregation and you don't, then that's a sin."

Lindh is being held in the Communications Management Unit in Terre Haute, Ind., where he is serving a 20-year sentence for supplying services to the Taliban and carrying an explosive during the commission of a felony.

"I am a Muslim and my religion requires that I perform five daily prayers in congregation. This is mandatory and not optional," Lindh wrote in a handwritten complaint to prison officials that was also filed in federal court.

A ban on daily group prayer was instituted in 2007 after Muslim inmates ignored a lockdown caused by a fire alarm, court documents stated. Inmates are free to pray in their individual cells.

But according to one imam, the lying Lindh can pray alone (AJC).

Ammar Amonette testified Tuesday in federal court in Indianapolis that he and Lindh adhere to the same Hanbali school of Islam and that it excuses followers from praying in groups if it isn't possible. Amonette leads a mosque in Richmond, Va.

Amonette's testimony comes on the second day of trial in Lindh's lawsuit challenging a rule allowing only supervised group prayer at the tightly controlled federal prison unit in Terre Haute, Ind., where he's serving a 20-year sentence.

The government says it can't allow daily group prayer because of security concerns and because it doesn't employ enough Muslim chaplains.

So as this piece of trash who should have been hung for treason demands his rights (I personally would have thrown the bastard from an open door of the airplane bringing him back), the parents, wife and children of CIA agent Johnny Michael Spann live without a their son, husband and father. Such selfishness can only come from a Marin County liberal family like the Lindhs.

Obama Regime Leaked Classified Info On Osama Raid, But Threatens Navy SEAL With Prosecution Over Book

Richard Milhous Obama has endlessly spiked the football after the Navy SEALs killed terrorist Osama bin Laden in May 2011, acting as if he did it himself.

But a retired SEAL who took part in the raid is now writing a book to "set the record straight," but is now being threatened with prosecution (Fox News).

The Pentagon said Monday it is reviewing a copy of a soon-to-be-published firsthand account of the raid that killed Osama bin Laden, checking for leaks of classified information.

Pentagon spokesman George Little said Defense Department officials "received the manuscript and we are looking at it."

The book, "No Easy Day," is scheduled for publication on Sept. 11, the anniversary of the 2001 attacks that bin Laden masterminded.

The author, a former U.S. Navy SEAL who participated in the raid, did not submit the book until now for the pre-publication review that is required by the military secrecy agreements officials say he signed.

....Pentagon officials say that if they determine the manuscript reveals classified information about the raid, the Pentagon would "defer to the Department of Justice."

If the book has classified information, the former SEAL could face criminal charges.

The publisher says the author intends to give the "majority" of the proceeds to charity, but the Justice Department could still sue to collect any future book proceeds as well.

The publisher, Dutton, announced the book's pending release last week, saying that "No Easy Day" will "set the record straight" on the bin Laden operation.

The book has shot up to the top of the Amazon.com chart, reaching No. 1 as of late Friday morning and remaining there Monday, displacing the million-selling erotic trilogy "Fifty Shades of Gray."

Meanwhile, the Obama Regime leaked classified info on the Osama Raid to filmmakers for a movie effort to help the Football Spiker in Chief, and yet calls for an independent counsel to investigate were ignored.

But they're going to attack a Navy SEAL who took part in the raid, just because it's critical of The Anointed One?

Newt Throws Race Card Back At Chris "Thrill Up My Leg" Matthews

This was delicious! Mr. "Thrill Up My Leg" Chris Matthews tried to play the race card against Newt Gingrich last night, and Newt threw it right back at him.

Team Romney Still Trying To Shut Out Conservative Grassroots With New Rules

Starting yesterday afternoon into the evening, an alarm was sounded over proposed delegate rules changes by the Republican Party that amounted to an attack on the conservative grassroots and Tea Party activists.

Michelle Malkin has been on top of this at her blog. She noted that a compromise had apparently been reached late last night to avoid a floor fight.

However, Erick Erickson at RedState says the GOP Rules Committee is looking to shut out the conservative grassroots at 2:00 p.m. today.

At 2:00 p.m. today in Tampa, the Republican National Committee, led by Team Romney, is moving to shut down conservative grassroots activists. I’ve been on the phone with several individuals involved in the fight who tell me that the fight is not over, it is only just starting.

Specifically, the media is reporting that the rules fight is over because Team Romney is abandoning Ben Ginsberg’s effort to allow candidates to control delegates. Under an initial proposal, delegates would, in effect, be chosen by the presumed nominee’s campaign and not based on votes in the states and delegate selection processes in the states.

That issue appears resolved, but several people I’ve spoken to make clear that Team Romney and the RNC establishment are using that compromise as a red herring to distract from two major rules change proposals that would decimate Republican grassroots and prevent upstart political campaigns.

The first rule to be proposed is one that would give the Republican National Committee the power to change rules between conventions with a three-quarters vote of the RNC. One source tells me, “With a Republican President, of course this is doable. Everybody will roll over if a President Romney asks them too. They’ll be able to get Ben Ginsberg’s proposal next year.”

In other words, if Team Romney prevails in this rules change, they don’t have to worry about Ben Ginsberg not getting his way today on the delegate changes. They’ll be able to do it later when the press and grassroots are not watching.

The second rules change would front load winner takes all primaries. Grassroots conservatives point to both Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum as reasons to stop this rule. Had there been front loaded winner takes all primaries, neither the Gingrich nor the Santorum campaigns would have been able to get any traction.

“This is going to be a fight on the floor if they don’t back down. They have too much pride to back down and we’re going to humble them,” said one delegate to the convention.

Another tells me, “They’ve gotten social conservatives comfortable with the platform and now that they’re placated [Team Romney] is going to undercut them with this change.”

Speaking to one person familiar with the rules changes who supports them, I’m told a number of people support the changes because they see the current rules as efforts by Michael Steel to “liven up” the process, but all it did was run up the cost and drag it out. “Are we really going to keep the status quo because the guy who brought the convention to hurricane country in hurricane season thought they were a good idea?” the delegate asked.

The Rules Committee will meet at 2:00 p.m. today in Tampa to consider the rules changes. If they make it through the committee, delegates are telling me they promise a huge floor fight and there’s no guarantee Team Romney will get its way given the current make up of the delegates in Tampa.

The Romney campaign and his allies at the RNC are making a big mistake if they are trying to shut out conservatives. The last thing they need to do is alienate conservative/Tea Party voters in the most important election where every vote will count.

Make your voices heard....Contact your state Republican Party offices and ask them to oppose any rule that shuts out grassroots activists:

RNC Convention, Formal Nomination Of Mitt Romney....Where I Stand...Where Will You Stand?

This is the week, in which Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will be formally nominated as the Republican nominees for President and Vice President, at the Republican Convention in Tampa, FL.

If you've followed this blog during the GOP primary, you will remember that I was one who was very hard, tough, and critical on Mitt Romney. I questioned his conservative credentials. Since the time the primary has ended, I've still have criticisms (this "Nice guy, failed President" BS needs to stop.). But by and large Romney has proven he is head and shoulders a better candidate than John McLame was in 2008. Sarah Palin was the only bright spot on that ticket, and the only one who wanted to win.

Selecting Paul Ryan as his running mate was a stroke of genius for Romney, and has brought about an enthusiasm for the GOP ticket that was missing.

So where do I stand, since Mitt Romney wasn't my choice?

Well, on Election Day 2012, I will without hesitation vote for the team of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. Because to put it simply....Obama and Biden MUST BE DEFEATED, in order to save and preserve this nation.

To vote for any other candidate (note those of you who are thinking Gary Johnson or Virgil Goode) is to vote for Obama by proxy.

Let me sum it up with the late Andrew Breitbart's words from CPAC 2012, which was his last major speech before his untimely death a couple of weeks later.

I will march behind who ever our candidate is. Because if we don't, we lose. There are two paths! There are two paths! One is America, the other is Occupy! One is America, the other is Occupy! And I don't care, and along the way... I've realized over the last three years that the Republican Party and the conservative movement is not what ABC, CBS and NBC put on the screen. They try to portray you in the worst possible light... and when I travel around the United States meeting people in the Tea Party who care — black, white, gay, straight — anyone that's willing to stand next to me to fight the progressive left, I will be in that bunker, and if you're not in that bunker 'cause you're not satisfied with this candidate, more than shame on you — you're on the other side!

That's all you need to know!  Where will you stand?

Hollywood Stunned! Obama-Critical Documentary "2016" Exceeds Box Office Expectations

Is this a foreshadowing of what will come in November? Author Dinesh D'Souza's film "2016: Obama's America" ranked number four in box office receipts this week, and grossed higher than the top three movies that opened this weekend. (Entertainment Weekly)
In fourth, the conservative doc 2016: Obama’s America expanded from 169 to 1,091 theaters and grossed a hefty $2.3 million as a result. The independently produced and distributed documentary scored a higher gross than the three studio-distributed titles that entered theaters this weekend. Not only did 2016‘s national ad campaign kick off in earnest this week, it has recently enjoyed a groundswell of curiosity and is riding a wave of Republican National Convention publicity. The film is no Fahrenheit 911 just yet — that film earned $119.2 million — but its takeoff at the box office is notable.

2016 may earn about $7 million over the three day frame, which would give it almost $10 million total. That’s enough to make the film the second-highest grossing documentary (behind Disney’s Chimpanzee) this year, surpassing Bully‘s $3.5 million cume, as well as the highest grossing conservative documentary of all time — passing Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, which grossed $7.7 million in 2008. To be clear, its performance isn’t shocking, despite the numerous headlines suggesting it is — just look at the film’s trajectory over the past few weeks.

Stacy on the Right: Movie Review: 2016 Obama’s America

I honestly could not wait to see this film. So much so that in hot anticipation of a sold out show, we bought our tickets on Fandango three days ahead. So glad that we did because the show was indeed standing room only. And by the way, it’s the number one seller on Fandango.com.

Narcissist In Chief Obama Honors Neil Armstrong By Posting Photo Of Himself

How did Richard Milhous Obama pay salute the memory of the first man who walked on the moon, Neil Armstrong?

By posting a photo of himself on his Tumblr page tribute (h/t SooperMexican).

Well, it could have been worse, Obama might have posted this instead.

Seriously, I thought Bill Clinton was a class A narcissist. Obama has outdone him in the "it's all about ME!" department.

Neil Armstrong - R.I.P.

The first man who walked on the moon died yesterday.

Top NASA officials and former astronauts praised the late Neil Armstrong on Saturday, saying he made a major mark on space exploration.

"When I think of Neil, I think of someone who for our country was dedicated enough to dare greatly," John Glenn, the the first American to orbit the Earth, said in an interview with the Associated Press. "He showed a skill and dedication that was just exemplary. I'll miss him not only for that but just as a close personal friend."

NASA administrator Charles Bolden added in a statement: "As long as there are history books, Neil Armstrong will be included in them. Besides being one of America's greatest explorers, Neil carried himself with grace and humility that was an example to us all."

Armstrong became the first person to set foot on the moon, on July 20, 1969, when he said: "That's one small step for man; one giant leap for mankind."

The grainy black-and-white television images of him taking his first lunar stroll were watched by an estimated 600 million people worldwide — and firmly established him as one of the great heroes of the 20th century.

Armstrong, who had heart surgery in early August, died Saturday in Cincinnati at 82, said NASA spokesman Bob Jacobs. The cause was complications from cardiovascular procedures, his family announced.

He was never comfortable with celebrity he saw as an accident of fate, for stepping on the moon ahead of fellow astronaut Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin. The reticent, self-effacing Armstrong would shun the spotlight for much of the rest of his life.

In a rare public appearance, in 2000, Armstrong cast himself in another light: "I am, and ever will be, a white-sock, pocket-protector, nerdy engineer."

Prof. Jacobson at Legal Insurrection attached the following video and noted.

I was 10 years old at sleep away camp. I remember them bringing us into the rec hall to watch on the black and white televisions. I can’t tell you whether it was live or a replay, but they wanted us to see it. At that age it didn’t mean much, then.

It means so much more now, when I think where we are as a country.

In this moment of remembrance on the death of Neil Armstrong, I’m actually quite sad. And not just because of his death.

Armstrong may have shrugged off the celebrity of being the first man to walk on the moon, but he was vocal in opposition to the downsizing of NASA's mission, and how it would put the US on the path to mediocrity.

I was way too young (one month and 18 days old) to have witnessed the moon landing or know what was going on at the time. But the footage of the landing afterwards, and our space exploration in the following years and decades was an illustration of the greatness of our nation.

Other tributes:

Farwell Neil Armstrong - Midnight Blue - "While saddened by his sudden passing, it is disheartening to know that there is no generation of moon landing astronauts that followed in his footsteps. Just imaging where we would be if we continued the mission to the moon..and beyond."

Extreme? Who Are You Calling "Extreme," Mr. Obama?

Richard Milhous Obama have an interview to his lapdogs at the Associated with Obama Press (AP) in which he accused the soon to be GOP Presidential Nominee Mitt Romney of having "extreme" views (Yahoo News, via FreeRepublic).

President Barack Obama said Mitt Romney has locked himself into "extreme positions" on economic and social issues and would surely impose them if elected, trying to discredit his Republican rival at the biggest political moment of his life.

In an interview with The Associated Press, Obama said Romney lacks serious ideas, refuses to "own up" to the responsibilities of what it takes to be president, and deals in factually dishonest arguments that could soon haunt him in face-to-face debates.

..."I can't speak to Governor Romney's motivations," Obama said. "What I can say is that he has signed up for positions, extreme positions, that are very consistent with positions that a number of House Republicans have taken. And whether he actually believes in those or not, I have no doubt that he would carry forward some of the things that he's talked about."

...The president suggested that whatever Romney really stands for in life is secondary to the promises Romney has made in the campaign.

In explaining his accusation of "extreme" positions, the president cited Romney's call for across-the-board tax cuts that Obama said would mostly help the rich at the expense of everyone else and cost the nation $5 trillion. Obama singled out Romney's opposition to tax credits for producers of wind energy, the kind of issue that carries large political resonance in a battleground state such as Iowa.

Here we go with the 30 year Democrat broken record that tax cuts are only for the wealthy. Never mind that the Reagan model created the economic recovery and expansion that set the growth of America economy for decades. In other words, to Obama, Debbie "Thunderlips" Wasserman-Schultz, Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the Demonrats, the idea that people are emboldened to take charge of their own destiny through free-market enterprise, the very idea that founded this nation, is extreme.

Really? Is that extreme? I have a better idea of what "extreme" is.

Extreme is someone who is pro infanticide (partial birth abortion)...

Even arguing against saving the life of a baby who survived a botched abortion, calling it a "fetus."

Extreme is someone who sat in a racist, separatist, America-hating "church" for 20 years, hearing "sermons" about "G-Damn America."

and uttered racism.

Extreme is someone who attacks the peaceful, Constitution supporting Tea Party movement, but supports violent, Left wing anarchists, crappers, anti-Semites and squatters called "Occupy Wall Street."

Extreme is someone who believes that the government is responsible for every entrepreneur who is successful.

Extreme is someone who had as an unconstitutional "green-jobs" czar a racist, Communist, cop-killer supporter who not only signed a 9/11 truth petition, but held a rally the night after the 9/11 attacks that sided with the terrorists.

Extreme is a President who thinks the Constitution is a scrap of paper, and he can usurp Congress and the Separation of Powers by executive order.

Mitt Romney is a lot of things. He might have not been the first choice for many of us in the GOP Primary. But one thing is for sure, Mitt Romney is no extremist.

You're the extremist, Mr. Obama, in thought, word and deed.

Obama Campaign Slams Romney For Birth Certificate Joke...Never Mind Obama Joked About Birth Certificate (VIDEO)

Jim "Punch Back Twice As Hard" Messina of the Obama Astroturf Campaign, fired off this e-mail in righteous indigation after Mitt Romney made a joke today that no one had ask for his birth certificate.

So Mitt Romney went to a new low, huh Jim? Never mind that the Obama Regime and surrogates have accused Romney of giving a woman a deadly case of cancer, of not paying his taxes, and of being a felon.

If the "birther" jokes are so funny, then why did Richard Milhous Obama make jokes about them during the 2011 White House Correspondent's Dinner? I've got the video here Jimmy boy!

Ben Howe even shows how the Obama Astroturf Campaign sold mugs with the birth certificate as well.

Maybe Mitt Romney needs to talk about how he might have put his dog on the roof of a car, but at least he didn't eat Seamus, like the current President admittedly did.

DNC Convention 2012: Embracing Abortion & Radical Islamists

It looks like Richard Milhous Obama and the Democrat Party have found the way to get their mojo back at the polls in November, and they're so giddy at the gift the Democrat funded RINO Todd Akin gave them on a silver platter.

Abortion!

Forget that ObamaCare is hurting seniors by the $716 billion in cuts to Medicare. Forget that you, your wife, a relative or neighbor may be close to losing their house because they've been with out a job for over a year. Forget how food and gas prices are going through the roof. Forget that Iran is near the point of developing a nuclear weapon or how the radical Islamist Taliban is making headway into Afghanistan. No, abortion is the winning issue (Legal Insurrection).

There is something sickening over the Democratic National Convention turning into an abortion-fest, a celebration of the right to kill one’s own unborn child. It may be a right, but it’s a curious right on which to orchestrate a national convention.

The DNC is turning into an abortion-fest because of Todd Akin’s comments about women who do or do not get pregnant as a result of rape. John Hinderaker (via Instapundit) notes:

The Democrats apparently think they have hit the jackpot with Todd Akin’s moment of stupidity, but I’m not so sure. How, exactly, are they going to take advantage of Akin’s blunder? By talking ceaselessly about abortion.

In order to capitalize politically on Akin, the Democrats are happy to expose the extreme extremism of their party and their leader, who of necessity would allow the killing of even fully viable fetuses late in a pregnancy in order to be consistent with their view of autonomy of decision:

It's beyond the infanticide known as "partial birth abortion." Obama argued as an Illinois State Senator against a bill that would have provided medical care to a baby who survived a botched abortion.

Here's the audio, found by John McCormick at the Weekly Standard.

As I understand it, this puts the burden on the attending physician who has determined, since they were performing this procedure, that, in fact, this is a nonviable fetus; that if that fetus, or child - however way you want to describe it - is now outside the mother's womb and the doctor continues to think that its nonviable but there's, lets say, movement or some indication that, in fact, they're not just out limp and dead, they would then have to call a second physician to monitor and check off and make sure that this is not a live child that could be saved. Is that correct?

Obama's view on abortion is so extreme that he thinks the life of a child who survived a botched abortion should not be protected.  Think about that.

Liberals complained about Pat Buchanan's "Culture War" speech at the 1992 GOP Convention, during a time when America was coming out of a recession, yet they are the ones who are taking the culture war to a new level...celebrating a culture of death by sugarcoating it as a "choice" in order to scare women voters.

My friend Tabitha Hale had a great response to this in her post "My uterus is not a political tool."

The problem with this is that it’s blatant manipulation and a completely transparent pander to women. Even more offensive than a man ignorant of the effects of rape on my body is a woman who believes that my vote can be bought with shrieking rhetoric about how Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney want to be all up in my uterus.

Do Democrats truly not believe that women care about other issues? Women have been, far and away, more impacted by this recession than any other demographic. Unemployment, the national debt, education, health care… these are all issues that directly and significantly impact women and their families. There are many women who do not vote with their uterus. It’s insulting to assume that we’re just dumb enough to be terrified into voting against our own interests. It’s how they continue to enslave the black community. And the Hispanic community. And the gay community. No group is only impacted by one issue.

Bringing Romney and Ryan into this was a cheap political ploy with absolutely no relevance. The big picture issue is that government funded birth control and abortion access do not equate women’s health care. Wal Mart sells birth control for $4, and many of us would never have an abortion. If we did, there are plenty of places that would provide that procedure. There are no plans to shut that down. Unfortunately.

Seriously, Democrats don't care about women's health care, because (to parrot the line used by the pro-abortion crowd) if a health-decision is supposed to be between a woman and her doctor, then why is the government, via ObamaCare, getting in between women and men of all ages and their doctors? It's all a ploy to scare certain demographics. More importantly, it's a hell of a distraction from Obama and the Democrats' disastrous record of 40 plus weeks of eight percent and higher unemployment and the lowest labor force participation than the Carter years, plus an out of control spending and national debt.

If making abortion the front and center issue to distract from the Obama Depression isn't bad enough, there's the fact that the DNC is embracing radical Islamists at their convention (Dan Riehl at Breitbart.com).

The first Muslim to deliver the daily prayer to the U.S. House of Representatives was black convert Siraj Wahaj in 1991. It was an artful prayer, though he would deliver a very different message elsewhere just one year later. His ideas of what he really wanted as regards our federal government were fairly clear, ake my word, if 6-8 million Muslims unite in America, the country will come to us."

Later, in 1995, he was a character witness for Omar Abdel Rahman, or blind sheikh, who was found guilty of conspiracy to overthrow the American government. The U.S. attorney for New York even listed Wahaj as an "unindicted persons who may be alleged as co-conspirators" in that case.

Yet, none of that seems to matter to Democrats intent on focusing on Islam as part of their party's upcoming national convention with an event, "Jumah at the 2012 DNC."

The Democratic National Convention will open with a focus on Islam. 20,000 Muslims are expected to attend according to the Bureau of Indigenous Muslim Affairs (BIMA), the national Muslim American non-profit coordinating the two days of events they claim are non-political.

As noted by M. Zuhdi Jasser here, the leaders of Jumah at the 2012 DNC are Jibril Hough and the same Siraj Wahhaj. "They are radicals," writes Jasser. "These individuals embrace Islamist supremacy and have demonstrated support for radical ideologies."

Jasser also writes:

If that is who the DNC is consorting with then all Americans, Democrats should be concerned. There are many patriotic Muslims who are part of both parties, and when radical ideologues like this do a demonstration of “solidarity” in the name of our faith and choose an imam like Siraj Wahhaj who I saw with my own eyes in 1995 seditiously say it his duty and our duty as Muslims to replace the US Constitution with the Quran- then we need to speak up!

Their jummah (group) prayer is supposedly against the Patriot Act, the NYPD, and Islamophobia and is actually NOT about our democracy but about empowering their Islamist and MB sympathetic groups into the very fabric of the political system so that Americans become anesthetized. We need American Muslims to speak up and marginalize these radicals. The DNC needs to understand and reject them because of their radical history and ideas.

If this is what the Democrat Party of 2012 thinks will keep them in power, then they are the ones who should be marginalized, and deserve a rebuke in November that is even worse than the drubbing they received in 2010.

Why Does Sen. Barbara Boxer Hate Unborn Children?

Barbara "Call Me Senator" Boxer from California came up with her latest lunacy just the other day.

According to Boxer (via the Huffington ComPost) the Republican Party and Todd Akin (who I and most any conservative/Republicans with half a brain have distanced themselves from) have issues with our mothers or first wives, and that makes us want to restrict abortions or conduct some "war on women."

That's not only crazy, it's outright stupid!

So, in turnaround, I'd like to ask: Why does Barbara Boxer hate unborn children? Fair question to ask. I mean, she's one of the most vocal proponents not just of "choice" but abortion on demand, including the barbaric partial birth abortion, which anyone with a heart knows is infanticide. Is is some sort of modern feminist idea of having power over the evil patriarchy? I mean, come on, we know how much Babsie hates the military and men in uniform, proving she has to be superior than them.

How someone as vapid as Boxer could even be elected Senator is the biggest question of all.

I feel sorry for Mr. Boxer.

Two New Films: "The Hope & The Change" and "2016 - Obama's America"

There's two movies I wanted to alert you about, and let you see the trailers to.

"The Hope and The Change" is a film put together by our friends at Citizens United and Stephen K. Bannon ("The Undefeated") that chornicles the experiences of 40 Democrats and Independent voters from around the country who cast their ballots in 2008 for Richard Milhous Obama and got...well, let the preview tell you...

That's some trailer!

A free showing of this film will be held in Tampa, FL next week during the Republican convention. DVDs can be ordered at the film website.

The next film is entitled "2016 - Obama's America," co-directed by Dinesh D'Souza and John Sullivan, and produced by Gerald R. Molen (producer of "Schindler's List"). D'Souza is the best selling author of the books "What's So Great About America" and "What's So Great About Christianity." The film is based on his 2010 book "The Roots of Obama's Rage" (which I'm currently reading).

The film opened in a limited engagement to a few select theatres in July, and is now the number two grossing non-nature documentary of the year, expanding to theatres nationwide this weekend (Hollywood Reporter).

An anti-Barack Obama documentary based on conservative author Dinesh D’Souza’s book The Roots of Obama’s Rage will expand nationwide this weekend after doing notable business in select markets across the country -- including in liberal-minded New York City.

Overall, 2016: Obama's America grossed an impressive $1.2 million last weekend as it upped its theater count from 61 to 169 for a total gross of $2 million, the second-best showing of the year for a documentary after Bully ($3.2 million). That doesn't include nature documentaries Chimpanzee ($29 million) and To the Arctic ($7.6 million).

It's already the No. 12 political documentary of all time -- a market that Michael Moore has cornered -- as well as the No. 2 conservative documentary after Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed ($7.7 million).

On Friday, Obama's America, co-directed by D'Souza and John Sullivan, will be playing in 1,075 theaters in an aggressive expansion that comes on the eve of the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla., which gets underway Aug. 27.

Obama's America, distributed by Rocky Mountain Pictures, first began rolling out in mid-July and has been adding theaters slowly. On Aug. 10, it opened in a number of markets, including New York and Los Angeles (including the conservative Simi Valley).

Some in Hollywood were stumped by the amount of business the documentary did at the Regal Union Square Stadium 14 in Lower Manhattan, situated in a liberal neighborhood where films from the likes of Moore have done huge business.

You can look for a theatre near you at the film's website for where and when it is playing.

Damn You, Todd Akin! You've Become The Next Clayton Williams

Todd Akin said a really stupid and unintelligent thing on Sunday, talking about "legitimate rape" and alleging (without proof) that a woman's body would automatically miscarry a child conceived out of rape, because of the stress.

I mean, c'mon!!!! Where the hell did you get that information?

It was hoped, by many of us in the conservative movement (including this blogger), he would realize the race was bigger than him and withdraw before a deadline of 5 p.m. today.

The fool didn't do it, and with it, the chances of Republicans picking up a seat held by an unpopular and corrupt incumbent (Claire "Air" McCaskill) are dimming. This could also affect Republican take over of the Senate and the possibility of killing ObamaCare.

McCaskill is happy and thinks he shouldn't drop out. Why shouldn't she be happy? She and the Democrats spent $1.5 million to help him in his primary win against John Brunner and the Sarah Palin backed Sarah Steelman. So she and the Democrats got what they wanted...another distraction from her disastrous record and the failure of the Obama Regime.

Gaffes are a hard thing to come back from, especially one that has to do with the horrible crime of rape. One gaffe can also be a precursor to a repeat offender status (which Joe Bite Me Biden gets a pass for by the media). In that sense, because Akin has put his ego ahead of the best interest of the nation and his party, he's becoming the 2012 version of Clayton Williams.

Who is Clayton Williams? He's a Texas oilman who acts like a stereotypical "good ole boy." He can be blamed in large part for Ann "Ma" Richards becoming Governor of Texas in 1990 because of a string of gaffes that began when he made a stupid "joke" to volunteers and the media at a cattle roundup.

He compared the cold, foggy weather spoiling the event to a rape, telling ranch hands, campaign workers and reporters around a campfire, ''If it's inevitable, just relax and enjoy it.''

Williams apologized, but that, as well as a few more instances of "foot in mouth" disease, cost him the election.

Another instance of repeated gaffes? How about Texas Agriculture Commissioner Reagan Brown, who lost the Democrat Primary in the early 1980s to Jim Hightower for a racial slur about Booker T. Washington that was caught on tape.

Yes, Brown was a Democrat, at a time when the state offices in Texas were largely controlled by Democrats, and before the party earned the protected by the media status it has today.

Mark Levin went off on Akin at the beginning of his radio show, deservedly so. Not only has Akin's boneheaded comment taken the focus off the failures of Obama, it's given the Democrats the opportunity to tar and feather every Republican with the comment and open up their usual talking points. Never mind that the Democrats embrace a serial gaffer like Vice President Joe Bite Me, or the drunk driving, woman drowner named Ted Kennedy. The keynote speaker for the DNC convention is alleged rapist Bill Clinton.

And guess what? A Democrat State Senator in Minnesota named Kerry Gauthier was caught having sex with a teenage boy. But what is dominating the news? Todd the Clod Akin.

Thanks a lot, asshole!

Sister Toldjah points to this article, indicating all might not be lost.

Akin made another appearance on Sean Hannity's radio show and, well, check out the audio at Legal Insurrection.

Hopefully, someone can force him out by September 25th, which is the final opportunity where a replacement can be added.

Obama Allegedly Used Racial Term "Boy" Toward Marco Rubio

Richard Milhous Obama likes to lecture America on civil discourse.

Once again, he needs to heed what he lectures the rest of us with. When seeing someone close to Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio, Obama threw not only a racial taunt in reference to the Hispanic senator, but also threatened violence (Politico, via Miami New Times).

Obama's trash-talking competitiveness, a trait that has defined him since his days on the court as a basketball-obsessed teenager in Hawaii, was on display one night last February, when the president spotted a woman he knew was close to Sen. Marco Rubio in a Florida hotel lobby. "Is your boy going to go for [vice president]?" the president asked her. Maybe, she replied.

"Well," he said, chuckling, according to a person who witnessed the encounter. "Tell your boy to watch it. He might get his ass kicked."

Of course, if someone had used that term toward Obama, the allegations of RAAAAACISM would be flying all over the place.

But since Marco Rubio is a Republican, Obama and any liberal Democrat can get away with racial or violent language.

Border Insecurity: Hidalgo County Texas Sheriff Claims Crime Rate Is Dropping, His Office Caught On Tape Faking Crime Stats

While the Obama Lapdog Media is feigning outrage at a boneheaded comment by a Missouri Senate Candidate and a drunken skinny dip by some Congressman in the Sea of Galilee, they are distracting from the Obama Regimes failed economic policies and failure to secure the US Border.

Evidence of this comes from my old stomping grounds of the Texas Rio Grande Valley (Bryan Preston, PJ Media).

Hidalgo County elected Democrat Guadalupe “Lupe” Treviño sheriff in 2004 and then re-elected him in 2008, and this spring he reportedly spent more than a half a million dollars to clinch the Democratic nomination for a third term as the county’s sheriff. In this heavily Democratic county, Treviño is a cinch to win that third term. The former Austin police officer claims that Hidalgo County has seen a dramatic reduction of violent crime during his tenure. Sheriff Treviño dismisses the presence and influence of drug cartels in his border county. To hear Sheriff Treviño talk, domestic violence may be a bigger issue in Hidalgo County. But as a local news story that was published August 10, 2012, shows, many residents of Hidalgo County do not feel safe and do not believe that crime is down at all. They also do not believe that Sheriff Treviño’s office is concerned about them.

The federal government has granted Hidalgo County about $6 million to fight crime since 2004. That money has gone to the county’s anti-narcotics efforts and has funded the purchase of sophisticated video surveillance towers that are supposed to be used to monitor the border and watch over troubled neighborhoods. One grant operation, called Stonegarden, has enabled the county to purchase several vehicles and video sky towers, which some residents allege have been used for non-police and even political purposes when they’re not being used to prevent crimes.

...In March of 2011, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said, “There is a perception that the border is worse now than it ever has been. That is wrong. The border is better now than it ever has been.” Napolitano went on to say that violence from Mexico’s drug war has not spilled over into the U.S., citing statistics that show crime along the border has either stayed flat or even gone down. Napolitano has visited the border several times to hail the cooperation between local and federal authorities and has visited Hidalgo County, where her friend Lupe Treviño is the sheriff.

During Napolitano’s visit in February 2012, Sheriff Treviño noted: “We tell the truth and say violent crime is down and cartel violence has been kept south of the river, but we get criticized because we say we need money. If we’re going to continue to lower the violent crime rate, we have to have a sustained maintenance. That’s why we need the continued influx of federal funds.”

But how accurate are the statistics that the local law enforcement agencies send their states and ultimately to the federal government? PJM/PJTV has obtained exclusive hidden camera video from inside the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office. In this video, a crime analyst – the person responsible for entering official data into the Uniform Crime Reporting system from the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office – admits that the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office manipulates its crime statistics systematically.

Deputy: Hey what’s up? (unintelligible question)

Analyst: No, I can do it for you.

Deputy: Cool. (unintelligible, but he asks about changing a code)

Analyst: Huh?

Deputy: (unintelligible)

Analyst: I guess. Cause he’s the one changing everything.

Deputy: Changing the stats?

Analyst: (nods) He’s the one…

Deputy: Well how is he changing them?

Analyst: He reads the reports and fiddles with you if it’s not linking. Like, with a robbery, he redrizzles it down to a simple, like an, if it’s like uh, aggravated assault (looks away to see if anyone can hear), he orders a downgrade to assault. Or if…

Deputy: It’s real simple to do because most people are gonna, think you’re gonna have more.

(Analyst tilts head skeptically)

Deputy: You can justify it both ways.

Analyst: Yeah, but some of them, no. (crosstalk) Like, as far as the standards go, from the UCR, yeah.

Deputy: So. You can get in trouble.

Analyst: Hm?

Deputy: You can get in trouble?

Analyst: Not us, but…yeah the sheriff.

Deputy: Him (points in the direction of the sheriff’s office).

Analyst: Yeah. Not me.

Preston's PJ Media story is the first of a three part series.

Interestingly, Sheriff Trevino was confronted with allegations that run contrary to what he is claiming (RioGrandeGuardian deadlink, via FreeRepublic.com).

At a candidates’ forum on Tuesday, challenger Geovani Hernandez claimed the Valley was “infested with drug cartel members.” He also told the Guardian that his secret weapon in securing victory at the polls could be the Women in Action group that has sought to galvanize residents in Hidalgo County colonias.

Hidalgo County Sheriff Guadalupe ‘Lupe’ Treviño said Hernandez’s claims about the level of infiltration by drug cartels in the Valley are greatly exaggerated. He also questioned who was funding Hernandez’s campaign.

Tuesday evening’s lively debate was hosted by Hidalgo County Texas Democratic Women. More than 200 people were in attendance at the Palm Aire hotel in Weslaco. It was the first time Treviño and Hernandez had gone head to head at a political forum.

“We have got to be real. I have walked the streets. I have talked to the people. All of us know we are infested with drug cartel members,” Hernandez told the audience. “We need to protect our families. What happens here affects the rest of the United States of America. I have worked terrorism, I have worked borders before. I do not protect drug dealers.”

Treviño responded with a personal assessment of his seven and a half years as sheriff. He said he had focused on three major issues, reducing the crime rate, community outreach and reducing domestic violence. He said success had been achieved in all these areas.

“In the last three years we have reduced the violent crime rate by 64 percent. Just last year we reduced it by 24 percent. We have made thousands of house visits. We have initiated a community centered project that receives statewide recognition and awards for reducing crime. We have developed a one of a kind domestic abuse program that targets the reoffending subjects,” Treviño said.

Under my leadership we have improved the quality of life. I am the only candidate in this campaign that has been shown to be trustworthy, that has demonstrated integrity and proven to be credible. I have been tested and I have proven myself.”

...Hernandez told the Guardian he welcomes public scrutiny of where his campaign funding is coming from.

“I think it is a good idea to scrutinize the funding of both candidates. The Treviño campaign is spending 15 times more than the position of sheriff is worth. It makes you start thinking about the integrity of people. If you look at my report, I am not taking any big donations, just what I need to run a campaign,” Hernandez said.

Hernandez also said he stands by his “infested” remarks. He told voters to check a report by the Texas Department of Public Safety. “Let’s get real. Everybody knows what is going on. We have different cartels operating here. It is ridiculous to say they are not.”

So, how can you say you're being honest, Sheriff Trevino, when it appears your office is fudging the numbers just to help Secretary of Homeland InSecurity Incompantano?

And I haven't even brought up how the Mexican Military made a brief incursion in the Hidalgo County town of Mission in February 2011, and near Donna, TX. There's even been reports that Islamic terrorists are suspected of setting up shop along the Texas/Mexico border.

"Occupy The Truth" Rally Against Media Bias Held Today In Cleveland, OH

Earlier today, Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit, as well as Michelle Malkin, Andrew Marcus, and Dana Loesch, were some of the prominent conservatives who led a rally in Cleveland, OH against media bias of plans to commit a bridge bombing by Occupiers.  Jim has a write up at GP, as well as photos.

"Occupy The Truth" drew 1,500 people to the rally and march to the Cuyahoga National Park Bridge, the target of Occupy bombers.

In May, five men were arrested of attempting to bomb the bridge and the Federal Reserve building. Some of the suspects were linked to the Occupy Cleveland movement, but you wouldn't have known that in reports by the national media.

Interesting also, on the subject of national media corruption, that they have mostly not had an interest in the details of the shooter at the Family Research Council in Washington DC this past week either.

Joe Biden's "Chains" - Plays a Deck Of Race Cards But Led Lynch Mob Against Justice Thomas

This is hilarious!

Chris Plante, the morning host of WMAL, Washington DC's talk station, put on his website a recording made by his engineer of Joe Biden singing "Chain of Fools," in response to Vice President Bite Me's statement to a mostly black audience that Mitt Romney would "put y'all back in chains!"

Of course, Bite Me didn't just play a race card, he played an entire deck with that slur. Even Democrat former Governor of Virginia Doug Wilder, who is black, was offended by Biden's "chains" comment.

It might be inconvenient for Bite Me, but while he tries to scare blacks to not stray from the Democrat Plantation, he was the leader of the Senate Judiciary Lynch Mob against Clarence Thomas in 1991 (CNSNews).

“Joe Biden has had his finger in every tawdry hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee in my memory,” (Mark) Levin said. “He has lowered the standard of debate. He has politicized the confirmation process. He has used his position to defame a number of nominees, including Bob Bork and Clarence Thomas, and there’s no road too low that he won’t travel.”

...In the Thomas hearings, meanwhile, Biden allowed another “smear campaign” – one which “went from partisanship to being very personal,” (Stephen) Calabresi said.

“The Thomas hearings were, if anything, even worse, because they descended into the personal, and became really, almost a circus because of Sen. Biden’s inability to control the hearings,” he added.

Hausknecht said Biden allowed the Thomas hearings “to degenerate” into “a personal show trial” by letting University of Oklahoma law professor Anita Hill make accusations about alleged improper remarks and actions she attributed to Thomas.

Levin said Biden’s handling of the case had reduced the Senate confirmation hearing to the discussion of “pubic hairs on Coke cans” – a reference to the most notorious allegation Hill made of a “sexually harassing” comment, supposedly from Thomas.

Thomas’s recent autobiography, “My Grandfather’s Son: A Memoir,” accuses Biden of unfair treatment, noting that Biden had promised Thomas “would be considered on the basis of his qualifications alone.”

#NEW TONE: Liberal Spits In Face of Female Romney Supporter

The intolerant Left strikes again, this afternoon in Paul Ryan's home state of Wisconsin (PostCrescent.com, via Twitchy)

A bus tour event on behalf of Mitt Romney turned ugly Friday afternoon when a protester interrupted a rally and spit in a supporter’s face.

The event featured Wisconsin state Sen. Alberta Darling and Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch. During Darling’s remarks, the protester, Mary Hoglund, 83, of Appleton, interrupted the event to ask about Republican opposition to Planned Parenthood. A local Romney supporter began arguing with Hoglund, who then spit in her face. Hoglund was escorted out, and received medical attention for a scratch she received on her neck. The supporter declined to give her name as she left the event, but said she was unharmed.
...Chris Hanson, owner of the benefits provider, said the altercation caught her off guard. “This is a private business and we invited a small group of clients and friends,” Hanson said. “Whatever happened to grace and mercy in politics? This isn’t a town hall meeting.”
Ben Sparks, a Wisconsin-based Romney spokesman, called the incident a “stunt” and said the woman refused to leave when asked.
One of the old liberal hag's friends played the victim card.
Romney protester Kathy Lefebvre, of Green Bay, was escorted out with Hoglund. “I’ve never experienced anything like that before, to me it’s unacceptable,” Lefebvre said. “Getting upset is one thing, but (Romney supporters) attacked Mary.”
Mary Jones, of Oneida, attended the event and was standing in the crowd of two dozen people near the altercation. “It was very disrespectful,” Jones said. “One woman decided to be rude and was politely asked to leave. It was shocking.”

For those who keep track of liberal incivility, incidents like this aren't shocking. Liberals act incivil, and yet blame conservatives for all the "hate" and "incivility" in politics today.

I guess the Romney supporter won't be getting a phone call from Richard Milhous Obama.

LGBT Activist Behind Shooting At Conservative, Traditional Marriage Group - Family Research Council....Silence From White House

In Washington DC late this morning, a gunman shot a security guard at the offices of the Family Research Council, a conservative group that is also pro-traditional marriage.

Even the Leftist Huffington ComPost wrote that the gunman made negative comments about the group before shooting.

Anne Sorock, who writes at William Jacobson's Legal Insurrection, has confirmed that the shooter was volunteering at a DC area LGBT group.

It has just been confirmed that Family Research Council shooting suspect Floyd Corkins II had been volunteering at the DC Center for the LGBT Community for the past six months.

From the AP:

David Mariner is executive director of The DC Center for the LGBT Community. He says Corkins had been volunteering at the center for about the past 6 months. Mariner describes Corkins as “kind, gentle and unassuming.”

Corkins, in his late 20s, is the suspect in the shooting that occurred in the lobby of the Family Research Council headquarters in downtown Washington, D.C., Wednesday morning. According to law enforcement officials, Corkins made negative comments about the FRC prior to shooting security guard Leo Johnson in the arm. Corkins also reportedly had a Chick-fil-A bag with him at the time.

As of 6pm Wednesday evening, the White House has not released a statement regarding the shooting

So why hasn't President Obama, who has been so quick to attack alleged political incivility in the instance of the Tucson AZ shooting in January 2011 and the Rush Limbaugh/Sandra the Fluke controversy, taken the time to go after these uncivil leftists such as Corkins and the Occupy bowel movement?

Sorock noted earlier at Legal Insurrection that the FRC has been attacked as a hate group by the ambulance chasers at the Southern Poverty Law Center, and also been attacked by the pro-gay Human Rights Watch. No comment has come from any of those groups yet.

Richard Milhous Obama, your silence is deafening.

Newt Obliterates CNN's Piers Morgan "You Guys Sound Like Extension Of Obama Campaign"

Classic Newt, nailing the Obama Lapdog Piers Morgan of CNN (HotAir).

PIERS MORGAN, HOST: I suppose the fundamental debate that’s going to be had, though, will come down to whether the Republicans can sell to the American people that they are really concerned about jobs, about people’s livelihoods, and all the rest of it. If they’re also scratching the backs of their rich and wealthy members, which is clearly I think the flaw in the Ryan plan is that it just does. I mean, if you’re very wealthy, you’re going to be doing a lot better out of Paul Ryan than you would out of Barack Obama who believes fundamentally the rich should pay more tax.

NEWT GINGRICH: You know, I don’t want to sound disrespectful, but I do wonder sometimes if you guys all get off in a little club and learn a brand new mantra and then all repeat it mindlessly. The fact is, these kinds of things were said about Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan’s tax cut – which was developed by Jack Kemp who Paul Ryan worked for – Ronald Reagan’s tax cut raised more people to middle class status, took more people out of poverty, created more jobs.

You know, this is the core thing that liberals don’t get. If you want to have jobs, you have to encourage job creators. If you discourage job creators, if you engage in class warfare, if you do what Barack Obama’s been doing, you have what we currently have. This is the worst recovery in 75 years.

Now, nobody in the media seems to want to come to grips with the fact that the Obama economic policy is a disaster for the poor. Look at the unemployment rate for black teenagers. Look at the unemployment rate for Latino teenagers. At what point do we hold the president accountable for a policy which is crippling the poor in America by crushing the economy under big government?

Ryan and Romney represent a different approach. And I think there’s this mantra you guys almost sound like you’re an extension of the Obama campaign. The Ryan/Romney plan empowers middle class Americans to get a job. When they get a job, their income goes up. They pay more taxes. They are independent. They’re able to live their own lives.

GOP Names Radical Islamist Friendly Chris Christie Keynote Speaker At Convention...Passed Over Sarah Palin

News is out that New Jersey Governor Chris "Krispy Kreme" Christie will be the keynote speaker of the Republican Convention in Tampa, FL. This comes after Sarah Palin stated she would not be speaking at the convention.

But is there more to this story? (Real Clear Politics, via FreeRepublic).

Shortly after her Fox News appearance, Palin released her statement to Van Susteren indicating that she would not speak at the convention, but the question of how prominent a role the Romney campaign had been willing to grant her remained.

A Romney campaign spokesperson declined to comment on whether Palin had been offered a prime-time speaking window in Tampa, rather than a less coveted daytime slot.

“Gov. Palin is an important voice and leader in the Republican Party,” Romney campaign manager Matt Rhoades said in an emailed statement to RCP. “While she will be missed in Tampa, Gov. Romney looks forward to working with her to defeat President Obama, turn our economy around and strengthen America’s middle class.”

The Romney campaign has long maintained an internal policy of speaking only glowingly of Palin in public settings, but their concern remains evident that she is a polarizing figure in an election that will be decided by voters with whom she is not popular.

BuzzFeed.com reported on Saturday that in alluding to the differences between the Ryan pick and McCain’s choice of Palin, one senior Romney adviser sarcastically referred in an email to “the number one policy wonk in the country . . . Sarah Palin.”

Commenters on the pro-Palin website Conservatives4Palin.com reacted angrily to the news that she would not speak at the convention, and a prominent GOP strategist with close ties to the Tea Party told RCP that he blamed the Romney campaign for not fully appreciating what Palin brings to the table.

“The Romney campaign from day one has missed her draw to the Tea Party,” the strategist said. “Even with Paul Ryan, they still miss that she’s been there from the beginning.”

Now this is utterly stupid of the Republican Party higher ups, ignoring a woman who has done the most to champion conservatism in the party since Ronald Reagan. Who is going out, endorsing various Senate and House candidates who are winning elections, and inspiring the future generation of conservative leaders? It's Sarah Palin.

Meanwhile, what is "Krispy Kreme" doing? He's not inspiring new leaders or helping elect new senators and representatives. Instead, he's attacking fellow Republicans as "bigots" for daring to call him out for playing footsie with radical Islamists (Family Security Matters).

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, often described as a "rock star" in the Republican Party, has finally addressed the criticism of his courtship of Islamists. On July 24, Christie held an Iftar dinner at the Governor's Mansion, attended by Imam Mohammad Qatanani, a Hamas-linked cleric whose deportation is sought by the Department of Homeland Security. Christie reiterated his support for Qatanani and made the case to his Muslim audience that he is their ally by ridiculing the "bigots" attacking him.

Christie opens by talking about the attacks on "our relationship" (between him and, as he would characterize it, the Muslim community of N.J.) that show a "gaze of intolerance that's going around our country that is disturbing." You can watch the entire speech on YouTube.

There's more at the link of this blowhard throwing his weight around at people who bring up legitimate concerns of the backgrounds of some of these people, including one person who was general counsel of a group that stated "Zionist commandos orchestrated the 9/11 terrorist attacks." Obviously, "Krispy Kreme" is not and never has been a conservative. He has more in common with losers like John McLame and his lapdog Lindsey Grahmnesty, than those who are promoting real conservative values and willing to call out corruption in their own party. Obviously, that endears him to the Bushies in the moderate RINO wing of the GOP who are running the party, and who need to be rooted out.

Paul Ryan is a good pick, but the "good ole boy" GOP establishment and Mitt Romney better not risk alienating the conservative base at a moment when they need all the support they can get. Sarah Palin has proven her leadership abilities and should be given more respect and prominence, not just shuffled off to the side to be the cheerleader for the guys.
