Obama To Award Presidential Medal of Freedom To S.F. Politico Who Supported A Mass Murderer

The White House announced today the names of 16 people chosen by the Administration of Hope-n-Change to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor.

Among those to be honored at an August 12 ceremony are Billie Jean King, Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Chappaquiddick), Jack Kemp, far-left Bishop Desmond Tutu...and former San Francisco Supervisor Harvey Milk (KTVU-Channel 2).

"These outstanding men and women represent an incredible diversity of backgrounds," Obama said in a statement.

"Their tremendous accomplishments span fields from science to sports, from fine arts to foreign affairs," he said. "Yet they share one overarching trait: Each has been an agent of change. Each saw an imperfect world and set about improving it, often overcoming great obstacles along the way."

U.S. Rep. Jackie Speier, D-San Mateo, praised Obama for selecting Milk, a pioneer, she said, who "dedicated and sacrificed his life so that others might live in a world free of discrimination."

"My hope now is that, along with honoring the man, we also honor his work by making the United States of America a land of true equality and freedom," Speier said. "Harvey Milk will receive his real and rightful honor when our nation sheds the last vestiges of our intolerant past."

It is somewhat ironic that Rep. Speier took the time to give a glowing endorsement of Milk, whose only memorable legislation in San Francisco was the city's dog poop act. Because if Milk, as well as the liberal San Francisco political establishment and media, would have had the courage to stand up to and expose a monster they had created, not only might her former boss be alive, but so would nearly 900 Bay Area residents, most of whom were black.

Speier was formerly a legislative aide to Rep. Leo J. Ryan back in 1978. Ryan was killed along with a SF Examiner photographer, an NBC cameraman and some defectors of the formerly San Francisco based People's Temple, who began a commune in the jungle in Guyana, South America. Speier was also wounded by the Temple assassins. Later, the Temple's leader, the "Rev." Jim Jones, ordered his followers to drink cyanide laced "FlavorAid" while those who refused were injected with the poison or were shot. Over 200 children were among the victims of this madman, being given the deadly formula by syringes shot in their mouths. It was the largest mass murder of Americans, up until September 11, 2001.

So what does Harvey Milk have to do with Jim Jones? He owed his political career as the first openly gay office holder in America directly to the community organizer "Rev." Jones and his followers. Here is a handwritten note to Jones from Harvey Milk, in which he says:

"Hearing your voice on Sunday gave me a warm feeling...my name is cut into stone in support of you & your people."

"A Man Of The Highest Character" (Milk re: Jones)

After a 1977 expose of the Temple in New West Magazine (the first expose in 1972 by the San Francisco Examiner was censored after Jones & Temple lawyers threatened the editors with lawsuits), Jones and his commune fled San Francisco for the jungle of Guyana. A few months later, in February 1978, Milk wrote the following letter on City of San Francisco letterhead to then President Jimmy Carter, in defense of the future mass murderer Jones. It was due to a paternity suit against Jones by two former Temple members, Tim & Grace Stoen, over their son John Victor. Milk called the Stoens "bold faced liars" and accused Grace Stoen, in particular, of trying to blackmail radical American Indian leader Dennis Banks. Milk also wrote to Carter.
Rev. Jones is widely known in the minority communities here and elsewhere as a man of the highest character, who has undertaken constructive remedies for social problems which have been amazing in their scope and effectiveness. ...Not only is the life of a child at stake, who currently has loving and protective parents in the Rev. and Mrs. Jones, but our official relations with Guyana could stand to be jeopardized, to the potentially great embarrassment of our State Department.”

Never mind that seven months later, the same Jim Jones who supposedly championed the well being of minorities murdered so many of them at his jungle plantation.

Some of you liberals (and Obama Kool-Aid drinkers) reading this will no doubt give the excuse, "but, Harvey Milk wasn't the only one. So many others were drawn in by Jones and didn't know, until it was too late."
Wrong! Harvey Milk, as illustrated in the book The Mayor of Castro Street, gay journalist Randy Shilts quotes Milk on Page 139 as saying about the Temple:
"Make sure you're always nice to the Peoples Temple," he admonished her (note: a volunteer). "If they ask you to do something, do it, and then send them a note thanking them for asking you to do it. They're weird and they're dangerous, and you never want to be on their bad side."
Shilts also writes Milk telling a volunteer (page 178): "They're weird, but they're good volunteers," Harvey told her. "You take help where it comes from, but don't trust them."
Even after the August 1977 magazine expose on the Temple which told of beatings and other forms of torture on Temple members, Milk still wrote the above mentioned letter to Carter six months later, knowing full well the allegations against Jones and that he was dangerous. He wasn't alone, Mayor George Moscone refused to investigate (he owed his election as Mayor to Jones and named the "Rev" as Housing Commissioner of San Francisco) while other S.F. liberals like Willie Brown, the Burton brothers, and that utter disgrace to the cloth Cecil Williams still stood by Jones.
However, these facts of Milk's association with the murderer Jim Jones are obscured by revisionists due to Milk being martyred (along with Mayor Moscone) by former SF Supervisor Dan White only days after the Temple killings. Even the Oscar winning film Milk left out these inconvenient truths. The excuse given to International Hearld Tribune?
"It would take so much time to explain to people who Jim Jones was," said Dan Jinks, who with his business partner Bruce Cohen are among the movie's producers.
Someone who stood by while an ally led others to their deaths is not deserving of a Medal of Freedom, let alone a State Holiday. Instead, Harvey Milk, in addition to Moscone, Willie Brown, et al, deserve to be remembered in a Hall of Shame for their failure to prevent the deaths of many who helped them get to their positions political power.

Urgent Action: Defeat Terror School (Islamic Saudi Academy) Expansion: Vote Planned For 3 P.M. Mon, Aug. 3

From ACT! for America: Northern Virginia/DC Metro blog: URGENT ACTION ALERT by Kelly Cook and Lisa Piraneo:

On August 3rd, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors is expected to vote on a request by the Islamic Saudi Academy (ISA), a school owned, funded and controlled by the government of Saudi Arabia, for a special-exception permit in order to expand their Popes Head Road campus in Fairfax County, Virginia.

We continue to be tremendously concerned about many issues concerning the ISA — including their Islamic Studies curriculum, patterns of anti-American, anti-Semitic, and anti-Christian activity, and the numerous terrorism-related activities, including arrests and convictions, of former ISA students. We will continue to be vigilant with our pursuits regarding these matters at local, state, and federal levels.

During our contact with the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, we have been repeatedly informed that their decision on this particular permit request must legally be based solely on land use matters.

While we contend that the questionable curriculum on the ISA’s “land” should be considered a “land-use” matter, there are a multitude of other land-use concerns which should make defeat of the ISA expansion request extremely easy for the Board of Supervisors. Further, Supervisors have responded more favorably to our Director of Government Relations and others when facts are used to argue our case — and there many relevant facts to choose from…

THE FOLLOWING ACTION IS NEEDED FROM YOU!

Please take a moment to call the members of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors listed at the end of this Alert as often as you can this week and on Monday, August 3rd (the anticipated date of the final vote) and let them know that you are opposed to the Islamic Saudi Academy’s request to expand their Popes Head Road campus.

Let the Supervisors know that, first and foremost:

You will not tolerate the expansion of a school that refuses to share with members of their own community and others, information about their textbooks and their curriculum. This is ESPECIALLY disturbing regarding their Islamic Studies classes, even after there have been multiple incidents of former students who have tried to carry-out terrorist-related activities.

Let them know that, in addition to this serious matter, there have been more than enough land-use concerns vocalized by neighboring homeowners to result in the defeat of the requested expansion.Land use concerns including critical issues such as:

Expansion of the campus will place too much of a demand on the already fragile Potomac Watershed surrounding the school. The storm water runoff that would result from the expansion, and increase in waste from the septic operation will cause an unacceptable burden on an area already encumbered with increasing flooding and stream pollution.

The winding, rural, two-lane Popes Head Road cannot accommodate the immense increase of traffic that will result from the school’s expansion. There will be many more buses and cars going in and out of the facility — using the small, relatively rural Popes Head Road. This will not only cause a traffic nightmare, but will make an already dangerous road (on which there have been many fatal accidents) even more hazardous.

Finally, please mark your calendars for Monday, August 3rd, the day the Board of Supervisors is scheduled to vote on the ISA expansion request. No oral statements will be allowed at hearing (written statements, submitted for the record are allowed), but your presence will be an even better way to clearly “voice” your views. A strong attendance by those opposed to the ISA expansion is critical to this fight!

REMEMBER, YOUR VOICE COUNTS!

IF EACH OF US DOES JUST A LITTLE, TOGETHER WE CAN ACCOMPLISH A LOT!

Obama Hypocrisy From 2004: Accuses Bush Of Pushing Bill Through Congress With No Time To Read Or Debate

Newsbusters linked to the YouTube video below by NakedEmperorNews. It's from a 2004 interview between then newly elected Senator Barack Hussein Obama and Airhead America host Randi ("Like Fredo, somebody ought to take him (Bush) out fishing and phuw!") Rhodes.

This is what "That One" told Rhodes:

OBAMA: ...When you rush these budgets that are a foot high and nobody has any idea what's in them and nobody has read them.

RHODES: 14 pounds it was!

OBAMA: Yeah. And it gets rushed through without any clear deliberation or debate then these kinds of things happen. And I think that this is in some ways what happened to the Patriot Act. I mean you remember that there was no real debate about that. It was so quick after 9/11 that it was introduced
that people felt very intimidated by the administration.

Let's see, in the last six months, we've had a trillion dollar "stimulus" bill, a job killing cap and tax bill, which were all rushed through the Democrat controlled Congress, with little debate and no time given to read the finished legislation. Now we have a proposal for socialized medicine, which Nostrilitus Waxman and Pelosi wanted to bypass the committee to the House floor.

Let's not forget that the hypocrite Obama has, in each case of important legislation, had a "sky is falling" attitude. The mantra from his White House is always this: "the time for talk is over, the time for action is now."

So, which administration is rushing important legislation without debate or the chance to read it?

Sgt. Crowley To Have Beer At The White House With Two Racists; Media Distracts From Obama's "Acting Stupidly" Comment To What Beer Will Be Served

The beerfest at the White House between President Barack ("That's just how white folks will do you") Hussein Obama and Harvard Professor Henry ("Whitey sits in judgement of me") Gates with Sgt. James Crowley will happen this Thursday at 6 p.m., according to this New York Slimes blog.
Will it be Budweiser? Or Pabst Blue Ribbon?

Whatever the beer, a senior White House official said Monday night that the Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. and Sgt. James Crowley of the Cambridge Police Department will be sharing that promised brewski at the White House with President Obama on Thursday at 6 p.m.

...There was a lot of back and forth at the White House on Monday about the promised kiss-and-make-up session — mostly related to what kind of beer that Mr. Obama — who isn’t known for beer-drinking — might serve.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs promised Budweiser, the all-American king of beers, saying that that’s what Mr. Obama drank while at a recent baseball game.

Isn't it interesting that the focus of the Obama lapdog media is on what beer they will drink, and off "That One's" incendiary comments that Sgt. Crowley "acted stupidly" in questioning, then arresting Gates, who was racially profiling the police.

Latest ISA News: Alumni Gets Life In Prison For Plot To Kill Bush, Fairfax Supervisors Vote Monday on ISA Expansion, Students Wear "Keffiyeh" In Photo

The 1999 valedictorian of the Islamic Saudi Academy, which wants to expand their campus in Fairfax, VA, has had his 30-year sentence moved to life in prison for a plot to kill President George W. Bush (AP via Creeping Sharia).

A U.S. man who became an al-Qaida terrorist while attending college in Saudi Arabia and plotted to assassinate then-President George W. Bush was defiant Monday as he was sentenced to life in prison.

An appeals court had overturned the original 30-year sentence for Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, 28, who was born in Houston and grew up in the Washington suburb of Falls Church. He was convicted in 2005 of joining al-Qaida while studying in Saudi Arabia in 2002. Abu Ali met with top al-Qaida leaders in Saudi Arabia and discussed establishing a sleeper cell in the United States.

“I would like to remind you that you too will appear before the divine tribunal with me and everyone else,” he said in a brief statement to U.S. District Judge Gerald Bruce Lee. “That day there will be no lawyers … If you are comfortable with that, you can decree what you will.”

“This was a case manufactured by the Saudi torture regime and expedited to the United States for trial,” he said.
Abu Ali was in the news recently, after his request to read President Barack Hussein Obama's two books was turned down for national security reasons.

The ISA is the school who want to expand their Fairfax Station campus on Popes Head Road, and was the subject of a July 13th public forum with the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. The decision by the board was postponed until next Monday, August 3rd, but public comment is still open.

Atlas Shrugs has the following from Jim Lafferty of the Virginia Anti-Shariah Task Force:

the good and bad news is that we have only one week until the scheduled Fairfax County Board of Supervisors vote on the Islamic Saudi Academy expansion. The current plan calls for the Supervisors to vote on August 3rd. We don’t have a definite time yet but I will keep you posted.

No testimony will be heard at the August 3rd meeting. votes.

So that means…. back to the phones and the e-mails! I have attached the list with the phone numbers and e-mails. Please call them in the days leading up to the vote and encourage all Supervisors to vote “NO”. votes.

Last week, a group of us attended the monthly meeting of the Fairfax County Republican Committee. The contrast between elected officials (and elected official wannabes) and the grassroots people there was pronounced. votes.

Two supervisors attended and a candidate for Congress in the last round of elections was there too. They treated us like lepers. votes.

In stark contrast, grassroots Republicans shook hands with us and told us they were with us. A lot of Glenn Beck fans (most of those at the meeting) said they saw us on Glenn’s show.votes.

The grassroots Republicans cornered the Supervisors and told them to oppose ISA and many expressed their dismay that Republicans would have to give it any thought. votes.

The calls and e-mails to the Supervisors have been a deluge. Particular credit should be given to Pamela Geller of the Atlas Shrugged blog and ACT for America. Calls came in from across America and around the globe. One Supervisor required a German translator after receiving a number of calls from activists in Germany.votes.

But the most effective calls were the thousands received from you and other Virginians here in Fairfax. votes.

How these Supervisors vote on Monday, August 3rd will determine how we vote in some future November. Many of these local races are decided by 1,000 or fewer votes.

So once again “into the breach”, please attend the August 3rd hearing and bring as many people with you as possible. Pray that the Supervisors are given the courage to raise their voices while brave young Americans are risking their lives to stop radical Islam and Shariah.

Start calling - remember, Every assault on America must be fought, for every action, a reaction. Fight the stealth jihad- subverting America without guns or bombs ...............

Finally, while perusing YouTube, I found the following video uploaded in November 2008 of a group of ISA students from the class of 2010. One of the students put the video together wrote that it was a "Video i made of my niggs while i was bored." One of the photos in the video included the following pose:

Close-up photo:

The two students are wearing the keffiyeh headscarf. According to Wikipedia:

the keffiyeh became a symbol of Palestinian nationalism during the Arab Revolt of the 1930s.[2][3] Its prominence increased in the 1960 with the beginning of the Palestinian resistance movement and its adoption by Palestinian politician (sic) Yasser Arafat.[2]

The keffiyeh would later become a trademark symbol of Arafat, who was rarely seen without a distinctively-arranged black-and-white scarf. ...Early on, he had made it his personal trademark to drape the scarf over his right shoulder only, arranging it in the rough shape of a triangle, to resemble the outlines of the territory claimed by Palestine. This way of wearing the keffiyeh became a symbol of Arafat as a person and political leader (sic), and it has not been imitated by other Palestinian leaders (sic).

Another Palestinian figure associated with the keffiyeh is Leila Khaled, a female member of the armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. Several photographs of Khaled circulated in the Western newspapers after the hijacking of TWA Flight 840 and the Dawson’s Field hijackings. These photos often included Khaled wearing a keffiyeh in the style of a Muslim woman’s hijab, wrapped around the head and shoulders.
More on the keffiyeh from Michelle Malkin.

Obama Still Plans On Bringing Detained Al-Queda To US From Gitmo

An e-mail from Move America Forward tells of the following A(O)P story.
The Pentagon's top lawyer said Friday that the Obama administration has not abandoned the possibility of transferring some prisoners from the Guantanamo Bay detention center to a prison in the United States despite strong congressional concerns.

Defense Department general counsel Jeh Charles Johnson told the House Armed Services Committee that some suspected terrorists might be transferred to the U.S. for prosecution and others sent to a facility inside the U.S. for long-term incarceration.

MAF notes that "Jeh Charles Johnson is a longtime New York Lawyer who was one of Obama’s biggest fund-raisers in the NYC area, bundling millions for Obama from would-be Clinton supporters, as described in this expose from the NY Times from February 2007."

In other Gitmo news, Senate Democrats, like Obama, are also on the side of the terrorists, blocking a vote which would prevent the transfer of Gitmo detainees into US prisons, writes Sgt. Tim at 9/11 Families for a Safe and Strong America. In addition, Sgt. Tim tells us that beds at the Supermax Prison are being cleared for al-Queda being detained at Gitmo.

Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK) has a petition here to keep Gitmo open.

"Organizing for America" Obamabots Pimp Socialized Medicine At Reston, VA Storefront

I snapped this photo with my cellphone earlier this afternoon, when I went to the Best Buy/Barnes & Noble in Reston, VA. I saw some people sitting at table with clipboards, so I thought I'd go by and investigate. As I walked by, I was asked if I wanted to sign something about "healthcare reform."

I replied, "You mean socialized medicine?"

"No, no" the lady in the black blouse responded.

Knowing they weren't going to convince me, they smugly told me to "have a nice day" until I told them I knew exactly who they were, being Organizing for America volunteers. I even asked how much George Soro$ was funding them to sit out and "pimp socialized medicine."

In addition to liberal Reston, VA, I'm sure they're popping up in all areas of the country. In Colorado, they're also under the auspice of Progressive Future. Organizing for America is essentially what became of Obama for America, probably using what "That One" learned as a community organizer. It is a front group for the Democrat Party and Obama, as their foot soldiers pushing Dear Leader's socialist agenda.

So, if you should run into people asking you to support "health-care reform," don't be fooled, especially if you see images and writing which appear to be similar to those used by Obama's website. Tell them what you think. If you really want to get bold, maybe check their online schedules in the town near you and peacefully counter-protest them. In Reston, they're planning to be at the Asian Festival next weekend at Lake Newport Square 11452 Baron Cameron Ave.

Message In Window Of Closed Chrysler Dealership In Odem, TX: "Thanks Obama, How Sad"

One of the victims of the dealership closures after the Obama Regime took over Chrysler and General Motors was E.H. Green in Odem, TX, just north of Corpus Christi on Hwy. 77.

The dealership had been around for decades, 73 years to be exact. I remember passing by it as a little kid and young adult, on trips to and from the Rio Grande Valley, Austin and New Braunfels, TX. This story from National Pinko Radio tells more about the closure of the dealer.
Ed Green, the president of the dealership, says his dealership had been profitable.

He says he's unlikely to stay in the car business at this time.

But, he adds, "I learned a long time ago, you never say never to anything. You got to keep you eyes and ears open because you just don't know what might be available."

Green also says he will likely continue to drive a Chrysler.

"You know, I'm not in a position that I just want to go out and spend a bunch of money on another vehicle," he says. "I have dependable transportation so I'll probably drive that and when I get ready to replace it, I honestly can't say what I'll do."

Someone at the dealership knows where the blame lies for the closing of their business, as these photos below, taken by my sister and brother-in-law show.

"Thanks Obama, How Sad."

Bush Using Military Against Homegrown Al-Queda, Palin "Unfavorability"=News; Obama's Sinking Popularity, Libs Using Police On Tea Partiers=Not News

The new mantra of the Obama Lapdog Media (OLM, formerly known as the liberal mainstream media) should be: All The News We Find Fit To Print.

I will focus primarily on those fountains of liberal misinformation, the Washington ComPost, the Associated (with Obama) Press, and the New York Slimes, all three of which are among the leading OLM outlets whom Rush Limbaugh astutely called "stenographers for Rahm Emmanuel."

Today, the New York Slimes & A(o)P sides with al-Queda terrorists again by going after the Bush Administration, with the story: Bush mulled sending troops into Buffalo.

WASHINGTON – The Bush administration in 2002 considered sending U.S. troops into a Buffalo, N.Y., suburb to arrest a group of terror suspects in what would have been a nearly unprecedented use of military power, The New York Times reported.

Vice President Dick Cheney and several other Bush advisers at the time strongly urged that the military be used to apprehend men who were suspected of plotting with al Qaida, who later became known as the Lackawanna Six, the Times reported on its Web site Friday night. It cited former administration officials who spoke on condition of anonymity.

The proposal advanced to at least one-high level administration meeting, before President George W. Bush decided against it.

Dispatching troops into the streets is virtually unheard of. The Constitution and various laws restrict the military from being used to conduct domestic raids and seize property.

Never mind to the history challenged Obama propagandists at the Slimes and A(O)P that Abraham Lincoln, seen as one of the greatest Presidents in US History, did the following (Heritage Foundation):

Lincoln, without congressional approval, called forth the militia to "suppress said combinations,"6 which he ordered "to disperse and retire peacefully" to their homes.7 He increased the size of the Army and Navy, expended funds for the purchase of weapons, instituted a blockade--an act of war--and suspended the precious writ of habeas corpus, all without congressional approval.

These actions rightfully initiated by Lincoln were due to domestic agitators like John Merryman, who could be seen as the Medea Benjamin of Civil War time, and Democrat Congressman Clement Laird Vallandigham.

The OLM see Sarah Palin as a threat to "That One," and are abusing their power and influence to harm her chances to run for President in 2012. Namely, the Washington ComPost, which has been nothing but an activist, Democrat newspaper since the days of Executive Editor "Gentle Ben" Bradley. The ComPost teamed up with ABC, the Obama Healthcare Propaganda Network, to release a poll stating Palin's popularity is declining. The ComPost feel they can influence elections to help Democrats. Look at how many times "macaca" was used against George Allen, while ethnic and racial slurs by Jim Webb were ignored. I'm sure they'll go all out in promoting the drugstore cowboy Criegh Deeds in the Virginia Governor's race this year, regardless of the fact that Deeds offers more of the failed liberalism of Barack Hussein Obama and the current, part-time VA governor Tim Kaine.

All this (including cheer leading for Obamacare and the racist Sonia Sotomayor) is what the OLM considers news.

While they run polls saying Sarah Palin is less popular, the ComPost and others ignore the fact their Dear Leader's poll numbers are sinking faster than the Titanic. That goes along with a majority who are opposed to Obamacare, Cap & Tax and see the economy as Obama's failure. Related to Palin, the President's lapdog media run stories about her "facing questions as she exits national stage," while they ignore this coordinated attempt to destroy Palin politically being done by Democrats and Obama linked workers (including the shutting down of one YouTube account). It's probably because they're (lapdog media) in on the efforts as well.

While George W. Bush may have explored extra powers in order to fulfill his Constitutional duties to protect the American people, no where in the New York Slimes, A(O)P or the Washington ComPost are there stories about police harassment of Tea Party demonstrators, in some cases (in Missouri and Virginia) liberal Democrats have been accused of using law enforcement officials against Tea Partiers whose only crime was peacefully using their First Amendment rights in opposition to the socialist programs of the liberal Congress and Obama.

With these examples of what makes news, is it any wonder why newspapers are failing, and that most thinking Americans see that journalism died in 2008 and was replaced by this Pravda style, Obama/Democrat propaganda network in 2009?

Attention Nirthers: McCain Lawyers Already Investigated Obama Citizenship Claims

On this blog, I've stayed away from the "birth certificate" claims which many people (including many I respect in the blogosphere) are asking about and or, pursuing.

Why? Some of the people behind the lawsuits are people I would not want to associate with. Like this Democrat lawyer Phillip Berg, who was an anti-Bush 9/11 troofer before moving to the next conspiracy he could find.

Also, just like in the supposed Michelle Obama "whitey" tape, there appeared in my eyes to be no there, there. It was just rumors and theories. If there was something really this damaging, wouldn't it have come out sooner?

My instincts are right, according to CQ Politics.
David Weigel talked with Trevor Potter and other lawyers for Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign who said that they did look into the Obama citizenship rumors and found them without merit.

Said Potter: "To the extent that we could, we looked into the substantive side of these allegations. We never saw any evidence that then-Senator Obama had been born outside of the United States. We saw rumors, but nothing that could be sourced to evidence. There were no statements and no documents that suggested he was born somewhere else. On the other side, there was proof that he was born in Hawaii. There was a certificate issued by the state's Department of Health, and the responsible official in the state saying that he had personally seen the original certificate. There was a birth announcement in the Honolulu Advertiser, which would be very difficult to invent or plant 47 years in advance."
So, why don't we all get together and defeat Obama on the basis of his disastrous policies, not some flimsy theory that he's not a US Citizen?

Democrat Rep. Accused Of Using Law Enforcement To Harrass Obamacare Critics

I received the following from the leader of the Danville, VA Tea Party.
Rep. Tom Perriello, D-Va., may be using the state police and local law enforcement to harass and intimidate citizens who have publicly expressed opposition to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's trillion-dollar health care reform legislation, a local TEA Party leader charged Tuesday in a letter urging state Attorney General Bill Mims to conduct a formal investigation (click on link for copy of letter).

Danville TEA Party chairman Nigel Coleman told Mims that Virginia State Police officers Monday came unannounced to the home of another member of the group to question him about attending a town hall meeting Saturday in Blairs which featured Perriello and two Obama cabinet secretaries.

"All Americans should be concerned when a congressman uses the state police to intimidate citizens and suppress dissent against a government takeover of our health care.," Coleman said. "No American should have to fear that the police will show up at his door because he's dared publicly disagree with some politician's political agenda."

Saturday, Coleman and other TEA Party leaders were refused an opportunity to ask Perriello a question during the event, and then were instructed by a plainclothes police officer to leave the property when they attempted to display signs urging the congressman to follow the Constitution and oppose Pelosi's "socialized medicine scheme."

Coleman said he and the others peacefully complied, but were followed to a restaurant by an officer in an unmarked car, who then exited his vehicle, walked over to the activists' cars, and called in their license plate numbers over the phone.

Coleman said he contacted Perriello's Danville office Monday to request a meeting with the congressman to protest the police intimidation tactics used at the event and to ask why he and other TEA Party activists were told to leave.

Perriello's staff refused the request for a meeting, Coleman said, while assuring him that the office understood that he and other local TEA Party activists pose no threat to the congressman.

How many times did liberals scream about "police tactics" during the Bush Administration? Now their silence is deafening as Democrat Congresscritters who don't like opposition like to sic the police on their opponents for the peaceful petitioning of their representatives. Remember Claire McCaskill's staff did last week when the Tea Party folks showed up at her doorstep to protest Obamacare?

Too many of our representatives have obviously become too arrogant and drunk with power. We'll be following this story for further developments.

Texas Gov. May Fight Obamacare Using Tenth Amendment

This nation needs more governors like Texas Gov. Rick Perry (Ft. Worth Star-Telegram).
AUSTIN — Gov. Rick Perry, raising the specter of a showdown with the Obama administration, suggested Thursday that he would consider invoking states’ rights protections under the 10th Amendment to resist the president’s healthcare plan, which he said would be "disastrous" for Texas.

Interviewed by conservative talk show host Mark Davis of Dallas’ WBAP/820 AM, Perry said his first hope is that Congress will defeat the plan, which both Perry and Davis described as "Obama Care." But should it pass, Perry predicted that Texas and a "number" of states might resist the federal health mandate.

"I think you’ll hear states and governors standing up and saying 'no’ to this type of encroachment on the states with their healthcare," Perry said. "So my hope is that we never have to have that stand-up. But I’m certainly willing and ready for the fight if this administration continues to try to force their very expansive government philosophy down our collective throats."

Perry, the state’s longest-serving governor, has made defiance of Washington a hallmark of his state administration as well as his emerging re-election campaign against U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison in the 2010 Republican primary. Earlier this year, Perry refused $555 million in federal unemployment stimulus money, saying it would subject Texas to long-term costs after the federal dollars ended.

Interviewed after returning from a trip to Iraq and Afghanistan, Perry spoke out against President Barack Obama’s healthcare package less than 24 hours
after the president used a prime-time news conference Wednesday night to try to
sell the massive legislative package to Congress and the public.

"It really is a state issue, and if there was ever an argument for the 10th Amendment and for letting the states find a solution to their problems, this may be at the top of the class," Perry said. "A government-run healthcare system is financially unstable. It’s not the solution."

Obama Acting Stupidly: Stands By Comment About Police

Barack Hussein Obama stood by his ill-informed comment made at Wednesday's presser, when he said the Cambridge Police "acted stupidly" in arresting the race-baiting Harvard professor, Henry Gates (Washington ComPost).

"I have to say I am surprised by the controversy surrounding my statement because I think it was a pretty straightforward commentary that you probably don't need to handcuff a guy, a middle-aged man who uses a cane, who's in his own home," Obama told Moran in an interview set to air Thursday evening on "Nightline," excerpts from which were made available online.

The president called arresting officer Sgt. James Crowley an "outstanding police officer" but emphasized that "it doesn't make sense to arrest a guy in his own home if he's not causing a serious disturbance."
Judging from the police report, Gates was making a a pretty serious disturbance, acting hostile to the police officer and immediately shouting "racism" when all the police were doing was responding to a call that someone saw a break-in at Gates' house.

Here's a personal example of why I don't buy the liberal screaming of "racial profiling." I seem to recall onetime many years ago, my father forced his way into the family house in South Texas after locking himself out. A police officer stopped by and checked as to who he was. My father cooperated and told them this was his house and the circumstances. He didn't tell the police "I'll talk to yo' mama outside."

By the way, my dad is a Caucasian male of Germanic descent.

You'd think Obama would be wise enough to heed the words of one of his supporters, Bill Cosby.
On a Boston radio program this morning, Bill Cosby suggested that President Obama spoke too soon on the controversial arrest of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates.

“I’ve heard about five different reports [on the details of the arrest],” Cosby said on Boston’s WZLX. “If I’m the president of the United States, I don’t care how much pressure people want to put on it about race, I’m keeping my mouth shut.”

“I was shocked to hear the president making this kind of statement.”
By making that statement about the police actions Wednesday and standing by it days later, Obama is making me convinced more and more that he is racist towards whites. There's this compilation video on YouTube...

...as well as his appointment of the racist Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court, and especially his 20 year membership in the Trinity United Church of Hating Whitey.

Obama Continues His Rush To Socialized Medicine

I didn't catch any of the press conference last night, but according to Patterico, it was what I was predicting.

Typical Obama: Filibustering, long-winded and didn't change any minds.

"That One" gave a town hall in Ohio today as well. I wonder how many Organizing for Obama plants are in the audience to use as propaganda to pull at people's hearts, just like what happened in Annandale, VA. I could only stand a few minutes of it, as it was more of what we've come to expect from the President.

From the beginning of his speech in Ohio today, it's obvious the polls are getting to Dear Leader, who began touting how he was elected because of "change," never mind he didn't define what kind of change (though those of us on the right called it for what it was). The spin is now that the so-called stimulus is a "two-year" plan, and that all of those who are unemployed and looking for work are "on his mind." Despite Obama's claims they're "putting the brakes" on the recession, he's full of it. He doesn't explain the increased unemployment rate, which he told Americans would not go any higher than eight percent if the so-called "stimulus" was passed.

And there's the typical liberal demogaugery too, from people like Matt Lauer, a member of the Obama Lapdog Media, going after Jim Demint yesterday for saying that defeat of Obamacare would be his "Waterloo." What do they think the Democrat efforts to shove this legislation--sight unseen--by an artificial deadline of August 1st is? It's politics by Democrats to make Obama look good. It's all about them. Just like national security, they could give a damn less about the American people. As I've said before, Democrats are looking at this as the only chance they might have to shove socialism down the throat of America, in the form of socialized medicine and Crap and Tax. They could care less that the economy is getting worse, not better.

Remember in the run-up and following the beginning of the Iraq War, how liberals claimed George W. Bush "rushed" America into a war they said didn't need to be fought. Think about this, libs: The resolution to authorize force in Iraq was passed in October, and the war started in March. That's a five month run-up. Conversely, in six months, Obama has rushed this nation into a so-called "stimulus" which has made the economy worse, rushed us into a trillion dollar deficit and rushing us down the road to socialized medicine, meaning more money controlled by the government and higher taxes when we can least afford it. And we're all not supposed to question any of this. It's always a sense of urgency--shut up, don't question it, just pass it sight unseen--we need it now.

Sen. Demint and others who are sounding the alarms are right. It's not about politics. This needs to be stopped because it is not in the best interest of the American people. But the liberals can't see that because it's all about politics to them, as well as how much more of their lives they can control.

The Green Energy Fraud

Want to find out mor about the fraud known as "green energy."

Look no further than my hometown of Austin, TX.

For the past decade, Austin's ambition to become the world's clean-energy capital has been best exemplified by one effort: GreenChoice, a program that sells electricity generated entirely from renewable sources such as wind.

Now the nationally renowned program is struggling to find buyers — the latest allotment is 99 percent unsold after seven months on the market — and Austin Energy is looking for ways to bring down the rising costs.

But those are short-term talks.

Austin Energy officials say that times have changed and that the nation's most successful (by volume of sales) green-energy program, which offers the renewable energy only to those who select it, might no longer be the best way to carry out the city's goals. It now costs almost three times more than the standard electricity rate.

The Most (Mis)Trusted Man In America

Walter Cronkite died on Friday at 92, and the media (including FOX News) have given him glowing eulogies.

What was Cronkite's real legacy? It is one which did not appear in all the remembrances over the weekend.

Joe Farah at WorldNetDaily tells "the way it really was" about Cronkite.
He was like a grandfatherly institution in the early days of TV. People believed him. Uncle Walter wouldn't lie, America believed.

Thus, when he gave his opinions, they had impact. One example was his report on the Tet offensive in Vietnam, which is credited with swinging the tide of opinion
against the war.

He became the host of "You Are There" in which key moments of history were recreated by actors. Cronkite was depicted on camera interviewing "Joan of Arc" or "Sigmund Freud." But somehow, he managed to make it believable. From that entertainment series, he went on to be named host of "The Morning Show" on CBS, where he was paired with a partner: a puppet named Charlemagne. In 1961, CBS named him the anchor of the "CBS Evening News" – a 15-minute news summary anchored for several years by Douglas Edwards, thanks to prodding from a
socialist activist who edited The Nation.

Just a few years later, his commentaries on the Vietnam War were credited with turning the tide of American opinion against that conflict.

"But Walter was always more than just an anchor," said Barack Obama upon his death. "He was someone we could trust to guide us through the most important issues of the day; a voice of certainty in an uncertain world. He was family. He invited us to believe in him, and he never let us down. This country has lost an icon and a dear friend, and he will be truly missed."

After leaving his position with CBS, Cronkite's political activism and offbeat ideas had no restraints.

In 1989, Cronkite spoke to a dinner organized by People for the American Way, a group founded by Norman Lear. His candid politics surprised even that audience.

"I know liberalism isn't dead in this country," he said. "It simply has, temporarily we hope, lost its voice."

"About the Democratic loss in this election ... it was not just a campaign strategy built on a defensive philosophy. It was not just an opposition that conducted one of the most sophisticated and cynical campaigns ever. ... It was the fault of too many who found their voices stilled by subtle ideological intimidation."

"We know that unilateral action in Grenada and Tripoli was wrong. We know that Star Wars means uncontrollable escalation of the arms race. We know that the real threat to democracy is half a nation in poverty. ... We know that religious beliefs cannot define patriotism. ... God Almighty, we've got to shout these truths in which we believe from the housetops. Like that scene in the movie 'Network,' we've got to throw open our windows and shout these truths to the streets and the heavens. And I bet we'll find more windows are thrown open to join the chorus than we'd ever dreamed possible."

In 1999, he appeared at the United Nations to accept the Norman Cousins Global
Governance Award from the World Federalists Association. He told those assembled, including Hillary Rodham Clinton, that the first step toward achieving a one-world government – his personal dream – is to strengthen the United Nations.

"It seems to many of us that if we are to avoid the eventual catastrophic world conflict we must strengthen the United Nations as a first step toward a world government patterned after our own government with a legislature, executive and judiciary, and police to enforce its international laws and keep the peace," he said. "To do that, of course, we Americans will have to yield up some of our sovereignty. That would be a bitter pill. It would take a lot of courage, a lot of faith in the new order."

In his acceptance speech, Cronkite added, "Pat Robertson has written in a book a few years ago that we should have a world government, but only when the Messiah arrives. He wrote, literally, any attempt to achieve world order before that time must be the work of the devil. Well, join me. I'm glad to sit here at the right hand of
Satan
."

Later, in an interview with the BBC, Cronkite described this new order as something that sounded like a militaristic world dictatorship.

"I wouldn't give up on the U.N. yet," he said. "I think we are realizing that we are going to have to have an international rule of law. We need not only an executive to make international law, but we need the military forces to enforce that law and the judicial system to bring the criminals to justice before they have the opportunity to build military forces that use these horrid weapons that rogue nations and movements can get hold of – germs and atomic weapons."

He spoke openly about the need for America to give up its national sovereignty.

"American people are going to begin to realize they are going to have to yield some sovereignty to an international body to enforce world law, and I think that's going to come to other people as well," he said. "It's a fair distance to get there, but we are not ever going to get there unless we keep trying to push ourselves onto the road."

Cronkite also opined on Larry King Lives that George W. Bush and Karl Rove must have conspired to get Osama bin Laden to release his video message before the 2004 Presidential election.

In short, Walter Cronkite was an internationalist, a liberal and an America hater. He used his influence as a broadcaster to shape public opinion.

Perhaps his epitaph should read, "Father of the American Liberal Media."

40 Years Ago: What Liberals Want You To Forget About Ted Kennedy

This post is not intended to be mean-spirited towards Sen. Ted Kennedy, especially in light of his fight with brain cancer (and I pray for his good health). However, I feel compelled to write this because, as the surviving member of the Kennedy brothers, there are attempts to whitewash or cover up certain unpleasant things about his past and act like they didn't happen.

NewsBusters notes that Democrat party lapdog Lawrence O'Donnell promoted an HBO special on Kennedy on MSNBC's "Hairball," while not noting an important date which changed Kennedy's future and ended any serious dreams of the Presidency.

It happened July 18, 1969, forty years ago (Examiner.com).
Sometime around midnight, on July 18, 1969 Kennedy drove his Oldsmobile 88 off of a small bridge on Chappaquiddick island, into eight feet of chilly water. The vehicle landed upside-down. While Kennedy managed to free himself from the wreck and swim to safety, his passenger, 28-year-old Mary Jo Kopechne was left in the car to drown.

Once he reached shore, Kennedy claims to have made seven or eight attempts to rescue Kopechne, but could not free her.

Kennedy then walked back to the cottage where he and four other men, were partying with several young women known as the “Boiler Room Girls“ who had worked on Robert Kennedy‘s campaign. Though Kennedy passed by a fire station and a private home to return to the cottage, he never stopped to ask for help for the trapped Kopechne.

He returned to the party and according to Kennedy himself, informed his cousin and a friend of the situation. The two men, Joseph Gargan and Paul Markham claim to have returned to the scene of the accident and made several unsuccessful attempts to free Kopechne.

Then Kennedy’s story takes an even stranger turn.

After the failed rescue attempts, Kennedy claims to have jumped back into the water and made the 500-foot swim across the channel back to Edgartown. He then walked back to his hotel and spent the night. He even took the time to change clothes and pay a visit to the front-desk, to complain about a noisy party--no doubt Kennedy's sloppy attempt at securing an alibi.

The next morning, Gargan and Markham around 8:00 a.m., and were supposedly shocked to discover that Kennedy never reported the accident to police. According to Kennedy‘s own testimony, he told them: "about my own thoughts and feelings as I swam across that channel ... that somehow when they arrived in the morning that they were going to say that Mary Jo was still alive"

The two men along with Kennedy went back to Chappaquiddick, where Kennedy spent some time making phone calls, seeking advice from various individuals as to how to proceed.

Meanwhile, two fisherman had discovered the submerged car and notified police. At 8:45a.m. a diver recovered the lifeless body of Mary Jo Kopechne.

It was not until 10a.m., over nine hours after driving-off of the bridge that Ted Kennedy went to the police station in Edgarton to report the accident.

Had Kennedy sought help after the accident, it is possible Mary Jo could have survived.
The diver who recovered Kopechne’s body, John Farrar testified at the official inquest that her body was found where the air pocket would have formed. He said: “Had I received a call within five to ten minutes of the accident occurring, and was able, as I was the following morning, to be at the victim's side within twenty-five minutes of receiving the call, in such event there is a strong possibility that she would have been alive on removal from the submerged car.”

A week after the incident, Kennedy pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and received a suspended two-month sentence. Kennedy then went on national television to repeat his rather implausible story, and to ask for the public’s “prayers.”

Why is this story still important? It is an illustration of how power, prestige, and an influential name could rescue someone from a crime for which any other person, had they not been a Kennedy, would have surely ended up in jail.

Similarly, it speaks volumes of Kennedy's self-serving arrogance, as well how he, nor the Democrat Party, never considered having him resign his Senate seat or vote him out.

What has Kennedy done for this nation in the last forty years? He cozied up with Communists in giving aid and comfort to the anti-Vietnam war movement and tried to help the KGB in undermining Ronald Reagan before the 1984 election. Kennedy sat in judgement of Sen. John Tower, and aided in derailing his nomination as George H.W. Bush's defense secretary under allegations he was an alcoholic and a womanizer. A couple of years later, Kennedy sat in judgement over Clarence Thomas and the allegations by Anita Hill of sexual harassment. Never mind that Kennedy was also known for making waitress sandwiches with corrupt Sen. Chris Dodd.

More recently, Kennedy was one of the most treasonous voices on Capitol Hill against the Iraq War and George W. Bush, accusing Bush of telling "lie after lie" and "concocting the war in Texas for political gain," also slandering our military as "torturers" reopening Saddam's Hussein's prisons "under new management." The photo below was taken last year, during the Petraeus hearings, as Kennedy walked by veterans who asked him to "support the troops."

Like Mary Jo, he just walked away.

Now, forty years later, Kennedy wants to drive this nation off an economic bridge, with his "socialized medicine" bill, never mind the damage it will do to our economy, and to quality health care.

But, thanks to liberal propagandists like O'Donnell and others, Kennedy will be allowed to "walk away," heralded only as the great "liberal lion."

Can't Pass Up Video Of Barbara Boxer Getting Smacked Down

This video was too good to not post.

Harry Alford of the Black Chamber of Commerce, called Barbara "Call Me Senator, Don't You Know Who I Am?" Boxer "condescending" and accused her of being "racial."

Why? Babsy used statements by the NAACP and another black endorser of the phony liberal "green jobs" farce in an attempt to threaten Mr. Alford back on her liberal plantation.

Way to go, Mr. Alford!

Biden Tells AARP "We Need To Spend More To Keep From Going Bankrupt"

Joe "Plugs" Biden, the dumbest Vice President in history, made this statement today to the AARP (CNSNews).

“And folks look, AARP knows and the people with me here today know, the president knows, and I know, that the status quo is simply not acceptable,” Biden said at the event on Thursday in Alexandria, Va. “It’s totally unacceptable. And it’s completely unsustainable. Even if we wanted to keep it the way we have it now. It can’t do it financially.”

“We’re going to go bankrupt as a nation,” Biden said.

Now, people when I say that look at me and say, ‘What are you talking about, Joe? You’re telling me we have to go spend money to keep from going bankrupt?’” Biden said. “The answer is yes, that's what I’m telling you.”
(Listen to Audio)

The event, sponsored by the AARP – which supports the Obama administration’s plan – was attended by mostly AARP members who were bussed in for the meeting.

Translation, "We'll spend your money, after we tax the Hell out of you."

That wasn't the only whopper which that fountain of misinformation named Joe Biden told the liberal group.

Biden told the group that the Obama health plan will not eliminate people’s ability to choose their health care insurance and that people who cannot afford insurance will be covered by the plan.
I wrote earlier how IBD has proven that statement above is false. Obamacare will force private insurance out of business.

I remember a few years before they died, my grandparents (who were members of AARP) told me they were terminating their membership because they didn't want their money going to fund liberal activism. It's unfortunate there are too many seasoned citizens who listen to these liberal demagogues that scare them every election cycle into voting for them, only to take away the things the libs claim Republicans will.

The only thing Obama or the Democrats are planning to spend on our nation's seniors is the bus fare to have them transported in as props for their liberal propaganda. Make no mistake, their healthcare will be the first to be rationed under Obamacare.

If Obamacare Passes, Say Goodbye To Your Private Health Insurance

Investor Business Daily breaks the news that there is no option.
When we first saw the paragraph Tuesday, just after the 1,018-page document was released, we thought we surely must be misreading it. So we sought help from the House Ways and Means Committee.

It turns out we were right: The provision would indeed outlaw individual private coverage. Under the Orwellian header of "Protecting The Choice To Keep Current Coverage," the "Limitation On New Enrollment" section of the bill clearly states:

"Except as provided in this paragraph, the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day" of the year the legislation becomes law.

So we can all keep our coverage, just as promised — with, of course, exceptions: Those who currently have private individual coverage won't be able to change it. Nor will those who leave a company to work for themselves be free to buy individual plans from private carriers.

From the beginning, opponents of the public option plan have warned that if the government gets into the business of offering subsidized health insurance coverage, the private insurance market will wither. Drawn by a public option that will be 30% to 40% cheaper than their current premiums because taxpayers will be funding it, employers will gladly scrap their private plans and go with Washington's coverage.
Read the rest.....and get motivated to stop Obamacare.

The AMA (American Medical Association), which once had grave doubts about Obamacare, now endorses it. Obama met with AMA back in June and you have to wonder, what did he do to shake them down for their support. It doesn't help matters either that the AMA President, Michael Maves, is an Obama campaign donor.

Sotomayor Accused Of Ethics Breach By Prominent Attorney

With everything else going on, I haven't commented on the confirmation hearings of the (politically correct) racist Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor, but I did find this interesting item from Kristinn at FreeRepublic.com

The following letter was confirmed to me by Mr. Greenberg with the following statement:

"The letter was sent to Senators Sessions, Hatch, Grassley, Graham and Coburn. It was also sent to Cong. Peter King (R) NY. The story is being covered extensively by the photo blogs, the trade publications and the NY Times. No politician has responded. The NY Times quotes attributed to me are accurate and therefore I assume that the quotes of my adversary Mr. Fairhurst are accurate as well."

Text of the letter:

I am an attorney in NYC who represented White House Photographer Chris Usher in litigation against Corbis, a privately held company wholly owned by Bill Gates. The case principally concerned lost Presidential and campaign photography during the 2000 Bush v. Gore Campaign and the US Supreme Court case related thereto. We won at the trial level in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York but the award to the victorious plaintiff was absurdly low.

We appealed to the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals where the award was inexplicably upheld. The New York Times reported on this high profile case today, please see:

http://lens.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/07/15/behind-6/

It was revealed therein by opposing counsel hat Judge Sotomayor and Mr. Gates’ counsel have known and (possibly worked with) each other for
decades
. Such relationship was never disclosed to me as plaintiff’s attorney by the Court. No opportunity for us to request that Judge Sotomayor recuse herself was afforded as this information was never disclosed.

The appearance of impropriety is astounding as Judge Sotomayor could have recused herself and we could have had another Appeals Panel within days.

Please contact me so that this apparently unethical judicial behavior is brought to the attention of the judiciary committee immediately.

Edward C. Greenberg, Esq.

Let's just say that, despite her assurances she gave about her "wise Latina" statement said the wrong way, as well as to other questions, this accusation warrants further investigation. She clearly does not have the temperament to sit on the highest bench in the land, and it is clear she will judge with her biases intact.

Democrats Socialized Health Care Nightmare: More Taxes, Higher Unemployment, Less Coverage

It appears from the news of a last couple of days that a bad economy and rising unemployment isn't going to keep the Democrats from shoving socialized medicine down our throats.

Look at this chart (House Min. Leader John Boehner), illustrating the nightmare of socialized medicine in America. It's worse than a trip to the post office during the Christmas season, and you know how much of a nightmare that is.
On top of everything else, Democrats are planning on taxing those "evil rich people" in order to raise money which will hardly pay for the true cost of this risky liberal scheme.

Higher taxes and a health care bureaucracy: what does that mean, especially in this recession?

1. Higher taxes (leading to....)
2. Higher unemployment
3. Less personal freedom
4. Move government control
5. Higher health care costs (leading to....)
6. Rationing (loss of coverage)

From everything I've heard, there will still be millions of Americans who will be uninsured.

Why the rush?

Simple. Democrats feel their power slipping and they may never have this opportunity again to impose their socialist scheme on this nation. The longer they wait, the more the citizenry will catch on. That's happening already.

For any doubters, ask yourself, what has the government taken over or done that has made anything better?

I repeat. Think of a post office during Christmas season. Is that what you want your health-care to be like?

"That One" Booed At All Star Game

I don't watch baseball, but Gateway Pundit has video of President Barack Hussein Obama throwing out the first pitch at the All Star Game in St. Louis tonight.

While there's a fair amount of cheers, you can hear a good rumble of boos as well.

At about 28 seconds into the video, look at the driver of the cart. He looks like he'd rather be someplace else, especially when it comes time to shake, "That One's" hand.

It was also a "sissy pitch," according to GP.

A Last Minute Discovery Prevents Kook Who Promotes Holocaust Denial & 9/11 Trooferism, From Serving On Reston, VA Association

While at the Reston Festival with my family this past Sunday, we heard from friends something that shocked us.

A candidate to the Reston Citizen Association who was running unopposed for a position on the board was a Holocaust Denier.

It was a last minute discovery which saved Reston, VA from having Ken Meyercord, who calls himself a "Holocaust Revisionist" serving the citizens of this Western Fairfax County town, according to the Washington ComPost.
Meyercord, 65, said he and his wife, Samira, 64, have lived in Reston since 1977. In writings and interviews, Meyercord has attempted to challenge historical accounts of the Holocaust, expressing doubt that Nazi Germany embarked on a mission to annihilate European Jews, a plan known as the Final Solution. He has also denied that Nazis used gas chambers to murder Jews, saying such chambers did not exist, and expressed skepticism that the number of Holocaust victims reached 6 million.

(Debra) Steppel, 41, said she heard about Meyercord's provocative local TV show about a month ago in a flier distributed by a religious organization. When a newsletter from the Reston Citizens Association came around about a week ago with a list of candidates for the board, she recognized Meyercord's name and swung into action, lining up 20 or so volunteers to canvass for votes during the weekend festival.

Another ComPost article had this other background information on him, which gives an interesting insight on where he picked up his extremist views.
Meyercord said his views of history changed after living in the Middle East. After attending Dartmouth, he obtained a master's degree at American University in Beirut, where he also met his wife, who is Palestinian, and became more sympathetic the Arab view of the conflict with Israel.

Opposition to him was successful, Meyercord only received 23 votes. The write in candidate, Colin Mills, received 1,157 votes, according to the ComPost article.

Screw Loose Change has more on Meyercord's public access TV show, which he promoted on a DC Anti-War group on yahoo. Among other programs, Meyercord showed some programs promoting 9/11 Trooferism.
2/18 9/11 Revisited – a physics professor’s skeptical look at the official story
2/25 Venezuela Rising – the referendum to recall President Hugo Chavez

Hmmm, 9-11 Revisited, a physics professor... that wouldn't happen to be Professor Steven Earl Jones, would it? Yep.

Meyercord has broadcast David Ray Grifter:

David Ray Griffin on 9/11 (USA, 2006) – a theologian suffers doubts on the 9/11 story dogma 5/08 - 3:30 PM; 10/07 - 6 PM; 10/12 - noon; 10/15 - 10 PM; 10/19 - 1 PM; 10/26 - 4 PM

SLC also found a Ken Meyercord who also lived in Pleasant Hill, CA; while he claims to have lived in Reston since 1977. Coincidence? Maybe, but the same Ken Meyercord in both the DC Area & the Bay Area promoted a book and theory about something called "Zero Growth."

I also found this interesting tidbit about, Ken Meyercord, when he was living in the Bay Area (Common Dreams).
Holding a vigil can be lonely outside the friendly confines of the San Francisco-Oakland-Berkeley axis of peace. Ask Ken Meyercord, a Pleasant Hill man who organized Sunday peace walks last year in Walnut Creek. They ended after three months and a peak turnout of 14 walkers.

"But I'm not discouraged, because of all the support I heard from people out there," said Meyercord, a 58-year-old computer systems developer who lives "in a neighborhood where everybody's got a flag outside."

He'll continue to seek ways to express his opposition to a war, like the time last year when he donned a Napoleonic outfit and flew an Earth flag over his boat -- right past Fleet Week spectators on San Francisco's Embarcadero.

"I'm out there because a lot of other people are afraid to express their opinions publicly," Meyercord said. "A lot of Muslims have come up to us and thanked us, because we're saying what they'd like to, but are afraid."

Regardless of where Ken Meyercord is from, at least this anti-Semitic, troofer kook was blocked from serving the citizens of Reston.

Public Hearing On Islamic Saudi Academy To Fairfax Board of Commissioners: Will Board Turn A Blind Eye To The Concerns Of Constituents?

In a public hearing lasting nearly four hours, the topic of the planned expansion of the Islamic Saudi Academy (ISA) was the topic of a public hearing in front of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.

Almost 50 people (opponents and supporters) spoke in tonight's meeting. The Board of Supervisors is deferring a decision on the matter.

Supervisor of the Springfield District Pat Herrity stated he wanted the board's final decision to be based solely only on land use issues. Never mind that the members of the board have ducked their responsibility addressing the concerns of the Academy due to extremism against Jews and Christians brought up. That is in addition to several alumni who have been arrested for or suspected in acts of terrorism. It's enough to make one wonder, what is Supervisor Herrity (who claims to be a conservative) afraid of? Could it be that, since the school is in district, he is fearful of losing re-election due to possible ISA opposition?

Unlike the March 18th public hearing in front of the county planning commission, ISA supporters did not wear their badges of "I Support ISA." Using a tactic done by the Academy in March, the first speaker, James Lafferty of the Virginia Anti-Sharia Task Force asked opponents of the Academy expansion to stand. Most of the room stood up.

There were moments of obvious bias towards the Academy by liberal Board Chairperson Sharon Bullova, in which she chided opponents for applauding, even threatening to recess the meeting. However, Bullova did not offer the same reprimand to ISA supporters, and was called upon it by one citizen.

I also observed that ISA supporters who went over their allotted time were allowed to speak well over their time, while opponents were asked to finish their thought.

Many opponents of the ISA noted the planning commission meeting in March, which many commissioners displayed an open hostility to them.

"I sat in disbelief as concerned neighbors were disregarded (by the planning commission) as they spoke," Darci Walters told the Board this evening.

John Ziu had a petition to the board from his homeowners association, in which 90 percent were opposed due to "traffic concerns." Many other residents in the Popes Head Road express similar concerns as they did to the planning commission in March, yet wished to ignore the issues of the political and religious extremism, which has made news in recent years.

As the hearing went on, I went out in the main lobby and noticed several of the ISA supporters holding Muslim prayers.

In response, several opponents who spoke out against the school held a Christian prayer.

Later in the evening, as others spoke against the school many ISA supporters laughed at the comments of opponents.

Here, one ISA supporter laughs after the commenter finishes his statement, noting how Saudi textbook labels Jews as "descendants of pigs."

It remains to be seen how the Board will vote. Will they (like the planning commission) ignore the citizens in the Popes Head Road area, as well as those patriots who brought up the elephant in the room, the extremist textbooks and alumni links to Islamic terrorism?
