Just two days after the first votes in the race to pick a Republican presidential nominee, Sen. John McCain says it’s time to wrap things up.
McCain, who endorsed Mitt Romney to be the GOP nominee a day earlier, says Republicans need to “get this thing done with as quickly as possible and get into the main event.”
The Arizona senator, speaking Thursday on CBS’ “The Early Show,” says Republicans need to focus on beating President Barack Obama.

It would have been great if we didn't have to worry about beating Obama in 2012, but John McLame failed to do the job in 2008.
Reminder...so many of us, as well as this questioner at a McLame town hall, feared the possibility of an Obama Presidency. What was John McLame's response to our fears?
"I have to tell you. Sen. Obama is a decent person and a person you don't have to be scared of as president of the United States."
That was when John McLame all but surrendered the Presidency to a "decent person" who has divided America as no time since the Civil War, shredded our Constitution, and turned the Presidency into a dictatorship by thwarting the checks and balances of Congress.
The man was right, we had a lot to be afraid of. John McLame was too timid to take Obama on, just as Willard "Flip" Romney is too timid to call Obama a socialist. Romney has done this not once, but at least three times.
There's no difference between the McLame of 2008 and the Romney of 2012, so why do we want to nominate another loser to go against the most extreme, socialist, tyrannical ruler this nation has ever had?
