NAACP Stands By Eric Holder, Condemns Voter ID Laws But Asks For ID At Convention...Can We Call Them Racists?

In an outrageous example of political demagoguery, the once honorable civil rights organization, the NAACP, stood by corrupt and racist Attorney General Eric Holder at their convention in Houston, TX (TPM Muckraker, via FreeRepublic).

An NAACP convention in Texas broke into chants of support for Attorney General Eric Holder on Tuesday after the body adopted a resolution condemning the House of Representatives for finding him in contempt of Congress.

The emergency resolution expresses strong support for Holder and calls upon NAACP members to contact their members of Congress to “express their outrage at the treatment of the first African-American and one of the best Attorney Generals in history.” It calls the contempt vote a “travesty of justice.”

Members of the audience broke into chants of “Holder, Holder” and raised green voting cards in support of the resolution after the attorney general’s speech before the civil rights group.

Of course, this is the same NAACP, under the leadership of the aptly named Been Jealous (pun intended), who slandered the Tea Party as "racist" with a similar resolution at their convention in 2010 where Michelle Obama spoke to attendees.

Keep in mind the NAACP has made a habit of this. They stood by the illegal dog fighter Michael Vick. One chapter even stood by the Duke Lacrosse alleged rape victim, even after she was proven to be a liar.

Holder has used the Department of InJustice as a political tool to attack states who seek to enforce immigration and voter integrity? Holder was sure concerned about voter integrity when it was "his people" who were blocking white voters at a Philadelphia polling place in 2008, so much so he dropped the case against them. Now, Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, as well as another federal agent and 300 citizens of Mexico, are dead from weapons Holder's InJustice Department allowed into Mexico under Fast and Furious, a scandal worse than either Watergate or even Monicagate because there's a body count.

Yet the NAACP stands by him. Is it because they are looking only at the color of his skin, instead of the content of Holder's character? Then that makes them racists, doesn't it?

And all this bull caca about Voter ID laws being equated to poll taxes (Southern Democrats did this). Who has been arrested for vote fraud? Democrats, fifty-two (52) of them, and .... oh my look at this, even a NAACP official is in prison for a voter fraud scheme.

But who demands an ID to hear Eric Holder speak today? The NAACP does, according to Katie Pavlich at Townhall.com. The Obama Campaign even checks IDs at the door of fundraisers, and Michelle Obama even had ID checks at a recent booksigning. So, what's wrong with having an ID to prove who you are to vote?

Let's be honest. The NAACP is no longer in the business of civil rights, but in the business of civil wrongs and acting as a front for the liberal Democrat Party. Far from meeting the ideas that Martin Luther King Jr. promoted of a color blind society, the NAACP (like most leftists) act like the 1960s never ended. They are, as George Washington Carver said in 1911, "grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs."
