NFL Double Standard: Political Commentary They Don't Object To

One more thought about the Rush Limbaugh/St. Louis Rams/NFL controversy, and it's another illustration of the double standard I mentioned in the last post.
There is incendiary, divisive political commentary which the NFL does not object to. Let me illustrate.

"A big mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick on it."

Those were the words of MSNBC's Keith "Droopy" Olbermann the other night about Michelle Malkin. Olbermann is also one of the on-air staff of NBC's Football Night in America.

Olbermann Watch has more of examples of Keith's left-wing lunacy.
  • Olbermann deplorably mistreated Suzy Kolber at ESPN driving her to tears
  • referred to Lindsay Lohan's mother as a "bag"
  • smashed an Ann Coulter doll to pieces while cackling maniacally
  • made vulgar comments about "slut" Paris Hilton
  • demeaningly referred to Melana Trump and Nic Cage's wife as "child brides"
  • obsessively stalked basketball player Rebecca Lobo
  • mocked Michelle Malkin's ethnicity
  • said Sharon Stone is "old" and "past her prime"
  • called Ann Coulter a "horse" and made a vulgar reference to "Ann Coulter's c*nt"
  • sneered that Angelina Jolie is "desperate" and "going for the ring"
  • said Hillary Clinton should be beaten to death
  • said of his colleague Rita Cosby: she's "dumber than a suitcase of rocks"
  • laughed and joined in on a gross, creepy attack on Carrie Prejean
Apparently, this type of commentary is just fine with the NFL.

Why all the misogyny, Keth? Are you upset you aren't the national spokesman for Viagra because it doesn't help you or your problem?
