White House Crashers Met Obama Before, Husband Linked To Anti-Israel Group

One of the big stories over the last few days was the couple who crashed the State Dinner at the White House and posted the photos all over their Facebook page.

The obvious question: How could they do this? Anyone who has been to the White House can tell you, there is a list you have to be on to get in, even as a guest of an invitee, and that is after you provide certain information about yourself beforehand to the Secret Service. Then, you have to have photo ID checked at the security gate.

So, the intrigue thickens when it was revealed that this couple from Virginia, Michaele and Tareq Salahi, met Obama before, back in 2005 (WND).

While hand-wringing continues in the White House and among Secret Service officials over an alleged gate-crashing of a state dinner, it appears Michaele and Tareq Salahi had met with Barack Obama previously when he served as a U.S. senator.

Though the Secret Service is taking the rap for the breach of protocol, the couple's attorney is affirming the White House had cleared the Salahis as guests at the Tuesday night event.

...Reached by telephone Friday evening, the couple's attorney, Paul W. Gardner, declined to comment. In an e-mail to Bloomberg News, Gardner added, "My clients were cleared by the White House to be there."

Yet, a June 2005 photo from Polo Contacts Worldwide shows the Salahis with Obama at a pre-event to America's Polo Cup. Others in the photo include American Idol's Randy Jackson and members of the rock group Black Eyed Peas.

American Power also revealed that Salahi is linked to an anti-Israel group as well.

...ominously, it turns out that Tareq Salahi, the polo-playing intruder, is a Palestinian nationalist with ties to the American Task Force on Palestine (ATFP) , a pro-Palestine lobby demanding the "right of return" for all Palestinian refugees and their descendants. The "right of return" has long been considered the backdoor to Israel's destruction. But not only that: ATFP President Ziad Asali is an America-basher who blamed 9/11 on U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East. Asali was a lead U.S. official to PLO terrorist Yassir Arafat's funeral in 2004. And in a position paper in 2007, the ATFP called for a power-sharing agreement at the Palestinian Authority, which would have included the State Department's designated-terrorist group, Hamas.

That is in addition to finding out that the ATFP's former vice president was Rashid Khalidi, a militant supporter of Palestine linked to the terrorist PLO. Gateway Pundit reminds us that the LA Times refused to release a videotape last fall before the election, showing a party for Khalidi which "That One" attended, that became a "Jew Bash."

I'm suspicious there's more to this story than just the "we snuck into the White House" storyline.
