Poll: Keith Fimian Beating "Jihad" Gerry Connolly In Dist. 11 House Race

Keith Fimian, the Republican candidate for Virginia's District 11 House Seat in Congress who was defeated by "Jihad" Gerry Connolly in 2008, now leads Connolly 40 to 35 percent, in a new poll taken by McLaughlin & Associates.
“Keith Fimian is in an outstanding position to win the race for U.S. Congress in Virginia’s 11th District. Voters are extremely disenchanted with the current state of affairs in Washington and are significantly more favorable toward a Republican candidate,” Jim McLaughlin, Fimian’s pollster said. “Congressman Gerry Connolly’s favorable rating and vote share are both well below the 50% thresholds for strong incumbents. The fact that Keith Fimian is already beating Gerry Connolly shows how vulnerable Connolly is to Fimian’s challenge.”

“I am excited that this poll shows that I am the best candidate to win this seat.” Fimian said. “This is because of my energetic grassroots support, strong fundraising results, my message of fiscal responsibility and the concrete proposals I am offering to create a vibrant environment for job creation. Voters also welcome my commitment to eliminating the culture of wasteful spending and corruption that career politicians have created in Washington.”

Keith Fimian has outraised Gerry Connolly for two consecutive quarters and has more than $470,000 on-hand as of December 31. The National Republican Congressional Committee has named Fimian a ‘Contender’ in its Young Guns program.

My friend...if you were marooned in Marin county, when you were exiled to Fairfax County you woke up on another planet. How's it feel to be an alien? At least Marin County had nice weather...
