Judy Thomas at the Kansas City Star writes:
Late this afternoon the NAACP passed a resolution calling on all people — including tea party leaders — to condemn racism within the tea party movement.
Passed on the fourth day of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People’s annual convention in Kansas City, the resolution also urged people to oppose what it said was the tea party’s drive “to push our country back to the pre-civil rights era.”
“We feel it’s very important that we educate our membership about the tea parties,” said Anita Russell, head of the Kansas City branch of the NAACP, as the debate on the resolution began. “We are concerned that there is a racist element within the tea parties.”
Delegates said they wanted to make it clear, however, that the resolution wasn’t indicting the entire tea party movement as racist.
Gee, that's very big of them. But as I've said earlier, this resolution was based on an accusation by the Congressional Black Caucus, that the Tea Party yelled the word "nigger" at them?
There was one problem: it was a lie! It didn't happen.
The NAACP repeated that lie in a threatening Twitter post.
Finally, why did the NAACP not condemn the racism and voter intimidation from the New Black Panthers?
I'm normally not one for lawsuits, but perhaps there should be a class action lawsuit for slander filed against McClatchy Newspapers (who owns the Kansas City Times), the CBC and the NAACP, especially since McClatchy and other media outlets are only repeated this debunked lie of Tea Party racism in a way that would make Goebbels ("If you repeat a lie, it becomes the truth") proud.
Weasel Zippers has the following Breitbart TV video of NAACP President Ben Jealous using SPLC lies to claim the Tea Party is a "direct descendant" of a White Supremacist group.
But since Byrd was a Democrat, his past as a cross burning night rider and opponent of civil rights was all forgiven.
More proof of how the NAACP has become an arm of the Democrat Party, and should lose their tax exempt status.
