Pastor James David Manning, First Victim Of Obama's "Hate" (Thought) Crimes Law?

As you may have heard, Barack Hussein Obama signed the supposed Hate Crimes Bill into law yesterday, which has also been called the "Pedophile Protection Act," as Democrats defeated Republican attempts to strip protection for pedophiles (Gay Patriot).

This morning comes news that the flamboyant and vocal Obama opponent, Pastor James David Manning of the ATLAH Worldwide Ministries, cannot post new video content on YouTube because of "hate speech."

Why? For saying this?

Joe Seales writes:

In some parts of Europe, you can now be arrested for simply stating what the Bible says about homosexuality. Though it hasn’t come to that yet in America, you better believe it is coming soon, friends. With the passage of the new “hate crimes” bill, this opens up the door for an all out assault on religion and free speech.

Of course, we should all be against real crimes of hate. Of course, it should be a crime to physically assault someone because of their race, sexual orientation, or nationality- and verbal threats against someone should also be taken seriously and dealt with.

But should Americans fear being arrested or silenced for simply stating their religious beliefs? Will the same standard apply to Muslims or is this directed only towards Christians? After all- they, too believe homosexuality is a sin.
Is there more to this? Seales points out the following as well:

....Of course it is true that YouTube, which is owned by Google, is a privately owned company- and is free to restrict whatever they want to on their site.. but who is really behind all this?

We already know that Andrew McLaughlin, a top Google executive, has joined the Obama administration as the “Deputy Chief Technology Officer”. I have no idea what a Deputy Chief Technology Officer does, but I’m pretty sure it’s not a good thing that the Internet’s most popular search engine, a place where millions of people turn to each day for information has a “friend” in the White House. Google employees contributed just about $500,000 to Obama versus a little over $20,000 for McCain. No, they’re not biased at all!
Well that's pretty frightening, that anyone has to be afraid of what they're saying, lest they be arrested and accused of "hate crimes." But is this what America is becoming under "That One?" One group of people is a protected class above another set? Whatever happened to "Equal Protection Under the Law?"

Pastor Manning's new videos can be seen at the ATLAH Media Network. I'd encourage him to challenge the Constitutionality of this "hate crimes law" in court.

(Please excuse me if this is a duplicate post - I can't tell for sure if my first attempt went through...)

Most likely, his banning was due to a recently posted video (currently available at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MHbta2FRf0 ) which included the following comments:

=== 2:28 to 2:40

"If Obama lives, then the constitution, and America dies. Now listen to me very carefully, please hear me, please hear me: If we let Obama live, America dies..."

=== 5:12 to 5:35

"What we need to be focused on, if we allow Obama to live, in his present state as a criminal, then America is torn apart. God knows America is gone. America is gone, if we allow Obama to continue, then the nation is gone, so which, which is it? Obama lives and America dies?"

=== 10:08 to 10:43

"Now what's it going to be? What's it going to be? Is it going to be Obama? He will live and ride off into the sunset as America's first African-American.... President, which is a lie from the pit of hell. But are you gonna let that lie stand, and then the Constitution and America. I can tell you now. Five months from now America will no longer be. We must take immediate and decisive action now."

===

Just as a first note, the country will survive Obama just fine. We survived Bush, we survived Clinton, we even survived Nixon. Claims that Obama (or anyone else) must die to save America deserve nothing less than our strongest condemnation, and people who call for such things deserve - at best - to be ignored and considered irrelevant.

People can and do disagree strongly with Obama and what he stands for - and most are able to make rational arguments as to why they feel that way. No one is challenging or trying to silence that. But what this man is doing is on a whole different level.

He's making it clear that he believes Obama must be killed, and comments such as those quoted from his video will likely get anyone banned from most websites (and other venues.)

The "hate crime" law that was passed yesterday requires more than just the use of "hate speech." It requires at a minimum the criminal act of battery. From my understanding of the bill, Manning *could not* be arrested or prosecuted under it's provisions as there has been no battery (or other physical bodily harm) involved. There may be other laws already on the books - including laws against threats on the President's life (if law enforcement determines that his comments constitute such threats) that he could be prosecuted under, but this new law would not apply to his situation.

Keep protesting Obama. Work to get your preferred candidates elected in 2010 and 2012. If you feel Obama should be impeached and removed from office, get in touch with your district's representative in the House. These are all things you have the absolute right to do, and nothing is going to take those rights away. At the same time, though, I hope you will join in condemning Manning and other like him who call for the President's death or try to promote other violent acts as a means to their goals. Those are the kinds of things that will help ensure the county's survival, and that's something I think we all want.

in another one of Manning's rants, he states that one man can not destroy America. and now he is saying one man can. he also claims there were 40 million blacks in America in the sixties and now there is 30 million. the census bureau says there was 18 million in 1960 and 38 million in 2010. he doesn't check his facts before he spews them out.
