Astroturfing for Obama Trying To Save "Dirty" Deeds' Sinking Ship

I got this e-mail from Astroturfing for Obama, who are inserting themselves in the Virginia Governors race on behalf of the Drugstore Cowboy, Creigh Deeds, because there are political implications for That One, if he loses.

They're going to go canvass around the Commonwealth today, telling voters how they think Bob McDonnell, the Republican candidate for governor, is a knuckle-dragging caveman who think women should stay barefoot, pregnant & in the kitchen. Deeds and his campaign staff at The Washington ComPost have been banging this drum since the end of August, yet Deeds is still nine points down in the polls.

Gee, I wonder why? Do you think people are more concerned about the economy, jobs, transportation & roads (especially here in Northern Virginia)? McDonnell has ideas and a track record to run on. All "Dirty Deeds" has in response is: "Twenty years ago, my opponent wrote a thesis....."

Problem is, the whole thesis issue is a distortion, and liberals have twisted the language to lie about what McDonnell really wrote. Virginia Right! read the thesis and says:

The first thing that jumps out at you from the very beginning is that the Democrats have lied about the tone of the entire thesis. It is decidedly not anti woman, but rather pro child (and pro-woman).

This thesis looks at the family structure prior to the 1970’s. During that period, the traditional family with the Father working and Mom staying home to nurture the children, the economic conditions of women and children was far better than in 1989. McDonnell blames the government for encouraging single parent families over two parent homes. And government programs to raise the kids.

The thesis was not about forcing women to stay home, but about encouraging families to stay together and return to the statistically best method – a two parent home – that is the best environment to raise children. He laments that the opposite is now true. Government programs and high taxes have made it impossible for women who wish to stay home to do so.

And the assertion by Deeds that McDonnell is against Day Care for children is preposterous. McDonnell admits that there is a need for child care assistance because most women must work (for which he blames government policies). They have no choice. Yet these same necessary government programs shift us further away from the traditional two parent home. He is not advocating taking away child care, just concerned that these programs, in the long run, are hurting women and children more than they help.

One of McDonnell's previous campaigns was run by...a single mom. Hardly what Deeds and the Democrats claim. His daughter was a platoon leader in Iraq, while Deeds' son was busy getting popped for misdemeanor charges of minor in possession of alcohol.

While Deeds also attacks McDonnell on the issue of homosexuality, Nobody, not even the Washington ComPost, has asked Deeds about this flyer from his campaign in 1999, found at Crystal Clear Conservative.

How would you like, no matter what you've accomplished, to be judged solely on a paper or something else you did in college 20 years ago? Well, that's a convenient issue when you're Creigh "Dirty" Deeds, simply to hide from the voters how you'd like to raise taxes during a recession, and support items like crap & tax.

Don't be fooled. Behind the country boy image of Deeds is a tax & spend, metropolitan liberal in the vein of Barack Hussein Obama. And the Commonwealth of Virginia doesn't need that.
