9/12 Tea Party March & Rally in DC: Photos and Videos

Let me start by saying that, in the 40 years I've been on this Earth, I've always been proud of my country.

But what I saw today, September 12, 2009 in Washington DC not only reinforced that pride, it made me EVEN MORE PROUD of hundreds of thousands of my fellow countrymen and women who came to Washington DC to say the following to President Barack Hussein Obama, Nancy Pelosi, "Dingy" Harry Reid and the Democrat Socialist majority (let the photos tell the story)

On the march to the Capitol.
This above will give you and idea of how big the crowds were. And that was on the way to the Capitol.
A lot of support for Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina.

My day started out at the West Falls Church Metro station, and I knew from there it was going to be a big day. Getting off at Federal Triangle Metro stop.
I'm downloading and will post video later, so stay tuned!

Videos now downloaded and follow below:

Here's what it looked like, gathering in Freedom Plaza

The March to the Capitol, starting with shouts of "You Lie," followed by "We want our country back!

Steven Baldwin, the sane member of the Baldwin brothers, spoke:

As did Martha Zoller, talk radio host in Atlanta:

Here's some shot of the crowd, with audio over the loudspeakers telling of the start of the tea party movement.

This speaker reminded of how Obama said he would "call us out" the other night. Well, here we are, Mr. President!

This man lost his dealership as a result of the Obama takeover of two of the biggest American auto manufacturers.

Jonn from This Ain't Hell was there as well. I couldn't find him, or several of my fellow FReepers. Uncle Jimbo from Blackfive was there too.

Tea Parties were also held in other cities across the nation. I heard estimates when I was there that those of us in DC reached 1.5 million. Some are saying 350,000. Obama's progandists at ABC (All Barack Channel) are saying 60 - 70,000 (?). That is bogus. I've counterprotested the commie ANSWER rallies in San Francisco which were 70,000 and this was way bigger than that.

ABC: "YOU LIE!!!!"

The Washington ComPost is repeating the "tens of thousands" lie as well.

Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit, along with Andrew Breitbart and others spoke to 12,000 patriots in Quincy, IL.

I was there yesterday, and it was inspiring, awesome, and wonderful!!!! When my husband and I walked out of the metro, we were blown away! We stood and watched for at least 15 min. as thousands upon thousands marched past, smiling, cheering, waving flags,...we then joined and marched to the Capitol, where we listened with folks from all over our country- after three hours, we left to allow others closer access, and walked around D.C. taking in the sights. Flags were all still at half-mast, from the 9/11 memorials. We actually were approached by a young couple who were vacationing from Austria, who wanted to know what was going on...we explained and they wished us all luck, as they acknowledged that the U.S.'s healthcare was the best in the world- they said that Austria had both private and national healthcare. The national version took 16% of their wages, yearly, to pay for it....it was truly a wonderful and great day for the U.S.A. Note: We are just getting started with our protests and support for our country, and we will not be stopped!

Marooned,

I backtracked to your website via your post @ Michelle Malkin's blog.
I'm currently in Marin County and can empathize with your plight and agree with your blog bio.

Anyway, I wish I was there at the DC march/protest, I have been getting info on this and other current political news not from the astroturf MSM channels, but through like-minded ordinary people who aren't getting gov't $$ for their cause, but are upset with the level and degree this county has/is absconding the US Constitution and the principals that made this country great!

Forgive me for ranting...I'm fired up from watching this event on a c span replay from 2am to 4am.

FYI, I taped some of this (event speakers and crowd video/signs if you want it for your site. Let me know.

Mike

I was at Promise Keepers Stand in the Gap which was over a million MEN and this was way bigger that that event.

Let them lie to themselves and think we are few. Let them lie to themselves and think that we are weak. Let them lie to themselves and think that we will quit.

The truth will be known!

Obama is bad, but it's not a left vs right fight we're in. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAaQNACwaLw

Hey there --
Greetings from Manhattan... ... ... KANSAS!!! ;-)) Yeah, the *other* Manhattan! The home of K-State University (Go Wildcats!) and next-door neighbors to Fort Riley, Home of the Big Red ONE (1st Inf Div, US Army -- OO-RAH!!) ...

For the rest of you who were also there at the biggest and the greatest gathering of Conservatives ever held on planet Earth, I was the guy in the red "ICE COLD CONSERVATIVE" t-shirt, carrying the sign "To Uphold the Constitution... It's a PROMISE, REMEMBER?"

I *tried* to greet each and every one of you, I really *really* did, but alas, so many Patriots, so little time... ;-)) "Thousands and thousands" huh? More like "Thousands OF thousands"!!! *YOU* do the math! :-))

We are so fortunate to be Americans, and like everyone else who attended, along with those who *wished* they could, we are honored, we are inspired, we are humbled, and yes, we are damned *P*R*O*U*D* to be in the midst of something so historically important, and *FUN*, too!!

Mere words, nor even pictures and videos cannot convey the "feel" of the passing moment -- I still get chills, goosebumps and tears as I watch the clips, view the pics, and read the blogs & "After Action Reports"... It was absolutely *AWESOME*.

May God bless Glenn Beck, Thomas Paine/Bob Basso, all our *magnificent* ServiceMen & Women around the globe, Matt Kibbe, Dick Armey & all the selfless 9.12 Project organizers, and each and every American Patriot who invested their precious time and treasure, who put their Sacred Honor on the line, to attend and support all the 9.12 & Tea Party events, in DC and everywhere "from sea to shining sea", to give America, indeed the entire world, their response to the insanity that would pass itself off as Government -- By God, we are SILENT NO MORE...

Now, when the new President's sycophants and cheerleaders shout "Yes, we can!", We the People will ROAR by the MILLIONS: "OH, NO YOU WON'T!!!"

I cannot *wait* for 9-12-2010... :-)))
