Obama's Shameless Spiking Of The Football One Year After Bin Laden Dead UPDATE: SEALs Slam Obama For Using Bin Laden Raid

I his quest to distract America from the utter failures of his Regime, Richard Milhous Obama has fished the dead corpse of Osama bin Laden from his watery grave next to Luca Brazzi to become a 2012 Campaign prop (Weekly Standard, via GP).

"I'd just recommend that everybody take a look at people's previous statements in terms of whether they thought it was appropriate to go into Pakistan and to take out bin Laden," Obama said, obviously taking a shot at Romney. "I assume that people meant what they said when they said it. And that's been at least my practice. I said that I would go after bin Laden if we had a clear shot at him--and I did. If there are others who have said one thing and now suggest they would do something else, then I'd go ahead and let them explain it."

The president was visibly smirking as he made today's statement. It also mirrors a campaign ad the president released Friday, which likewise suggests that Romney wouldn't have killed bin Laden if he, as commander in chief, would have been in the same position.

Well, Mitt Romney not only responded that even Jimmy Carter would go after bin Laden (I kind of doubt that, remembering how he screwed up Operation Iron Eagle). He also said in 2007 any chance of capturing bin Laden in Pock-ee-stan was possible, but they'd "keep our options quiet."

So, just because Osama was killed by the Navy Seals under Obama's watch means that we should just forget how he is gutting the military (like he killed NASA) and raising the Tricare rates for servicemembers and veterans. We're supposed to forget how he dithered on the decision to send surge troops and win the war in Afghanistan. We're supposed to forget how radical Islam is growing even more in Egypt and the horn of Africa, thanks to Obama. We're supposed to forget how he wanted a civil trial for the 9/11 mastermind but wanted to go all out after Bush Administration officials and CIA operatives over waterboarding. Forget it all! Obama's tough, he killed bin Laden, Mmmmm Mmmmm Mmmmm!!!

Debra Burlingame, whose brother was the pilot of American Airlines Flight 77 that was taken over by al-Queda islamist hijackers and crashed into the Pentagon, was on WMAL this morning and weighed in on this.

"He's turned an evil terrorist who's responsible for the murder of 3,000 of our fellow human beings into a campaign talking point right up there with GM Motors. I've never in my lifetime heard a President speak to such a cynical lowdown politics. I really find it hurtful. I know the families I've spoken to are kind of gobsmacked by that. This is the same President who basically took the trial of KSM off the table for three years, right after they said they wanted to plead guilty, again, for politics. I can't think imagine an American President who has used something that is part of our national agony for his own selfish purposes. It wasn't Barack Obama who got Bin Laden. It was a team of Navy Seals who risked everything to get that guy. And if had gone sideways, those are the guys who would have paid with their lives."

Never mind that, despite all of Obama's bravado, all the evidence points out that the Golfer-in-Chief didn't make the "gutsy call" he wants to use as a campaign prop.

For all the using of bin Laden for a campaign prop, I seem to recall the liberal Democrats with their panties in a knot when a photo of President Bush was used as an RNC fundraiser. What a bunch of hypocrites Democrats are!

UPDATE: Former and current Navy SEALS are speaking out (UK Daily Mail).

A serving SEAL Team member said: ‘Obama wasn’t in the field, at risk, carrying a gun. As president, at every turn he should be thanking the guys who put their lives on the line to do this. He does so in his official speeches because he speechwriters are smart.

‘But the more he tries to take the credit for it, the more the ground operators are saying, “Come on, man!” It really didn’t matter who was president. At the end of the day, they were going to go.’

Chris Kyle, a former SEAL sniper with 160 confirmed and another 95 unconfirmed kills to his credit, said: ‘The operation itself was great and the nation felt immense pride. It was great that we did it.

‘But bin Laden was just a figurehead. The war on terror continues. Taking him out didn’t really change anything as far as the war on terror is concerned and using it as a political attack is a cheap shot.

‘In years to come there is going to be information that will come out that Obama was not the man who made the call. He can say he did and the people who really know what happened are inside the Pentagon, are in the military and the military isn’t allowed to speak out against the commander- in-chief so his secret is safe.’

"Breitbart Is Here" DC Chapter of FreeRepublic "Freeps" The White House Correspondent's Dinner

Thanks to Kerry Picket @ Washington Times Water Cooler, Weasel Zippers, Doug Ross, and Michelle's Mirror, Fire Andrea Mitchell, and Marathon Pundit for links, and all who Tweeted!

This evening, in Washington DC, the mainstream media, assorted celebrities and political figures came to the Washington DC Hilton Hotel for the White House Correspondent's Dinner.

As has been tradition for the last 13 years, the DC Chapter of was there to "Freep" what some in the media call the prom for nerds. In many ways, it was as if the mostly liberal media "one percenters" gathered to pat themselves on the back.

The theme for the FreeRepublic gathering was a salute to the late Andrew Breitbart, who was a member of the conservative website at one time. "Breitbart Is Here" (as seen in the sidebar) T-shirts were worn and signs were held.

As were other signs....

White House Propaganda Minister Jay Carney encountered the Freepers and got royally razzed.

When the motorcycles arrived bringing the Presidential limo, the Freepers welcomed Carney's boss, President Obama, with "Who Let The Dogs Out?"

Chris Matthews, host of MSDNC's Softball, came by and chatted for a couple of minutes, even telling your correspondent he could "go to hell" after being asked about the famous thrill up his leg.

Here's a montage of HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Jim Cramer, Michael Isakoff, F. Chuck Todd and Lanny Davis encountering conservatives in DC, and getting asked if these liberal "one percenters" will donate their food to the "99 percent" they claim to care about.

California Governor Moonbeam Jerry Brown took a break from destroying the once Golden State to attend.

Here's ABC's Ann Compton.

There were friendly faces, such as that great American, (and hopefully Vice Presidential candidate) Allen West.

and Rep. Tim Scott of South Carolina.

Chris Wallace...

and Greg Gutfeld, Andrea Tantaros, Kimberly Guilfoyle, and Eric Bolling of Fox News' "Five at Five" also greeted the Freepers.

Some of the attendees were intrigued by the signs from their cars...

Others stopped to take photos.

One liberal resident of DC even got into a debate about food stamps, after admitting his family had been on food stamps for 14 years.

This was all outside the correspondent's dinner. I haven't heard yet what went on inside the ballroom. No word yet on if any dogs were eaten.

Obama's Anti-Bullying Ally, Dan Savage, Bullies Teenage Christians, Calls the Bible "Bull$h*t"

This is sickening!

Gay activist Dan Savage was brought in to a national high school journalism conference as speaker against bullying in schools.

Instead, Savage began to bully students who were Christian, even calling the Holy Bible "bullshit." (Todd Starnes, Fox News).

Savage was supposed to be delivering a speech about anti-bullying at the National High School Journalism Conference sponsored by the Journalism Education Association and the National Scholastic Press Association. But it turned into an episode of Christian-bashing.

Rick Tuttle, the journalism advisor for Sutter Union High School in California, was among several thousand people in the audience. He said they thought the speech was one thing – but it turned into something else.

“I thought this would be about anti-bullying,” Tuttle told Fox news. “It turned into a pointed attack on Christian beliefs.”

Tuttle said a number of his students were offended by Savage’s remarks – and some decided to leave the auditorium.

“It became hostile,” he said. “It felt hostile as we were sitting in the audience – especially towards Christians who espouse beliefs that he was literally taking on.”

Tuttle said the speech was laced with vulgarities and “sexual innuendo not appropriate for this age group.” At one point, he said Savage told the teenagers about how good his partner looked in a speedo.

The conservative website CitizenLink was the first to report about the controversy. They interviewed a 17-year-old girl who was one of students who walked out of the auditorium.

“The first thing he told the audience was, ‘I hope you’re all using birth control,’” she told CitizenLink. “he said there are people using the Bible as an excuse for gay bullying, because it says in Leviticus and Romans that being gay is wrong. Right after that, he said we can ignore all the (expletive deleted) in the Bible.”

Video of the speech showed a number of students walking out of the auditorium as Savage called the Bible “bullshit.” Afterwards, he turned his words on those who had left.

“You can tell the Bible guys in the hall they can come back now because I’m done beating up the Bible,” he said as other students cheered. “Its funny as someone who is on the receiving end of beatings that are justified by the Bible how pansy-assed people react when you push back.”

Gateway Pundit posted a video taken at the event (language warning, high-blood pressure inducing).

Here's the kicker, Savage has been invited to the White House as part of Obama's LGBT Pride Month reception in 2011 and a White House anti-bullying conference.

Obama even filmed an anti-bullying promo for Savage's "It Gets Better" project (CNN).

President Obama is joining nationally syndicated columnist Dan Savage’s “It Gets Better” Project to fight against gay bulling. Obama released an anti-bullying video yesterday for the project. In it, he attempts to dispel the myth that bullying is an inevitable part of growing up.

Just as other Obama allies, like Media Mutters and the group founded by Van Jones "Color of Change" are bullying advertisers of Rush Limbaugh, his "anti-bullying czar" now bullies young people of faith.

Will Obama, who constantly lectures the rest of us about civil discourse, condemn his ally Dan Savage, or will this be another example of how the Obama Regime is a Bastion of Bullies?

"Occupy Unmasked" Film Trailer Unveiled On Hannity

Last night, on Sean Hannity's Fox News show, David Bossie of Citizens United and film producer Stephen K. Bannon (The Undefeated) appeared to tell the story and show clips of the trailer from the upcoming expose on the Occupy squatters, titled "Occupy Unmasked."

In case you missed it, here is the clip.

Bossie and Citizens United first showed the trailer of "Occupy Unmasked" to a group of bloggers this past February at CPAC 2012. At that blogger's briefing was Andrew Breitbart, who also had a part in the making of the movie. Sadly, no one in that room thought it would be one of the last times we'd be a round Andrew, as he died just weeks later.

Here's the trailer for "Occupy Unmasked," which we saw that day at CPAC. I heard it was also shown this past weekend in Charlotte, NC at BlogCon 2012 (which unfortunately I wasn't able to attend).

Here's the website for the film.

Labor Department Backs Off (For Now, At Least) Rules Limiting Farm Work By Kids

Minnesota and the rest of America made an uproar, and the Labor Department backs off! (MPR News).

The U.S. Department of Labor is withdrawing a rule that would have limited the sorts of work that children can do on farms.

The proposed rule led to criticism from Minnesota farmers who said it would have disrupted life on family farms.

Minnesota Farmers Union President Doug Peterson said the formal withdrawal of the rule was a "win for family farmers."

"The issue was that the Department of Labor didn't fully understand how farms actually worked and what roles kids actually had in farming labor," Peterson said. "It's a success, frankly, to find out that now they've realized they didn't have it right and pulled back."

Peterson said the Department of Labor should have asked farmers before proposing the rule.

Of course people like that union shill Hilda Solis and a lot of those other buerocrats don't know how family farms work. They've never had experience with them or any other family business. I'm sure they're so elitist as well they look down their nose at farmers.

I was telling my sister and mother last night on Facebook that my maternal grandparents would have probably gotten into trouble under these Obama Regime regulations for just having the two of us as kids out in their floral nursery they ran in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. Sometimes, I'd just grab a water hose and water plants or deliver plants to customers cars. This wasn't because my grandparents made me, I wanted to do this. Looking back both my sister and I got an education being around this. Doing small jobs in the nursery taught me about work ethic, and watching them count the money at the end of the day gave me a look into how a business is run.

I say the Labor Dept is backing off for now too, because we don't know if and when they'll sneak it into some other legislation when no one is looking. Keep your eyes peeled!

Are We Better Off After Four Years Of A Celebrity President?

Great ad from American Crossroads (via Legal Insurrection).

I said the day before the 2008 election that an American Idol President isn't what we need in these serious times. Being hip, slick and cool as The Won has been over the last four years hasn't brought down the price of gas, or put more Americans back to work, or reduced our deficit. I don't think America can survive another four years of a celebrity President.

California Congressman Wants Navy To Name Ship After Harvey Milk, Political Ally of Mass Murderer Rev. Jim Jones

It's bad enough the US Navy lowered themselves to naming a ship after that deceased traitor, Congressman Jackoff "The Haditha Marines Killed Civilians In Cold Blood" Murtha.  Now, a Democrat Congressman from California wants the Navy to name a ship after martyred gay icon, San Francisco Supervisor Harvey Milk (Navy Times, via This Ain't Hell).
An upcoming addition to the Navy’s fleet may be the USS Harvey Milk if Rep. Bob Filner, D-Calif., and other San Diego gay rights leaders have their way about it.

The GLBT Historic Task Force of San Diego County and Filner sent letters to Navy Secretary Ray Mabus and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta last week asking for Harvey Milk to be considered as a name for a submarine, carrier or other appropriate vessel, according to a PR Newswire press release.
Milk, a late civil rights icon, was a Navy veteran who served aboard the submarine rescue ship Kittiwake as a diving officer during the Korean War. He went on to be a diving instructor at Naval Station San Diego. Milk, whose parents both also served in the Navy, was honorably discharged at the rank of lieutenant junior grade.

In his letter, Rep. Filner wrote “this action would be a fitting tribute to Mr. Milk’s support for equality, an ideal exemplified in the military’s recent repeal of its former Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy,” according to the press release.
Of course, the only reason this is even being discussed is because of how Milk, along with then San Francisco Mayor George Moscone, were brutally gunned down in late 1978 by former city supervisor Dan White, over a disagreement with the mayor about getting his supervisor's position back.

Rarely discussed about Milk is his political association with the Rev. Jim Jones of the Peoples Temple cult in the San Francisco Bay Area. Jones was an influential community organizer in the Bay Area Left wing community, and Milk (as did Moscone) used Jones' volunteers to get into political office.  Gay Journalist Randy Shilts, in his book The Mayor of Castro Street, quotes Milk on Page 139 as saying about the Temple:
"Make sure you're always nice to the Peoples Temple," he admonished her. "If they ask you to do something, do it, and then send them a note thanking them for asking you to do it. They're weird and they're dangerous, and you never want to be on their bad side."

Shilts also writes Milk saying (page 178):
"They're weird, but they're good volunteers," Harvey told her. "You take help where it comes from, but don't trust them."
Milk even wrote the following letter, found in historical archives to Rev. Jones, stating how his "name is cut into stone in support of you your people."

Milk even authored a letter in support of the Rev. Jones to then President Jimmy Carter.

So, why has the naming of Navy ships become a politically correct exercise?

Australian Atheists Chant "ZZ TOP" At Muslim Counterprotesters

From Tim Blair at the Daily Telegraph (via Legal Insurrection blogread), this is what happened outside an athiest gathering when a group of Muslim counter protesters showed up. The athiests chanted back "Where are the women?" "Bull$h!t!" and "ZZ Top."

ZZ Top? Seriously?

I don't see a resemblance.

Mobile, AL Man Beaten By Black Mob Claiming "Justice For Trayvon," Black Neighbor Yells At TV Crew About "Unfair Coverage" Calls The Kids "Victims"

No arrests have been made yet into the beating of a white man in Mobile, AL by a black mob this past Saturday night (WRKG).
Mobile police need your help to catch a mob that beat Matthew Owens so badly that he's in critical condition.

According to police, Owens fussed at some kids playing basketball in the middle of Delmar Drive about 8:30 Saturday night. They say the kids left and a group of adults returned, armed with everything but the kitchen sink. Police tell News 5 the suspects used chairs, pipes and paint cans to beat Owens.
Owens' sister, Ashley Parker, saw the attack. "It was the scariest thing I have ever witnessed." Parker says 20 people, all African American, attacked her brother on the front porch of his home, using "brass buckles, paint cans and anything they could get their hands on." Police will only say "multiple people" are involved.

What Parker says happened next could make the fallout from the brutal beating even worse. As the attackers walked away, leaving Owen bleeding on the ground, Parker says one of them said "Now thats justice for Trayvon." Trayvon Martin is the unarmed teenager police say was shot and killed February 26 by neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman in Samford, Florida.
Police canvassed the area, but did not find any suspects. They're asking anyone with information to call them at 251-208-7211, Crime Stoppers at 251-208-7000, or text a tip to 274637 and include the keyword CRIME 411.
WKRG's website also quotes a neighbor who said earlier today they also heard the words "Now that's justice for Trayvon" after the beating of Owens.

Also, another neighbor who feels there has been unfair coverage of the case confronted the reporter today:
Tensions are running high on Delmar Drive. Before Lauren Vargas' live shot on News 5 at 5:00, a black woman who lives on the street started yelling at Lauren saying the kids are the real victims.

The victim's brother said Owens' has told him "Don't let me die" as he goes in and out of consciousness.

Meanwhile, the racist bastard Eric Holder and his InJustice Department are too busy suing a fire department for alleged racial discrimination in the department's written exams, instead of sending people to investigate and defend Matthew Owens' civil rights.

Obama Not Happy With Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, "Don't Forget, You Work For Me"

"Thunderlips" has been making too many waves, and it's creating problems for The Won (Javier at The Shark Tank).
Rumors have been swirling around that (Debbie) Wasserman Schultz was not in President Obama’s top tier of candidates to sit at the helm of the Democratic National Committee. A source within the Democratic Party who is a close associate of Wasserman Schultz has told the Shark Tank the details about the process that took place when the vetting of prospective candidates for the DNC chair. The source told the Shark Tank that, “she (Wasserman Schultz) was not the first choice,” and that Wasserman Schultz feverishly lobbied her case of being a sitting ‘Jewish’congresswoman in a very safe Democratic district. According to the source, Obama was pressured into picking Wasserman Schultz because she impressed upon him that he needed her as a loyal foot soldier to run cover him and shore up his dwindling support with the Jewish voters as well as with women. But while Obama has been able to rely on Wasserman Schultz to carry his water, the President has grown increasingly annoyed with the polarizing manner in which she attacks her political opposition-a style that has galvanized her Republican opponents and chased many of those coveted ‘Independents’ away. Just recently, Wasserman Schultz defended her former aide and current DNC Jewish Outreach liason for her juvenile misstep of posting pictures of herself on Facebook that referred to her and her fellow Jewish girlfriends as “Jewbags.” President Obama was reported to be so upset with the aide’s publicized antics that he did not allow Wasserman Schultz to introduce him at any of the events during his most recent trip to Florida.
So, the source has said that things between "Thunderlips" and Obama have soured to the point that he doesn't want her at the DNC anymore. Of course, getting rid of her would be hard to do in the middle of an election year.
Apparently, President Obama had discussions with the DNC Chairwoman regarding her approach, even telling her, “Don’t forget you work for me.” It’s not about you, its about me. – attributed to President Barack Obama to Debbie Wasserman Schultz, as per our source
It's always about Obama. The guy is such a raging narcissist he makes Bill Clinton look like the most charitable man on earth.

Obama Regime Declares War on Terror Over

Is this part of his WTF strategy? (Ben Shapiro -

Today, the National Journal reported that a senior State Department official has announced, “The war on terror is over.”

“Now that we have killed most of al Qaida,” the source said, “now that people have come to see legitimate means of expression, people who once might have gone into al Qaida see an opportunity for a legitimate Islamism.”

The article itself describes the Obama administration’s new vision of foreign policy, which admits no enemies. Everyone, in this view, is a friend. Islamism, says the Obama administration, is just fine, so long as it does not openly support terrorism.

This, of course, is utter foolishness. Islamism is a religious ideological movement that brooks no real alternatives – so while the State Department proclaims “a legitimate Islamism,” it fails to acknowledge that Islamism, “legitimate” or not, is deeply intolerant of any other modes of expression. Not only that, but Islamism works hand-in-glove with terror groups around the world. Simply because a regime does not openly house al Qaida does not mean that the regime doesn’t support al Qaida; just because a regime pretends at democracy doesn’t mean that it has real democratic values.

Obama has created the brave new Middle East – a Middle East that assumes that every human heart has the desire to vote, but not to be truly free; a Middle East that oppresses women and gays and minorities, but pretends at liberalism; a Middle East that despises America but hides that hate behind a façade of multiculturalism, even as it disposes of its internal dissenters.

In truth, Obama isn’t declaring an end to the war on terror – terrorism continues unabated each day in Egypt and the Palestinian territories and Iraq and Afghanistan and Sudan and Yemen and Syria and Lebanon and a dozen other hotspots around the globe. Obama is truly declaring an end to the war on Islamism. He has made his peace; he has surrendered. In doing so, he has condemned broad swaths of the world to darkness, and more immediately, he has condemned America to a defensive position in the world. Now there is no proactive America shaping the world to her own ends. Now there is only an atomistic world, a series of billiard balls, in which America waits to be struck before bouncing back.

To Obama, the war on Islamism may be over. For Islamists, the war on America is far from over.

This is delusional thinking on the part of the Regime. Iran is closer to building a nuclear weapons, and the Regime (with the lapdogs in the media) have praised the so-called "Arab Spring" which is nothing more than the rise of radical Islam under the Muslim Brotherhood.

Obama has gotten cozy with the Muslim Brotherhood and their allies. The Regime has allowed the Brotherhood to review and edit FBI training manualsheld meetings with them in the White House and given them $1.5 billion of our money without Congressional approval.

This isn't victory, it's surrender by liberal Democrats for a war they never wanted to fight.

Why Was Ted Nugent Concert At Fort Knox Cancelled, But Bush-Hating Celebs Allowed On USO Tours?

Rock and roll wildman Ted Nugent had more than just a visit from the Secret Service, who may have been looking to distract from the Columbian hooker story. He was dropped from his scheduled concert at Ft. Knox, KY with classic rockers REO Speedwagon and Styx (Breitbart).

Nugent was slated to serve as the headliner of a Fort Knox concert on June 23, but the organizers of the event have decided against the Motor City Madman appearing at the show.

The show will go on, minus Nugent. Other acts scheduled to rock the fort include Styx and REO Speedwagon.

So why was Nugent cancelled? I know that there's military uniform code that forbids political activism among members of the military (that Jon Soltz thinks doesn't apply to him), but Nugent is not in the military. I could understand if he was told to not make political statements at a military event, and he chose not to abide by the guidelines, was asked to not appear. I remember he played at one of Sean Hannity's Freedom Concerts one year, and I'm sure he had make concessions to tone his stage routine down. You don't play songs like "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang" at a family concert, or make statements like below with some of the same language:

But the reason I'm asking is because if criticism of the President disqualifies an entertainer from performing in front of the military, then why did Bush-bashing celebrities perform on USO tours while Bush was President?

Need names? How about Scarlett Johansson, Bush-basher and Obama supporter? Oh, and Stuart Smalley, aka Al Franken, went on USO Tours. Meanwhile, the vile Palin-hating SBS suffering Kathy Griffin used a USO performance to attack Bristol Palin as being "fat." She got her ugly ass booed.

Of course, I'm sure if the Bush-bashers weren't allowed on USO tours, that moron Tim Robbins would give another speech about chilling winds blowing from the White House through Clear Channel Communications. But Obama is President, Tim Robbins is silent, and we know how the Regime bans some reporters who ask unflattering questions from White House events, or kicks reporters whose papers endorse his opponent off the airplane.

I'm open for an explanation.

John "Breck Girl" Edwards Called "Master Manipulator" At Start Of His Trial

Just like 2000 (algore), we dodged a bullet with John Edwards, being that he could have become Vice President and maybe even President (Fox News).

Government attorneys argued Monday at a federal courthouse in North Carolina that Edwards, the former senator and failed Democratic presidential candidate, knew two wealthy contributors had provided the nearly $1 million to hide his pregnant mistress. They described Edwards as a "master manipulator" and said the donations were tantamount to "campaign contributions" intended to preserve Edwards' "family man" image during his 2008 campaign.

Andrew Young, a former campaign worker who testified in exchange for immunity, told the court about a meeting he attended with one of the two wealthy Edwards supporters, Rachel "Bunny" Mellon.

"I'm going to do everything I can to help you become president of the United States," Mellon told Edwards, according to Young.

But the defense argued the donations were merely "private money" intended to protect Edwards' family from embarrassment. Edwards' lawyers told jurors most of the money, which was handled by former campaign staffer Andrew Young, went toward building Young's new house in Chapel Hill, N.C.

The day of opening arguments comes more than four years after Edwards ended his Democratic presidential bid and went on to watch his reputation crumble under the weight of the emerging scandal. He has gone from battling reporters to battling prosecutors who seized upon the scheme as an alleged campaign finance breach. While the lurid details of his affair dominated the headlines going into the summer of 2008, the focus of the trial is the money trail.

At issue is whether the $1 million in donations was intended to help his campaign or whether it was merely intended to prevent his wife and children from finding out about the affair. That could make the difference in whether the jury determines the money was an illegal campaign contribution, as prosecutors argue, or whether the money represented some very generous personal gifts.

...Edwards is accused of conspiring to solicit the funds and faces six felony counts -- each carrying a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He has pleaded not guilty.

...Edwards denies having known about the money, which paid for private jets, luxury hotels and Hunter's medical care. Abbe Lowell, the well-known Washington lawyer who is representing Edwards, has said that even had Edwards known about the secret payments, his actions wouldn't amount to a crime under federal law. Lowell has said in court that the government's case relies on flawed legal reasoning, that the grand jury process was tainted and that the Republican federal prosecutor who led the investigation was motivated by partisanship.

But prosecutors will seek to prove he sought and directed the payments to cover up his affair, protect his public image as a "family man" and keep his presidential hopes viable.

There was something always seemed slimy about John Edwards. Now we know, based on the allegations. But what this story left out is how the lapdog media ignored it. The story was broken by the National Enquirer.

If it's proven that Edwards knew about the money and was involved in the whole scheme, it's not going to be "white collar resort prison."

Pinata Resembling White Woman Beaten By Black Grade School Kids

Of course, the silence is deafening (The College Fix).

A piñata shaped like a white woman was strung up to a tree at the University of Memphis, then African-American students took turns beating it with a stick.

Where is Al Sharpton when you need him? Isn’t this a shocking case of racism?

No, actually it isn’t. Turns out the students involved were mere grade school kids, brought on campus for a special “Luau” party sponsored by the university. The piñata was supposed to represent a hula dancer.

“We want to assure our community that no racial or gender animosity was intended,” said a university spokesperson.

At worst, this seems like a bad case of multicultural confusion. (Hawaiian luau + Mexican-style piñata = what cultural tradition exactly?)

Luckily, in this case, the racial dynamics were not reversed, with white students and a black piñata strung up to a tree. Imagine the controversy that would have generated.

Nevertheless, the university was compelled to explain itself when the picture started generating backlash after it was posted online.

It’s a sad thing when a few kids can’t swing at a piñata without unleashing an avalanche of racial grievances. But that’s the reality we live in.

First of all, the pinata doesn't look like a hula dancer. Second, the imagery of anyone (regardless of color) hitting a woman with a stick, and with skin color reversed, obviously didn't cross the mind of the genious who set this event up.

Pelosi Wants To Amend The First Amendment To Silence Conservative Speech

Pretty scary (via American Power).

Responding to the Supreme Court's decision in Citizens United, Minority Leader Pelosi said:

“We have a clear agenda in this regard: Disclose, reform the system reducing the role of money in campaigns, and amend the Constitution to rid it of this ability for special interests to use secret, unlimited, huge amounts of money flowing to campaigns.”

In other words, liberals, who have long proclaimed themselves as the champions of free speech, want to silence opposing points of view.

Happy Vladimir Lenin Birthday (aka "Earth Day")

So while all the greenies are out today blaming humans for alleged "glo-BULL warming," keep this thought in mind about the significance of today, April 22.

The leader of the Russian Bolshevik revolution, Vladimir Lenin, was born on this day in 1870.  This created the Marxist state known as the former Soviet Union.

One hundred years later, in 1970, the first Earth Day was held.

Brietbart's Death Caused By Heart Failure...Tribute Paid At BlogCon2012

The coroner in Los Angeles released the results of the autopsy done on Andrew Breitbart, after his death on March 1 (MyFoxLA, via GP).

Conservative commentator Andrew Breitbart died of heart failure and hardening of the arteries, the Los Angeles Coroner's Office said Friday.

Releasing Breitbart's autopsy results, the coroner's office deemed the 43-year-old's death was natural when he collapsed near his Los Angeles home on March 1, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The office said his death was caused by heart failure and hypertropic cardiomyopathy with focal coronary atherosclerosis, the technical description for the hardening of the arteries.

Breitbart did not have any illicit drugs in his system at the time of his death. His blood alcohol level was 0.04 percent.

Breitbart reportedly had a cardiac episode last year for which he consulted a cardiologist, but he was not believed to have been prescribed medications or to have scheduled follow-up visits.

Two days after he died, I attended a gathering of bloggers, media, and Congressional staff in DC who came together to remember and honor Andrew. Here are some of the photos from that night.

Today, in Charlotte NC, at BlogCon2012, the following tribute was made to Andrew Breitbart (hat tip Sunshine State Sarah).

I'm at BlogCon in Charlotte, North Carolina, and we just had a special screening of the new Stephen Bannon film, Occupy Unmasked, which features a lot of footage of Andrew Breitbart.

After the film, Jim Jamitis (@anthropocon on Twitter) presented Dana Loesch, Brandon Darby, Larry O'Connor, and John Nolte with a painting he created as a tribute to Andrew for the Breitbart offices.

What a perfect way to honor the man...with his own words:

My favorite is a quote at the top left: "I want my legacy to be that they know that they screwed with the wrong guy."

BREAKING: Photo Shows George Zimmerman With Bloody Gash On Back Of Head

Well this sure changes things (photo from

From WFLV News:

ABC News exclusively obtained a graphic photograph of George Zimmerman’s head covered in blood that was taken just three minutes after the shooting that left 17-year-old Trayvon Martin dead. This news comes as Zimmerman is set to go before a judge in a bond hearing on Friday.

The picture shows two cuts on the back of Zimmerman's head with blood trickling down.

Click here to see the photo (WARNING GRAPHIC)

Zimmerman, who shot and killed 17-year-old Martin on February 26 in a gated Sanford community, claimed he killed Martin in self-defense. Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder for the shooting death of Martin.

The photograph appears to be the first publicly disclosed piece of evidence that could help support Zimmerman’s claim of self-defense. Sources tell ABC News that investigators have seen the photograph and are aware of the photographer’s story.

The person who took the photograph told ABC News he heard Martin and Zimmerman fighting before the shooting and that after Martin was killed, Zimmerman asked the photographer to call Zimmerman’s wife, allegedly blurting out, “Man, just tell her I shot someone.”

GPS and other data embedded in the photo shows it was taken at the scene with an iPhone just three minutes after the shooting, according to ABC News.

NOW (AKA "The NAGs") Illustrates Why We Call Them "Feminazis" By Waging War On Rush's Advertisers

Because, just like all these George Soro$$$ linked organizations with their "Stop Rush" campaign, the NAGs are using Gestapo-like tactics to bring a type of fascism into the United States (Politics USA).
The National Organization for Women has announced a campaign to hit Rush Limbaugh in the wallet by pressuring local businesses and radio stations to stop doing business with him.
NOW President Terry O’Neill said, “For more than two decades, Rush Limbaugh has degraded women, people of color and anyone who doesn’t look or think like him. Like bullies everywhere, Limbaugh uses the age-old tactic of savaging one woman for the purpose of intimidating all women away from the public square. Rush’s hostile, hateful speech is destructive to our public discourse, our communities and our democracy…NOW is proud to stand with Sandra Fluke and everyone Limbaugh has degraded and insulted over the years. We hope that women’s rights and social justice supporters around the country will join us in this campaign.”
Some of the cities where protests of Limbaugh’s local affiliates will be held include, Washington, D.C., New York City, Phoenix, AZ, Indianapolis, IN, Columbia, MO, Toledo, OH, Grand Rapids, MI, and West Palm Beach, FL.
On Monday, Rush Limbaugh tried to minimize the movement against him by blaming Bill Maher for the war on women, while he claimed that the outrage against him was phony, “By the way, you ought to see all the blog posts on the left. “Can we get rid of this phony outrage?” they’re asking. “Can we stop this? It was fine to manufacture phony outrage during Sandra Fluke, and it was fine to keep that going for three weeks, but this? There’s no point here. This is ridiculous. Aren’t we just outraged out? Can we just get rid of the outrage?”
According to the Stop Rush Project, 168 advertisers have already dropped or are avoiding advertising on Limbaugh’s program. Thus far, Rush has replaced the departed with a handful of new advertisers. However, many local businesses continue to advertise on his show. This is who the National Organization for Women will be targeting. Limbaugh can survive the loss of some national advertisers, but his empire is built on local stations paying big bucks to carry his show. If local advertisers bail, Rush Limbaugh’s show will be become financial loser for the local stations who carry him.
It was phony outrage! I don't recall the NAGs getting angry at the de-facto head of the Democrat Party, Bill Maher, for his mysoginist rants against Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann and others, or Fat Ed Schultz. Because the NAGs are only about protecting liberals and Democrats. I find it funny that Terry O'Neill wants to call Rush a bully. Exactly what the Hell is it your doing you shrieking hag! You're bullying his advertisers because you don't want people to hear his popular radio show. What does that make you, Misssssss O'Neill? It makes you an enemy of free speech and free thought.

Prof. Jacobson has more on the on-going fascistic Stop Rush campaign, and how they're attacking advertisers like Angie's List.

Allen West Is Right About Progressive Caucus Being Commie Pinkos...I Can Give One Example: Lynn Woolsey

Liberal Democrats and their media lapdogs have their panties in a knot over Florida Congressman (and Lt. Col. Ret.) Allen West saying that 80 Democrats who are members of the Progressive Caucus are communists.

Reps. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.) and Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) on Thursday dismissed claims made earlier this week by Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) that they and other members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus were members of the Communist Party, and encouraged all members to stop making these sorts of charges.

"It's not true. It's a false statement. It is unfair. It is unkind," Ellison said on the House floor. "It's tough out here already, we don't need verbal false accusations against each other."

West is not backing down.

"No, I don't regret it whatsoever," West said in response to a reporter asking about his comment. The freshman Republican, who took the question while participating in a panel discussion at conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation, then proceeded to double down in his belief about liberal Democrats being communists.

"I think that if you would take the time to study the political spectrum of ideologies, you'd understand that, at the turn of the century, American communists renamed themselves as progressives," he said. "If you studied the Woodrow Wilson administration, people referred to the Woodrow Wilson administration as a progressive administration."

West landed in hot water last week for telling constituents in a town hall meeting that lawmakers in the Congressional Progressive Caucus are members of the Communist Party. His remarks sparked outrage among scores of Democrats, including Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass), who said "not even Joe McCarthy would have said anything so stupid."

And Allen West, a great patriot, shouldn't regret his words, because they're accurate. I can prove two examples in one illustration.

In September 1999, the Communist Party USA newspaper, Peoples Weekly World, was holding a gala fundraiser at some restaurant in Commietown, CA (Berkeley). Here is an ad for the event.

One of the co-sponsors of the event was my former Congressperson, Lynn Woolsey, who represents Marin & Sonoma counties in California. Woolsey is not only a member of the Progressive Caucus, she was also a co-chair of the pinko group.

Another co-sponsor of this event, along with Woolsey, was Barbara Lee, also member of the Progressive Caucus who took over the East Bay Congressional seat held by her mentor, Ron "Red" Dellums.

So, Allen West is right. For those who have been confused, "progressive" is another way that communists use to sugarcoat their extremism, just like founding groups with innocent names like People for the (un)American Way.

I Still Think Putting A Dog On The Roof Of The Car Is Wrong....

...but nothing is as bad as thinking that dogs can be eaten, which Richard Milhous Obama admits he did as a boy, living in Indonesia. (audio found at The Hayride).

And to show how partisan the Dogs Against Romney people are, they defend Obama for taking a bite out of "man's best friend."

The founder of the grassroots organization Dogs Against Romney called the Romney campaign “desperate” for dredging up the revelations that President Obama ate dog meat as a child in Indonesia.

“It seems desperate for the Romney campaign to bring up something that happened to Obama when he was 10 years old, not preparing his own meals, in a country where eating dog meat probably isn’t all that unusual as if it compares in any way to Romney, as a 36-year old adult, in America, making the conscious decision to strap his family pet to the roof of a car for a 12-hour drive, and leaving it up there even after it got sick.”

Well excuse me! I had a dog as a young boy. I can tell you there's no way I would have thought of eating one. The idea of it would never have crossed my mind. So why didn't young Barry think so? After all, he lived in America before moving to Indonesia.

Which brings to mind. I have a source who told me last night that Obama's birth certificate has been destroyed and can never be found. You see, the dog ate it and then young Barry ate the dog!

And this was inevitable...another "Downfall" parody, where Hitler recieves the news Obama ate his dog.

Comment left at The Hayride: "Under Clinton it was "wag the dog". Under Obama it's "wok the dog"."

70 Years Ago Today...America's First Strike Back At Japan By Doolittle's Raiders

Seventy years ago today, four months after the attack on US military bases at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, the United States responded with an attack on Japan, by launching land-based medium bombers off a US Navy aircraft carrier, the USS Hornet.

Of the 80 men who participated in the raid, five are still living today, all in their 90s. From the Washington Times:
Seven decades later, the five remaining survivors of the raid led by then-Lt. Col. James H. “Jimmy” Doolittle recognize their prominent place in history. Nothing like it had ever been done before. But faced with an enemy that already had proved its ability to strike the U.S. homeland, 80 brave men volunteered for what had all the makings of a suicide mission, its main purposes to satisfy a burning desire for revenge, to boost morale in the war’s darkest days and to demonstrate that the nation’s resolve remained as strong as steel.

Planning for the April 18, 1942, raid combined that need for vengeance with raw American ingenuity. It was the first-ever joint operation between the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF), predecessor to today’s Air Force, and the Navy. B-25 bombers had never taken off from a Navy aircraft carrier before, and Doolittle, selected as mission leader, who piloted the first of the squadron’s 16 planes, had less than 400 feet of runway to work with.

Unable to carry enough fuel for a round trip, Doolittle and his men planned to drop their bombs on Tokyo and several other Japanese cities and make a quick escape toward China, a U.S. ally. American political leaders had tried to hammer out an agreement with Josef Stalin to allow the bombers to land in the Soviet Union after the raid, but the Soviet leader refused, leaving China as the only realistic option.

Except for one plane that landed in the then Soviet Union, the other planes ran out of fuel and the crews bailed out.

Eight raiders — including 92-year-old survivor Robert L. Hite, co-pilot on plane No. 16 — were captured by Japanese forces. Three of those men were executed by firing squad, and another died of malnutrition.

“They treated us pretty rough,” Mr. Hite said of his time in captivity. “We were in solitary confinement. Each person was in a cell by himself. We couldn’t speak to one another. We didn’t know for sure what would happen. Then they condemned us all to death.”

Mr. Hite and his three comrades avoided that fate, surviving more than three years in the Japanese prison before eventually being liberated by Allied forces as the war came to a close.

Mr. Cole’s crew members made it into China and were rescued. Mr. Griffin and the rest of the crew on plane No. 9 safely bailed out over China.

Mr. Thatcher pulled his four fellow crew members from the wreckage of plane No. 7, which had come to rest in waist-deep water. He spent the night bandaging the other men, all of whom had suffered cuts, gashes and other minor injuries. He later was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in the line of duty.

Each of the 80 men received the Distinguished Flying Cross for their parts in the raid. Doolittle, eventually promoted to the rank of general, was awarded the Medal of Honor.

Due recognition

Yet the Raiders received little credit during the immediate aftermath of the mission.

“There was no victory parade or bond drive, or effort to capture all of them together and have a public display,” Mr. Anderegg said. “There was a war on, and they had their jobs to do. Reading the press releases [about the mission] was probably not high on their list of things to do.”

Confirmation of the daring raid first leaked out not from American press accounts but via Japanese newspapers. Many American media outlets on April 18 reported that the raid had taken place but that it had not yet been confirmed by either political or military leaders. The location from which the Raiders launched was shrouded in mystery, and FDR, questioned by reporters three days later, refused to shed light on the situation.

The war raged on for another three years, and it was only after it ended, in 1946, that the survivors began their annual reunion ceremony. Mr. Hite, Mr. Thatcher, Mr. Griffin, Mr. Cole and Mr. Saylor will gather next week in Dayton, Ohio, at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base for the events marking the 70th anniversary of the raid. It’s expected to be the last time the five men will come together.

On display at the base, which houses the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, are 80 goblets, one representing each Raider, and a bottle of Hennessy Very Special Cognac, a gift from Doolittle to be opened by the final two living Raiders.

Over the past 70 years, as their fellow Raiders have passed away — Doolittle died in September 1993 at the age of 96 — the five survivors have remained grateful that they were given the chance to make military history, defend the U.S. during one of its darkest periods and live to tell about all of it.

“You realize you were lucky that you weren’t one of the victims in the war,” Mr. Cole said. “I lived my dream.”

It was an honor to be able to meet a few of these men, as well as Gen. Doolittle's son, John, nine years ago when the Doolittle Raiders had their 61st reunion in Fairfield, CA. This is history of which the participants are almost all gone, but what they did must never be forgotten.

Is The Secret Service Using Ted Nugent To Distract From Columbian Hooker Scandal?

So now rock and roll wildman Ted Nugent is finding himself being looked at for allegedly making a threat against Richard Milhous Obama, according to this liberal rag New York Magazine.

We're not sure how else to take this remark from the nutjob guitarist and Romney-endorser: "If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will be either be dead or in jail by this time next year."

Update: A spokesman for the Secret Service tells us, "We are aware of it, and we'll conduct an appropriate follow up."

Excuse me, but where is the threat? It seems to me that Nugent is implying that he would be threatened under an Obama second term simply for speaking out in opposition to Obama, and especially the liberal assault on the Second Amendment. I certainly don't see Eric Holder and his InJustice Department going after the black KKK (aka the New Black Panthers) making bounties and threats.

Uncle Ted is very outspoken (rightfully so) on this important right, and the liberal threat to it.

Recall that John Kerry made threats against not only George W. Bush, but Sarah Palin. I don't recall him coming under scrutiny. But I guess when you have a scandal where an agent doesn't pay a hooker $47 dollars, you have to distract people. We all know how distracting people is the MO of the Obama Regime.

Ted spoke with Dana Loesch, and says he stands by his speech at the NRA convention.

Time to crank up some Ted!

Dry Drunk Liberal Bob Beckel Drops "F" Bomb On Hannity's TV Show

Angry lib Bob Beckel showed on Hannity last night just what a fowl person he is (video via Gateway Pundit).

Beckel was responding to something Jennifer Stefano had said just before coming back from break, according to Pat Dollard. Showing why I call him a "dry drunk," Beckel refused to admit he was wrong and apologize.  He even blamed Sean Hannity for not running his show better.

Of course, as Dollard points out, here's a liberal who is screaming at a woman.  War on women, anyone?

Why Romney Hasn't Won The Conservative Base: Snubs "True Believers" Watching Fox For "Independents and Women"

Willard "Mittens" Romney is showing everyone why he's his own worst enemy, and why he has a credibility problem with the conservative base. Because the "Etch-A-Sketch" is coming out (Byron York, via Legal Insurrection).

At a closed-to-the-press Florida fundraiser Sunday night at which his remarks were overheard by some reporters standing outside, Mitt Romney was asked about his media strategy for the general election campaign. According to reports in the Wall Street Journal and MSNBC, Romney said his campaign has been treated well by Fox News but that he needs to expand his audience beyond the leading cable news channel.

Fox is watched by the true believers,” Romney told donors, according to the Wall Street Journal. “We need to get the independents and the women.”

That's not all of Romney's problem stemming from this Florida fundraiser. The Other McCain has links to articles where Mittens is detailing deductions he wants to cut for wealthy Americans (playing the class warfare card), and is even prematurely selling access to his Inaugural. Not only that, Taylor Marsh also adds that Romney is floating a GOP "Dream Act" (read: amnesty) in order to woo Hispanics.

All from the same guy who beat up on Texas Governor Rick Perry for creating "magnets" for illegal aliens.

If you ask me, Mittens is taking those he sees as the "true believers" for granted, following the Rovian idea that conservatives have nowhere else to go.

Which is why he hasn't won my vote yet. And yes America, Newt is still out there, in case you haven't voted in a primary (and Rick Santorum, maybe you should switch your delegates to Newt).

If anything, the last few days have shown Ann Romney does a better job of uniting the GOP than her husband.

Obama Campaign Event Headlined By Convicted Sex Offender

Kristinn Taylor posted at how the rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers played a concert at the House of Blues in Cleveland for 1,200 Obama for America phone bank volunteers, according to a story in the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

...On Sunday, the Cleveland Heights woman joined 1,200 Obama volunteers at the House of Blues to hear the band play a 45-minute set that included its anthem, "Under the Bridge," and "The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie." The Chili Peppers had approached the campaign about helping the president's re-election bid while they were in Cleveland.

The free show came just hours after the Los Angeles band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The show mixed the band's caffeinated struts and funk-rooted songs with Obama's campaign themes. It underscored the impact of a heavy-hitting band like the Chili Peppers has on getting the political message out.

The Obama campaign had announced last week that volunteers who signed on to help with a phone bank would get free concert tickets. Most of the Obama volunteers at the show have worked with the campaign for years, staffers and volunteers said. The phone bank last week contacted about 39,000 people, campaign staffers said.

"I was going to volunteer, and they said that I could get tickets to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers, so I said, 'What the heck?"' Cowell said. "I've never seen the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I've heard of them, but I never heard them."

She may have been alone Sunday.

The crowd stood and sang with Kiedis and bandmates Michael "Flea" Balzary (bass), Chad Smith (drums) and Josh Klinghoffer (guitar). The band, formed in the early 1980s, rode the alt-rock revolution to stardom. At every turn, the crowd chanted song lyrics and shrieked the members' names.

Jim ("Hit Back Twice As Hard") Messina, the national campaign manager for Obama, introduced the band, saying the members appeared "because they care about their country."

But Kristinn notes the following:

Red Hot Chili Peppers lead singer Anthony Kiedis was convicted in 1990 of sexual battery and indecent exposure against a female George Mason University college student who was working backstage at the Chili Peppers' concert on April 21, 1989 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax County, Virginia.

According to the victim, Kiedis exposed his penis and tried to force her to perform oral sex on him against her will.

The Los Angeles Times reported on Kiedis' 1990 conviction.

Four years later, in 1994, the Clinton administration dropped Kiedis as a spokesman for a campaign to promote condom use produced by the Centers for Disease Control, according to the New York Times.

The Obama campaign recently became embroiled in their own 'war on women' campaign tactic when Democrat advisor and former record industry lobbyist Hilary Rosen attacked Ann Romney, saying of the wife of Republican party presidential front runner Mitt Romney, that she has "never worked a day in her life.

In 2008, the Obama campaign forced the campaign of Republican presidential opponent Sen. John McCain to cancel a fundraiser with Texan Clayton Williams over Williams' remark from 1990 comparing the weather to rape. Williams was quoted as saying, “As long as it’s inevitable, you might as well lie back and enjoy it.”

To be even more specific, here's a link that details the sexual battery (WARNING - Graphic)

The defendants Anthony Kiedas, John Fruscianti, Chad Smith, and Michael Balzary, appearing as "Red Hot Chili Peppers," held a concert on the campus of George Mason University on April 21, 1989. The defendant [**2] Lindy Goetz/L.G. Management negotiated the contract between Red Hot Chili Peppers and GMU. The plaintiff claims in the Motion for Judgment that after the April 21st concert, as part of her duties as a member of the Program Board, she waited in the hallway of the Student Union Building opposite the room to which the band members were taken after their performance. While she and another female member of the Program Board sat waiting outside the room, Kiedas, Fruscianti, Smith, and Balzary came out of the room and approached them in the hallway. At that time, Kiedas asked if they "were the women sent to suck our d!(ks" Fruscianti and Smith stood on either side, and Balzary stood behind Kiedas. When the two women protested, Kiedas approached the plaintiff as the other woman moved away. Kiedas then pulled down his pants and thrust his penis into the plaintiff's face, poking her in the cheek. The plaintiff claims that Kiedas assaulted and battered her intentionally, unlawfully, violently, and without her consent; and that Fruscianti, Smith, and Balzary aided and abetted in the assault and battery. Count I of the Motion for Judgment also claims that the four band members went to the plaintiff's [**3] car, knocked her to the ground, took her keys, and entered her car to leave without her permission or consent to take the car.

So, who is it exactly who has a War on Women?

Miami Firefighter Under Investigation For Facebook Post On Zimmerman Murder Charges, Blaming 'Sh*tbag' Parents Of 'Our Urban Youth'

The privacy (or lack of) consequences of social media have come into play in Miami for a Miami/Dade firefighter weighing in on the Trayvon Martin killing. (, via FreeRepublic).

The Miami-Dade Fire-Rescue Department is investigating a Facebook post by one of its captains that seems to blame the shooting death of Trayvon Martin on the "shi*tbag parents" of "our urban youth," and the "ghetto hoodie look" of young black men like Martin.

The entry was posted on the personal Facebook page of Miami-Dade fire captain Brian Beckmann. The Facebook page bears the same profile picture as the entry, which appears to have been deleted, but which was captured in a screengrab sent to theGrio.

The page's profile entry lists Metro-Dade Firefighters Local 1403.

The entry appears to have been created on Wednesday, the night State Attorney Angela Corey announced she would file second degree murder charges against George Zimmerman in Martin's shooting death.

"Listening to Prosecutor Corey blow herself and her staff for five minutes before pre-passing judgment on George Zimmerman," it read.

"The state seeks reelection again, truth aside. I and my coworkers could rewrite the book on whether our urban youths are victims of racist profiling or products of their failed, sh*tbag, ignorant, pathetic, welfare dependent excuses for parents, but like Mrs. Corey, we speak only the truth. They're just misunderstood little church going angels and the ghetto hoodie look doesn't have anything to do with why people wonder if they're about to get jacked by a thug."

Beckmann responded to questions about the page in a Facebook message, saying "I am a private citizen and have the same right to freely express an opinion on any subject that anyone else does. I choose not to embellish or alter the facts as your employer chose to do."

He offered to contact theGrio when he was "off duty" for further comment.

The source who provided theGrio with the Facebook entry expressed concern that the comments reflected "the thoughts of someone who responds to the homes of the very people" being denigrated in the post.

A Miami-Dade Fire Department spokesman issued the following statement:

Captain Brian Beckmann has been with Miami-Dade county since 1997. The post on his personal Facebook page is being investigated by Miami-Dade fire rescue. The department's only official Facebook page is:

Over at the Miami Herald:

Reached by a reporter Sunday, Beckmann said: “It’s under investigation. I can’t talk to you.”

The investigation and racially-charged entry on the private Facebook page is an example of how employers both private and public struggle to balance free speech and conduct that may reflect poorly on an employee.

Lee Rainie, Director of the Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project, called this kind of incident “one of the great challenges of the digital age.”

“Organizations often want all the advantages of social media to promote themselves and their missions, but struggle to figure out the boundaries for their employees. The law sometimes is not at all clear about where the border between free speech and organizational rule-making can be drawn.”

He added: “At the individual level, people are in a brand new world where they have to think about – and manage – a variety of ‘publics.’ In social media it is pretty easy for people to believe that some social media postings are more or less private, when it fact it just takes a few clicks for them to become very public acts with a big audience. It’s unprecedented. It’s unnerving. And it requires a new set of social skills to manage properly.”

So, if what this firefighter said as a private citizens is such a problem, mabye the Mayor of Philadelphia should be fired? After all, he was attacking "hoodies" and this "gangsta" attitude last year.

HORRIBLE! Gateway Pundit Witnesses Woman Sobbing While Getting Her Obama Regime TSA Patdown

Just went over to Jim Hoft's great blog Gateway Pundit, and it appears he just posted the following video, while travelling back to St. Louis from Wisconsin where he appeared at the rally for Gov. Scott Walker yesterday.

Obama’s War on Women–

Have any of you had this horrible experience yet?

Your going through security, just passed through the naked scanner, you’re getting your bags and you witness a woman crying hysterically as she is getting her Obama TSA patdown?

It’s something you won’t forget.

This morning at a Midwest airport I witnessed this poor woman suffering through this horrible sexual violation.

It’s an Obama world.

Sorry for quality – I was hurrying for camera.)

It doesn’t have to be this way. The media won’t tell you this but there are better ways to secure airports without sexually abusing passengers. If you’ve ever traveled to Israel (100% security success rate) you’ll know what I mean.

If you look closely at the video, you can see this poor woman's hands shaking.

TSA workers have been arrested not just for sexual assualt, but also possession of child pornography.  This isn't a one time thing either.  It's been in Maryland, Philadelphia and Boston.

The Obama Regime Isn't Outraged At Low-Blow Attacks On Ann Romney UPDATE: DeFacto Head Of DNC Bill Maher Weighs In

Because the hits just keep coming.

Gateway Pundit: Dem Activist Defends Hilary Rosen: She “Had Every Right” to Attack Ann Romney (Video) and Gross. TIME Crank Defends Hilary Rosen: Says “Hilary Was Right… Her Comments Were Accurate and Inoffensive”

Dana Loesch at found this tweet from Florida Democrat Congressman Scott Randolph.

Over at Nice Deb, there is the transcript of Karl Rove's appearance on Greta van Susteren's Fox show the other night. Rove isn't one of my favorite people, but I agree with him on this. This mean-spirited attack on Ann Romney is a Chicago-style hit. It was planned at the highest levels of the DNC and the Obama regime to where Hilary Rosen was the sacrificial lamb to get the ball going. Then the Regime would play a phony game of "good cop / bad cop." It's also another good distraction from how unemployment is going up again, high gas prices, and the other miserable failures of this regime they want to direct our attention from.  Think I'm wrong? Michelle Malkin provided the evidence of Rosen's many trips to the White House.

Bookworm Room makes a great point about what this attack on Ann Romney is all about. It's in the last three graphs, but read the whole piece.

For the last many years, I have been the single most important influence on my children. Yes, they go to school (public school, yet); and yes, they both have thriving social lives; and yes, I’ve been unable to insulate them from a Leftist pop culture that his hostile to traditional norms and to conservatives generally, but I’m still the most important person. Of all the influences in their lives, I am the one who is most present, most consistent, and most trusted. I’m sure they’ll pull away as they get older, and they may even rebel, but I’ll still be that little voice in their brain, imparting facts, values, and analyses.

I am the counterweight to the state. Therefore, I am dangerous. I am subversive simply by existing. My love for my children is a dominant force that works its way into their psyches and that trumps the state-run schools and the state complicit media world. Some mothers, of course, are entirely in sync with schools and media. They happily reinforce the statist message. But those of us who don’t are a powerful anti-statist force and we must be challenged.

The Left’s problem with Ann Romney transcends her husband’s wealth, her (and his) Republican identification, and her decision to work for her children, rather than for a paying employer. The Left’s problem with Ann Romney is that she represents the triumph of the individual. No wonder they hate her so much.

The de-facto head of the Democrat Party and Obama PAC million dollar celebrity idiot, Bill Maher weighed in also (Fox Nation via Weasel Zippers).

HBO’s Bill Maher weighs in on the Hilary Rosen controversy, dismissing it as a “non-consequential,” meaningless controversy. Maher also says Ann Romney “has never gotten her ass out of the house to work.”

“But what she meant to say, I think, was that Ann Romney has never gotten her ass out of the house to work. No one is denying that being a mother is a tough job, I remember that I was a handful. Okay, but there is a big difference in being a mother, and that tough job, and getting your ass out of the door at 7am when it’s cold, having to deal with the boss, being in a workplace, and even if you’re unhappy you can’t show it for 8 hours, that is a different kind of tough thing,” Maher observed last night.

You know Ann Coulter must be really desperate for a man when she actually dated that creep.
