MoveOn MorOns Protest Against Lower Gas Prices

While several House Republicans fight on the House floor for lower gas prices for the American people, the MorOns at MoveOn.org (anther George Soro$ funded Left wing organization), were at the Capitol today to protest against lower gas prices.

The Calvary was there, though, in the form of FreeRepublic.com, Freedom Works, Taxpayers for Prosperity and Young Republicans, who counter-protested the MorOns.

Jonn at This Ain't Hell was there and reports back with photos and video, including this one of a former LtCdr in the Navy in an Obama 08 who tore a sign held by the pro-lower energy crowd.

The full episode is captured on this other video taken by Jonn.

No wonder Nancy Pelosi, the Democrats and MoveOn hate free speech, because they can't win the argument, so they act like Brownshirts to silence voices critical of them.

Judging from the signs the MorOns held, it's the same old anti-business arguments GOP = Grand Oil Party, Big Oil evil, ad nauseum. A wading pool has more depth than the No Drilling arguments MoveOn made. Jonn also notes:

The moonbats admitted that they wanted gas to go to $10/gallon so people would use less and the price would fall. I don’t know, it didn’t make sense to me either. It might work with gold or silver, but not with a commodity that has the effect that oil has on the economy. But we’re talking about a group of short-sighted morons who smoked pot through ECON 101 in the 60s.
Which ties right in with Carl Pope of the Sierra Club's line of reasoning, "We're Better Off Without Cheap Gas."

Which makes me ask, just what in the Hell has the Sierra Club and MoveOn.org ever produced or contributed for the good of the American people. So-called "Big Oil" whom these lefties consider so evil employs people, produce goods (oil, gasoline, jet fuel, plastics, natural gas, heating oil, wax, asphalt) that are needed to run our nation. The Left produces nothing but hot air, along with divisiveness.

Newt Gingrich brilliantly stated in Human Events today that MoveOn:

"claims not only that more American energy, including opening up additional areas to oil and natural gas development, would have no immediate effect on gas prices, but that even in the long term, more American oil and gas on the market is only a "gimmick."

Someone should remind MoveOn.org that Einstein's definition of insanity was "doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result."

Not only does MoveOn.org still think that the Left's same, misguided energy scarcity policies are good for America, despite the obvious; they also think that the American people are going to continue to buy their arguments.

That's just crazy, and you don't have to be a Nobel Prize winning physicist to know it.

Newt says he meet tomorrow at 10 am with Republicans in Washington to speak on behalf of the 1.4 million Americans who signed the Drill Here, Drill Now petition at American Solutions.

From Republican Leader John Boehner's blog, here's some quotes from today:

Rep. Ron Lewis (R-KY): “The speaker flies in a 737 paid for by the people… I guess if you’re flying around in luxary you’re not too concerned about the people down below. We cannot let one person say no to the American people.”

Rep. John Carter (R-TX): “We’ve been naming post offices, bridges and suspensions… day after day voting on suspension votes… Not one vote to allow this country to become energy independent… there ought to be a vote.”

In more news, Politico reports that some Dems who claim to be "pro-drilling" are part of a bait and switch engineered by "Do Nothing" Nancy, in an effort to keep power after November.

But what looks like intraparty tension on the surface is part of an intentional strategy in which Pelosi takes the heat on energy policy, while behind the scenes she’s encouraging vulnerable Democrats to express their independence if it helps them politically, according to Democratic aides on and off Capitol Hill.

Pelosi’s gambit rests on one big assumption: that Democrats will own Washington after the election and will be able to craft a sweeping energy policy that is heavy on conservation and fuel alternatives while allowing for some new oil drilling. Democrats see no need to make major concessions on energy policy with a party poised to lose seats in both chambers in just three months — even if recess-averse Republicans continue to pound away on the issue.

As usual with Democrats, do what's best for the Party and to Hell with the rest of the country.

There's only one answer to that. If you live in a district where a Democrat represents you and they only talk the talk for more drilling but don't walk the walk, VOTE HIS or HER ASS OUT OF OFFICE! That will be America's way of firing that "Do Nothing" Miserable Failure, Nancy Pelosi.
