Jeremiah Wright's New Parishioner(?), Cindy Sheehan

Barack Hussein Obama's "spiritual leader," the alleged Rev. Jeremiah Wright may have a new parishioner willing to drink his Kool-aid of bigotry, none other than Mama Moonbat, Cindy Sheehan.

The fading star of the anti-America movement took time out of her busy campaign schedule (meeting with the Muslim Brotherhood & posing with white supremacists) to write a screed praising Wright's treasonous sermons on the loony Left's AfterDowningStreet website, reports Sweetness & Light (excerpt below).

"....Let’s parse the Rev’s statement.

“We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye.”

Yes, on December 7th, 1941 (another day that will live in infamy), a US Naval base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii was attacked by Japan. On that day, 2338 American service personnel were tragically killed, but there was little of what our Pentagon calls “collateral damage,” civilians killed. As a matter of fact, during WWII, Japan killed very few American civilians. However, the US military command in the Pacific killed hundreds of thousands of Japanese civilians in aerial bombings and with the use of the new WMD; H-bombs. General Curtis LeMay informed future Secretary of Defense, Robert McNamara (who was under LeMay during WWII), that if the US had lost they would have been tried as “war criminals.” The loss of innocent life in Japan was numbered in the hundred of thousands and I don’t hear Senator Obama denouncing those acts of cowardice.

....I sit here behind my computer screen in solidarity with Rev. Wright. Not only do I not denounce him, but I support him in telling the truth. I wish Senator Obama would recall how he once stood for truth. A desk in the oval office that has been corrupted by years of calumny is not worth selling ones soul for."

As does her new found spiritual mentor, Mama Moonbat shows no understanding of history. Why were the atomic bombs, as horrible as they were, dropped? Simple, to save millions of American and (yes) Japanese lives!!!! As we came closer to Japan, the fighting grew deadlier out of desperation, especially on Iwo Jima and Okinawa. Civilians would kill their families because Japanese propaganda falsely claimed they would be eaten by the invading Marines. There were suicide attacks on soldiers and Navy vessels. What would have happened if the Allies had invaded the Japanese islands? Casualties in the millions on both sides and the war would have been prolonged. As horrible as using the atom bomb was (and it was not an H-bomb, Ms. Cindy) it prevented the loss of those millions of Japanese as well as American lives and President Harry Truman was 100 percent correct in making that difficult decision.

Sheehan and Wright also fail to realize that Japan had also been working on secret chemical weapons to send over to cities on America's West Coast by balloon. If we had not used the atomic bombs, there's no telling what Japan might have been able to do.

The idea of war is to win, not play nice with a brutal enemy. Our nation was attacked on December 7th, as we were on 9/11. So, we had an obligation to protect our people by ending the war with victory as swiftly as possible. We didn't wake up one day and decide to incinerate hundreds of thousands of Japanese just for the hell of it. Anyone who believes we did is a complete idiot and doesn't have any understanding of history.

Wright and Sheehan are obviously blind to the supposedly innocent Japanese and their brutal Rape of Nanking or the wanton murder at least 250,000 Chinese civilians suspected of aiding Jimmy Doolittle's Raiders in April 1942. America treats captured prisoners of war much better than the Japanese did the American soldiers in the Bataan Death March, or the untold numbers of Allied POW's who were beheaded with a swing of a sword.

But then, facts are lost on the Sheehans and Wrights of the world.
