Rally In Manhattan Saturday Against Platform For KSM & Terrorists To Attack America, NYC Police Commissoner Not Consulted By Holder On Trial

If you are in or anywhere near Manhattan this Saturday, please go to Foley Square in Lower Manhattan to protest the outrageous decision by the Obama Administration and Attorney General Eric Holder to give a war criminal, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other comrades, a civilian trial.

From 9/11 Families for a Safe and Strong America:

Attorney General Eric Holder wants to fly Khalid Shiekh Mohammed into New York City, cloak him and his four “co-defendants” with liberties they would deny every American, and gamble he can get the worst of the worst past a gauntlet of federal judges and Supreme Court Justices.

We say to President Obama and Attorney General Holder, “We will fight you all the way” and we are calling for reinforcements.

We ask you to join us at noon this coming Saturday, December 5, in Foley Square in lower Manhattan, read and co-sign our letter to the President, and tell your Members of Congress to stop this travesty.

...In the air and on the ground, those were all war crimes. Military Commissions were created by Congress to prosecute them and protect national security, both Presidents Obama and Bush have signed the Military Commissions Act into law, and the Supreme Court has recently confirmed them as Constitutional. 9/11 was not a tragedy or homicide; it was an act of genocide committed by war criminals.

That’s why we will be in Foley Square this coming Saturday and ask you to again stand with us.
The rally is at Noon and includes speakers such as Debra Burlingame, whose brother was the pilot of AA Flight 77 which was crashed into the Pentagon, former prosecutor Andrew McCarthy and David Beamer, father of United 93 hero Todd Beamer.

Meanwhile, to prove that Holder's decision was a political one, it was revealed today that NYC Police Commissioner David Kelly was not consulted by Holder about having the trial in Manhattan (911Neverforget.us).

Commissioner Kelly was asked whether U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder consulted with the NYPD in advance about security concerns surrounding the possibility of holding the terror trial in New York. Kelly responded: “The fact is we weren’t asked. And we will make the best of a situation. We weren’t.”

A spokesperson for New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has asserted that the Mayor was informed of the decision only on the very morning Attorney General Holder made his announcement.

“There was no consultation, no consultation with the police department. That decision was made. We were informed,” Commissioner Kelly added on Tuesday.

Debra Burlingame, co-founder of 9/11 Families for a Safe & Strong America, who is organizing a massive rally this Saturday, December 5th, at Foley Square, stated today, “This shocking revelation makes it crystal clear that the Attorney General’s decision to bring Khalid Shaikh Mohammed to New York City was pre-ordained, and he wasn’t about to ask for input that would have resulted in his having to defend the indefensible.”

According to the New York Daily News, New York City spends $300 million per year for ordinary counterterrorism operations. “The Attorney General told 9/11 families that bringing these monsters to NYC is a ‘trust me situation,’ ” said Burlingame. “The American people should not trust the judgment or competence of the nation’s chief law enforcement officer who revealed that he consulted his wife over the decision but not the government officials who are entrusted with our safety and security and who will have to deal with the consequences of that decision.”

Thanks for what you do. There are conservatives in Marin. Unfortunately, they do not speak up enough. I currently live in Marin and have since 2000. It is a beautiful place but in many ways, people living in Marin are in their own unique little bubble. When I moved to CA, I was a registered Independent. But politics here is so "in your face" that you are really forced to take a side. I chose the conservative side. There are so many hypocrital platforms to address in Marin. We hear about "green issues" and the environment, ad nauseum. Yet, Moms are frequently running around town in their SUV's and vans. I am also dumfounded by the amount of well-educated residents who blindly support every liberal agenda, no matter the fiscal or other consequence. Even when this state is faced with astronomical budget deficits that will affect every Californian. I personally find most liberals are not truly educated about the pro's and con's of each issue and really do not want to hear opposing arguments at all. As an example, we have the worst newpaper and journalistic reporting in the entire country. The San Francisco Chronicle is a disgrace of a newspaper, as it is so left-leaning that is is shameful. Independent reporting here simply does not exist. However, in my experience, when liberals are presented with opposing arguments, they back-down and walk away. It's an amusing experiment. But, interstingly, what I found was many (neighbors, teachers, doctors, etc.) who shared my conservative views but stay very quiet about it because of fear of retribution from patrons, customers, etc.

So, my hats off to you. It's too bad you left the Bay Area. We need more who are willing to report both sides of the issues and snap some Marinites back into reality.
