On March 20th, in Washington DC, the Congressional Black Caucus walked through a crowd of Tea Party protesters and claimed they had racial slurs yelled at them, even though video evidence (including two videos shot by this blog) proved there were no racial slurs yelled that day.
Based on this lie spread by Democrats and the lapdog media, the NAACCP passed a resolution at their national convention accusing the Tea Party of being racist.
Fast forward to last weekend, in Palm Springs, CA, when the supposedly evil Koch Brothers were being protested by the "progressive" Left, including Code Pinko, Common Cause, Greenpeace, and Progressive Democrats of America (allied with Lynn Woolsey). Among other comments, these leftist were documented saying black Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas should be impeached and "sent back to the fields" as well as "strung up" (along with his wife), "tortured," and "have his toes cut off and...fed to him."
One week later, the sound of crickets are chirping at the NAACCP offices (Daily Caller).
The NAACP won’t directly address the racism displayed by progressive protesters outside a summit hosted by billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch at the end of January in Palm Springs, Calif., but the organization did call for an end to all “vitriolic language.”Hilary Shelton is LYING! The resolution passed in July specifically singled out the Tea Party for alleged racism: (Fox News).
In response to The Daily Caller’s request for comment on a video showing progressive protesters calling for somebody to “string up” African American Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, or “send him back into the fields” or “cut off all his toes and feed them to him one-by-one,” NAACP spokesman Hilary Shelton pointed to the organization’s recent resolution calling for a “civil political discourse.”
“Last summer, the NAACP passed a resolution calling for a civil political discourse,” Shelton said in an e-mail to TheDC. “We continue to call on all Americans to abandon vitriolic language. It serves as a distraction from the real issues our society need to address and distorts the challenges we as Americans have to confront to make our nation greater still.”
Shelton would not, however, address the content of the video directly.
Debate was mostly closed to the public, but the final version "calls on the tea party and all people of good will to repudiate the racist element and activities within the tea party," said Hilary Shelton, director of the NAACP's Washington bureau. The NAACP went further in October, releasing a report that attempted to link the Tea Party with white supremacists, the same month the alleged civil right organization linked arms with communist, socialist, union groups (with some anti-Semites thrown in) to put on the flop known as the One Nation Rally in Washington DC.
NAACP chapters have also recently supported the phony rape victim in the Duke Lacrosse case, and the dog killer Michael Vick. One chapter dismissed a racist attack on Kenneth Gladney by SEIU thugs at a Tea Party and another chapter recently "boxed" a statue of George Washington for a MLK Day ceremony.
Can it finally be said that the NAACP no longer is a civil rights organization, and only speaks on behalf of liberal blacks only?
