Palin To Resign As Alaska Governor, Libs Still Pile On The Hate, HuffPost Attacks, Saying She'll "Run in '12 On More Retardation Platform"

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was going to announce she was not seeking a second term as Governor of Alaska, but shocked us all by saying she was resigning within weeks.

Some say things changed for me on August 29th last year – the day John McCain tapped me to be his running-mate – I say others changed.

Let me speak to that for a minute.

Political operatives descended on Alaska last August, digging for dirt. The ethics law I championed became their weapon of choice. Over the past nine months I've been accused of all sorts of frivolous ethics violations – such as holding a fish in a photograph, wearing a jacket with a logo on it, and answering reporters’ questions.

Every one – all 15 of the ethics complaints have been dismissed. We’ve won! But it hasn't been cheap - the State has wasted THOUSANDS of hours of YOUR time and shelled out some two million of YOUR dollars to respond to “opposition research” – that’s money NOT going to fund teachers or troopers – or safer roads. And this political absurdity, the “politics of personal destruction”Todd and I are looking at more than half a million dollars in legal bills in order to set the record straight. And what about the people who offer up these silly accusations? It doesn’t cost them a dime so they’re not going to stop draining public resources – spending other peoples’ money in their game.

It’s pretty insane – my staff and I spend most of our day dealing with THIS instead of progressing our state now. I know I promised no more “politics as usual,” but THIS isn’t what anyone had in mind for ALASKA.
In other words, this is the politics of personal destruction as played by liberal Democrats.

Lets name some names, like Linda Biegel. A Democrat operative who filed one of the frivolous ethics complaints against Palin. That wasn't enough for Biegel. That lard ass' next move was to post a touching photo of Gov. Palin and her down syndrome son, Trig, with Trig's face deformed as someone else.

Can you imagine the outrage if a conservative did something similar to the Obama children? David Letterman wouldn't dare joke about them. They're off limits (and should be). But it's open season on the children of conservatives.

The Huffington Post, an official arm of the Obama administration, published an article a few minutes ago on the resignation of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin with the following headline: Palin Will Run in '12 on More Retardation Platform

To make sure that the article's reference to Gov. Palin's infant son Trig who was born with Down Syndrome last year, the article is keyword tagged by the Huffington Post: ...Sarah Palin Trig; Trig; Comedy News

The article is authored by Erik Sean Nelson was posted at the Huffington Post at 6 p.m. EDT.

The text of the article:

In Sarah Palin's resignation announcement she complained about the treatment of her son Trig who always teaches her life lessons. She said that the "world needs more Trigs, not fewer."

That's a presidential campaign promise we can all get behind. She will be the first politician to actually try to increase the population of retarded people. To me, it's kinda like saying the world needs more cancer patients because they teach us such personal lessons.

Her first act as President: To introduce a Pre-K lunch buffet that includes lead paint chips. Sort of a Large HEAD-START Program.

She will then encourage women to hold off on pregnancies until their 40's just to mix up some chromosomes.

She now is in favor of abortion only in case of diploid birth.

Her policies will increase jobs because Wal-Mart is building new stores each day and someone has to be the greeter.

This will lead to smaller government because fewer Americans will have the cognitive ability to hold a government job.

Look, she says she's resigning as governor because people are making attacks on her and Trig. If she ever did become president, all Osama bin Laden would have to do to defeat the United States is Photoshop a picture of Trig and she'd surrender the country that night. As she said,

"That's not politics as usual." It isn't. Politicians don't usually quit for so stupid of reasons.

The Huffington Post was recently invited to the White House to ask a question of Barack Obama at a nationally televised press conference. The questioner, HuffPo National Editor Nico Pitney, asked a question on a pre-arranged topic of Obama. Pitney was trusted to do so because of his background as a Democratic party operative.

Hey Erik, do you usually make a living attacking young babies with down syndrome?

Notice Erik Nelson, like Linda Biegel, have a couple things in common. Fat and ugly. One or more of these traits were share by her liberal slanderers who prided themselves as so-called "feminists." Why the hate? Is it jealousy because she's an attractive woman who is sure of herself and has a family, while most of her attackers, like Biegel, couldn't get laid in morgue, even if they tried?

I think that's part of it, but there's also the knowledge that Palin's conservatism resonated with Americans. Because of that, the libs, the RINOs and the Country Club, cocktail party Republican elites feared her. She got bigger crowds than John McCain did, and I think it's fair to say she help him avoid getting blown out by a landslide in the 08 election. So while they cut her down, said she was a dumb hick from the backwoods of Alaska, they did it all out of fear, because (like Ronald Reagan) they saw Sarah Palin as the real deal.

The Obama Lapdog Media snobs are also getting their low blows in. Rick Sanchez of CNN asks if she's resigning because she's pregnant again. Andrea Mitchell is claiming Palin is leaving politics for good.

That's contrary to one FReeper who is hearing from sources:

Just spoke with people VERY well connected with Palin's DC operation.
Reports that she has announced to staff that she is permanently out of politics are NOT true.

Allahpundit at Hot Air writes that a Palin friend says she'll seriously consider running for President.

I think she will consider running, and this move was done to put the Lt. Governor in position to run for the seat next year. Additionally, she is able to get her plans together for a 2012 run and not have to concentrate on frivolous attacks about traveling outside of Alaska for functions.

At least I, like many, are hopeful.
UPDATE-8:14 p.m. Huffington Post took down the Erik Nelson article referenced above, not before I could get the screenshot.

Hi, I was struck my Palin's comment that one of the reasons that her family wanted her to resign was that Trig had been mocked by some pretty mean-spirited adults "recently." What did she mean by that? Obviously there have been some comments on Trig since her resignation speech, but what was she referring to? The Biegel photoshopped picture? She said "adults" -- plural-- so I was trying to figure out what she was talking about. Do you know?
