Thank You, Veterans

Veterans Day, 2012

It is the VETERAN, not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the VETERAN, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the VETERAN, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the VETERAN, not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the VETERAN, not the politician, Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the VETERAN, who salutes the Flag.

To all who have served our nation and worn the uniform of the branches of the US Military, especially to my father, (US Army & Texas National Guard); my step-grandfather, (US Navy - Seabees World War II); and my grandfather (Army Air Corps Cadet Pilot, killed 2/28/43), thank you for your service and all you did so that we might enjoy our freedom and way of life.
