The Cannonization Of Robert "Sheets" Byrd--Clinton: He Joined The Klan To "Get Elected," But Who Cares! We (Democrats) Aren't Perfect

Honestly, I hate to talk ill of the dead. I really do. But the canonization today and this past week of Robert "Sheets" Byrd (D-KKK) is enough to make me throw up!

This is some of what was said at his funeral today.

Barack Hussein Obama:
"Giving you hope, he said, was his greatest achievement...Hope through roads and research centers, schools...(all named after Byrd) Like the Constitution, Robert Byrd possessed that quintessential American quality - and that is the capacity to change, the capacity to learn, the capacity to listen."
And when you can't change the Constitution, you shred it, as Marxists like Obama do.

...(Vice President) Biden pointed out the pin he normally wears - of the flag of the United States. And he referenced the several times that Byrd would come up to Biden on the floor of the Senate, remove Biden's flag pin and replace it with a pin of the Constitution.

"So boss, I'm wearing the pin," Biden said, as he looked up to the sky.

"...He taught me to carry in my pocket the Constitution," (Dingy Harry) Reid said. "He always kept that charter so close to his heart because he loved this country."

When the founders imagined what the leaders who would represent the people would be, Reid said he thought "they had the senior senator from West Virginia in mind."

The same Constitution the Regime and Byrd's Party is shredding today. And believe me, Trent Lott deserves an engraved apology after how Dingy Harry remembered Byrd.

Then, there was Bill "Slick Willie" Clinton.

Clinton praised Byrd for his love of his state - and his belief there was never enough he could do for West Virginia. The former president noted Byrd's early history and the discussion of his involvement with the Klu Klux Klan (sic). Clinton said he may have made a mistake back then, but it was one he worked to make up for his entire life.

"That's what a good person does," Clinton said. "There are no perfect people, there are certainly no perfect politicians."

Just ask Bill Clinton, whose mentors also included segregationists like Arkansas Governor Orval Faubus and Senator William Fulbright. And the lame excuse by Slick Willie that Byrd joined to get elected? No! He was inspired to run for office after one of the hooded inbreds told Byrd he had a "talent for leadership" and the "country needed men" like him in office.

What all these Democrats also didn't tell you is that Byrd's involvement with the Klan was more than just a brief fling. At a time when many of our grandfathers joined the military to fight World War II, Byrd joined the Klan, which has been referred to by many as "the terrorist wing of the Democrat Party."

Byrd was not just a member of the KKK, he was a Kleagle (recruiter) and Exalted Cyclops.

In 1945, years after he quit attending cross burnings and riding horseback donned in white sheets in the night, Byrd wrote a letter to Mississippi's segregationist Senator, Theodore Bilbo, saying:

I shall never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by my side ... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.”
A couple years later, he wrote a KKK Grand Wizard and said: "The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia and in every state in the nation."

Byrd filibustered the 1964 Civil Rights act, on the racist notion that blacks were inferior to whites because their brains weighed less than a white person's. In 1968, he met with the FBI and wanted to give a floor speech condemning Martin Luther King Jr., stating it was time for King to "meet his Waterloo."

As late as 2001, the supposedly reformed Byrd was seen on TV using the term "white niggers" and said "I'm going to use that word."

Byrd also had a history of opposing wars (when Republicans were President) and supporting them when his party was in power. For all his supposed love of the Constitution, he was a rubber stamp for the current Obama Regime, and made excuses to allow reconciliation to be used to pass Obamacare, when he'd opposed it previously.

Yet, this racist, white supremacist is held in such high regard from the very same liberals who regularly slander conservatives as "racists," "bigots," "Nazis," and "Ku Klux Klan" members. For all his supposed love of the US Constitution, "Sheets" Byrd proved, just like a typical Democrat, he put party ahead of country.

Damn it must be good to be a Democrat! Join a White Supremacist group, promote Segregation as Byrd did; kill a woman and get away with it (like the Prince of Chappaquiddick, Ted Kennedy) or allegedly rape a woman (Bill Clinton)--NO WORRIES! You're not perfect. You're not held to the same standards as Trent Lott, Strom Thurmond and the rest of the Republican Party.

There's news also that recordings of Byrd's fiddling are going to be re released. Wonder if they might look like this?

At Right Scoop, there's a video of Rush Limbaugh clearing up the whitewash of Byrd by Clinton, as did Glenn Beck.
