MSNBC Pushes Lib For Calling Obama "Dick," But Repeated Use of "Teabagger" Slur Is OK

Funny words coming from the mouth of a liberal, Mark Halperin on MSNBC's (Moonbats Spouting Nothing But Crap) Morning Moe (with RINO Joe Scarborugh).
Mark Halperin, editor-at-large for Time, called President Obama “a dick” on Thursday on a popular MSNBC morning show and then quickly apologized.

“I thought he was a dick yesterday,” Halperin, who also is a senior political analyst for MSNBC, said on Morning Joe, referring to the President’s conduct during his press conference.

Well, regardless of his apology, Halperin was "indefinately suspended" for his impromptu editorial, even as the Obama Regime's Ministry of Propaganda called to complain.

But Americans who disagree with Richard (Tricky Dick) Milhous Obama have repeatedly been slurred with the crude term "teabagger" on the same network, and there has been no punishment from the network:

Rachel Madcow, April 2009:

Chris "Thrill Up My Leg" Matthews:

The ugly (in more ways than one) skank Janeane Garafalo:

Some lib radio host I never heard of on fat Ed Schultz' radio show:

Keith Olbermann made a career of using that word when he was on MSNBC.

Congressman Barney Frank used the slur (video at link) on Madcow's show.

MSNBC practically coined the use of this slur against the Tea Party movement. Even Obama is quoted useing the "teabagger" slur. Where was Jay Carney's outrage at his boss?

So why didn't MSNBC get rid of all these liberal hosts for using the "teabagger" phase?

Double standard.

Abusive, Dry Drunk Alec Baldwin Attacks Michele Bachmann With Crude Twitter Message

The celebrity bully known as Alec Baldwin is rearing his ugly head again (Water Cooler, Washington Times).
30 Rock" actor Alec Baldwin took to Twitter on Tuesday evening to rant and rave about Rep. Michele Bachmann's fundraising ability.

Mr. Baldwin, who started tweeting last month, suggested that the early success of the congresswoman from Minnesota is a result of her connection with "thuggish interests." He also called her "inarticulate."

"Fear Bachman bc she is raising so much money," Mr. Baldwin tweeted. "Anyone that inarticulate and full of [expletive] (note: the word was "shit") who is raising money that fast is beholden to some mighty thuggish interests."

Mrs. Bachmann, meanwhile, has relied mostly on large numbers of small donations to drive her fundraising campaign, the Associated Press reports.

Baldwin recently defended the sex addict known as Anthony Weiner, because, well, the liberal Hollywood idiot knows a lot about addiction (
Alec Baldwin realized he was an alcoholic when he found himself drinking wine while driving at 4pm in the afternoon.

The actor began boozing heavily when his acting career took off in his early 20s, and the habit soon took a grip on his life. He reveals he would regularly party all night, drinking and snorting cocaine, and then spend hours obsessively playing video games in an arcade before he could sleep.

Baldwin makes the revelation in Christopher Kennedy Lawford's new book Moments of Clarity, in which a group of celebrities discuss their addictions and how they turned their lives around.

Yeah, he's a real model citizen, an abusive, asshole father to his young daughter (audio), alleged spousal abuser to his ex-wife, a bigot with arrogant views of women, and he also threatened his daughter he'd kill himself using pills. Baldwin's behavior is typical of what alcoholics in recovery call a "dry drunk"--someone who puts the cork in the bottle but continues acting and thinking like an alcoholic.

But there's something about women that Alec the Abusive Bully likes using for targets. Could it be because any man his size would probably put his pathetic ass in its place?

Obama Press Conference - More Demagoguery, Lecturing, & Passing The Buck

I didn't watch it, but I've read several observations of it after the fact.

Richard Milhous Obama held a press conference today (his first in four months) and it was what you would expect from The Anointed One.

Professor William Jacobson summed it up best at Legal Insurrection:

He is a relentless demagogue who plays Americans against Americans and sets up false choices as part of a class warfare agenda.

Such as attacking people making over $250,000 as "corporate jet owners." Really? The same ones who got an extension of a tax break from Obama and the Democrat-led Congress in 2009?

Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit picked up on the biggest hypocrisy from Obama, reported by See BS News:

President Obama offered some harsh words of members of Congress at his news conference Wednesday, saying, “At a certain point, they need to do their job.”

Mr. Obama made the comments in reference to attempts to reach a deal to raise the debt ceiling, which the Obama administration says will be exceeded on August 2. Appearing exasperated, Mr. Obama negatively compared members to his daughters, 13-year-old Malia and 10-year-old Sasha, who he said “generally finish their homework a day ahead of time.”

“They don’t wait until the night before. They’re not pulling all nighters,” he said. “…You know, Congress can do the same thing.”

He went on to complain about Congressional Republicans’ calls for him to get more involved in the negotiations, saying that he “met with every single caucus for an hour to an hour and a half each” and “met with the leaders multiple times.”

“They need to do their job,” he said. “Now’s the time to go ahead and make the tough choices. That’s why they’re called leaders.”

He also called for members to “start having to cancel things and stay here” in Washington if there isn’t “substantial progress” by the end of the week.

Mr. Obama then took aim at members for their frequent recesses, saying “they’re in [session] one week, they’re out one week.”

“You need to be here,” he said, directing his comments at members. “I’ve been here.”

“I’ve been doing Afghanistan and bin Laden and the Greek crisis and” - he paused amid laughter from the press corps – “you stay here. Let’s get it done.”

“All right,” he concluded. “I think you know my feelings about that.”

Coming from a guy who has played golf seventy (70) times since taking office, and has played for the last 13 weekends in a row.

GP also notes Obama is hosting the women's basketball champions at the White House tonight, and will be vacationing off ritzy Martha's Vineyard, while many Americans are scaling back their own vacations.

Keep in mind also that Obama and his wife treat the Presidency as an excuse to live it up on the taxpayer dime. He jets off to fundraisers, to events overseas, holds exquisite parties at the White House, in addition to all the golf outings.

Attacking corporate jet owners.  Remember that Obama used taxpayer funds to fly "Bo" his dog on a separate jet last year to Maine.

John Boehner made a meaningless response to Obama's presser. What the Speaker really should have done was told the President to put the golf clubs and Air Force One away and do the job he was elected to do, not demagogue and pass the buck.

John Lennon - From Hippie Pinko To Closet Reagan Republican

This is an interesting footnote to the former Beetle's life (LA Times).
John Lennon, the long-haired British peacenik who was investigated by the FBI in 1972 after he allegedly contributed $75,000 to a group suspected of planning to disrupt the Republican National Convention later was a closet conservative.

Imagine that.

Fred Seaman, who was Lennon's personal assistant from 1979 until the singer's assassination in 1980, claims the former Beatle and anti-war activist favored Ronald Reagan over Jimmy Carter and would have voted for the Gipper if he could have.

"John, basically, made it very clear that if he were an American he would vote for Reagan because he was really sour on Jimmy Carter," Seaman told Seth Swirsky, who is making a film about the Fab Four.

Seaman said the guitarist "met Reagan back, I think, in the '70s at some sporting event."

"Reagan was the guy who had ordered the National Guard, I believe, to go after the young [peace] demonstrators in Berkeley, so I think that John maybe forgot about that," Seaman told Swirsky in excerpts published in the Toronto Sun. "He did express support for Reagan, which shocked me."

Reagan and Lennon did meet up for a professional football game in Los Angeles, ironically held almost six years to the day before Lennon was gunned down by a nut named Mark David Chapman (Historical Meet-Ups).

The outgoing former Mop Top met the outgoing California governor on December 9, 1974 during halftime of a Monday Night Football game between the Washington Redskins and the Los Angeles Rams at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Lennon was in town to promote his recently released album, Walls and Bridges, while Reagan was about to turn over the keys to the mansion to Governor-elect Jerry Brown after eight years in Sacramento. Play-by-play man Frank Gifford invited Reagan—an old friend from his movie days—to drop by the Monday Night Football booth, and was pleasantly surprised when Lennon accepted an invitation for the same night. Both men were slated for halftime interviews. “Gifford, you take the governor and I’ll take the Beatle,” acerbic commentator Howard Cosell informed Gifford shortly before the end of the second quarter. While the two guests waited to go on the air, Reagan put an arm around Lennon and attempted to explain the rules of American football. Lennon must have been a quick study, because in the ensuing on-air exchange with Cosell he showed a keen grasp of the differences between the U.S. game and English rugby.

Here's video of Lennon's interview that night (where he mentions "Gipper", along with Frank Gifford's reminiscence:

I have to say, even one of his songs off his last record "Double Fantasy" (always liked this song, listening to it on AM Top 40 radio in early 1981) called "Watching The Wheels" sounds like someone who looks people who expect him to continue being who he was in the late 60's and admits he "had to let it go."

If John Lennon was really sincere about his misgivings of his past, it's a shame he could not publicly make amends for misleading an entire generation with his hippie "Give Peace A Chance" and "Imagine (Communism)" crap.

Thank You Rep. Frank Wolf....Asks For IRS Probe Into CAIR Donations

After living in the districts of the retiring anti-Semite and US military hater Lynn Woolsey, and (briefly) Jim Moron, it's refreshing to live in a district with a US Representative who has their head screwed on straight, such as Virginia's Rep. Frank Wolf.

After the IRS has stripped the Hamas-linked CAIR of their 501(c)3 status, Wolf has now asked the IRS to begin an investigation to donations to CAIR (Fox News).
(Wolf) in a letter to IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman, requested an investigation into whether the group "may have violated U.S. law in soliciting or accepting money from foreign governments or agents" during the period when CAIR "failed" to file required forms to the IRS.

It's unclear exactly what CAIR failed to file. The group was included earlier this month on a list of 275,000 organizations that the IRS said were losing tax-exempt status because they did not file annual reports for three consecutive years as required by law.

Reached for comment last week, CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper described the matter as a "technical paperwork issue" and said CAIR was trying to sort it out with the IRS.

Hooper told that the organization's accountant says CAIR "filed promptly in the last several years." He said the status problem stems from "questions" over filings dating back to 2006 or 2007.

"We'll be doing whatever's necessary ... to rectify the situation," Hooper said.

CAIR's Nihad Awad, speaks at 2002 ANSWER Rally in Washington DC. Note flag of Islamic terrorist group Hezbollah off to the side

But Wolf cited concern about the possibility of CAIR improperly seeking foreign donations. His request to Shulman cited a purported letter from CAIR Director Nihad Awad to Libyan leader Muammar al-Qaddafi in 2009 asking for his support in launching a "Muslim Peace Foundation" -- that letter would have been sent long before Qaddafi launched attacks on his own people, triggering a NATO-led military campaign to protect civilians. CAIR officials have since come out against Qaddafi.

Wolf also claimed to have "information" indicating CAIR representatives "may have" traveled to Sudan to seek donations from President Omar Bashir.

"I am concerned that Awad and CAIR may be soliciting -- and receiving -- funds from other unsavory foreign governments and organizations, including some that may be sponsors of terror," Wolf wrote.

Of course, CAIR has been the main Muslim-grievance organization who intimidates anyone as "Islamophobic" who dares to question about radical Islam. CAIR was also named as an "unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial.

Liberal No-Talent Tom Petty Says To Bachmann Using "American Girl," But Allowed Hillary To Use Same Song

Another liberal idiot musician has decided that no Republican can use his music (Yahoo).
Tea Partier and Minnesota representative Michele Bachmann formally announced she'll be running for president in 2012, and already there's one rocker who's not happy about it. At her candidacy announcement today in Waterloo, Iowa, Bachmann took the stage while Tom Petty's "American Girl" played on the speakers. When word reached Petty that Bachmann was using his tune, his reps quickly hit Bachmann's team with a cease-and-desist letter, NBC reports.

Contrast that with what Petty did in 2008.
Petty, however, did allow Hillary Rodham Clinton to use "American Girl" during the former First Lady's 2008 presidential bid, so you can guess which way Petty might be voting.

So, as with the hippie Jackson Browne, the draft-dodger Bruce Springsteen, the has-beens known as the Van Halen brothers, and the two wide-load Wilson sisters (Heart), use of their music by conservatives is verboten, but lib socialists can use them all they want.

Contrast that attitude with the graciousness that country stars Brooks & Dunn showed when Richard Milhous Obama used their song "Only In America," which Bush had used (and they played at his inauguration).

Well screw you Tom Petty, you no talent liberal idiot! I never liked your crappy music anyway.  You can't sing or play a guitar.

Clinton Era Intern Turned "Journalist" Attacks Bachmann "The Unhinged Presidential Candidate"

Lapdogs in the media who claim Richard Milhous Obama is the most intelligent man ever to hold the White House always overlook his mistakes (57 States of America), the worst of which occurred last week when a posthumous Medal of Honor winner was said by "The One" to be living.

But the libs are going after Michele Bachmann today, because of what she said in Waterloo, Iowa, such as Steve Benen of the Washington Monthly.
Rep. Michele Bachmann, the unhinged Republican presidential candidate, desperately wants the public to believe she’s a “serious person,” and not at all a “flake.” She could start by avoiding mistakes like these.

Rep. Michele Bachmann kicked off her presidential campaign on Monday in Waterloo, Iowa, and in one interview surrounding the official event she promised to mimic the spirit of Waterloo’s own John Wayne.

The only problem, as one eagle-eyed reader notes: Waterloo’s John Wayne was not the beloved movie star, but rather John Wayne Gacy, the serial killer.

Thanks to fellow Freepers at, it was pointed out that Benen "was an intern in Bill Clinton's White House Office of Speechwriting. In 1996, he was the communications director for an unsuccessful Democratic congressional campaign in Pennsylvania. From 1997 to 2002, Benen worked in the communications department at Americans United for the Separation of Church and State."

Plus, they referenced many of his recent Tweets:

As for Bachmann's slip of the toungue, Jonn at This Ain't Hell states:
Big damn deal, for Pete’s sake. John Wayne was born in Winterset, Iowa – three hours away from Waterloo. So what difference does it make? It’s Iowa, for cryin’ outloud. Not knowing the difference between Winterset and Waterloo doesn’t matter – what matters is that she knows the difference between John Wayne’s and John Wayne Gacy’s Americas.

Notice that the Think Progress article doesn’t mention where John Wayne was actually born…probably because they don’t know, or they didn’t want their readers to know that Bachmann was only an inch or so on the map off.

I’m no Bachmann fan, but I’m getting sick of this one-way nit-picking.

Unfortunately, this nit-picking is what passes for "news," especially when the so-called "mainstream media" is filled with Democrat party hacks like Chrissy Boy Matthews and Steve Benen.

Chris "Thill Up My Leg" Matthews Smears Michele Bachmann: Praising Founding Fathers = Slavery

Now that his boy crush on Richard Milhous Obama is threatened by a strong, powerful conservative woman, the drunk Chris Matthews took to MSNBC to smear Michele Bachmann (Newsbusters).
After playing a clip of Michele Bachmann longing for a return to the "Founders' vision of a constitutionally conservative government," MSNBC's Chris Matthews on Monday assumed the Republican presidential candidate meant "slavery."

The Hardball anchor offered bizarre analogies, questioning former RNC Chair Michael Steele on Bachmann's 2012 campaign: "What is this, Michael? The Protestant Reformation? That somehow we're going back to the purity of the original Christian church?"

Immediately jumping to the worst interpretation, Matthews continued, "We're going back to the original perfection of slaveholders and how perfect they were and government is the enemy. She speaks pure Tea Party lingo."

After Steele asserted that Bachmann was simply "reminding us of foundational principles," the liberal anchor smeared, "What? Slavery?"

I won't even try to explain this to "Furrball" because what the hell does a former aide to Tip O'Neill and Jimmy Carter know about the Founding Fathers anyway.

Newsbusters also has a compilation of other attacks on Bachmann, including several by Matthews.  Something about strong conservative women offends these liberal "men" who claim to champion women.

Obama's "Dinner With Me & Bite Me" Advertisement Violates Campaign Laws

And violating FEC Campaign Finance Laws is a "big f**kin' deal!" (Real Clear Politics, via Fox Nation).

Obama 2012 campaign: President Obama himself makes an unexpected announcement about the upcoming "Dinner with Barack" contest.

To participate in the contest you need to donate at least $5 to the campaign and your name will be raffled off to enjoy a dinner with the President, airfare and accommodations included. In a new web video, Obama announced Vice President Joe Biden will also be attending the dinner.

There is one problem, however. This campaign ad was most likely recorded in the White House, which may have violated FEC campaign finance laws.

It was reported earlier this month the White House was used by the Democrat Party as a location for a fundraiser (Lonely Conservative).

Bumper Stickers Around Town: Interesting Way To Depict How Obama Is Full Of Hot Air

Prof. William Jacobson at Legal Insurrection always puts up some interesting bumper stickers (liberal and conservative) from readers.

The other night while going to the grocery store, I found a really good one.

With a descriptive and graphic way to describe how full of hot air Obama is.....

....along with a favorite of any red, blooded patriot.

College Democrats Of America: Misinforming One Student At A Time

Donald Douglas has this interesting video up at American Power, a promo for the College Democrats of America.

Roll the tape:

Many of these responses had me slapping my head with my hand asking, WTF?

"I believe the government should take care of its citizens."

In the sense that the primary role of government is to defend this nation from threats, yes. But not in the sense that government is supposed to give you everything and even wipe your mouth as well. I guess that gal would have a problem with this guy.

Just the the modern Democrats who so revere JFK would probably kick him out of the party if he were to come back to life today. A Democrat who was anti-Communist and promoted "tax cuts for the rich," OMG! "JFK sounds too much like Ronald Reagan" is what the Obamabots would say, because they've been blinded by the myth of Camelot. Instead of promoting what JFK said at his inauguration, Democrats have turned too many Americans into dependents who look at Washington and say "gimme, gimme, gimme!"

Then there's the guy in the video who said the Democrats were "the party of civil rights." Really? I wonder if this guy knew that it was a Republican (Abraham Lincoln) who freed the slaves, and a Republican (Dwight D. Eisenhower) who signed the first civil rights act (1957), which was kind of toothless thanks to Southern Democrats like Lyndon B. Johnson. The 1964 Civil Rights Act would not have passed if it hadn't been for Republicans, due to Southern Democrats like Al Gore Sr. and the former KKK Kleagle Robert "Sheets" Byrd, who filibustered the bill. Johnson was known by many in Texas as being racist to the core. He was quoted in Ronald Kessler's book "Inside The White House" as telling two Democrat governors on Air Force One, "I'll have those niggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years."

Maybe once they get out in the real world, these kids will get "mugged by reality" and find out everything the Democrats have told them isn't quite true.

Two Bombs Found In Denver-Area Mall

From Yahoo News:
Two bombs were found inside a Borders Bookstore in a suburban Denver shopping mall overnight, the FBI said on Saturday.

Police were summoned to the Colorado Mills Mall in Lakewood early on Saturday after a store alarm sounded, the FBI said in a news release.

Police discovered evidence of forced entry and found two explosive devices.

The Jefferson County Bomb Squad responded to the scene, but the FBI did not say if the devices detonated.

"No injuries were reported and no threats have been communicated to Borders or the Mall," the FBI release said.
More from Channel 9 in Denver:

"I think it's pretty clear [the devices] were intentionally set," Dave Joly, a spokesman with the FBI, said. Joly would not elaborate on the type of devices found.

There are no injuries and no threats were made to the Borders store or the mall according to the FBI. Lakewood police says the scene is secure and the mall, with the exception of Borders, is open.

It is still unclear whether there is more than one suspect. Joly says the video they have is minimal and they are working to bring more investigators in on the case.

A representative from Borders is confirming the same reports about the device. Borders released the following statement Saturday afternoon:

"We take the safety of our employees and customers very seriously. To that end, we are cooperating with authorities to the fullest extent as they investigate this incident."

New York Passes Gay Marriage Law

The New York Senate just passed a law allowing for homosexual marriage in the State of New York by a vote of 33-29.

Gabriel Maylor at Ace of Spades writes:
Passage in the Assembly is a foregone conclusion. Governor Cuomo lobbied long and hard for a gay marriage law; he'll sign.

I've noted before that it's much, much better to get these laws from the statehouses and not the courthouses. Like all gay marriage laws that have been passed by legislatures, the NY marriage law will contain religious conscience exemptions. The states who had marriage forced on them by the courts didn't have an opportunity to get protections for churches and religious organizations.

Gay Trivia:

Although five other states currently have gay marriage laws, the New York marriage law will double the number of Americans living in places that have legalized gay marriages.

The New York senate is the first Republican-controlled legislative body to pass a marriage equality bill.

I guess the four Republicans were afraid of being glittered by the intolerant militant gays.

Mexican Military Trucks Cross US Border - Second Time This Year

From in Laredo, TX, via Tom Tancredo.
A convoy of three military trucks loaded with Mexican soldiers crosses the border at Bridge Number Two clearly violating international law.

It happens as Customs and Border Protection inspectors try to figure out what to do.

A CBP spokesperson says they got on the phone with Mexican authorities after being alerted that the military trucks were heading their direction loaded down with soldiers and weapons.

Mexican leaders say the soldiers, who had just been deployed to Nuevo Laredo, didn't know the area, got lost and then made their way through Bridge Two.

It's important to note that CBP did not tell us about the potentially serious situation. It came from another law enforcement agency.

Some callers to our newsroom were upset inspectors allowed the Mexican military to get so close to all those inspection booths over at Bridge Number Two.

Some noted had it been Mexican drug lords they could have taken inspectors by surprise and easily crossed the international border deeper into the United States.

A similar event happened in February of this year, down the river at the Anzalduas International Bridge near Mission, TX.

Will Texas Governor Rick Perry, is he's seriously considering a presidential run, get serious about this and either let Washington & the State Deparment know, or, better yet, put the Texas National Guard on the border?

Two Months After Glenn Beck Is Accused Of Taking Bloggers' Material Without Attribution, A Beck-Affiliated Website Doesn't Credit Sources

Back in mid-April, the Daily Caller published a story accusing radio and TV host Glenn Beck of taking video and other content from various conservative bloggers without giving attribution.
A number of conservative activists and bloggers say they’re furious at media magnate Glenn Beck for what they call content theft. Over the past several years, Beck has relied on video, audio and written content from others to fill his radio and television shows, as well as his websites. Often he has credited his fellow conservatives for their work. Yet in many other instances say dozens of conservative journalists who spoke to The Daily Caller, he has not, often taking elaborate steps to cloak the origins of the material.

Read the rest. It's a lengthy piece with many sources. Unlike the "out for themselves" types like David Frum, these are real, hardworking conservative bloggers and activists who are sources for this piece.

Beck's style hasn't always been my cup of tea, but I respect his passion and ability to bring people together, such as the Restoring Honor rally, which was a great, uplifting event. I'm sorry to see that a couple of months after this article is published, the Beck-affiliated website The Blaze is taking content appearing on conservative blogs and claims it as their "original material."

Glenn, some of us might not be fans or followers like other hosts or personalities, but a little friendly're better than this! Don't keep doing this thing your doing and damage the good you've done. Time to practice some rigorous honesty here.

Source - Texas Governor Perry Will Run For President

According to this at the Daily Beast, linked by the Austin Business Journal (via FreeRepublic).
Add another one to the already-lengthy list: Rick Perry has decided to run for president, an informed Republican source says. The Texas governor had previously ruled out a run, but he picked up several top staffers after Newt Gingrich’s staff imploded and was said to be reconsidering. Perry will announce his run sometime this summer, likely before the Iowa Straw Poll on August 13. With his outspoken Texas attitude, accent, and approach, he’d provide a strong contrast to smoother-talking, calmer, more northern candidates like Mitt Romney, Jon Huntsman, and Tim Pawlenty, and has social conservative bona fides to boot. But for what it’s worth, his camp officially says he’s still thinking about it.

I have to say, with family and friends still in Texas, I hear a lot about what a good job he's done there (I even remember his first statewide run for elected office). I wonder though, if the stigma of another Texas governor running for President might hurt him nationwide.

SICK! PETA Uses Murder Of Baby In Microwave To Promote Veganism

Actually, sick is mild for what you're about to read.  This is just demented, evil, and mentally ill (FOX 40 Sacramento, via Drudge Report on Twitter).
A national animal rights group is using a recent Sacramento case about a mother allegedly microwaving her child to death as the inspiration for an ad campaign.

PETA released a statement to FOX40 explaining the new billboard “that features the image of a person who is about to pop a pork chop into the microwave next to a picture of a loving mother pig and reads, “Everybody's Somebody's Baby. Go Vegan.’ ”

The group says they are in negotiation with outdoor advertisers to put up this billboard “in the wake of Tuesday’s arrest of a Sacramento woman for allegedly microwaving her infant daughter”.

Ka Yang faces allegations she put her 6-month-old child in the microwave and turned it on. The baby girl was found dead earlier this year. Yang admitted to Sacramento officers she had a seizure and dropped her baby on a space heater. However, investigators say that is not possible based on the burn marks, which they identified as being from a microwave.

Yang was assigned a public defender at a Thursday court hearing, she’ll be in court again on July 14th.

PETA’s founder, Ingrid E. Newkirk stated in the press release that all animals mourn the loss of their babies when they are taken away. “We're horrified at the thought of microwaving a helpless baby and hope that this billboard will open hearts and minds to the grief of other mothers who have their babies torn away from them simply to satisfy humans' fleeting taste sensations," says Newkirk.

Newkirk is the last one to speak on the subject of killing animals. According to PETAKillsAnimals, the supposed animal rights group has killed over 25,000 cats, dogs, puppies and kittens that could have been adopted.

Two Men Arrested For Plotting To Attack Seattle Military Processing Center

And no, they weren't members of any Christian denomonation either (KIRO- TV 7)
Two men have been arrested in a plot to use machine guns and grenades in an attack on a military processing station in Seattle that also houses a daycare, the U.S. Justice Department said Thursday.

Abu Khalid Abdul-Latif, also known as Joseph Anthony Davis, of Seattle, and Walli Mujahidh, also known as Frederick Domingue Jr., of Los Angeles, were arrested Wednesday night.

They made initial court appearances Thursday on terrorism and firearms charges. The defendants both only said "yes" when asked if they understood the charges. Their attorney asked for more time, and the judge set a new hearing for next Wednesday.

According to a federal complaint against the men, Abdul-Latif said the motive for the planned attack was his anger over the United State's "real or perceived activities in Afghanistan, Iraq and Yemen." He also said he thought the murder of American soldiers was justifiable.

The building, the Military Entrance Processing Station on East Marginal Way in Seattle, also houses a daycare. Recruits for all military branches are screened and processed there.

There is also a scribd copy of the criminal complaint at the KIRO's website:

Obama's Surrender In Afghanistan Speech - What A Disgrace! Referred To Himself 12 Times, Doesn't Thank Gen. Petraeus

I just finished suffering through Obama's speech about Afghanistan and it was a disgrace.

Jerks like John McLame and Lindsey Grahmnesty want to call Republicans "isolationists?"  In reality, Richard Milhous Obama is the isolationist.

First, Obama takes a swipe at his predecessor, attacking the Iraq war (as all liberals have done), and say everything that was done then was wrong.  Then, the fool wants to reference his illegal war in Libya, where other nations (France) are taking the lead, and he says that's how wars should be fought.  Are you crazy?  Ninety days into this and NATO cannot even overthrow Quadaffi.  Listening to him, he has no knowledge whatsoever on how to fight or win a war.

Remember that Obama dithered for three months when Gen McChrystal wanted the surge troops.

This speech was not in the best interests of American security, it was all in the best interest of Richard Milhous Obama's political future.  He wants to regain his anti-US military base (Code Pinkos) who brought him to office.  His speech was nothing different I'd hear from some of these anti-war drones who scream "money for healthcare, not warfare," except it was "nation building here at home." This was about America's national security being too costly to pay for his and the Democrat's failed socialist schemes like endless bailouts, Obamacare, and green jobs.  We're running out of money and he's looking to cut.  The military is always the first place liberals look to cut.

Al-Queda and the Tall-ee-ban are laughing and high-fiving each other tonight, and Obama is making sure all those who died in Afghanistan have died in vain, as well as the fact (like Iraq) a new generation may be going back to fight there in 10 years, because we weren't willing to finish the job.

So much for the promise that Afghanistan was the war we had to win (see earlier).  This was what I feared ever since 2001, that liberals only saw the War on Terror as capturing or killing one man, Osama bin Laden.  Then, it was time to come home and forget about getting rid of the other terrorists who were willing to take his place.

I wasn't watching the speech on TV, but Mark Levin was just saying there was no American flags behind Obama when he gave his speech.

Addendum - I looked at the video, and there was one flag on his right on the podium, but none down the hallway.  It would not be visible once the camera zooms in.  Interestingly, when Bush spoke on the capture of Saddam Hussein, and the 2007 Iraq war speech, there was a flag behind him, in camera view.

Thanks to Alana Burke, via Twitter, I missed this.  Obama asserted that Afghanistan is no longer a terrorist threat to America.  Really?  Then why are the Tall-ee-ban trying again to recapture the nation?

Fox Nation: Obama Doesn't Thank Gen. Petraeus.
Wednesday night, President Obama addressed the nation and explained his plans for bringing home American troops from Afghanistan after a successful surge operation. Obama referred to himself over a dozen times but never mentioned General Petreaus, the architect of the troop surge. Obama called the surge one of the most difficult decisions he's had to make as President, in a speech directed towards electoral politics.

What a horse's ass! More "me, me, I, me, I." The decision to send the surge troops was a difficult one, it took three months and several rounds of golf to ponder that move.

No wonder he didn't thank Petraeus, the General thought the number of troops Obama would start to withdraw was too high, according to the LA Times.  Yeah, Obama was in a hurry and (like Libya) only wants to hear the information he wants to hear.

Pentagon Bomb Threat Suspect Linked To Marine Corps Museum, Recruiting Station Shootings

The guy behind the bomb scare last Friday at the Pentagon has allegedly been linked to shootings this past fall at the Marine Corps Museum and a Chantilly, VA Marine Corps recruiting station (WTOP).
Forensic evidence has linked Yonathan Melaku to five shootings of military recruiting centers and the Pentagon in October.

Melaku, 22, was detained Friday after he was found outside Arlington National Cemetery. Melaku claimed he had ammonium nitrate with him in his backpack and that he had left material at the Pentagon.

A law enforcement source tells WTOP approximately 20 nine-millimeter shell casings were found in Melaku's car. FBI tested the casings and notified other agencies about a connection between Melaku and two of the October shooting.

When contacted by WTOP, the FBI had no comment and said the investigation is ongoing.

Four targets were shot at last fall, including the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Triangle twice, along with a Coast Guard recruiting station at the Potomac Mills mall, a Marine Corps recruitment center in Chantilly and the Pentagon.

No one was hurt in the October shootings.

Melaku, a naturalized citizen originally from Ethiopia, has not been charged with any crimes and officials say he acted alone. He is being held in U.S. Park Police custody.

Melaku was arrested last month by Leesburg Police in connection with incidents of auto tampering and charged with four counts of grand larceny.

Obama Opponents In Pacific Northwest = White Supremacists, Says Media

It happened numerous times in 2008, where opponents of Richard Milhous Obama's candidacy for President were tarred and feathered with racist motives by the media lapdogs who were bound and determined to elect him.

Now, in the run up to 2012, they're playing on the same fears (Associated with Obama Press/Yahoo News).
After a lull following the demise of the Idaho-based neo-Nazi Aryan Nations in 2000, anti-government and white supremacist groups and individuals may be reviving in the Inland Northwest. It's a mostly white, mostly rural area with few job opportunities and a history of extreme activists.

Experts say the number of radical right groups is growing across the country because of the poor state of the economy, rising immigration and fears that President Barack Obama's administration has an agenda to curtail individual liberties.

They include so-called patriot groups, which fear one-world government and don't accept the federal government's authority. And they like northwest Montana because there is no dominant major city with liberal politics. It also has a deep libertarian streak and live-and-let-live attitude, said Travis McAdam, executive director of the Helena-based Montana Human Rights Network, an anti-hate group.

"A lot of anti-government energy has been building up over the last couple of years," McAdam said.

Guess who the "experts" are who claim there's an increase in the "radical right groups?" You guessed it....the pockmarked Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center, the same idiot who once labeled the American Legion as a hate group.

The number of hate groups and patriot groups, which do not all share beliefs and conduct, has been growing across the country since Obama was elected in 2008, according to an annual report by the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, Ala., which tracks extremist groups and individuals.

"Montana is developing into a hotbed," said Mark Potok, director of the SPLC Intelligence Project.

SPLC's 2010 compilation of active hate groups found 1,002 nationwide, with no more than 12 in the Inland Northwest between Missoula and Spokane.

Montana developed a reputation as a place for violent extremists in the mid-1990s with the capture of "Unabomber" Theodore Kaczynski and a standoff involving a patriot group called the Montana Freemen.

The Unabomber was the FBI code name for Kaczynski, who engaged in a mail bombing spree that spanned nearly 20 years, killing three people. He was living near Lincoln, Mont., when he was arrested in 1996.

Of course, they link back to the 1990s because of false claims in the media that "militia groups" were inspired by talk radio (ie Rush Limbaugh) and carried out acts of terror like Oklahoma City. Never mind that the Unabomber was a tree-hugging, environnut who even had a copy of Algore's book "Earth in the Balance" in his secluded hut.

A(O)P also falsely paints Montana as an ultraconvservative bastion. If that's the case, then why does the state have two liberal Democrats as US Senators and a Democrat Governor? Not only that, John McLame won the state's three electoral votes by a 2.5 percent margin 49.7 to 47.2 percent over Obama. So if the state is full of racist white people, when why did Obama lose the state by such a narrow margin.

Table from USA Today

Also remember, that earlier this year, in Missoula, MT, a children's theatre group included a scene in a Gilbert & Sullivan play that called for the beheading of Sarah Palin.

This propaganda is coming from the same media who were not interested in the 20 years Obama spent in a "church" that could only be called racist, as well as black-supremacist. We have news today that his former minister of hate went on another anti-Semitic rant, yet Mark Potok, A(O)P and the rest of the lapdogs ignore that.

This will be the media template played up to the 2012 election, as it was during the opposition to ObamaCare and the rise of the Tea Party.

Obama Ready To Cut & Run From Afghanistan

Richard Milhous Obama is starting the down payment to surrender Afghanistan to the Taliban--beginning to remove troops.  Showing how you can't get the same news from the stenographers in the Obama Lapdog Media in America, the UK Guardian (via Gateway Pundit) says the troop draw down comes against the wishes of our generals.
Barack Obama is set to reject the advice of the Pentagon by announcing on Wednesday night the withdrawal of up to 30,000 troops from Afghanistan by November next year, in time for the US presidential election.

The move comes despite warnings from his military commanders that recent security gains are fragile. They have been urging him to keep troop numbers high until 2013.

The accelerated draw down will dismay American and British commanders in Kabul, who have privately expressed concern that the White House is now being driven by political rather than military imperatives.

"This is not something we feel entirely comfortable with," a Whitehall official told the Guardian.
Remember that during the Presidential Campaign of 2008, Obama said repeatedly that we "took our eye off Afghanistan" and focused instead on Iraq (CNSNews).
“We took our eye off Afghanistan. We took our eye off the folks who perpetrated 9/11. [W]e are having enormous problems in Afghanistan because of that decision [to invade Iraq],”

“We allowed the Taliban and Al Qaeda to regenerate itself when we had them on the ropes. That was a big mistake, and it’s one I’m going to correct when I’m president.”

“(Afghanistan) has to be our central focus, the central front, on our battle against terrorism.”

“Our troops and our NATO allies are performing heroically in Afghanistan, but I have argued for years that we lack the resources to finish the job because of our commitment to Iraq. And that’s why, as president, I will make the fight against Al Qaeda and the Taliban (Taleeban) the top priority that it should be. This is a war that we have to win,”

"Our real focus has to be on Afghanistan, the border regions between Afghanistan and Pakistan . . . [t]hat’s my number one priority as president of the United States.”
Rhetoric and reality have always been two conflicting entities in the Obama Regime. He was unwilling to send then-General McChrystal all the troops he requested. Now, Obama is unwilling to win a war he said needed to be won, and is willing to negotiate with the Taliban and give Afghanistan back to the same people who harbored al-Queda.

All while he has gotten NATO and the US involved in an illegal war in Libya where there is no strategy and no threat to US security.

So much for winning the war in Afghanistan, and that being the "number one priority."  Appeasing his Code Pinko anti-military voting bloc in time for the ballot box is more important.

Glitch In ObamaCare Law Gives Middle Class Free Healthcare

Which is why the government has no business getting in the insurance business, with screw ups like this (AP Yahoo News).
President Barack Obama's health care law would let several million middle-class people get nearly free insurance meant for the poor, a twist government number crunchers say they discovered only after the complex bill was signed.

The change would affect early retirees: A married couple could have an annual income of about $64,000 and still get Medicaid, said officials who make long-range cost estimates for the Health and Human Services department.

After initially downplaying any concern, the Obama administration said late Tuesday it would look for a fix.

Do you think it might have helped to have read this 2,000 plus page bill first before voting on it, or is that just too much common sense?

But nooooooooooooooooooooo! Nancy Pelosi knew better, because she told us....

Since when are laws supposed to be like fortune cookies. This bill is flushing our national fortune down the drain.

The only fix for ObamaCare is to REPEAL IT!

Rep. Lynn Woolsey Says Code Pinko Who Interrupted Netanyahu "Made Me Proud" -- (UPDATED) Supporter Of Traitor Bradley Manning Also Speaks

Not surprising, we have one of the most far-Left members of Congress promoting incivility in the House of Representatives against our ally Israel.

Code Pinko Activist Rae Abileah interrupted Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu during his speech to Congress last month, in violation of House rules for guests in the gallery.  She was arrested and later claimed she was injured.

Rep. Lynn Woolsey, who represents the aging hippie socialists in Marin and Sonoma counties, had Rae speak at her anti-America rally in San Rafael this past Saturday.

After chanting "Not one dollar, not one dime" against Israel, Woolsey said Rae "made her very proud."

Original video above shot by YouTube user kj4justice

Remember that Lynn Woolsey, the defender of the rapist of a Terra Linda teenager, also aided Cindy Sheehan in her attempt to interrupt President George W. Bush at the 2006 State of the Union address.

Lynn Woolsey is showing that she proudly supports not just the elimination of Israel, but she also supports and gives aid to a group who gave $600,000 to Iraqi terrorists in Fallujah, Iraq when they were fighting US Marines in 2004.

And Democrats wonder why many question their patriotism, since they're always found on the side of America's enemies.

UPDATE; Thanks to another YouTube video from user berniestephan, I was able to get the following screen shots of the anti-America rally.  Such as other members of the anti-Israel crowd in attendance.

Besides a Vietnam-era draft dodger and the Code Pinko activist, Woolsey (below) was not ashamed to stand with a supporter of the traitor Bradley Manning.  The speaker below supported Manning, who illegally took classified documents and leaked them to Julian Assange and Wikileaks, and asked he be freed from prison.

Dumb hippies mock Uncle Sam, thinking wars are only fought to keep "fat cats" rich.

The MorOns from were there.

Did someone tell this MorOn that Bush and Cheney are no longer President and Vice President, or has he been so stoned the last three years he hasn't noticed?

Operation Fast & Furious: Holder "Absolutely Knew," Says Rep. Issa

CNSNews, via Fox Nation, interviewed Congressman Darrell Issa of California, who is investigating Operation Fast & Furious (aka Gunnrunner), and says Attorney General Eric Holder knew about this operation.
House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darrell Issa (R.-Calif.) told in an interview that he believes the Justice Department is covering up information relevant to a congressional investigation of an operation in which the department knowingly allowed intermediaries of Mexican drug cartels to purchase guns at licensed firearms dealers in the United States and then get away without being arrested or the guns being retrieved.

Last December, two of those guns ended up at the scene of the murder of a U.S. Border Patrol agent who was killed by alleged agents of the Mexican drug cartels.

Issa pointed to two things he says indicates a Justice Department cover up. First, he cites a letter that Assistant Attorney General Ronald Weich, head of the Justice Department’s office of legislative affairs, sent to Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee on Feb. 4, 2011. Issa characterizes that letter as a “lie.”

Secondly, Issa says the Justice Department made excessive and unjustifiable redactions in documents it provided to his committee.

Additionally, Issa says he does not believe Attorney General Eric Holder testified accurately in the Judiciary Committee on May 3, when he told Issa (who also serves on that committee) that he had only learned of the gun-running operation—called “Operation Fast and Furious"--a few weeks before that. asked Issa if he would say that the Justice Department has been covering up in the face of the congressional probe. “Yes I would,” said Issa, pointing to the DOJ letter to Sen. Grassley and the excess redaction of documents.

“There are two kinds of cover ups,” he said. “There is one in which you lie to people in order to mislead them. That letter represents that type of coverup. There’s also the one in which you delay and deny in an attempt to simply not have the facts come out. Clearly they’ve done that with Sen. Grassley, first, and then with our committee, because some of the things that they redacted, we have the unredacted versions from whistleblowers. We believe they did excess redacting, which again is denying us that which would be reasonable to deliver us. We’re hoping that that’s changed. We hope that what was said yesterday, there is in fact a change in the administration’s view in order to not be embarrassed.”

In his Feb. 4, 2011 letter to Sen. Grassley, Assistant Attorney General Ronald Weich, had denied that the Justice Department knowingly “sanctioned” the sale of guns to people they believed were going to deliver them to Mexican drug cartels.

“At the outset, the allegation described in your January 27 letter--that ATF ‘sanctioned’ or otherwise knowingly allowed the sale of assault weapons to a straw purchaser who then transported them to Mexico--is false,” Weich wrote. “ATF makes every effort to interdict weapons that have been purchased illegally and prevent their transportation to Mexico.”

At a hearing in Issa’s Oversight Committee on Wednesday, two ATF agents gave sworn testimony directly contradicting Weich’s letter.

“This is not a matter of some weapons that had gotten away from us or allowing a few to walk so that we could follow them to a much larger, more significant target,” ATF Special Agent John Dodson told the committee. “Allowing loads of weapons that we knew to be destined for criminals was the plan, this was the mandate.”

According to Issa, Justice Department documents secured by his committee also contradicted Weich’s letter.

Read the link and watch the interviews. This whole episode is a disgrace. Compounding that is the possibility there was an agenda by the Regime into letting these gunrunners let guns bought in the US be smuggled into would prove the point made in the early days of the Regime, that 90 percent of guns used by drug cartels came from the United States.  The claim was false, but the Regime sait it was true anyway, and were never held to question for it.  The "Gunrunner" project would help prove that point, and sound the calls for more gun control, which the liberal gun-grabbers wanted.

The Head of the ATF may still resign, but this goes further up than him.

Texas Lawmakers Look Again To Restrict TSA's Groping At Texas Airports

God Bless Texas! (WOAI - San Antonio)
Texas lawmakers will reconsider a bill that would criminalize ‘enhanced pat downs’ by Transportation Security Administration agents at the state’s airports, after Gov. Rick Perry placed the item on the agenda for the current special session of the legislature following intense pressure from conservatives and tea party groups.

“I am grateful that the governor heard the calls of the people demanding that lawmakers stand up for the liberties of Texans,” said Wesley Strackbein, a conservative activist and founder of' TSA'. Strackbein Saturday traveled to New Orleans to confront Perry at a book signing event and demand that the item be placed on the legislative agenda.

The bill would make it the crime of official oppression, a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in prison of a $4,000 fine, for a TSA agent to ‘touch the anus, sexual organ, buttocks, or breast of another person, even thought that person’s clothing’ for the purpose of ‘granting access to a building or a form of transportation.’

The measure passed the Texas House during the regular session but was pulled off the floor without a vote during the regular session after U.S. Attorney John Murphy circulated a letter to Senators warning that the TSA has the authority to prevent airplanes from taking off from Texas airports if the agency cannot certify that they are safe.

The bill’s chief sponsor, freshman State Representative David Simpson, says he has the support needed to pass the bill, pointing out that 121 of the 181 members of the Texas Legislature, Democrat and Republican, have signed on as co sponsors.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Eric Holder and Richard Milhous Obama!

McCain Mouths Off Again: Attacks His Own Party As "Isolationist"

John McLame, perhaps the worst GOP Presidential candidate since Bob Dole, showed yesterday what a complete idiot he is (The World Today).

This is isolationism. There has always been an isolation strain or isolation strain in the Republican Party, the Pat Buchanan wing of our party, but now it seems to have moved more centre stage so to speak but I do want to send a message and that is that we cannot move into an isolationist party.

The RINO Senator from Arizona was backed up by his obedient lapdog, Sen. Lindsey Grahamnesty of South Carolina (Polutico).
"Congress should sort of shut up and not empower [Libyan leader Muammar] Qadhafi," Graham said on NBC's "Meet the Press."

Who said anything about empowering Qaddafi, dumb ass?

There are a lot of reasons to question the "kinetic military action" in Libya. First, what is the strategic goal and why are we there. True, Grahmnesty has said the Regime has been vague about this, and it appears as if there's just a "throwing pebbles" approach to this action. Three months later and Qaddafi hasn't been toppled?

Who are these "rebels" we're helping? There've been reports al-Queda is mixed in among them. This is a legitimate question....are we aiding our enemies? No one in our government has answered this.

Most important...what is the threat Libya poses to the United States? They haven't been a threat since the 1980s, and note that the War in Iraq and terror forced Qaddafi to give up his weapons programs voluntarily. He's basically been neutered.

Obama and most of the liberals are being hypocrites, as I said last night. For all the screaming about "illegal wars" under Bush (there were none), he is breaking US law on Libya, no matter what you might think of the War Powers Act. Just the fact he's doing what the Left accused Bush of doing--picking and choosing the legal opinions he wants to listen to on Libya--is proof of how much Obama cannot defend this action. Saying the UN okayed it doesn't work either. The UN doesn't supersede US laws.

As far as Afghanistan and Iraq, I have supported involvement in both conflicts and still do.  What I don't support is how this Regime has spent the last two years fighting a half-measures war.  You don't win wars that way.

I find it funny, that the dastardly duo of McLame and Grahamnesty can attack the GOP for isolationism, but haven't been as tough over Democrats who have spent the last 40 years aiding and abetting America's enemies like the Communist Soviet Union and the Islamofascists.

Marin County Hippies Protest War On Terror (Again), Silent On Obama's Illegal War In Libya

It wouldn't be an anti-American rally in Marin County without some aging hippie musician who played Woodstock and a Vietnam-era draft dodger speaking at an event hosted by the most far-Left lunatic in Congress to protest "Bush's Wars" in Afghanistan and Iraq, aka "The War on Terror" (or in the age of Obama, "Overseas Contingency Operations").

The Marin IJ's music crirtic (shows how much "journalism" is practiced at that communist rag) wrote this following article on the hippie gathering.

Barry Melton, former lead guitarist for Country Joe and the Fish, whose biggest hit, "I-Feel-Like-I'm-Fixin'-to-Die Rag," became an anthem of the anti-war movement in the '60s, looked out at a small crowd of peace activists in downtown San Rafael on Saturday and said with a nostalgic smile, "This is the first rally like this I've been to in a while."

A recently retired Yolo County Public Defender, Melton and Joe McDonald (note: "Country" Joe McDonald was named after Joseph Stalin) became counter culture icons for their musical protests against the Vietnam War in the '60s and '70s.

"It's not like the topic still isn't a current one," he observed on Saturday, standing beside a stage set up in San Rafael's City Plaza. "On the hopeful side, they (the federal government) might run out of enough money to do all this craziness."

Melton was among the progressive luminaries who appeared at "It's Time for Peace," a rally hosted by Rep. Lynn Woolsey, D-Petaluma.

...Marin author David Harris, a former Stanford University student body president who served a federal prison term for refusing to serve in the military during the Vietnam War (read: draft dodger), said from the stage:

"How sweet is it to live some place where your congressperson calls for peace demonstrations rather than be the object of them?"

He earned the loudest ovations of the day when he read an open letter to President Obama, beseeching him to bring home all U.S. troops from Afghanistan and Iraq, calling their presence a disaster."

"In case you've forgotten, we're the reason you got through Iowa in the first place," he said, referring to Obama's pivotal Iowa victory during the Democratic primary. "We deserve better than this. And if you're not smart enough to drop your George Bush costume and act like the sensible, intelligent man we expected you would be, then we're going to have to go out and find a president who is."

About 200 people, many of them from peace and justice and veterans organizations (sic) from Marin and Sonoma counties, attended the event. Many speakers decried the "permanent" state of war the country has been in since the Gulf War more than 20 years ago.

Woolsey, one of the most vocal anti-war members in Congress, told the crowd, "We've been at war now for almost 10 years straight. I have five beautiful grandchildren. Two of them are here today, and not one of them can remember a time when our nation wasn't at war. These wars are degrading, dehumanizing, and we must oppose them fearlessly."
Well, we can thank Lynn Woolsey and all the members of the Party of Treason (aka Democrats) who did their best to hamstring the military and the then Commander in Chief George W. Bush, in fighting wars that were authorized by Congress but were made partisan issues by Democrats.

I noted that the so-called "tolerant Left" who begrudge censorship practiced some censoring of opinions they didn't like.

Early in the event, an older man climbed out of a motorized wheelchair, stepped to the microphone and managed to shout, "I believe in war," before he was peacefully removed from the stage by organizers. Otherwise, the event was without incident.
I'm sure the "veterans organizations" in attendance were far-Left groups like Veterans for Peace (aka Geezers Sitting on Their Hands) or the remnants of Iraq Veterans (Who Didn't Serve There) Against the War, along with the drug addled socialists of the Marin Appeasement & InJustice Coalition, who are no doubt still mourning the death of Osama bin Laden, whom they saluted with a book club on their website.

But here lies the hypocrisy of these idiot hippies. Did anyone at this rally once state opposition to the intervention in Libya? Did all those who falsely labeled Iraq an "illegal war" say the same about Libya? Why hasn't Lynn Woolsey spoken out as forcefully about Libya as she did about Iraq and Afghanistan (she voted for authorizing force after 9/11, until the Appeasement & InJustice Crowd whipped her back in goosestep to their agenda). Will Lynn Woolsey demand Obama get authorization for Obama's kinetic action in Libya or will she be silent, as it is a case of Bush's Wars B-a-a-a-a-a-a-d, Obama's Wars g-o-o-o-o-o-d?

Oh well, it's just one more excuse for a bunch of gray-haired ponytail types in their Birkenstocks to act like they're still 20 again, man.  Showing that hippies never grew up.  They're the people who 40 years later just talk about what they did in high school or college, because they've done nothing else.

BREAKING: Bomb Threat On Plane At DC's Reagan National Airport (UPDATE: All Clear Given)

From Baltimore Jewish Life, via
BREAKING: Officials are on scene of an aircraft that landed at Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC after a bomb threat was made against the aircraft. Details are still sketchy, however, sources tell that a K-9 unit has detected a suspicious bag on board the aircraft. The aircraft and area around it has been evacuated.

NBC Washington has more details.
Authorities said they have diverted a commuter flight at Reagan National airport because of a bomb threat.

The FBI said a man made the threat in person at a ticket counter in Dayton, Ohio.

Takeoffs and departures at Reagan National halted for 20 minutes on Sunday afternoon while authorities investigated "suspicious activity" on U.S. Airways flight 2596, which had come in from Dayton, Ohio at 1 p.m.

The FBI said that the plane was close to the airport at the time the threat was made, which is why they allowed it to land.

The airline said the aircraft is a CR200, carrying 44 passengers and 3 crew members.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority said that the plane was taken off of the main runway to a section of the airport where security personnel continue to investigate. Passengers have been allowed to deplane but are being held during the investigation.

A ring of security vehicles have the plane surrounded on the tarmac, sweeping for explosive devices. The FBI, TSA, and other law enforcement agencies are working together in the operation.

Authorities took the man who made the threat into custody and were questioning him on Sunday afternoon.

The FAA is advising passengers that incoming traffic is being delayed, which in turn is affecting outgoing flights. Customers flying should check with their carriers.

More updates as they come.

UPDATE: From Breaking News on Twitter, the "all clear" was just given.

Happy Father's Day

To all the Dads out there, and to my Dad as well.  Thanks!

Legal Insurrection's New Home on the Web

Why Leon Panetta Should Not Become Defense Secretary....

There's a lot of red flags about Leon Panetta's proposed move by the Obama Regime from the CIA to the Defense Department.

Donald Douglas links to a piece by Aaron Klein, which states:

CIA Director Leon Panetta, President Obama's nominee to serve as secretary of defense, keynoted the conference of a pro-Soviet, anti-war group during the height of the Cold War.

Panetta also honored the founding member of the group, the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, or WILPF, which was once named by the State Department as a "Soviet front."

On April 11, 1984, Panetta, then a California congressman, entered into the congressional record a tribute in honor of WILPF's founding member, Lucy Haessler.

In the record, Panetta praised Haessler as "one of the most dedicated peace activists I have ever known."

Panetta recognized that Haessler traveled to the Soviet Union as a member of the WILPF:

"She has also participated in peace conferences conducted by WILPF and the Woman's International Democracy Foundation in France, the Soviet Union, Poland and East Germany," read Panetta's congressional praise.

Panetta hailed Haessler for her activism against the pending deployment of U.S. missiles to counter the Soviet build up:

"She joined thousands of dedicated peace activists where she expressed her concern about the impending deployment of Cruise missiles and Pershing II missiles in Europe," he noted.
Trevor Loudoun at New Zeal also has found more about Panetta:

It is less well known that while a California Congressman, Obama’s Secretary of Defense nominee Leon Panetta also worked closely with Santa Cruz based members of the US’s largest Marxist organization.

A key point of contact was Hugh DeLacy, Panetta’s friend and correspondent from at least 1976, until his death in 1986. DeLacy was a long time Communist Party USA member who worked closely with members of the California Communist Party splinter group, who then went on to form the pro-Chinese New American Movement, which in turn joined with the Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee in 1982 to form Democratic Socialists of America.

Santa Cruz New American Movement, and later Democratic Socialists of America, effectively took over the Santa Cruz City Council after NAMers Mike Rotkin and Bruce Van Allen joined with DSOCers Mardi Wormhoudt and John Laird to form a majority on the Council in 1981.

Another local DSAer, former Trotskyite Gordon Haskell, served on the Santa Cruz Democratic Party Central Committee for many years, while several other comrades held senior posts in the local party.

Panetta also addressed DeLacy's 1986 memorial service in Santa Cruz.

So why should someone who has sided with the ideological enemies of America, and affiliated themselves with domestic groups hostile to the US military, now become Secretary of Defense?
