Back From Sunny & Humid South Texas

Though there's been a couple of posts here in the last few days, and some Twittering, I've been away from MIM headquarters and took a journey to my old stomping grounds of the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.

Stormy clouds at Valley International Airport, Harlingen, TX
I planned to go to visit family as well as a gathering of old friends from way back when...many of whom I hadn't seen since high school, as we gathered at the Paradise of the South known as South Padre Island, TX.

I hadn't been to the island in 20 years since leaving the RGV, and it had grown up a lot in the time I'd been away...bigger condos, more nightclubs, a waterpark, and more hotel rooms with outrageous prices, especially this time of year.

I also had family health issues to attend to, that made it harder to leave. It's difficult to see parents get older and have health problems. It is then when you begin to realize how much you took for granted, and how much you might not have appreciated their guidence until you're old enough to really understand it.

So, now it's time to catch up and keep an eye out for what's coming down the road, beginning tommorrow with the Obamacare decision.

Stay tuned.
