Lawless Obama Regime Files Brief Against Defense Of Marriage Act, Implies Act Is Based On Bigotry

As part of the Obama Regime's 2012 re-election campaign, he is pandering to another special interest group while ignoring federal law, and implying that the law and opponents of "same sex marriage" are motivated by bigotry (Associated with Obama Press).
In a strongly worded legal brief, the Obama administration has said the federal act that defines marriage as being between a man and a woman was motivated by hostility toward gays and lesbians and is unconstitutional.

The brief was filed Friday in federal court in San Francisco in support of a lesbian federal employee's lawsuit claiming the government wrongly denied health insurance coverage to her same-sex spouse.

The Justice Department says Karen Golinski's suit should not be dismissed because the law under which her spouse was denied benefits — the Defense of Marriage Act — violates the U.S. Constitution's guarantee of equal protection.

"The official legislative record makes plain that DOMA Section 3 was motivated in large part by animus toward gay and lesbian individuals and their intimate relationships, and Congress identified no other interest that is materially advanced by Section 3," the brief reads, referring to the section in the act that defines marriage as being between a man and a woman.

Though the administration has previously said it will not defend the marriage act, the brief is the first court filing in which it urges the court to find the law unconstitutional, said Tobias Barrington Wolff, a law professor at the University of Pennsylvania
.
This action by the Regime is not only desicable on its face, but utter lawlessness. Richard Milhous Obama is acting like a third-world, banana republic dictator, by usurping not just federal law passed by Congress and signed by then-President Clinton, but also the Supreme Court. At the same time, he is attacking opponents of same-sex marriage by implying bigotry where there is none, acting as only a left-wing community organizer does.

It's not just the DOMA. It's also the War Powers Act, or states deciding to not use taxpayer funds for the abortion lobby's headquarters at Planned Parenthood. This Regime and their InJustice Department have proven that laws don't apply to them. I can hear him now in the Oval Office: "Constitution, I don't need no stinking Constitution. I'm Richard Milhous Obama...Mmmmm Mmmmm Mmmmm!"

Keep in mind that Obama campaigned on healing the divide in America, and even as far back as 2004 talked of "one America." He had the audacity to lecture the nation about "civility" in January at the Together We Thrive campaign rally in Tucson, AZ; then attacks opponents of same-sex marriage in an uncivil manner.

No, the real bigotry is coming from this Regime and the godless Left, who are showing their bigotry towards people of faith and who believe in traditional values.  I have no doubt the day will come, especially if Obama is given another term, that people of faith will be threatened with hate-speech laws in order to silence them.

What is needed now is not a wimpy "that's disappointing language" by some RINO eunuch. There needs to be a strongly worded rebuke and censure of this Regime, their lawlessness and willingness to slander Americans using the most uncivil and slanderous language, simply because they believe in traditional marriage.
