Al-Queda Trained Terrorists Possibly To Be Released in DC Area From Gitmo; Obama Admin Overrides Objections from FBI & DHS

Last Saturday, as a guest blogger at This Ain't Hell, I wrote about one town in Montana's idea to house released Gitmo terrorist detainees, as well as plans to release Uighur terrorists trained by al-Queda into neighborhoods in the DC suburbs of Northern Virginia.

For background, The LA Times (followed by an excerpt of my TAH post) said:

There are 17 Uighurs (pronounced WEE-gers) at Guantanamo. A U.S. official familiar with the discussions over their release said that as many as seven could be resettled in the U.S., possibly in two or more small groups.

Officials have not said where in the United States they might live. But many Uighur immigrants from China live in Washington’s Virginia suburbs, and advocates have urged that the detainees be resettled near people who speak their language and are familiar with their customs.

Why the plan to release them into the general population? Some in our government no longer consider them enemy combatants and fear that, if returned to China, they could be tortured.

The Uighurs oppose the Chinese government but do not consider the U.S.government a direct enemy. Still, many of the Uighurs hold strict views of what is permitted under Islam.

Within the prison, Uighurs are not considered a grave threat and are allowed greater freedom, such as television privileges, than other detainees.

But the TV privileges underscored potential difficulties to come, according to one current and one former U.S.official. Not long after being granted access to TV, some of the Uighurs were watching a soccer game. When a woman with bare arms was shown on the screen, one of the group grabbed the television and threw it to the ground, according to the officials.

Let me get this straight, they’re not a threat but destroyed a television when a bare-armed woman came on the screen? So what happens if, say, in their Northern Virginia neighborhood, they happen to come upon a neighbor who is unwinding in front of the TV on a Friday night with a beer while watching some adult cable channel on TV?

Is this absurd or what? These liberals are acting under the delusion that the Gitmo detainees are the equivalent of petty criminals who broke into a house or stole CDs from Wal Mart. These are people who were trained by and have committed acts of terrorism for al-Qaeda. Remember, also, anywhere from 61 to 102 released Gitmo detainees have returned to the battlefield to kill more Americans. Given a chance to be either imprisoned or released within America, only a misguided fool would think they won’t jump at the chance to commit an act of terrorism here

Yesterday, while everyone was distracted with the mostly media hyped swine flu, as well as the 24 hour liberal MSM Obasm called "That One's 100th Day In Office: How Great Thou Art....How Great Thou Art," not many noticed that terrorist friendly Attorney General Eric Holder was speaking in Berlin, as Andy McCarthy at NRO put it:

...discussing what he doesn't seem to want to talk about much in the United States: the Obama administration's emerging plan to comply with the President's arbitrary January 2010 deadline for closing Guantanamo Bay by throwing open the door and releasing trained jihadists into the United States (among other places). Fox News is reporting that, in addition to the Uighurs, another 13 combatants have now been "cleared" for release — bringing the total to 30. And when many, if not the vast majority, of the people who trained to kill you end up here, you'll get to pay for it! Fox elaborates:

Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair has indicated that detainees released in the U.S. would likely receive government assistance to help them return to society — one they've never been a part of. "If we are to release them in the United States, we need some sort of assistance for them to start a new life," Blair said last month. "You can't just put them on the street."

Moving quickly to release Chinese Uighur terrorists into the United States, Obama administration officials have -- for the second time -- overridden objections of federal agencies responsible for national security.

The first time -- as I reported on April 20 -- the White House overrode the inter-agency panel it created from all the national security agencies to review all the cases of the Guantanamo Bay prisoners. That panel found that the seventeen Uighurs -- members of the East Turkestan Islamic Movement captured at an al-Queda training camp in Pakistan -- were too dangerous to release in the United States.

Now -- according to a federal agency source who requested anonymity -- the White House has also overridden opposition to the release from both the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security.

Beginning yesterday and continuing today, Obama administration officials are briefing key members of Congress on the release, which may happen as early as next week. There apparently has been no decision on where the Uighurs will be turned loose. Earlier reports suggested they could be released in Alexandria, Virginia or Washington, D.C.

This is so mindlessly INSANE! Our own Department of Homeland Security actually got something right for a change and opposed the release of these terrorists in America. Yet Obama says "No way" and wants to release them regardless!?!?!?! What the Hell is this guy's problem? Are he and every BDS suffering Democrat so delusional to think George Bush and Dick Cheney just found 15 Chinese immigrants stealing hubcaps, labeled them terrorists and threw them into Gitmo for their own entertainment? What else are we to expect from an administration so forgetful of 9/11 they don't see anything wrong buzzing New Yorkers with a jumbo jet for a taxpayer funded photo op.

Remember. Anywhere from 61 to 102 Gitmo detainees have returned to terrorism. What kind of delusion is the Obama Administration under, that a welfare check and some food stamps will remove the "root causes" of these terrorists' destructive rage? How are they so sure these Uighurs will not seek recruits and unleash acts of terrorism in the DC area?

This is an issue that local officials in Virginia, DC and Congress need to battle this administration on. This is a matter of national security and the safety of American lives, and we shouldn't become guinea pigs in this administration's little treasonous social experiment with these terrorists.

Let just ONE American citizen die at the hands of one of these released terrorists and this Administration must be held responsible for this failure to uphold their oath of office to protect this nation.

Decision On Expanding Islamic Saudi Academy Delayed Until May 14

The Fairfax County Planning Commission was to decide tomorrow evening, April 30th about a request for expansion of the campus of the Islamic Saudi Academy on Pope's Head Road in Fairfax, VA.

According to their calendar, as well as a call to their office today, the decision on that issue has been postponed until the May 14th hearing. No reason was given to me for the delay.

If you recall, the topic of the expansion led to a planning commission meeting last month filled with fireworks and bias on the part of several commission members against opponents of the expansion. Quality of life, traffic and environmental concerns were expressed, as well as the extremist nature of the school, as textbooks have been found to contain anti-American and anti-Semitic passages.

Additionally, supporters of the school (obviously in an orchestrated move) filled up the room and booed, laughed and hissed at opponents of the school expansion without reprisal from the board members.

Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA) has requested the State Department SEVEN times for an investigation into the textbooks and has not received any response, according to the Loudoun County (VA) Times.

In his seventh letter in less than a year to the department, Wolf calls continued inaction on the part of the department "inexcusable."

...Material in some textbooks used at both campuses has been called "intolerant" and "shocking" by the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, and by Ali Al-Ahmed, director of the The Institute for Gulf Affairs, a nonpartisan Washington, D.C., think tank.

According to Al-Ahmed, one example is a 10th-grade work that "indulges in anti-Semitic conspiracy theories."

...While some textbook material has reportedly been changed due to pressure from the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, Wolf says an independent investigation of the textbooks and their overarching use at the academy has yet to be initiated.

"We're just asking that there be an independent evaluation by someone that's not paid by the Saudi Academy," Wolf said.

In a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on March 12, Wolf wrote: "According to AP, 'while the Islamic Saudi Academy deleted some of the most contentious passages from the texts, copies provided to the Associated Press show that enough sensitive material remains to fuel critics who claim the books show intolerance toward those who do not follow strict interpretations of Islam.'"

"...I think you can't ignore this," Wolf told the Times. "The school is now even asking for an expansion, and yet this cloud remains over it. You don't want to put a cloud over the students that are going there, and I'm sure there are a lot of good people who go. If someone can just say that 'we looked at this and we are truly independent and not paid by anyone and everything seems OK,' then this whole thing will go away. But to date, we have not been able to get that done.”

If approved, final decision on the expansion would be up to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.

He has such a contempt for this nation that you know he heard every word the Racist Reverend Jeremiah Wright of the Trinity United Church of Hating Whitey uttered, and he was probably yelling "AMEN!"

Liberals spent the eight years of George W. Bush lecturing him about not offending "allies" (the Socialist Euroweenies they admire), yet Obama has snubbed our strongest allies in England (giving the PM 25 DVDs and the Queen an iPod of his speeches), Canada (his DHS secretary said the 9/11 hijackers came from there) while giving the Saudi king a deep bow, not responding to Daniel Ortega's diatribe against the US and sucking up to Hugo Chavez.

He is a commander in chief who is acting in ways which will put our military and covert agents in more danger and cost more lives by releasing CIA documents on "enhanced interrogations" and the upcoming photo release. All while he tells the CIA he's "watching their back." How would you like that guy in a foxhole with you?

Federal spending during a recession has exceeded all previous presidents combined. Meanwhile, while many Americans suffer, he's having wagu steak and cocktail parties.

Don't forget the Air Force One photo op which scared New Yorkers and cost a cool $300,000. Coming from a White House that only wants to cut $100 million out of a $10 trillion projected deficit?

But don't worry that the Islamofascists are more secure and Americans are less safe. Obama's hip, daddy-o. The media told us so. A media who abandoned the practice of journalism last year is now acting as "That One's" PR service, with never ending stories about how elegant Mean Michelle is, what kind of dog they're going to get, and the swing set for the Obama girls. All this while more Americans are out of work and Islamofascism is still on the move.

The liberal media doesn't care. They're happy one of their own is in the White House, a snob elitist rubbing elbows with other elites. No doubt those summer vacations will be more elegant for the MSM, they don't have to worry anymore about (in their eyes) going to that "hick town" Crawford, TX.

The decision was driven by the “bleak picture” that public opinion polls in his state painted of his prospects for winning the Republican nomination for another six-year term next year, Specter said today. His vote for President Barack Obama’s $787 billion economic stimulus measure earlier this year fueled discontent toward him among many Pennsylvania Republicans.

“I am not prepared to have my 29-year record in the United States Senate decided by the Pennsylvania Republican primary electorate,” Specter told a Washington news conference. “Social conservatives” in the party have made “no bones about their willingness to lose the general election if they can purify the party,” he said.

WASHINGTON – Everyone knows President Barack Obama can deliver a great speech, including the president himself, according to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

The paperback version of Reid's book, "The Good Fight," is coming out May 5 with an epilogue called "The Obama Era." Reid said he was impressed when Obama, then a freshman senator from Illinois, delivered a speech about President George W. Bush's war policy.

Reid, D-Nev., writes: "'That speech was phenomenal, Barack,' I told him. And I will never forget his response. Without the barest hint of braggadocio or conceit, and with what I would describe as deep humility, he said quietly: 'I have a gift, Harry.'"

It's apparent that when God was handing out the gift of humility, Barack Hussein Obama was at the end of the line.

Woolsey was protesting with the Save Darfur Coalition, the Enough Project and the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism. The group was arrested by police after refusing to leave a protest on the embassy steps.

Woolsey, a leading dove in Congress and member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, took note of the activists in her Marin district who "created 'Dear Darfur love Petaluma,' which spread to 'Dear Darfur love Marin,' and then 'Dear Darfur love Sonoma.' They also created 'Tents of Hope,' which has brought together activists nationwide to highlight the genocide, and has provided relief to thousands of displaced people in Darfur."

Woolsey vowed that the genocide in Darfur will be "a top priority in Congress." While praising President Obama's steps to "re-engage the international community," she said it's time to replace words with action. She urged the Obama administration to make Darfur a top issue in the U.S. relationship with China.

Other members of Congress arrested, all Democrats, were Reps. Jim McGovern of Massachusetts, John Lewis of Georgia, Donna Edwards of Maryland and Keith Ellison of Minnesota.

Look, we all agree about what's happening there, but what good does getting arrested do? It certainly doesn't help the suffering people in Darfur.

But that's liberalism. Get arrested to show the world "I care!"

Diane Feinstein Wants Investigations? Let's Start With HER For Using Her Position to Enrich Her Husband

California Senator Diane Feinstein wants us all to shut up so the Democrats can help the terrorists even more by conduct their witch hunt investigation into Bush-era interrogation of al-Queda detainees.

She told CNN, in part:

"And we have set upon a course -- a bipartisan course (????) -- with a program scope approved by the Committee to review the conditions of detention and the techniques of interrogation of each of the high-value detainees."

"My hope is that the public debate quells, (in other words, "shut up!") that we have an opportunity to do our work," said Feinstein, "the Committee will consider it, and then we will release, most likely, findings and recommendations."

So the idea here is we're distracting these libs with their Star Chamber show trials and we should just be silent. Personally, I find it funny that Diane Feinstein is out in front screeching for investigations into the Bush Administration.

Got something to hide, Diane? It appears that you do.

This little gem didn't make it to your local newspaper and I'm sure the Obama News Network didn't ask her about this Washington Times story from last week, "Senator's husband's firm cashes in on crisis."

On the day the new Congress convened this year, Sen. Dianne Feinstein introduced legislation to route $25 billion in taxpayer money to a government agency that had just awarded her husband's real estate firm a lucrative contract to sell foreclosed properties at compensation rates higher than the industry norms.

Mrs. Feinstein's intervention on behalf of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. was unusual: the California Democrat isn't a member of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs with jurisdiction over FDIC; and the agency is supposed to operate from money it raises from bank-paid insurance payments - not direct federal dollars.

Documents reviewed by The Washington Times show Mrs. Feinstein first offered Oct. 30 to help the FDIC secure money for its effort to stem the rise of home foreclosures. Her letter was sent just days before the agency determined that CB Richard Ellis Group (CBRE) - the commercial real estate firm that her husband Richard Blum heads as board chairman - had won the competitive bidding for a contract to sell foreclosed properties that FDIC had inherited from failed banks.

This isn't the first time Feinstein has used her position as a US Senator to enrich her family. Her husband, Richard Blum, has a lot of dealings with China and Feinstein is a big supporter of that Communist nation. In 2007, she resigned from the Military Appropriations Subcommittee after it was revealed that she voted on behalf of government contracts being awarded to a company owned by her husband.

Additionally, as a side issue, should we even trust Diane with sensitive military secrets, as she appears to have become a female Patrick "Leaky" Leahy? At a hearing in February, the revelation that Predator drones which launch missile attacks on Islamofascist militants take off from bases in Pakistan fell from her loose lips.

For all the screaming of "investigations" and "culture of corruption," the liberal Democrats never acknowledge, nor investigate, their even bigger pile of dirty laundry, with the liberal MSM doing their best to cover for the party whose propaganda they regurgitate.

With Democrats, and Feinstein, it's all about being Democrats first before being American. Liberals have screamed and complained how the Bush Administration was "divisive" and "destroyed unity " after 9/11. Hogwash! I seem to remember Feinstein complained after 9/11 how she was embarrassed to be an American when she visited Europe.

Now that Bush is out of office, who is it who is intent on wasting taxpayer money on partisan investigations into the previous administration that will not only divide America even further, but put our nation and our troops at even more risk?

If there's to be any investigations, it should be into Diane Feinstein and her abuse of the public trust for her own enrichment.

Free Roxana Saberi, US Journalist Being Held By Iranian Regime

Yesterday was the 32nd birthday of journalist Roxana Saberi, who is being held in an Iranian prison and on day five of a hunger strike.

The Iranian regime has called her a spy. She was convicted in one hour in a kangaroo court of "espionage" and sentance to eight years behind bars. Additionally, one of her defense attorneys was denied access to her.

The chief village idiot of Ross, CA, Sean Penn, came to the defense of his amigo from Venezuela, the dictator Hugo Chavez.

Melanie Morgan gave this moron a great smackdown in her WorldNetDaily column.

In his article, "Smiles for Smirks," Penn attacks anybody who thought it was a bad idea for the president of the United States, Barack Obama, to buddy around with a murderous dictator such as Hugo Chavez. (Count me guilty!) For the record, many of us knew that Obama would hang out with the world's thugs because he already had a record of chumming around with domestic terrorist, Billy Ayers, who may still face the music for the terror that his Weather Underground unleashed on America.

"Further, the criticisms of President Obama's warm greeting toward President Chavez of Venezuela have been the posturing of our nation's most bitter and humanly impotent voices. Why is anyone listening to former Vice President Cheney?" Penn wrote. "He's the one person alive proven wrong on virtually every topic."

Sean, I hate to be the one to tell you, but you should kiss Cheney's feet for keeping you and your family safe – yes even your America-hating friends. I also hate to tell you that acting is for entertainment, and politics is for big boys who know a thing or two about the world. You're an actor. Cheney has given his life to public service. People elected him over and over again in Democratic contests. People just paid to watch you act like a "gay" politician. Get the difference?

Penn continued: "Then there's Newt Gingrich, who commented on the Chavez greeting as being approached wrong. He suggested that the meeting itself may not be improper, but that it should have been handled with a cold demeanor. This is a pattern of bad acting advice from bad actors. (All wimps think playing a tough guy is done in one-note coldness.)"

As I said above, Sean: The world is not run by actors, despite what your acting coaches told you. You were in red diapers when Gingrich and Cheney began working for the people. You are not a seasoned diplomat because you are friends with Hugo Chavez, who was buddies with Saddam Hussein and other murderous dictators. Chavez's government is moving toward his anti-Semitic buddies in the Middle East.

"I know President Chavez well. Whether or not one agrees with all his policies, what is certainly true of Chavez is that he is a warm and friendly man with a robust sense of humor (who daily risks his own life for his country in ways Dick Cheney could never imagine)," Penn wrote.

Agree with his policies? Which ones? Government intimidation of his domestic opponents? Anti-Semitism? Sean, it's not funny to befriend folks like Iran's president who wants to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth. What do you and Hugo laugh about with his "robust sense of humor?" Do you talk about how he demeans Jews? Is he "warm and friendly" when he castigates America?

"To treat such a man coldly is akin to spitting on him. As a country we've done enough of that," Penn wrote.

Sean, since when have you and your leftist ilk started worrying about spitting on people? Not during the Vietnam War, when radicals like you spat on returning troops. And definitely not last year, when I personally witnessed leftists spitting and cursing veterans. I'm glad you are ready to lead your "people" out of the spitting age. Maybe you can do a movie about it: "The Day the Left Grew Up."

I again apologize to the world for Penn's idiocy and his puffed up ego that makes him think anybody cares about his diatribes. I am sorry because I think I must have paid to see a movie of his, and I contributed to his delusions of grandeur.

As one neighbor to another, Sean, shut up and act.

Imagine if Sean Penn had been around in the 1930's, befriended and met with Adolf Hitler. Can you imagine how Penn would defend the Nazi dictator? "He's a warm, friendly guy who cares about life. Most people don't know, but Herr Hitler is a non-smoker, a vegetarian and cares deeply about the welfare of animals at his beloved mountain hideaway Berchtesgaden. How could such a caring man harm any human soul?"

Napolatano Apologizes To American Legion Over DHS Memo Calling Vets Potential Terrorists

I just completed an exclusive interview with Commander David Rehbein of the American Legion, who had just come out of a meeting with Janet Napolitano. Cmdr. Rehbein says that Napolitano offered a much more complete apology for the accusation in the DHS report on right-wing extremism that came out earlier this month. He believes that Napolitano will withdraw that report in favor of a better, more specific, and narrower report on actual threats. I also asked him whether the Obama administration appears to have learned from this and the previous controversy over medical coverage of service-related injuries and illnesses, and he graciously acknowledged that they do seem to be learning — and to want to learn.

Outrage!--FBI Spied On Tea Parties Nationwide

It has gone beyond the DHS document. The Obama Administration's taxpayer funded witch hunt against those who dare dissent against "That One" is underway.

....Obama’s FBI was covertly doing surveillance at each Tea Party throughout the nation, according to Douglas J. Hagmann, director of Northeast Intelligence Network, and Canada Free Press founding editor, McLeod. In a chilling commentary, the authors describe the following:

…a single-page confidential directive issued by the FBI headquarters in Washington, DC (FBIHQ) was sent to each of the 56 field offices located across the United States on or about March 23, 2009, instructing the Special Agents in Charge (SACs) of those offices to verify the date, time and location of each Tea Party within their region and supply that information to FBI headquarters in Washington. The source stated this correspondence termed the `Tea parties ’political demonstrations,” and added that the dissemination of the directive was very tightly controlled. `

In addition to obtaining or confirming the location and time of each `demonstration,’ each field office was instructed to obtain or confirm the identity of the individual(s) involved in the actual planning and coordination of the event in each specific region, and include the local or regional Internet web site address, if any. The information collected by region was then reportedly sent to FBI Headquarters.

A second directive was issued on or about April 6, 2009, that reportedly instructed each SAC to coordinate and conduct, either at the field office level and/or with the appropriate resident agency, covert video surveillance and data collection of the participants of the Tea Parties. Surveillance was to be performed from “discreet fixed or mobile positions” and was to be performed “independently and outside of the purview of local law enforcement.”

“Listen to what I am saying,” said Hagmann’s source. “The Department of Homeland Security Intelligence Assessment that is receiving so much attention is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg, and the true patriotic citizens of this country are on the Titanic.”

Are you angry and outraged yet? A week ago, hundreds of thousands of Americans from different backgrounds, political beliefs, ethnic groups and colors gathered in over 800 areas nationwide to protest the vast expansion of the Federal Government, as well as the financial mismanagement of this nation by Democrats as well as Republicans. Where are all you libs who screamed for the last eight years that "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism" as well as so-called "warrantless wiretapping" and "surveillance" which was used against terrorists. As your President and your Democrap Party trample upon and shred the Constitution of the United States, your silence now not only speaks volumes, it shows just what kind of hypocrites you really are!

Oh, and another word to a certain prominent blogger who thinks the DHS report and the attack on our veterans is no big deal, that all of us on the right are just hyperventilating over nothing. California's Dana Rohrbacher Takes On Hildebeast For Saying VP Cheney "Not A Reliable Source" On Interrogation Memos

Secretary of the Socialist State, Hillary Rotten Clinton, had the absolute gall to state that former Vice President Dick Cheney wasn't "a particularly reliable source of information" when it comes to releasing more CIA interrogation memos to show that harsh interrogation methods worked and saved American lives.

California Rep. Dana Rohrbacher then said the following.

"Madam Secretary, I asked you a specific question…Dick Cheney has asked that specific documents be declassified. I didn’t ask you what your opinion is of Dick Cheney and if you want to maintain your credibility with us, what is your opinion on the release of those documents.”

According to his website, Rohrbacher said later:

“It is unconscionable that the Secretary of State called into question former Vice President Dick Cheney’s integrity,” said Rohrabacher. “She stretched her own credibility to the limits by suggesting the information about interrogations was not made available to her during her tenure as a sitting senator on the Armed Services Committee. That was a huge issue at that time. “Her refusal to indicate support for the declassification of documents that gives context and greater insight into the interrogation decisions is a bad omen concerning the openness of this administration.”

“If this administration wants a bi-partisan approach it has got to stop attacking the character of former VP Cheney and release documents that demonstrate their commitment to transparency and accountability,” said Rohrabacher. “This administration is willing to disclose documents that will politically hurt the Bush administration but refuse to release documents that demonstrate interrogation techniques, now being criticized, were essential in thwarting a 9-11 style terrorist plan against Los Angeles. Potentially, thousands of American lives were saved.”

For the Hildebeast to think that the vice president for the last eight years is not a reliable source on the CIA memos, shows not just her stupidity, but the lengths she will go in the partisan war against the Bush Administration.

Sean Hannity had part two of his interview with Dick Cheney earlier this evening.

While Cheney, as usual, was excellent, the fireworks continued from former Bush Advisor Karl Rove, who was on fire with his analysis about the Obama plan to go after Bush Admin lawyers for doing what needed to be done to prevent another 9/11 style terrorist attacks.

Rove accurately summed up the Obama Administration/Democrat Party attempt to criminalize political differences saying:

"Lets step back for a minute. What the Obama administration has done in the last several days is very dangerous. What they've essentially said is, if we have a policy disagreements with our predecessors, what we're going to do is turn ourselves into the moral equivalent of a Latin American country run by colonels in mirrored sunglasses, and what we're going to do is prosecute systematically the previous administration or threaten prosecutions on the previous administration based on policy differences. Is that what we've come to in this country? That when we have a change in administration from one party to another, that we use the tools of the government to go systematically after the policy disagreements with the previous administration? Now, that may be fine in some little Latin American country that's run by you know the latest junta. It may be the way they do things in Chicago, but that's not the way we do things here in America."

Well said! Remember that our founders specifically saw the First Amendment was instituted to guarantee freedom of political speech, not to clamp down on disagreements, as liberals would like to do.

Obama Sides With Al-Queda Once Again, Open To Prosecution Of Bush Admin Lawyers For So-Called "Torture" Memos

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama left the door open Tuesday to prosecuting Bush administration officials who devised the legal authority for gruesome terror-suspect interrogations, saying the United States lost "our moral bearings" with use of the tactics.

The question of whether to bring charges against those who devised justification for the methods "is going to be more of a decision for the attorney general within the parameters of various laws and I don't want to prejudge that," Obama said. The president discussed the continuing issue of terrorism-era interrogation tactics with reporters as he finished an Oval Office meeting with visiting King Abdullah II of Jordan.

Obama also said he could support a congressional investigation into the Bush-era terrorist detainee program, but only under certain conditions, such as if it were done on a bipartisan basis. He said he worries about the impact that high-intensity, politicized hearings in Congress could have on the government's efforts to cope with terrorism.

Never mind that when the decided to air the redacted CIA memos for all the world (including al-Queda and other Islamofascists) to see, he said he would not prosecute.

Right! And he never heard those racist, anti-American ravings that the racist Rev. Jeremiah Wright spewed in his Church of Hate. Liar! Obama was probably on the front row yelling "AMEN" when Wright screamed "God D*** America!" and that our "chickens have come home to roost" after 9/11. We all know how Obama felt on 9/11, remember?

On top of everything else, he has the outright gall to worry about "politicized hearings?" Curious as to who is behind "That One's" change of heart on prosecuting Americans for doing their Constitutional duty in protecting this nation?

And you know that MorOn, George Soro$ and all these other guant, mothball smelling "progressive types" like John Podesta are all puppet masters of Obama.

Obama Administration & Democrats Tougher On Vets, Conservatives Than On 9/11 Mastermind & Al Queda

A week after writing about this taxpayer funded attack on conservatives and (most outrageously) at returning veterans of the War on Terror as "extremists" and possible terrorists (known as the DHS report), I'm still livid.

Especially when there were concerns about the language used in this report, but it was released anyway.

And all we can get from the DHS Secretary Janet Napolatano is a non-apology ("I [in]sincerely apologize to you vets who took offense at how we liberals really view you.") one minute, then a defense of this insult with the excuse about Timothy McVeigh, with the incredible temerity to claim that the US Army trained him to build and set off the bomb which went off at the Federal Building in Oklahoma City in 1995.

Make no mistake, I could sit here and write how this disgrace named Janet Napolatano should either resign or be fired. She should, and, in another time, that would have happened. Not today, when we have a liberal media and a liberal Democrat political class who not only view veterans with contempt, but any citizen who dares to voice dissent against Obama and his radical agenda. Why the silence of major Democrats on this DHS report? Because it's what they really think of the military, as well as those of us who believe in the Constitution, except most of them are too chickenshit to come out and say it, or when one does slip up and utter such contempt, they'll issue the obligatory "non-apology/apology" with a few crocodile tears thrown in for drama.

This report and the FBI Extremist probe named Operation Vigilant Eagle (thank you to our terrorist friendly Attorney General Eric Holder) is, in my mind, this Administration essentially symbolically spitting in the face of returning veterans, as hippie scum who helped elect Obama and the Democrat majority did to returning Vietnam vets in the 1960's.

All this comes, of course, as Napolatano wants to call terrorism "man made disasters" so as not of offfeeeeeend Islamofascists.

And it gets worse, when we have a President who travels the globe ashamed of this nation when he's not cozing up to dictators and taking anti-American literature. Or shakes the hand of antother dictator who spent 50 minutes attacking this nation, having the gall to say he was glad not to be blamed for the Bay of Pigs. That is, of course, when he's not leaking CIA interrogation memos for the whole world, including Al-Queda, to see.

And don't get me started about Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, being waterboarded 183 times. As far as I'm concerned, it wasn't enough. How about giving the bastard terrorist a shot in the head and wrapping his body in pigskin?

Keep in mind this scum was the mastermind of the 9/11 attack that killed 3,000 people in cold blood, and also beheaded WSJ Reporter Daniel Pearl, after making him say "My father is a Jew, my mother is a Jew, I am a Jew."

Why is it that Barack Hussein Obama, his administration and members of the Democrat party have not uttered ONE WORD of outrage at the treatment of our personnel who guard these terrorist scum. Hardly any mention of that in the media, yet you'll find news outlets orgasmic anytime they get a chance to interview a guard who claims the military are abusing the poor wittle terrorwists. Never mind they're members of the group of misfits known as IVAW and their "recollections" are second-hand or questionable, it's treated as gospel by the liberal media.

Don't you find it the height of hypocrisy too, that all these liberals who were so worried about civil liberties during the Bush Administration are silent about this liberal attack on conservatives and veterans, as well as the dissenters who voice their opinions during the tea parties?

As much legitimate outrage is being directed at this Administration and Congress over the massive federal spending and coming high taxes, the criminalization of political thought as well as the tar and feathering of our veterans needs to generate even more outrage, not just from citizens, but elected officials.

Failed talk show host, failed comedienne and all around snotty Miss Know-It-All Janene Garafalo added another dose of liberal contempt for the common men and women who showed up at the Tea Parties on Wednesday.

What did she do? Garafalo claims the tea parties were about "racism," because it's directed towards a black man (Obama) and "white power."

As anyone knows, playing the racist card against conservatives is the most commonly used type of slander towards anyone who believes in the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and rejects the idea of socialism.

She must be looking at different rallies that the ones I saw. Plus, when I was in Reston, VA for the tea party Wednesday, I saw no signs of racism. Neither did I see signs calling for the President's assassination, unlike the way liberals were at their rallies when George W. Bush was President.

But as a Compassionate Conservative, I want to help Janene out, since she's so worried about the ugly sight of racism in the public discourse. How about it, Janene Garafalo, will you condemn these documented episodes of racism (and sexism), coming from......liberals.

I'm sure you've heard of the outrageous display of bias against yesterday's Tea Parties by CNN Obama Propagandist Susan Roesgen.

CNN's New Logo (now the Obama News Network), after their pathetic coverage of the Tea Parties yesterday.

In case you missed it, here is her biased analysis of this "organized by the Right-wing Fox News event."



When she wasn't spewing the Obama Talking Points to Tea Partygoers, she was outraged at those who called "That One" a fascist. Three years ago, she had no outrage when similar comparisons were made against then-President George W. Bush.

By now you've probably heard of the shameful actions by Susan Roesgen, the CNN reporter who harrassed attendees at yesterday's Chicago Tea Party. Instead of reporting on the Tea Party, Roesgen picked people out of the crowd to confront and argue with, before signing off her report by labeling the tea party movement as "anti-CNN" and "not family viewing."

Many of you have wondered what you can do to register your outrage, and we here at the Our Country Deserves Better Committee are happy to help.

Tax Day Tea Party in Reston, VA

This was the scene earlier this evening in Reston, VA, where at least 500 people gathered in the cold and rain to protest the actions of the Obama Administration and liberal Democrat Congress in the multi-trillion dollar spending spree of the last 80 plus days, and the promise of higher taxes to pay for their grand socialist experiment.

Originally scheduled to be held at Lake Anne Plaza in Reston, the local homeowners association stymied the protest just hours before the 6:30 p.m. start time.Organizers were able to move it to a soccer field at nearby Baron Cameron Park. It was almost like a conservative Woodstock...rain and mud but (thankfully) no brown acid.

My only criticism of the event is that some of the speakers (mostly the Constitutional Party representative) tried to make it a rally for third parties who, to be honest, don't have a chance of winning. Even some in the crowd shouted their disapproval at the speaker. Hopefully, the organizers will keep this in mind for future events, so as not to kill the momentum of this important movement.

Five hundred participants is a great number for Reston, one of the more liberal areas in Fairfax County, VA (though not quite as liberal as Marin County, CA, our former home base), especially with the weather the way it was, as well as the last minute location change. A rally was held earlier in the Merrifield area of Fairfax County. In talking to emcee of the Reston event, Leslie Carbone, I understand there was a smaller crowd in Merrifield.

Several of the people I spoke with tonight also were at the rally today in Washington DC. Jonn from This Ain't Hell was there (as was TSO and Age of Hooper). The Code Pinkos (led by Susie "Medea" Benjamin) were there, as were a few numbnuts from MorOn.org.

Michelle Malkin has photos from similar events around the nation. Gateway Pundit writes of 10,000 at the Tea Party in St. Louis. Bookworm Room has an account of the San Francisco Tea Party. Prince William County, VA blogger Black Velvet Bruce Li has coverage of their local Tea Party. I've heard anywhere from 800 to 1,500 tea parties were held nationwide.

With the exception of Fox News, the media coverage has been pathetic and one-sided. The mainstream liberal media has portrayed this as a Republican, Fox News organized events. No they weren't. These are the people who make America work, the one's who usually don't protest because they're busy working to pay their bills, mortgages, put their kids in school, etc. They're tired of being told they have to pay more in taxes to support people who made bad decisions and are called "selfish" or "wealthy" when they say they're taxed enough. And it is not just Obama and the Democrats who are to blame. Republicans also got the wrath of the protesters. At the Reston rally, one speaker slammed Texas Senator Jon Cornyn, a Republican who announced support for RINO Arlen Sphincter's re-election in 2010.

Bottom line. This is what real grassroots movement looks like, liberal media, unlike the George Soro$ funded rent-a-mobs of the Left which you love to give glowing reports of.

Tomorrow Is Tea Party Day! Some Tea Parties of Note, Find One Near You

Tomorrow, April 15th, is the day when average Americans are going to gather in towns large and small across America to stand up and say "NO" to the record amount of government spending and the proposals of higher taxes from the Democrat government in Washington DC.

If you're in California, don't forget the San Francisco Tea Party from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Civic Center Park in San Francisco. Sally Z says they plan to walk to City Hall, Pelosi's office and Supreme Court and back to the Park. She adds, "Make sure all signs are appropriate. Stay classy and true to our values; kids might be coming as well."

In El Segundo, CA, Brian Newton writes of the Tea Party being held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m at Dockweiler State Beach "to peacefully petition our elected officials, and particularly Congresswoman Jane Harman who is a self-described Blue Dog Democrat and fiscal conservative, to stop the irresponsible bailouts and out of control spending by the Federal
Government. Join us for a unique “by land and by sea” reenactment of the original Boston Tea
Party as an expression of our liberty and a cry of protest that our state and federal representatives ignore at their political peril."

In Washington DC, there are two locations listed on the New American Tea Party website, beginning at Lafayette Plaza at 11am with the “Grassroots” stage and 12pm at the US Treasury Department for the National Stage.

If you're like me in the DC Area and are unable to get off work, look for events near you. If you're in Northern Virginia, there will be a tea party in at Lake Anne Village Center Plaza, 1609 Washington Plaza in Reston from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. I'm planning to go to that event. A blogger named Leslie Carbone (whose blog I just found this evening) is planning to be the emcee.

Wherever you go, keep an eye out for uninvited guests who are planning to crash the tea party, in an attempt to discredit this grassroots movement. Michelle Malkin notes how the Code Pinkos are planning such an event in Southern CA, and some Kos Kooks are attempting to pass themselves off as journalists, writing:

We’re going to ask open ended questions that seem to have a slight conservative bent to (hopefully) get them to open up and just start ranting. Then, we take any examples of racism, hatred, ignorance, and stupidity that we catch on camera and make a little movie out of it. Probably a YouTube special.

Wherever you're at, if you see someone suspicious, don't let them bait you. If any of these Kos Kooks, Code Pinkos, etc try to bait or cause trouble with anyone, tape them and we can expose their liberal asses on YouTube. Two can play at that game!

While the Obama DHS is warning America about violence from "right wing extremists," liberals get a free pass on their reign of hate towards conservatives and the military.

No talent Roseanne Barr is the latest example. The tubby comedienne wrote the following on her website (screenshot below) about Clear Channel Radio and Rush Limbaugh.

They think they have a clear channel that broadcasts above the din of human frailty, but they are indeed the tower of babel themselves! they are pro-slavery and anti-freedom. They own rush limbaugh who should be strung up in the public square, like mussolini.

And liberals dare accuse us of violence and hatred?

Pirates Fire On Another American Ship

Heard on the Mark Levin Show a report from an ABC News reporter that another American ship was attacked by these Somali pirates. Reports are that the ship was fired upon with an RPG rocket.

The reporter also noted that the HopeNChange Administration has no plans to go after the camps of these pirates.

In other words, we're back to playing the game of whack-a-mole (as Sandy Burglar called it against al-Queda) against these rag-tag thugs.

Just as Islamofascist terrorism was ignored in the 1990s until 9/11 briefly woke us up, how bad must it get until this President quits worrying about what the hell the rest of the world thinks of us and taking steps to protect American lives, assets and security?

Politically Correct Obama Homeland Security Dept. Focuses On "Right Wing Extremists" As Security Threats

The whiff of fascism in the era of HopeNChange is growing.

WorldNetDaily reports on a document (linked from Roger Hedgecock's website) from the Department of Homeland Security entitled "Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment." Among the items, the document links the economic situation, as well as the "historic Presidential election" of an African-American as President, rising firearm sales, outrage against illegal aliens as evidence of "potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks."

What is worse, the DHS smears veterans of the War on Terrorism, claiming these "right wing groups":

will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat. These skills and knowledge have the potential to boost the capabilities of extremists—including lone wolves or small terrorist cells—to carry out violence. The willingness of a small percentage of military personnel to join extremist groups during the 1990s because they were disgruntled, disillusioned, or suffering from the psychological effects of war is being replicated today.

Essentially, this DHS document is a taxpayer funded smear on citizens who are practicing their First and Second Amendment rights and concerned about high-taxation and illegal immigration. How? The DHS is linking opponents of the current Administration to a very small minority of bigots and kooky conspiracy groups, while smearing military vets in the process.

And isn't it interesting, that this report comes out just as thousands are preparing for nationwide Tea Parties on April 15th. Keep in mind also, that liberal groups are threatening to infiltrate these Tea Parties to cause ruckuses, in an effort to discredit the organizers and frighten Americans who are concerned about the direction of this nation from expressing their opinions, for fears of being labeled a "bigot" or "extremist."

I for one, find it repugnant, since the concept of the First Amendment was to protect political speech. I do not know of anyone who is opposed to "That One" based on his skin color. It is because of the content of his ideas and proposals. Furthermore, I and other fellow conservatives do not hang out with "white supremacists," "militia types," "abortion clinic bombers" or "conspiracy" groups.

Keep in mind also, that the majority of domestic terrorism which has occurred in the United States has been of the Leftist variety.

Need examples? How about the Symbionese Liberation Army, of which two of their members (Joseph Remiro and William Harris) once belonged to the group of discipline cases or phony soldiers who made up Vietnam Veterans Against the War. The Weather Underground, led by Barack Obama's pals Bill Ayers and Behnardine Dohrn, MOVE, the Black Liberation Army, Earth Liberation Front, Animal Liberation Front. I'll also include the Ku Klux Klan in this list, since the KKK has been described as "the terrorist wing of the Democrat Party."

Don't forget also, how the Unabomber, Ted Kaczinski, had liberals make excuses for his reign of terror. SFGate described how SLA fugitive James Kilgore was described as a "champion of the poor" while hiding out in South Africa. The 9/11 terrorists and Islamofascists either had liberals make excuses for them, or deny they even existed.

At the same time, the Left has screamed the loudest when their violence against the military during times of war has been investigated. Witness the attacks against COINTELPRO investigations into so-called "anti-war" groups in the 1960s. The well documented wave of violence against military recruiters and recruiting stations over the last few years has not raised an ounce of outrage among liberals. Don't forget the too numerous to mention calls among the Left for George W. Bush's assassination.

Isn't it interesting also, that the Obama DHS does not include Islamofascism as a terrorist threat? For that matter, Janet Napolatano said recently:

In my speech, although I did not use the word “terrorism,” I referred to “man-caused” disasters. That is perhaps only a nuance, but it demonstrates that we want to move away from the politics of fear toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur.

No mention of radical Islam, for fear of offeeeeeending Muslims, but they'll link a small group of abortion clinic bombers to Christianity. I know of no Christian who would dare endorse, excuse such tactics, or hang around a deplorable person, but I sure noticed many a liberal excuse Bill Ayers and call him a "model citizen."

This DHS document is also deja vu, as it is the same way the Clinton Administration thought in the 1990s. While Osama bin Laden and al-Queda were preparing to attack on 9/11, the Clintonoids were pointing to "right wingers" and Christians as terrorists.

So once again, while a narcissistic and insecure President targets dissenters as "extremists" and "terrorists," potential threats to our citizens are being ignored.
