Bill Maher, the de-facto head of the Democrat Party, attacked the GOP as "the party of the apes" because they won't repudiate black Republican (and I'm hoping Mitt Romney's running mate) Allen West (Politico).
“[T]he idea that the blame for our government’s dysfunction is equally shared by the parties just is a giant, steaming mound of horsesh*t and anyone who has paid attention to politics over the last 20 years knows it. Or as I like to call it, ‘The Rise of the Party of the Apes,’” the host of HBO’s “Real Time” wrote on his blog.
Maher singled out two politicians as extremists: West and Richard Mourdock, the Republican nominee for Senate who defeated longtime Sen. Dick Lugar in a primary last month.
“[T]ake Allen West. Seriously, take him to the padded cell and give him 20 CCs of the high test,” Maher wrote, noting West’s remark that some 80 House Democrats are Communists. “And not one Republican said, ‘Allen, come on. You’re making us look dumb.’ Not one of the Republican candidates for president said anything. Because in today’s Republican Party, that’s not even edgy anymore. They probably saw him later on and were like, ‘Word, Allen. Word.’ Because that’s how they think black people talk.”
Well, Bill, Allen West is right when he talked about the so-called "progressive" caucus being a bunch of commies and I gave one example of how he is right. Since you're the big million dollar Obama donor and have become the de-facto head of the DNC, maybe you should run for office. Perhaps you can move to West Virginia and run for Senate against Joe Manchin, because a seat held by former KKK Kleagle and Exaulted Cyclops Robert "Sheets" Byrd needs another liberal bigot to fill it.
Then there's the looney Alec Baldwin, who must not be too excited to get a marriage license. He slugged a New York Daily News photographer on the way out (Newsday).
The "30 Rock" star wasn't too happy when he was greeted by two Daily News photographers Tuesday morning after he and his fiancee Hilaria Thomas, 28, walked out of the New York City Clerk's marriage license bureau on Worth Street in lower Manhattan.
Baldwin, 54, is accused of grabbing photographer Jefferson Siegel as Siegel was snapping pictures of the couple and of assaulting Marcus Santos, who tried to intervene.
"He comes after me, starts shoving and punching me -- one time, right in the chin," Santos told the Daily News.
A NYPD spokeswoman said Santos filed a police report, but no charges had yet been filed. The Manhattan district attorney's office declined to comment.
Baldwin's spokesman said the actor did not throw punches and was simply defending himself and a pedestrian who was between the couple and the photographers.
Oh of course, it wasn't Alec the pampered celebrity lib's fault. Just like it wasn't his fault he inconvenienced a plane full of American Airlines passengers, or verbally abused his daugher...not his fault. But it gets worse. Alec even used anti-gay slurs towards the Daily News editor. Breitbart's Big Hollywood noted how Baldwin called editor Colin Myler "that English Queen" and "Her Highness" on Twitter.
Of course, if a prominent Republican or conservative had done any of this, it would be endless news on the lapdog media outlets. But Maher and Baldwin can get away with this, because (as Woody Allen said) they're "a bigot, but for the Left."
