The horrors and violence that occurred yesterday in Tucson, AZ. The attempted assassination of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, the killing of six, including a nine year old child and a Federal Judge, the wounding of others.
As with other horrific events, yesterday's tragedy brought out the best in people, such as the hero who risked his life to tackle the alleged gunman, Jared Loughner; as well as those who are tending to the wounded, and aiding the families of those killed.
Yesterday's tragedy has brought out the worst in many of our fellow citizens. As disgusted as I am with the horrors witnessed yesterday, I'm even more disgusted seeing those who are using this tragedy for political advantage.
If you remember, just days after September 11, 2001, the Revs. Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson used the attack on America by Islamofascist terrorists to blame abortionists, homosexuals, feminists and the ACLU for the attack. While there is much to disagree with those groups about, they had absolutely nothing, zero, nada, to do with 9/11. Both televangelists received condemnation from all walks of life for their irresponsible comments, and both responsibly apologised for making them.
It wasn't moments after Rep. Giffords and the other victims were gunned down that many in the Democrat Party, left-wing activists and bloggers, as well as their allies in the lapdog media, swooped down like buzzards out of the sky, to prey on this tragedy for their own political advantage.
I will name names of some of these haters:
Keith Olbermann, Markos "Screw Them" Moulitsas , Charles "Icarus" Johnson, "Hanoi" Jane Fonda, Sherrif Clarence Dupnik, Democrat Rep. Raul Girjalva, Democrat State Rep. Linda Lopez, New York Slimes writer Paul Krugman, the Associated with Obama Press, just to name a few. All of them are blaming Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, the Tea Party, talk radio, etc, etc.
It gets worse. One cowardly Democrat who won't let the world know his name, says that President Obama and his regime "need to deftly pin this on the tea partiers ...Just like the Clinton White House deftly pinned the Oklahoma City bombing on the militia and anti-government people."
Even worse, a Left wing Democrat group 21st Century Democrats, is using this tragedy for fundraising tool.
This is what the Left wants, a tragedy they can exploit for political purposes to attack conservatives and the Tea Party while rescuing Barack Hussein Obama's failed Presidency. Think I'm being extreme? That's what Democrat and former Clinton advisor Mark Penn claimed last November, that Obama needed something similar to Oklahoma City to reconnect with the American people.
Wishing for the deaths of innocent people just for partisan political gain? I mean, that's just sick!
For all the talk and blame on "heated political rhetoric," what is shamelessly left out of this discussion is how the media is not mentioning the background of the alleged shooter. A pothead, fan of political punk rock who left rambling messages that made no sense. There are no links to Sarah Palin, the Tea Party or conservatives. By all accounts, the shooting occurred because Loughner was deeply disturbed, a nut. Not because of "heated political rhetoric," not because of Sarah Palin's "target map," not because of the Tea Party. No evidence. Zip, zero, nada. Unless you're a liberal Democrat or left-wing blogger with an agenda.
For all the talk about "heated rhetoric," there's never any discussion in the media about the violence toward President George W. Bush during the eight years he was President. The assassination movies, books, the signs calling for his death at leftist "peace" rallies. For all his hype as a unifier, Barack Hussein Obama has used terms like "hostage takers" to describe Republicans, and told supporters to "get in their (opponent's) faces," as well as "if they bring a knife, we bring a gun." He's even laughed at hearing a left-wing comedian wish death upon Rush Limbaugh, and been linked with left-wing hate jocks who have called for deaths of conservatives.
"kos" can blame conservatives for the Tuscon shooting, just as he refers to the movement as "American Taliban." But when four American contractors were killed in Iraq hung from a bridge and burned, he felt "nothing over the death of mercenaries....Screw them!"
Hanoi Jane Fonda is a hypocrite. She'll rush to attack Palin, Beck and the Tea Party for yesterday's tragedy, but excuse the attacks of 9/11 by saying we have to "underlying reason" for what happened, as well as allign with Americas enemies and violent radicals of the 1960s.
Keith Olbermann can blame conservatives as well. However, self-righteous and non-violent Keith went on the air in 2008 and basically implied Hillary Clinton should be taken into a room by a male superdelagate and "only he comes out."
To these Democrats and liberals, I say a loud, "Shame on you!" In blaming Sarah Palin, the Tea Party and others for yesterday's tragedy, you all have become like Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson commenting on 9/11, multiplied by a thousand. Can we just focus on the victims of yesterday's shooting without your constant divisiveness and seeking to use tragedy for political advantage?
