....Supported By Convicted Celebrity Murderers

My Pet Jawa (via Bookworm Room) found this photo of record producer (and newly convicted murderer) Phil Spector being led into court.

Check out his button, which his lawyers asked him to remove.

If you think I'm making this up, here's a photo of the button from the advertisement.

Jackoff Murtha Blows Up At Reporter When Asked About Investigation Into Defense Contractor

At a press conference yesterday, Congressman Jackoff Murtha blew up at a reporter who dared ask the modern day Benedict Arnold about a defense contractor currently under investigation by the Feds who has been a major campaign donor.

Video here starting at 1:52.

According to The Johnstown Tribune-Democrat, when asked about Kuchera Defense Systems, Murtha blurted out at the reporter:

“What’s that got to do with me?” Murtha shot back to a reporter’s question about the investigation.

“What do you think? Do you think I oversee these companies? That’s the Defense Department’s job. That’s not my job. You guys write these stories. You don’t have a clue what this is all about.”

Murtha would not answer a question about whether he would distance himself from Kuchera. The congressman cut the session off when asked if he had hired a lawyer.

“What kind of question is that?” Murtha fumed, leaving the Pasquerilla Conference Center, 301 Napoleon St.

Interestingly, the paper notes that the Chamber of Commerce added media restrictions following the questioning of al-Queda's favorite Congressman.

Video cameras on the main show floor at Cambria County War Memorial Arena were limited to one hour Thursday evening and Friday morning.

Press credentials were printed on yellow paper for easy identification.

A photographer from the Washington Post was escorted from the grounds and had her credentials revoked after she came into Thursday night’s private reception, said public relations manager Shawn Piatek of 1sTeam Advertising.

The crackdown did not sit well with all exhibitors. One local merchant complained that a business show is, by definition, a publicity event.

“They start off by saying, ‘We have nothing to hide,’ ” he said. “Then why do they have all these extra restrictions?”

That's liberal transparency, from the Party which is giving us the "most ethical Congress in history."

We'd Better Be Careful In How We Critque Sotomayor, Or Else!

That has been the latest "line of reason" (and I use that term loosely) making the rounds over the last few days in relation to opposition to the nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court

Those "Republicans" or "independent minded" who are saying it are becoming useful idiots of the Obama Administration and liberal Democrats in the Senate, in that they are repeating their propaganda against us.

I'll name a couple of names. RINO Senator from Texas, John Cornyn, Dick "the Toesucker" Morris and "Loofah Boy" himself, Bill O'Reilly, are some of these regurgitators of Obama's talking points against any hard conservative criticism of Judge Sotomayor.

I completely reject this line of thinking.

It seems since this administration has come into office, so many of these "Inside the Beltway" types have tried to tell us to shut up, go with the flow, don't rock the boat because we might anger this group or that group. Now, we have an appointee to the Supreme Court who is not only a judicial activist, she has made a racist statement and belongs to a racist, separatist organization called "La Raza" (translated means "the race").

According to RINOs, bringing up Sonia Sotomayor's membership in the racist La Raza could hurt the GOP (image found by Skye at MidnightBlue)

Now, can you imagine a white man being nominated to any court in America who once stated a white man can make better decisions than a black (or Hispanic) woman? What if Judge White belonged to a White Citizens Council which implied that the white race was superior in every form? Would Judge White make it out of committee? He'd last about as long as a ice cube in Hell.

So why the double standard? Any white person with a history of racism gets (deservedly) made accountable for his bigotry, however, when it comes to a Leftist like Judge Sotomayor who is a minority, why are we supposed to ignore her bigotry or that of other Leftists like say, Cruz Bustamante or Barack Obama? Shouldn't bigotry of all types be equally deplorable?

"Yes but you don't understand. We don't want to offeeeeeeend Hispanics." A RINO would reply. "We have to reach out to them better, as our efforts were hurt by you right-wingers protesting our 'comprehensive immigration reform' (aka: amnesty)."

If that's the line of thinking, then Ronald Reagan should have singlehandedly been the man who made the Republican Party the home of Hispanics, after signing the Simpson Mazzoli Amnesty Bill in 1986. That didn't "win hearts and minds." Neither will the RINO attempts to pander to the far-Left in going soft on Sotomayor.

This is what needs to happen. First, Republicans need to quit acting afraid of their own shadow evertime race is brought up. Second, when confronted by these liberals about being a "racist" for daring to oppose a Hispanic woman, throw it back in the face of liberals by accusing them of being the real racists.

Yes, that's what I said. The home of modern bigotry in America is the hearts of most liberal Democrats. When a conservative looks out across America, they see Americans. When liberals look across America, they look at people based on their color, ethnicity, gender or sexual preference and think "how can I make them dependent on me?"

Is it right to call Sotomayor a racist, as Rush Limbaugh and Newt Gingrich have? Based on her statements and membership in La Raza, yes! If Bill O'Reilly and GOP Eunuchs like John Cornyn don't like it they can take a hike! O'Reilly likes to smear on his TV show, and lecturing them about better monitoring their comments section (which I will note the blowhard is way out of line, the moderators at FR are quick to take down any offensive comments). Loofah Boy O'Reilly should talk, as Patterico's Pontifications found a "No Marriage For Homos" posting on his website, which has been up since May 23rd.

Same goes for liberal Democrats like Upchuck Schumer, the ambulance chaser. If that slime ball wants to call any Republican a "racist" for daring to oppose Sotomayor, say this to Schumer.

"Now, wait just one minute, Mr. Schumer. You just accused me of being a racist and I want to respond. I'm questioning Ms. Sotomayor's statements which are racially motivated as well as her judicial activism. We are not questioning either her gender or her ethnicity. And let the record show too, Mr. Schumer, that in 2001, a Republican President nominated a Hispanic male to serve on the DC Court of Appeals. Where were you and your party in supporting his nomination? This is a quote from a memo to your fellow Sen. Dick Durbin, written by the Democrat puppetmasters at People for the Un-American Way, NARAL and various other liberal groups. I quote: "They also identified Miguel Estrada (D.C. Circuit) as especially dangerous, because he has a minimal paper trail, he is Latino, and the White House seems to be grooming him for a Supreme Court appointment. They want to hold Estrada off as long as possible." "He is Latino," Mr. Schumer, and Judge Estrada's nomination was filibustered for so long he eventually withdrew his name, because you and your fellow Democrats opposed him in large part because of his ethnicity. So, before you or any other liberals call me or any other conservative a racist, you, members of your party, and those who pull your strings better take a long look in the mirror!"
This is not the time for "restraint" in opposing Judge Sotomayor. She must be held accountable for her judicial activism and her racism, which call into question her fitness to serve as a judge. How can justice be blind when a judge like her could harbor racial animosity?

Sotomayor's Legal Group Killed Nomination by Pres. Bush of Miguel Estrada

Remember Miguel Estrada?

He was a Honduran immigrant who became nominee for the DC District Court of Appeals by President George W. Bush. His nomination, however, was blocked by liberal Democrats vehemently, so much so that Estrada withdrew his nomination in 2003.

Besides the usual suspects (People for the Un-American Way, NARAL) who were the puppet masters of the Democrat senators, so was LatinoJustice PRLDEF. A former board member of that group was, yes, Obama's nominee for Supreme Court, Sonia Sotomayor, according to the American Spectator.

Showing their 180 degree turn, this same legal group, which is also funded by George Soros, supports Sotomayor.

Another double standard? UpChuck Schumer, the ambulance chaser from New York, is warning those of us on the right to be careful in opposing her.

Where was Chuck Schumer when Miguel Estrada was nominated by President Bush? Here's an excerpt from a National Review article.
"There's a lot we do not know about Miguel Estrada," Schumer said at the hearing--even though Schumer himself apparently knew enough to condemn the man, just a few days earlier in The Nation, as "a Stealth missile--with a nose cone--coming out of the right wing's deepest silo."

Never mind also how memos from these lib groups to these liberal Senators called Estrada "especially dangerous."

"Because he is a Latino."

Listen, Schumer, unlike you liberal racists, our opposition is based on the fact she is a judicial activist, and her racist, sexist comments are troubling as well.

But, liberals always find a way to rationalize their own bigotry. As Woody Allen said in Annie Hall, "I'm a bigot, but for the Left."

Florida TV News Shows Black Woman Slamming Obama For Not Helping Flood Victims, Praises Bush

Last week, a rainstorm which lasted for days struck Volusia County, Florida, where Daytona Beach is located. The record rainfall caused flooding, which caused tens of millions of dollars in damage.

And a week later, Barack Hussein Obama has not approved federal assistance for Volusia County.

Central Florida News 13 ran this video (link here) on their newscast of Florida RINO Governor Charlie Crist visiting the area. There was also the following interview with flood victim Shannon Jackson, a black woman living in the county (hat tip, Kristinn at FR), who said:
"Even, um...they had a lot to say about George Bush, but at least George Bush was on the scene during Hurricane Katrina when everything was going down, you know? So therefore if he wasn't going to declare a disaster area so we could get immediate action then he should at least come and show his face so he could see for himself what we're going through. Cuz we would like to see you after everybody campaigned for Obama and worked so hard to get Obama in the chair. You got to do something."

So isn't that something? Here is an area of Central Florida where a number of whites, as well as blacks, are suffering due to mother nature, and "That One" turns his back on them.

Keep in mind also, that Obama joined Democrats in their shameless playing of the race card against the Bush Administration for the Hurricane in New Orleans in 2005, even going as far as to predict riots similar to Los Angeles in 1992 on the Gulf Coast.
Democrat presidential hopeful Barack Obama said Tuesday that the Bush administration has done nothing to defuse a "quiet riot" among blacks that threatens to erupt just as riots in Los Angeles did 15 years ago.

The first-term Illinois senator said that with black people from New Orleans and the Gulf Coast still displaced 20 months after Hurricane Katrina, frustration and resentments are building explosively as they did before the 1992 riots.

"This administration was colorblind in its incompetence," Obama said at a conference of black clergy, "but the poverty and the hopelessness was there long before the hurricane."All the hurricane did was to pull the curtain back for all the world to see," he said.

Well, Mister Obama, now that you engaged in the typical liberal racial demogaugery in the past, what are you doing now that you're in charge?

"O.B.A.M.Nude" A Movie About A Coke Snorting, Dope Smoking College Student Who Makes Deal With Satan To Become President

A new movie, O.B.A.M.Nude, is opening this week at the Hoboken International Film Festival and is promising to be controversial (Gateway Pundit &

Trailer below:

Following the same career path as President Obama, "O.B.A.M. Nude," which stands for "Occidental Births a Monster," is an independent film that tells the story of a freshman named O.B.A.M. at Occidental College in Los Angeles. O.B.A.M. snorts cocaine and smokes marijuana and makes a deal with the devil in exchange for getting into Columbia University. O.B.A.M. becomes a community organizer in Chicago and attends Harvard Law School and ultimately is elected President of the United States.

Del Vecchio says the movie is meant to make people think and stir emotion.

"We wanted to expose Obama as man who is looking to turn our country in a socialist direction. My greatest concern about our president is that he wants government to control people's lives."
I'm sure Hollywood will do all they can to make sure this movie gets no distribution or Academy Award nominations.

Obama's Supreme Court Nominee: Judicial Activist, With A Pinch Of Racism & Sexism

So, the waiting is over, and Barack Hussein Obama has picked Sonia Sotomayor to fill the Supreme Court spot held by the retiring David Souter.

A blind person could have seen this nomination coming. Look at this video below (seen recently on the O'Reilly Factor, posted by Atlas Shrugs) to hear Judge Sotomayor talk about judicial activism.

"Court of Appeals is where policy is made. And I know, I know this is on tape and I know I shouldn't say that because we don't make law, I know."

Atlas also writes:
She has all the bells and whistles of a leftist candidate - Hispanic? Check! Female? Check! Compelling narrative that tugs at the heart? Check! Brain power? Irrelevant! The left doesn't like too much brains, too much reason and intellect. It confuses them.

The New York Times also writes the following:

In 2001, Sonia Sotomayor, an appeals court judge, gave a speech declaring that the ethnicity and sex of a judge “may and will make a difference in our judging.”

In her speech, Judge Sotomayor questioned the famous notion — often invoked by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her retired Supreme Court colleague, Sandra Day O’Connor — that a wise old man and a wise old woman would reach the same conclusion when deciding cases.

“I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life,” said Judge Sotomayor, who is now considered to be near the top of President Obama’s list of potential Supreme Court nominees.

Great! She hates Whitey too. No wonder Obama picked her, as she fits in to his worldview.

Other items of concern (noted on Michelle Malkin's blog) are how she has been chastised by other judges, and is known to be a "bully" who “does not have a very good temperament,” and who “abuses lawyers” with “inappropriate outbursts.”

Will the Senate GOP find their pair and fight this nomination, or will they just roll over?

Prop 8 Upheld In California

From SF Examiner:
The California Supreme Court upheld a constitutional amendment today banning same-sex marriage despite claims from gay marriage advocates that taking away such a fundamental right requires more than a simple majority at the ballot box.

On Feb. 12, 2004, Mayor Gavin Newsom defied the law and authorized the County Clerk to begin issuing marriage licenses to gay and lesbian couples. The decision was validated in May, 2008, when the California Supreme Court ruled that same-sex couples had a constitutional right to get married.

The landmark decision became a model across the nation where same-sex marriage issues have been decided through the courts. The California Supreme Court, for instance, was the first to consider sexual orientation as a protected class.

But the November passage of Proposition 8 by 52 percent of California voters overturned that decision. The state constitution now defines marriage as between a man and a woman.

I have to admit, this ruling is a surprise, as I thought the Supreme Ct of California would rule as they did before.

One wonders too if the radical homosexual community in California will go on the same rampage they did after Prop 8 was passed.

For Memorial Day, In Remebrance....

(M.I.M note - Originally written May 24, 2009, updated May 26, 2013)

Pictured below is my maternal grandmother, Melba with her husband, my grandfather, David Warren Wilds. I'm not sure of the date of the photo, 1942 perhaps. At the time I originally published this, I wasn't sure where the photo was taken. My aunt (his sister) told me it was taken in Southern California, while he began training as a cadet pilot in the Army Air Corps (precursor to the U.S. Air Force).

David (or "Chubby" as he was known to his friends and my grandmother), was born in 1920 in San Benito, TX and grew up in nearby Rio Hondo, a neighboring town across the Arroyo Colorado from Harlingen. He married my grandmother August 20, 1939 and he was the love of her life. His best friend, Paul McMurtry, was a Navy Cross recipient for heroism on the USS Nevada during the Pearl Harbor attack. "Chubby" enlisted in the AAC in February 1942, by August, he headed out for flight training to Southern California, first, for primary training at Ryan Field in Hemet, CA, then to Minter Airfield, which was located in Shafter, CA, near Bakersfield.

Beginning with primary trainers at Ryan, such as the PT-22 Recruit, he graduated to basic trainers at Minter, like the BT-13 Valiant (or "vibrator," as it was nicknamed by the pilots due to how it vibrated in flight). In one of his last letters to my grandmother, he wrote about a rough landing on a muddy airfield which splattered mud inside the cockpit and onto his goggles.

BT-13A Valiant, assigned to Minter Airfield.

Minter, known originally as Lerdo Field (due to the highway nearby), was one of the largest training facilities on the West Coast. Where my grandfather would have gone to next was anyone's guess, as pilots were trained for fighting fighters as well as bombers. My grandmother did mention to me one time that his squadron ended up being assigned to the Pacific, where they flew P-38 Lightning fighter planes.

On February 28, 1943, David was on a training flight in a BT-13A, Bu. No. 41-10428 when fog obscured his destination, Poso Airfield (one of Minter's auxiliary fields near Bakersfield) and he crashed one mile northeast of the field. Had this fatal accident not occurred, he would have received a commission as Second Lieutenant after two more months of training. Back in Texas, my grandmother, who was about two months pregnant with my mother, was on a shopping trip to McAllen when word arrived with her parents about the fatal crash that killed her husband. My great-grandfather took a bus to McAllen, to find her and bring her the heartbreaking news that the husband she loved with all her heart was gone.

Condolence Letter from Gen. George C. Marshall

Among the heroes we remember on Memorial Day, I also remember my grandfather, a man I never knew but felt his presence though my grandmother, his mother, brother, sister, and also his best friend and fellow veteran.
To all who have given their lives while in the service of our military, thank you, for your sacrifice and your service. We will never forget you.

Colin Powell, The Guy Who Can't Shut Up, Will Mouth Off Tomorrow On "Face The Nation"

I noticed this Washington ComPost story (via Jonn at This Ain't Hell) that Colin Powell is planning to hit the airwaves tomorrow and tell the GOP why we should be more like Democrats.

Colin Powell "gettin' hip"

Under intense fire from the right, former secretary of state Colin L. Powell is preparing to answer his Republican critics this weekend in a television appearance that is likely to add fuel to his long-standing feud with top conservatives in his party.

The appearance will come just days after Powell, one of the country's leading black political figures, told an audience in Boston that a new Republican Party is "waiting to emerge." Earlier this month, he said the party is in "deep trouble" because "Americans are looking for more government in their life, not less."

Why should I, or any other conservative, pay attention to a guy who is so out of touch with a majority of Americans he doesn't know what the Hell he's talking about? Did Powell not see the voter revolt in the bluest of Blue States, Cal-ee-fornia, last week? Where was Colin when the tea parties were happening? That's proof most Americans don't want more government. But Powell, David Frum, Peggy Noonan, Kathleen Parker are too busy trying to cozy up with liberal elites who look down their noses at us "hicks" and "unsophisticated" types at our "temper tantrums."

Look also at how the California GOP is virtually non-existent, because they've followed the Powell Doctrine on (losing) elections and pissing off the electorate since the mid-1990s.

For all his friendship with John McLame, who was the perfect Powell Doctrine candidate, he didn't mind giving McLame the stab in the back. Maybe Powell was still smarting over the racist insult from the angry Harry Belafonte about being a house slave, he figured he needed to make amends and get behind the historic opportunity to promote and elect the first black President.

Why else is Powell being brought out for an appearance on the liberal See BS Sunday show? I think Obama Administration and their in-the-tank liberal media are using him for propaganda purposes. Dick Cheney's on-the-mark criticisms of Obama's soft-on-terror policies sting, and Powell's criticism is a distraction from the prudent warnings Cheney is sounding, taking the focus off Obama and Democrat treason and on Cheney, Rush Limbaugh and others.

Look, when it comes to Colin Powell's service to this nation as a member of the US Army, I salute and thank him for his service. But when it comes to politics, his formula for the GOP is a proven loser, and he can go pound sand.

Obama's Double Speak At National Archives Speech Yesterday

Barack Hussein Obama said during his speech yesterday at the National Archives.

"I have no interest in spending our time re-litigating the policies of the last eight years. I want to solve these problems, and I want to solve them together as Americans."

Yet Mr. Obama blasted the Bush Administration 28 times during his 50 minute speech.

Liberal doublespeak, or maybe the teleprompter malfunctioned.

Pelosi Repeats Slander of CIA, Doesn't Want To Be Called On Her "Culture Of Corrpution"

I caught the tail end of it as I was heading out of the dentist's office, but House Speaker "Do Nothing" Nancy Pelosi repeated her slander of the CIA, which she stated last week (FOX News).

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Friday she stood by her statement last week in which she accused the CIA of lying to Congress about Bush-era interrogation methods, but then refused to make any more remarks on the topic.

..."I have made the statement that I'm going to make on this. I don't have any more to say on this," she said at her weekly news conference. "I stand by my comments.
And what we are doing is staying on our course and not being distracted from

Pelosi brought backup with her: House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., and other members of the Democratic leadership flanked her but none of them dared touch the CIA controversy. Instead they took turns talking about every issue under the sun -- the economy, health care, energy policy, credit cards -- except Pelosi's allegations.

The National Republican Congressional Committee, the panel tasked with getting party members elected to the House, immediately slammed Pelosi.

"Speaker Pelosi stammered and filibustered around the elephant in the room because she knows full well that she has become a political liability to her fellow Democrats in Congress," NRCC spokesman Ken Spain said in a statement.

"Her obsession with the previous administration and her disdain for America's intelligence officials has reduced her to cheerleader status within the far left wing of her party and a distraction to the substantive debate over how to best move our economy forward," he added.

Oh yes, we remember this well from Bill Clinton. This game Pelosi is playing of "don't call me on my corruption and distract us from our job of putting America on the fast track to socialism." As like the Clinton years, she has and entire party that will goosestep right behind to protect her. Just like the did yesterday, defeating a Republican call to investigate her claims.

This is a Speaker of the House who came to power pointing her crooked little finger at Republicans, screaming "culture of corruption," promising the "most ethical Congress in history." Yesterday's vote of Democrats protecting their own culture of corruption was nothing new. Pelosi won't do anything about the corrupt Charlie Rangel. The Democrats also voted down any investigation into the PMA Group and their ties to Congressmen Jackoff Murtha and Jim Moron, among others.

At the very least, it is the ultimate of hypocrisies. When it comes to slandering those who honorably serve this country just to save her pathetic botoxed ass, it is risky business that endangers the security of this nation and it's citizens.

By repeating this assertion, one week after she made a lame attempt to take it back, Pelosi has shown once again the utter contempt she has for members of our military and intelligence community. In doing so, the Democrat Party's defense of her also shows the same contempt, as well has how much they don't give a damn about the security of our nation, only when it is convenient for a photo op.

"The Dark Pelosi"

Comedian Steven Crowder mocks the liar, Nancy Pelosi.

Caution. Liberals or RINOs (John McLame or Lindsey Grahamnesty) who think waterboarding is torture will be offended at the ending.

Dick Cheney's Speech Today

In case you missed it, here is the entire speech by former Vice President Dick Cheney at the American Enterprise Institute.

Part I

Part II

Part III

Part IV

Transcript of speech is here.

Excerpts which stuck out.

On numerous occasions, leading members of Congress, including the current speaker of the House, were briefed on the program and on the methods. Yet for all these exacting efforts to do a hard and necessary job and to do it right, we hear from some quarters nothing but feigned outrage based on a false narrative. In my long experience in Washington, few matters have inspired so much contrived indignation and phony moralizing as the interrogation methods applied to a few captured terrorists.

I might add that people who consistently distort the truth in this way are in no position to lecture anyone about "values." Intelligence officers of the United States were not trying to rough up some terrorists simply to avenge the dead of 9/11. We know the difference in this country between justice and vengeance. ..From the beginning of the program, there was only one focused and all-important purpose. We sought, and we in fact obtained, specific information on terrorist plans.

Those are the basic facts on enhanced interrogations. And to call this a program of torture is to libel the dedicated professionals who have saved American lives, and to cast terrorists and murderers as innocent ictims. What's more, to completely rule out enhanced interrogation methods
in the future is unwise in the extreme. It is recklessness cloaked in righteousness, and would make the American people less safe.

The administration seems to pride itself on searching for some kind of middle ground in policies addressing terrorism. ... But in the fight against terrorism, there is no middle ground, and half-measures keep you half exposed. You cannot keep just some nuclear-armed terrorists out of the United States, you must keep every nuclear-armed terrorist out of the United States. Triangulation is a political strategy, not a national security strategy.

...Another term out there that slipped into the discussion is the notion that American interrogation practices were a "recruitment tool" for the enemy. On this theory, by the tough questioning of killers, we have supposedly fallen short of our own values. This recruitment-tool theory has become something of a mantra lately, including from the President himself. And after a familiar fashion, it excuses the violent and blames America for the evil that others do. It's another version of that same old refrain from the Left, "We brought it on ourselves."

...If Americans do get the chance to learn what our country was spared, it'll do more than clarify the urgency and the rightness of enhanced interrogations in the years after 9/11. It may help us to stay focused on dangers that have not gone away. Instead of idly debating which political opponents to prosecute and punish, our attention will return to where it belongs--on the continuing threat of terrorist violence, and on stopping the men who are planning it.

...After the most lethal and devastating terrorist attack ever, seven and a half years without a repeat is not a record to be rebuked and scorned, much less criminalized. It is a record to be continued until the danger has passed.

Jihadist Plot Against Brooklyn Synagogue & Air Nat'l Guard Planes Is Foiled

Late last night, the FBI broke up a terror cell in Newburgh, NY and arrested four Muslims who were planning an attack on a Riverdale NY synagogue, as well as shooting down military airplanes at Stewart Air National Guard base (AP from Yahoo News).
The men had planned to detonate a car with plastic explosives outside a temple in the Bronx neighborhood of Riverdale and to shoot military planes at the New York Air National Guard base at Stewart Airport in Newburgh with Stinger surface-to-air guided missiles, authorities said. The defendants planned to "destroy a synagogue and a Jewish community center with C-4 plastic explosives," Acting U.S. Attorney Lev L. Dassin said.

The religious targets were the Riverdale Temple, founded in 1947, and the Riverdale Jewish Center, authorities said.

...The defendants, in their efforts to acquire weapons, dealt with an informant acting under law enforcement supervision, authorities said. The FBI and other agencies monitored the men and provided an inactive missile and inert C-4 to the informant for the defendants, a federal complaint said.

In June 2008, the informant met Cromitie in Newburgh and Cromitie complained that his parents had lived in Afghanistan and he was upset about the war there and that many Muslim people were being killed in Afghanistan and Pakistan by U.S. military forces, officials said.

Cromitie also expressed an interest in doing "something to America," they said in the complaint.

Key point AP ignores in the story, the four arrested were Muslims. They probably didn't want to offend CAIR.

Atlas Shrugs has a full report here from various sources in the New York area. The names of the suspects (left out of the AP article) are JAMES CROMITIE, a/k/a "Abdul Rahman," a/k/a "Abdul Rehman," DAVID WILLIAMS, a/k/a "Daoud," a/k/a "DL," ONTA WILLIAMS, a/k/a "Hamza," and LAGUERRE PAYEN, a/k/a "Amin," a/k/a "Almondo."

The New York Post reports that Cromitie said of the synagogue:
"I hate those motherf**kers, those f**king Jewish bastards . . . I would like to get a synagogue," Cromitie told an informant, according to a criminal complaint. The alleged terrorists' hatred also included the US military.

After bombing the temples, the men planned to split up and head to the New York Air National Guard Base at Stewart Airport in their hometown and shoot down a plane with a weapon they believed was a Stinger surface-to-air guided missile, sources said.

"They [the United States military] are killing Muslim brothers and sisters in Muslim countries, so if we kill them here [in the United States] with IEDs [improvised explosive devices] and Stingers, it is equal," one of the busted men, Onta Williams, allegedly told the informant.
Three of the suspects were jailhouse converts to Islam. That fact is notable, as this current administration and others (notably Congressman Jim Moron of Alexandria) have foolhardily considered putting the Gitmo detainees in US prisons, which would create more converts to Jihad.

California Tax Revolt--Pay Attention RINOs, No One Wants Big Government

All RINOs, liberals, career legislators and liberal media types should pay attention to California, as an earthquake of massive proportion happened last night.

All of the five propositions calling for higher taxes to solve the state's budget shortfall fell to huge defeats, in every single county (even the most liberal ones).

The Business Insider, via Yahoo Finance, writes:
Prop 1A would have capped state spending, kept in place a tax hike for two years, while also establishing a so-called rainy day fund. That was the big one and it went down 65%-35%.

The one measure which did pass, comfortably: A rule limiting pay hikes for state politicians.

So now the onus is back on the legislature and the Governor to close the deficit, which stands at $21 billion. It's going to be brutal. The only real areas to get those kind of savings are in core services like education, prisons, health. You know, the big things.

Any affected group will cry bloody murder, no matter what's done. There's been some chatter that perhaps the negotiations could be easy, since the government has few options. We doubt it, though. The state would rather play chicken with Washington, DC and get its bailout, rather than make cuts in education and prison spending. In fact, it might just rather default.

Like Rush Limbaugh was talking about today, I think that will be the next move, is that Schwarzenkennedy will visit his new pal Obama and beg for a bailout, since everyone else these days seems to be.

The problem in California is the virtual one-party system running the state, enabled by the liberal RINO Governor Arnold Schwarzenkennedy. There is no Republican party in California for all practical purposes. Since the days of Pete Wilson, the California GOP has become a party of eunuchs, afraid to stand for anything resembling conservatism. The California GOP is proof that the more moderate approach (favored by Colon Powell, David Frum, Arlen Sphincter, et al) is a loser.

Local reaction in the Bay Area from Melanie Morgan, who writes "Tea Party Movement in California Successful."
If these politically tone deaf pols don't get it - let us spell out the message once more.

Californians want TAX CUTS - not TAX INCREASES.

We want our leaders to cut jobs, tighten expenses and act just like we do when our finances are stretched thin from unforeseen circumstances.

This vote is the result of seething anger and long-simmering resentment which was manifested last month during the Tea Party outbreaks across the state.

If the legislature doesn't deal with the spending problem after the resounding defeat of these propositions, I can guarantee that the voter backlash will escalate beyond just electoral outrage.

In other words, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Typical big liberal media arrogance is seen at the LA Slimes: "California voters exercise their power -- and that's the problem:"
The results Tuesday fit Californians' long-standing pattern of demanding what is ultimately irreconcilable, all the more so in an economic downturn: lower taxes and higher spending.

"We all want a free lunch, but unfortunately that doesn't exist," said former Gov. (Red) Davis, whose 2003 recall stemmed largely from a budget crisis brought on by the dot-com bust. For decades, Davis said, Californians have been "papering over this fundamental reality that the state has been living beyond its means."

Davis and many other elected officials bear some responsibility for that. But so do voters.

In the Proposition 13 tax rebellion of 1978, Californians voted to require a two-thirds approval by the Legislature to raise taxes, a major obstacle to budget agreements. Over the last couple of decades, voters have also passed a patchwork of ballot measures directing billions of dollars to favorite causes, among them public schools and transportation projects.

Typical liberal arrogance. How dare the citizenry have a voice!

And wait for the tea parties to come again in the fall.

Senate Blocks Funding For Gitmo Closure, Report Shows 1 in 7 Released Detainees Return to Jihad

The US Senate said "not so fast" to the plans for Barack Hussein Obama's plans to close Club Gitmo by blocking funds for the closure (Yahoo news).
Democrats lined up with Republicans in the 90-6 vote that came on the heels of a similar move a week ago in the House, underscoring widespread apprehension among Obama's congressional allies over voters' strong feelings about bringing detainees to the U.S. from the prison in Cuba.

Obama has vowed to close the prison by January 2010, and the Senate's vote was not the final word on the matter. It will be next month at the earliest before Congress completes work on the legislation, giving the White House time pursue a compromise that would allow the president to fulfill his pledge.

...But Obama's maneuvering room was further constrained during the day when FBI Director Robert Mueller told a congressional panel that he had concerns about bringing Guantanamo Bay detainees to prisons in the United States. Among the risks is "the potential for individuals undertaking attacks in the United States," said Mueller, who was appointed by President George W. Bush in 2001 and is serving a 10-year fixed term in office.

Additionally, U.S. District Judge John Bates ruled this week that some prisoners — but not all — can be held indefinitely at Guantanamo without being charged, thus increasing the pressure on the administration to develop a plan for the men held there.

The six who sided with the terrorists included Dick "Gitmo guards are Nazis" Durbin, Patrick "Leaky" Leahy, Carl Levin, the phony fighter pilot Tom Harkin and Rhode Islands two Senators (Reed & Whitehouse).

To further illustrate the danger of bringing these terrorists to our shores, Sweetness & Light points to a Pentagon report showing one in seven of the detainees who have been released from Gitmo have returned to Jihad.

Dumbass Alec Baldwin: "I'm Thinking About Getting a Filipino Mail-Order Bride," Angers Phillipine Senator

Father of the Year never-will-be Alec Baldwin should receive this year's Dumbass Award.

A week ago, on David Letterman's show, he said the following, when asked if he'd like to have more children.

"I'm thinking about getting a Filipino mail-order bride at this point...or a Russian one."

People in the Phillipines, especially Philippine Sen. Ramon Revilla are rightfully angered (FOX News).
...Revilla said Monday that Baldwin's comment was "insensitive and uncalled for" and an insult to millions of Filipinos.

He called the actor is "arrogant" and said he is apparently unaware that the Philippines has a law against mail-order brides.

"Let him try to come here in the Philippines and he'll see mayhem," Revilla said, using a local idiom that implies the speaker will personally administer a beating.

After hearing the way he talked to his daughter, I'd love to see that smackdown.

The liberals at the Huffington Toast (where Baldwin occasionally gets out his crayon and writes an occasional diatribe against conservatives) are defending this Hollywood idiot for a racist comment that, if he'd been a conservative, they'd be crucifying him over.

Obama's Two Radical Friends Join Forces To March Against Israel

Over the weekend, the racist Rev. Jeremiah ("G*d damn America") Wright and unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers, two Chicago pals of President Barack Hussein Obama, marched for "peace" (Gateway Pundit, via Chicago Tribune).
The day before President Barack Obama was to meet with Israel’s prime minister,
community activists, clergy and residents marched through Oak Park on Sunday to
call for a just solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

And they were led in their efforts by a politically provocative pair from Chicago: Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. and William Ayers.

The two men shared the stage for one of the first times at First United Church of Oak Park during a forum before the annual walk.

They urged a rethinking of the Mideast conflict, a shift in perspective that’s not unlike the view espoused by Obama...

Ayers also told the Tribune (found at ChicagoIST):

Ayers recalled feeling “support and solidarity” with Wright when he became a lightning rod during the presidential contest. Though he blasted the guilt by association, Ayers also poked fun at the “terrorist” label assigned to him and that of a “fiery preacher” given to Wright.

Organizers with the Committee for a Just Peace in Israel and Palestine said the two men, along with a Jewish activist and an Arab attorney, were invited for their work on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, not their political notoriety. They did, though, draw a crowd of more than 400 that filled the church.

For some background of the Committee for a Just Peace in Israel and Palestine, check out their website.
Among their past events was a screening of Jimmy Carter, Man From Plains, as well as an October 18, 2008 discussion called "The Israel Lobby" and the 2008 elections by John Mearsheimer (see lower left corner).
Mearsheimer co-wrote a book "The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy" with Harvard Professor Stephen Walt, which Harvard University removed their logo from in 2006 (NY Sun).
Harvard's Kennedy School of Government is removing its logo from a paper about the "Israel lobby" that was co-authored by its academic dean.

...The changes appear to be a sign that the university is distancing itself from the document in the face of a furor from faculty members, Jewish leaders, and a congressman who say it fails to meet academic standards and promotes anti-Semitic myths.

The paper, "The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy," was written by the Kennedy School's Stephen Walt and a political science professor and the codirector of the Program on International Security Policy at the University of Chicago, John Mearsheimer, and published by the Kennedy School.

In the 83-page "working paper," the professors allege that a vast network of journalists, think tanks, lobbyists, and largely Jewish officials have seized the foreign policy debate and manipulated America to invade Iraq.

Components of or influenced by the purported network include major publications, "Christian evangelicals," top-ranking officials in the Bush administration, and scholars at prominent think tanks. The paper has won praise from Islamist groups and white supremacist and anti Semite David Duke.

The NY Sun also reported in 2007 that the Obama Campaign pulled ads on which appeared on the Web page for "Israel Lobby."

Is it any wonder that David Duke is looked at with favor among the anti-Israel left?

Dem Senator Jim Webb Says "No" To Uighur Release In Virginia, While Aide To Part-Time VA Gov Evades The Issue

Democrat Senator from Virginia Jim Webb actually had a moment of sanity yesterday when appearing on This Week with "Curious" George Steponallofus he opposed the release of Uighurs who have been held at Gitmo into the DC suburbs of Virginia (from Stop the ACLU) .

Webb makes a point that needs to be repeated consistently until it gets through some thick skulls. The point we should concentrate on is how we are to process these detainees, not just shutting down Gitmo and figuring out the important details later. That would be a foolish jump bound to have countless consequences we will regret. Let’s figure things out first, instead of cleaning up a bigger mess later. ....….and yes we know this is a flip-flop for Webb.

Counterterrorism Blog has more background on the Uighurs.
The Gitmo group were mostly nabbed fleeing a TIP terror training camp in eastern Afghanistan during the U.S. invasion following 9/11. Their defense lawyers insist the detainees have gotten the "terrorist" rap by the Communist Chinese government, which oppresses Uyghurs.

But we reported in The News today that the TIP, who ran the Afghan camp, released a jihad video last month in which they praised Al Qaeda-in-Iraq and the Uyghurs' former Afghan hosts, the Taliban. The video was released through an Al Qaeda-affiliated Web site, Al-Fajr, and includes clips showing "mujahadeen brothers" blowing up U.S. military Humvees. The Uyghur jihadis "will cause China to experience what America experienced in Iraq and in Afghanistan," a narrator promises, according to a SITE Intelligence Group translation.
In response to a personal inquiry on this issue, an aide to part-time Virginia Governor (and DNC Chair) Tim Kaine sent a personal letter to this writer, stating that the Uighur release (which the Aide to the Governor's letter mistakenly stated as the "closing of the Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp") was a "decision at the federal level." No firm stand on opposing the release of these al-Queda trained terrorists into the Commonwealth was taken by the governor through his aide, only assurance that he would "follow the issue closely" to determine impact on Federal facilities and communities.

Lack of leadership. But what else should we expect of Gov. Tim Kaine? He doesn't want taking care of his constituents to get in the way of his climb up the Party ladder.

"Cap & Trade" Debate Begins on The Hill, Consumers To Pay $1,300 For New Auto MPG Standards, & DC Area Will Have Lows In Upper 30s Tonight

Gateway Pundit wrote earlier today that the libs in Congress are beginning debates on the "Cap and Trade" bill which is just a big tax meant to control carbon emissions and combat glo-BULL warming.

This while President and American Auto Company Executuive Barack Obama is planning to issue sweeping changes in automobile standards that you and I will pay for (AP via Yahoo news).
WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama plans to propose the first-ever national emission limits for cars and trucks as well as average mileage requirements of 35.5 miles per gallon by 2016 — all costing consumers an extra $1,300 per vehicle. Obama's plan couples for the first time pollution reduction from vehicle tailpipes with increased efficiency on the road. It would save 1.8 billion barrels of oil through 2016 and would be the environmental equivalent to taking 177 million cars off the road, senior administration officials said Monday night.
Meanwhile, as the hot air grows and our freedom evaporates due to the man-made liberal fearmongering known as glo-BULL warming, the DC Metro Area will see overnight lows in the upper 30 degree range.

in mid-May!

Even the hot-tub liberals in my old stomping grounds of Marin County, CA aren't too enthusiastic about so-called "green" energy. Bookworm Room writes that three Marin towns are not taking part in a "green energy" venture called the Marin Clean Energy Authority.

And the Far Left Marin IJ, in a rare moment of sanity, agrees with the dissenting towns.

Obama Interrupted At Notre Dame Three Times: Baby Cries When "That One" Talks About Abortion

At least three times today, (see updates below) Barack Hussein Obama, the most pro-abortion person ever to be elected President, has been interrupted by hecklers during the commencement address at Notre Dame University.

Several protesters, including Alan Keyes and Norma McCorvey, the "Jane Roe" from the Roe v Wade case which legalized abortion on demand, have been arrested in the last few days for protesting the speech.

Gateway Pundit has video and writes that Obama's degree says:

"At the 164th Commencement

The May Exercises The University of Notre Dame Confers the degree of

Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, on the 44th president of the United States, whose historic election opened a new era of hope in a country long divided by its history of slavery and racism. A community organizer who honed his advocacy for the poor, the marginalized and the worker in the streets of Chicago, he now organizes a larger community, bringing to the world stage a renewed American dedication to diplomacy and dialogue with all nations and religions committed to human rights and the global common good. Through his willingness to engage with those who disagree with him and encourage people of faith to bring their beliefs to the public debate, he is inspiring this nation to heal its divisions of religion, culture, race and politics in the audacious hope for a brighter tomorrow.
On Barack H. Obama, Washington, District of Columbia"
Obama currently speaks on finding common ground. Tell that to a guy who has spent the last few months demonizing his opponents. Interesting to note that when he started talking about abortion, a baby started to cry.

3:40 p.m. EDT - Speech over. ND president (?) drools about how Obama is "great orator...but today we saw your warmth." Credits Obama for talking to those whom he disagrees with.

Right! Tell that to Rush Limbaugh, Rick Santelli, the Tea Party attendees and a host of other people who Obama and or members of his administration have demonized and insulted.

That is, when he's not dismissing us with his arrogant "I won" argument.

UPDATE: Three times "That One" was interrupted (

NOTRE DAME — Shortly into President Obama’s commencement speech Sunday afternoon at the University of Notre Dame, three people were escorted out of the Joyce Center. The first two people briefly interrupted Obama’s speech.

The first man began shouting “You owe an apology to the Mother of God.”

A second man, from near the back of the Joyce Center, shouted, “Abortion is murder.”

The two men were loudly booed by the crowd as they were being removed by security staff.

In response to the verbal protests, Obama said, “We’re alright. We’re fine everybody. We are not going to shy away from things that are uncomfortable sometimes.”

As Obama continued with his speech, a few minutes later a third man was removed from the crowd.

He was shouting “Stop killing our children.”

Gore Lies Again, Saying He Waited Two Years To Attack Bush

Glo-BULL Warming High Priest Algore shares the same uncomfortable relationship with the truth that Nancy Pelosi has.

Taking aim at a great American, former Vice President Dick Cheney, Gore told CNN (Politico)
“I waited two years after I left office to make statements that were critical,” Gore said during an interview on CNN, pointing out that his critiques were focused on “policy.”

Is that right. Weekly Standard points out that:

Contra Costa Times, 1/10/02: "While praising President Bush for his leadership in the war effort, he went on to say that the economy was another matter. 'I'm not here to make a political speech, but I am concerned,' Gore said."

Boston Globe, 4/14/2002: "'They are wrong to vilify honorable men and women who oppose their right-wing domestic agenda and oppose a blatantly dishonest budget,' Gore said. 'They are wrong to imply that those who stand up to them are somehow unpatriotic.'" (Headline -- "Combative Gore Lashes Out At Administration Policies In Fla. Speech, He Hits Bush For 'Radical Agenda'") [Note: So much for his assertion today that his early criticism of the Bush Administration focused on policy.]

USA Today, 4/15/2002: "Gore's speech was the emotional peak of the convention. With practiced skill, humor and a passion some delegates said they did not see during the campaign, Gore denounced virtually every element of Bush's domestic policy." (Headline -- "Gore's fiery speech raises questions of plans")

NY Times, 4/23/2002: "Sounding very much like the candidate he was and may become again, Al Gore said today that the environment was a moral issue and the Bush administration was giving 'policy payoffs to polluters.' 'Our environment is under siege,' Mr. Gore , the former vice president, said in an Earth Day speech here to 400 students at Vanderbilt University. 'The Bush administration has chosen to serve the special interests instead of the public interests and subsidize the obsolete failed approaches of the past instead of the exciting new solutions of the future. Instead of ensuring that our water is clean to drink, they thought that maybe there wasn't enough arsenic in the drinking water.'"

LA Times, 6/30/2002: "In a speech Saturday night to local Democrats, Gore attacked Bush's economic policies as "a total catastrophe." He also noted that in the war on terrorism, the U.S. has yet to catch Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, and he denounced the White House for "trying to use the war for political purposes.'" [I guess that's just more pure criticism of policy ... .]

And get this nugget, from Opinion Journal on September 10, 2001, the day before 9/11 and almost eight months (not two years) after President Bush took office.
Al Gore "is test-driving a sharp-tongued attack on President Bush in small gatherings," U.S. News & World Report says:

"Issues he is focusing on are Bush's economic stewardship, foreign policy, and the environment. He has been both sharp and sharp-tongued," a friend tells us. So far he's trotted the speech before backers in San Francisco, D.C., New York, and Minneapolis. And he likes the reaction. Gore plans to go public with his assault September 28 at Iowa's Jefferson-Jackson Day dinner.

U.S. News quotes a Gore "pal" as saying the erstwhile veep hasn't yet made up his mind about a 2004 presidential run: "First we have to see if anyone wants him to run." If Gore does run, he'll likely face a crowded field, including North Carolina's Sen. John Edwards. The New York Post's Page Six reports Edwards has been calling Bill Clinton "at least once a week" seeking the ex-president's help in fund-raising for his presidential campaign.

Al, CNN won't tell you, but you're full of it. You didn't wait two years! You're a lying sack of crap! Neither was your criticism focused on policy, it was insane, lunatic rantings at the top of your lungs like the spoiled rotten kid you are.

But what else are we to expect from you, Al? You're a liar and you've made millions of dollars as a snake oil salesman "playing on our fears" (as you accused President Bush in your insane rant) about the lie known as glo-BULL warming.

Hey Al, just shut the hell up and go home!

It's Time For Nancy To Go!

The lie grows some more this evening, as "Do Nothing"Nancy Pelosi now says she didn't mean the CIA misled her, it was the Bush Administration!

From The Politico:
Rebuffed by the Democratic head of the CIA and left hanging by a Democratic White House, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi backpedaled Friday on her claims that the CIA lied to her about water-boarding. Pelosi issued a statement late Friday shifting her criticism to the Bush administration – hours after CIA Director Leon Panetta defended his agency against Pelosi’s charges.

“My criticism of the manner in which the Bush administration did not appropriately inform Congress is separate from my respect for those in the intelligence community who work to keep our country safe,” Pelosi said in a statement late Friday.

But she didn’t back off her central claim, that she wasn’t informed about the use of water-boarding against a key terror suspect in September 2002.

So we have a lie on top of a lie, just because she was cuaght with her fingers in the cookie jar.

Newt Gingrich even blatsed Pelosi today (Gateway Pundit), calling her partisan stunt "the most despicable, dishonest and vicious political effort I've seen in my lifetime." Newt is even now calling for Pelosi to resign.

I agree, it's time for her to go!

Flashback to February 2002. Nancy Pelosi said:
"We Democrats stand shoulder to shoulder with the President. As generations of Americans have before us, we will pay any price and bear any burden to keep our country secure."

Were you lying then, Ms Pelosi? I'm assuming you were, as you just waited for the right time to politically oppose the president on the most important issue which should not divide Americans--National Security.

Take a hike, you treasonous, boxtoxed, bug-eyed.....!

Nancy Lies Again! Blames CIA For Her Not Telling The Truth

Let me see. First, "Do Nothing" Nancy Pelosi said she was not briefed on waterboarding.

Then she was told that was an option.

A few days later, she says she was told by the CIA they could legally do that.

Then her aide told her, but she couldn't do anything in 2003 because it was not appropriate at the time.

Then today, she says the CIA and the Bush Administration misled her.

What is that? Five different stories from a Speaker of the House who promised "honest government" and "the most ethical Congress in history?" Or was that a lie too, Nancy?

A week ago, proof was released showing Pelosi was told that the al-Queda scum was waterboarded and that she was in on the briefing. As a result of being confronted with the truth, Pelosi has become as hysterical as.....Lois Einhorn (video below).

If anyone had any doubt about how Nancy Pelosi feels about those who are sworn to protect and defend this nation, she showed it today. She, like all liberals, has contempt for the CIA, and obviously believes all the crap the Left has spread about them since the 1960s. She hates the military, except when she treats the Air Force like her private, taxpayer funded airline to fly her around like the Queen Bee. Why should she care about security? She doesn't have to go through a metal detector or wonder about the other passengers. Like other liberals, she lives in her protected bubble from the rest of us common folk whom they don't want to see, let alone smell (ask Harry Reid).

Any other person with any shame or integrity would have resigned. Not her. Nor will her party demand she resign. Instead, they'll rush to her defense because the Party is more important than the country. The CIA and FBI won't investigate, because they're being run by partisan hacks like Panetta and Holder, who swore allegiance to our nation, but in reality, they are only loyal to The Party.

Who suffers? We the American people, because the Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats proved once again how much they don't give a hot damn about the security of you and I, their employers.

Another Phony Soldier....Unmasked

This Ain't Hell has the latest phony soldier round-up. This time, it's another far-Left type who claimed to be a wounded Marine officer who served in Iraq and was at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001 is a fraud and escaped mental patient named Richard Glen Strandlof.

And, surprise of surprises, he affiliated himself with that motley crew known as IVAW (Iraq Vets Against The War, where you don't have to have served in Iraq to join) and, the Democrat front group headed by that grade A douche bag, Jon Soltz.

According to the Colorado Springs Gazette:

The man who called himself Rick Duncan - purportedly a former Marine captain and 1997 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy - is in fact 31-year-old Richard Glen Strandlof, a former mental patient who never served in the military and falsely claimed that he was in the Pentagon during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, according to David Walsh of the Colorado Veterans Alliance (CVA), which Duncan founded.

Walsh, who joined the board of CVA at Duncan’s request last year, said his colleagues in the organization grew suspicious of Duncan after discovering “significant inconsistencies” in his personal story.

In a search of the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office records, for example, they found that the name Colorado Veterans Alliance had been reserved by “Rick Strandlof,” whom they had never met, Walsh said.

While probing Duncan’s past, Walsh said, the group found evidence that he was a patient in a mental hospital in Washoe County, Nev., at the time of the roadside bombing in Fallujah, Iraq, that Duncan claimed left him severely wounded.

The group contacted the FBI field office in Denver, which began investigating in early May and arrested Duncan Tuesday night in downtown Denver on a traffic warrant originating in El Paso County.

Speaking of VoteVets, read the following from their project called VetVoice by some guy named C76, who is whining about supposedly being called a traitor.

None of the people who made these attacks used my name. In fact, they weren't specifically talking about me. They were, however, talking about the views of political candidates and leaders whom I support. Those people represent my beliefs and opinions, and therefore, the people who challenge the patriotism of my representatives are making the same allegations about me. By the same logic, they are also attacking some of the most honorable men and women in the country today, including generals and sergeants major who have devoted their entire lives to the defense of this country.

I had the honor of sharing a meal with one of those men today. Sergeant Major John Estrada, the 15th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, joined me and four of my friends and colleagues for breakfast here in Colorado Springs. Sgt. Maj. Estrada gave 34 years to the service of his country. He led soldiers in peacetime and in war, and he was the highest-ranking enlisted person in the entire USMC. He is an incredibly intelligent and dedicated man who has spent a lifetime making this country better and safer. He is also an Obama supporter. So is MG Paul Eaton, who served his country for over 30 years and was selected as the first commander of Iraqi Security Forces following the 2003 invasion. So is my friend, CPT Rick Duncan, who survived an IED explosion in
Anbar that killed six of his fellow marines
. So am I.
An honorable man? Not by a longshot!

Like Father, Like Son--Younger Weiner (Savage) Donates To Libs

Remember back in 2006, when Michael Weiner (aka Michael Savage or "The Savage Weiner") gave $5,600 to liberal Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown's campaign to become attorney general?

"He's moved to the center, which is what this socialist state needs," is what Weiner told the SF Chronicle.

Hardly. Brown has used his office to do what his liberal puppet masters tell him to do. Whether it's fight the man made fraud known as glo-BULL warming, or going against the will of Californians who voted to keep marriage between a man and a woman (Prop 8), as well as end racial preferences (Prop 209). Some centrist, huh?

Well, like father, like son. From the Oakland Tribune comes news that the younger Weiner, Russ, has donated $25,000 to liberal San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom's bid to become Governor.
Yes, the son of Michael Savage, who just last October was saying Newsom is "in love again with the gay mafia" and "a whack-job as a mayor - 'Any-twosome' Newsom." Y’know, Savage — the guy the Brits don’t care to have around.

Is this a case of the apple falling far from the tree? It's not as if the junior Weiner has been some raging liberal: He ran for the state Assembly in 1998 as a Republican, touting the fact that he with his dad had founded the conservative Paul Revere Society (later stripped of its nonprofit status, and now redirecting Web browsers directly to Savage's site.)

So what's the deal?

"We're personal friends, went to the same high school at different times,” Weiner told me a short while ago. “And he's a businessman, I'm a businessman, so I hope he'll be good for the business community if he's governor."

Hey Russ, did you forget that your high school buddy Newsom pledged to make San Francisco a "sanctuary city" for illegal aliens, even giving money to aid juvenile offenders who are illegal and even flying teenage drug dealers out of the country to escape prosecution?

So what ever happened to the term, "Borders, Language and Culture?"

It was all a shtick.

Obama Flips, Won't Release Photos of Interrogations

After saying they would agree to a court order and releasing photos of terrorist detainee interrogations later this month, the Obama Administration has done an about face and will fight the release of these photos.

This is not sitting well with "That One's" base, and his supporters who brought the case to trial: the AlQueda Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
The Obama administration had assured a federal judge that it would turn over the material by May 28, including one batch of 21 photos and another of 23 images. The government also told the judge it was "processing for release a substantial number of other images," for a total expected to be in the hundreds.

But Obama informed his legal team last week that he did not feel comfortable with the release, concerned they would inflame tensions in Iraq and Afghanistan and make the U.S. mission in those two wars more difficult, Gibbs said.

The effort to keep the photos from becoming public represented a sharp reversal from Obama's repeated pledges for open government, and in particular from his promise to be forthcoming with information that courts have ruled should be publicly available.

As such, it was sure to invite criticism from people, including more liberal segments of the Democratic Party, that want a full accounting -- and even redress -- for what they see as the misdeeds of the Bush administration.

Despite my near unanimous criticism of him from day one, I have to tip my hat to Obama for saying he doesn't want them released. This would only put our troops and Americans in more danger. I only wish he'd have thought of this when it came to the so-called "torture" memos.

We can all thank Dick Cheney, a patriot, for driving this point home in recent interviews.

A Victory! JROTC Programs In San Francisco Reinstated

A rare moment of sanity in otherwise nutty San Francisco. The JROTC program, eliminated by the S.F. school board in 2006 after it became the target of one board member, an anti-military 1960s hippie who never grew up named Dan Kelly, was reinstated last night.

From SFGate.

More than 200 supporters and opponents of the program crowded into the school district headquarters to make their final pleas to the board. And their arguments were as emotionally charged as they were when the fight began in 2006.

"To some of you, this is a political issue," Balboa High School sophomore Malik Douglas told the board. "But to me it's a personal issue. Represent our opinions instead of yours."

Board members Rachel Norton, Hydra Mendoza, Norman Yee and Jill Wynns voted to keep the program. Jane Kim, Kim-Shree Maufas and Sandra Fewer voted against the program.

The board's vote reverses a controversial 2006 vote to get rid of JROTC in the city high schools. The armed forces, the board then argued, should not be in public schools, and the military's discriminatory stance on gays made it unacceptable.

The 90-year-old program was scheduled to phase out in less than a month.

While the program will continue to be offered in city high schools, it was unclear whether JROTC courses will qualify for physical education credit next year. The board will likely address that issue at some point during the summer.

"We can make this program work if we want this program to work," Norton said.

Douglas and other JROTC cadets told the board the program offers them motivation and direction during what can often be tumultuous adolescent years.

But Michael Wong, a member of (commie front group, M.I.M. note) Veterans for Peace, said JROTC offers "classic military leadership intended for war."

Good for the S.F. School Board for doing the right thing. Joining JROTC is a option a student should have a choice to make. It should not be taken away because of the intolerance of some liberal board members who are puppets of Code Pinko and Vets for Peace.

Miss California Keeps Crown. Thank You Donald Trump, For Not Surrendering To Political Correctness

Miss California, Carrie Prejean, who has undergone the most vicious, hate-filled attack on a woman since Sarah Palin, was supported today by "the Donald" against the intolerance of the PC mob.

Donald Trump, who owns the Miss USA pageant, and Prejean faced the media today to quell the controversy over her support of traditional marriage, as well as seamy photos of her. Before today, some were predicting that Prejean would have to forfeit the crown.

Not so! For that, and regardless of what one might think of him, we should thank Donald Trump.

What crime did this young woman commit? She has a belief that most Americans hold, that marriage should be between one man and one woman. Not only that, she has a deep faith in God, and, judging from listening to her, she takes it seriously.

That is just too much for the Left in this country. They wanted to humiliate, harass, and call her and her family every name in the book just because she did not bow at the altar of the Gay Gestapo, and especially because she's (gasp) a Christian!

The treatment of Carrie Perjean by the Left and the militant Gay Gestapo is just one example of a greater threat in the United States. Fear of speaking your sincerely held opinion due to the threat of retribution.

What happened earlier this year to people who supported Proposition 8 in California? There were blacklists put out by the gay marriage lobby. And it was not businesses either, it was individuals who gave money to support the Proposition, listed with the companies they work for. Imagine, that in the United States of America, you could have lost your job because you gave money to a political cause or candidate you believe in. It doesn't end there. How many people have lost a job or been told to hide something as innocent as a flag, a cross or a political ad (usually conservative) to accommodate the "terminally offended" (liberals)? Christians can be mocked, ridiculed and made to tolerate the worst blasphemy, as "free speech," yet no one dares to question radical Islam for fear of being called an "Islamophobe" or a "bigot." The President and liberals laugh at a tenth rate "comedienne" joking about Rush Limbaugh's death. Could you imagine the same tolerance toward Ann Coulter if she joked about the death of a liberal?

All the while liberals love to lecture about "tolerance," and "diversity," while acting as if they're the champions of free speech.

Far from championing the First Amendment, they trample all over it.. If you want to see modern-day fascism in action, look no further than the intolerant American Left and what they tried to do to Carrie Prejean.

This young woman not only deserves her title as Miss California, she is a patriot and a role model.

Anti-Semite Troop Hater Jim Moran It's Says Patriotic To House Al-Queda Terrorists In Alexandria, VA

Virginia Congressman Jim "I Like to hit People" Moran (aka Jim Moron) has a grand idea for what to do with Guantanamo detainees like the mastermind of 9/11 Kahlid Sheikh Mohammed: house them at the prison in Alexandria, VA.

Moron's rationale. Alexandria housed the 20th hijacker, Zacharias Moussaoui, so, what's the big deal about housing a couple hundred more? And to top it off, Moron wraps the idea of housing a bunch of terrorists next door to his constituents in the cloak of patriotism.

By and large, Alexandrians are civic-minded people and are ready to do their duty if it serves the greater good. ...In each case, Alexandria demonstrated the kind of courage and patriotism that can be traced to the city's roots as the home town of George Washington and Robert E. Lee.
If you follow Jim Moron's journey over the last few years, you'd see what his warped view of "patriotism" really is. It's using anti-Semitic rhetoric in 2003 and 2007 to show opposition to the Iraq War. Moron has shown hate towards our military as well, such as in 2007, when he claimed our military was engaging in "ethnic cleansing" in Iraq. In 2005, Moron and that other traitor in Congress, Jackoff Murtha, appeared at an Arlington VA town hall meeting on the Iraq War when Sgt. Mark Seavey confronted them on their lies. Seavey also told a visibly angry Moron that when 200 of his constituents returned from Iraq, there was no visit or letter from the Congressman (see video below).

Moron's response to this patriot? He blew him off by saying "that wasn't in the form of a question" and didn't have the nerve to thank him for his service.

There's problems though to Moron's lame brained idea. If the idiot had read the Washington ComPost, he'd have seen the Democrat Mayor of Alexandria say unequivocally in March:
"We would be absolutely opposed to relocating Guantanamo prisoners to Alexandria. We would do everything in our power to lobby the president, the governor, the Congress and everyone else to stop it. We've had this experience, and it was unpleasant. Let someone else have it."

Also, The Washington Times spoke with Congressman Frank Wolf, who told the editorial board that the courthouse neighborhood in Alexandria now has the U.S. Patent and Trademark headquarters, new condos, businesses, a hotel and a new ramp to the Capitol Beltway. So, the stakes of holding more terrorists in the area are much higher.

The Times also poses an interesting question as to Moron's motives: Mr. Moran merely playing to a Justice Department that is currently investigating the former PMA lobbying group that made him one of the top four recipients of its campaign-donation largesse in recent years?

Whatever the motive, you have to question it. I'm glad I don't live in this treasonous fool's district any longer. That way, I don't have to worry about him coming to my front door and terrorizing me with his fists, like he allegedly did to his ex-wife and an eight year old black youth in Alexandria who was admiring the Congressman's car.
