More Fuzzy Math: Regime Puts Unemployment At 8.3 Percent, Gallup Says 9.1 Percent

Naturally, the Obama Lapdog Media is Obasmic (Reuters).

U.S. employment grew solidly for a third straight month in February, a sign the economic recovery was broadening and in less need of further monetary stimulus from the Federal Reserve.

Employers added 227,000 jobs to their payrolls last month, the Labor Department said on Friday, while the unemployment rate held at a three-year low of 8.3 percent.

It marked the first time since early 2011 that payrolls have grown by more than 200,000 for three months in a row - bolstering President Barack Obama's chances for re-election.

It should be noted that these are numbers from the government's Bureau of Labor Statistics. Why would anyone trust the Regime with unemployment figures during an election year?

Gallup has a different view...they put the rate at 9.3 percent (Newsmax).

The unemployment rate shot up by half a percentage point in February, according to figures released by the polling organization Gallup on Thursday.

The jump from 8.6 percent in January to 9.1 percent last month is the largest month-by-month increase in more than a year, Gallup said. It is the highest rate since August.

Gallup’s figures differ from the official government unemployment rate because they do not adjust the figure for seasonal variations or include anyone under 18. The survey suggests that the official figures will also show an increase from January’s 8.3 percent when they are released on Friday, said Gallup’s chief economist Dennis Jacobe.

“If the government's unadjusted unemployment rate increases to the degree that Gallup's has from mid-month to mid-month, then the government's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate could show an even larger increase,” Jacobe said.

He predicted the government figure for February would stand at either 8.5 or 8.6 percent.

Of course, no one in the media will confront the Regime about this nor how most Americans do not see everything the way it's being portrayed.

Which poses the MIM Thought of the Day: The difference between Nixon and Obama is that if Obama had done Watergate, the media would have assisted in the cover-up.
