Murtha Wakes Up, Admits Surge "Is Working"

A week after declaring that the United States "can't win militarily" in Iraq, "Jihad" Jackoff Murtha is singing a different tune after visiting Iraq, according to the Pittsburg Post-Gazette.
"'I think the 'surge' is working,' the Democrat said in a videoconference from his Johnstown office, describing the president's decision to commit more than 20,000 additional combat troops this year. But the Iraqis 'have got to take care of themselves.'

Violence has dropped significantly in recent months, but Mr. Murtha said he was most encouraged by changes in the once-volatile Anbar province, where locals have started working closely with U.S. forces to isolate insurgents linked to Al Qaeda."

Since Murtha has woken up and realized what the rest of us have known for the past couple of months, it would be great if he'd offer an apology for his rush to judgement last week that our military cannot win in Iraq.

While he's at it, how about a public apology to the Marines he slandered as cold-blooded murderers?

WaCoPo Story Downplays Obama Muslim Links; Ignores Bigotry of Pastor & Kennedy's Confusion Of Last Name

The Washington Compost ran a story today attempting to downplay the Muslim connections with Democratic Presidential Contender Barack Hussein Obama.

"Since declaring his candidacy for president in February, Obama, a member of a congregation of the United Church of Christ in Chicago, has had to address assertions that he is a Muslim or that he had received training in Islam in Indonesia, where he lived from ages 6 to 10. While his father was an atheist and his mother did not practice religion, Obama's stepfather did occasionally attend services at a mosque there."

...Conservative talk-show hosts have occasionally repeated the rumor, ...and Rush Limbaugh saying in September that he occasionally got "confused" between Obama and Osama bin Laden. Others repeatedly use the senator's middle name, Hussein."
Of course, since the Clinton campaign, the source of the madrassa training story, denied the link, the MSM has done their best to cover this. At the same time, the MSM ignores the racial bigotry of Obama's church, Trinity United Church of Christ.

"We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community.

The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to a 10-point Vision:

A congregation committed to ADORATION.
A congregation preaching SALVATION.
A congregation actively seeking RECONCILIATION.
A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA.
A congregation committed to BIBLICAL EDUCATION.
A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION.
A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA.
A congregation committed to LIBERATION.
A congregation committed to RESTORATION.
A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY"
Can you imagine the cries of racism if a Republican belonged to a church that proclaimed their congregation was "unashamedly white?" Then there is also the anti-American tone from one of Wright's sermons.
“Fact number one: We’ve (United States of America) got more black men in prison than there are in college.

"Fact number two: Racism is how this country was founded and how this country is still run.

"We are deeply involved in the importing of drugs, the exporting of guns and the training of professional killers. ... We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God. ... We conducted radiation experiments on our own people. ... We care nothing about human life if the ends justify the means.

"And ... And ... And! God! Has got! To be sick! Of this s**t!"

As for Rush Limbaugh being "confused" about calling the candidate "Osama" instead of "Obama." The Compost writers seem to have forgotten this whole issue came about during a 2005 speech given by Ted Kennedy (D-Chappaquiddick).

Liberal YouTubers (including Santa Rosa man) Planted By CNN In Republican Debate

CNN's new logo? Truth In Advertising
FreeRepublic.com, Michelle Malkin and LGF are abuzz over the unmasking of liberal plants at the CNN YouTube Republican Presidential Debate last night. They include

*"Undecided" young person named Journey who asked about abortion is a John "P.S." Edwards supporter.

*An "undecided" Retired Brigadier General who is a Hillary / Kerry supporter, as well as a "don't ask/don't tell" activist.

*Log Cabin Republican supporter who is a Barack Hussein Obama supporter.

When it comes to Presidential Debates, CNN is either taking marching orders from David Crock/George $oro$' Media Matters for Hillary Clinton, planting DNC staffers/activists for softball questions at the Democrat Presidential Debate and now planting liberal Democrats as "undecided voters" for the Republican debate. As a result, future CNN debates should have truth in advertising to them and from now on be titled "DNCNN" Debates.

UPDATE: A FReeper found an article from the Santa Rosa Press Democrat about the pro-Hillary retired Brig. General Keith Kerr from December 2003.

"For about 30 years, Brig. Gen. Keith H. Kerr lived a painful, personal lie. As a gay man in the Army and the Reserves, he risked the loss of a cherished career if his sexual orientation became known.

"It made you paranoid," the soft-spoken retired officer said at his home in Santa Rosa's Fountaingrove area.

Kerr's double life came to an end Wednesday, when the New York Times published an interview with Kerr, another general and an admiral in which all three declared they were homosexuals. They became the highest-ranking officers to fault the "don't ask, don't tell" policy on homosexuals in the armed forces.

...Kerr, a native Californian who grew up in Oakdale and Lodi, is now an advocate and activist, one of 15 honorary board members of Servicemembers Legal Defense Network, a Washington-based nonprofit group working to repeal the military's gay ban and protect gay military personnel from harassment.

Kerr and the other two retired commanders -- Army Brig. Gen. Virgil A. Richard and Coast Guard Rear Adm. Alan M. Steinman -- timed their coming out to coincide with the 10-year anniversary of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy signed into law by President Bill Clinton on Nov. 30, 1993.

Coal For Ellen Tauscher Who Puts Politics Ahead Of Victory in Iraq

Listening to the KSFO morning show via the internet this a.m., I was alerted to a YouTube video posted on Melanie Morgan's website showing Move America Forward's visit to Democrat Ellen Tauscher's office.

Tauscher, who claims to be a "blue dog Democrat," initially voted for the Iraq war in the beginning, but was pressured by MoveOn.org to goosestep to their defeatist, pro-surrender drumbeat. Her conversion to defeatist was apparent in statements such as;
"I don't know of anybody who isn't desperately supportive of the military. People want to say positive things. But it's difficult to say positive things in this environment and not have some snarky apologist for the White House turn it into some clipped phraseology that looks like support for the president's policies."

In addition, Tauscher stated Democrat Brian Baird, who came back from Iraq saying progress had been made, suffered from "green zone fog." She said of Gen. Petraeus' testimony to Congress;
"...it is disheartening to hear an analysis that seems out of touch with both reality and the prevailing thought about when we should remove our troops from Iraq’s civil war. The surge is a tactic, not a strategy. We cannot wait another year for the so-called surge to straighten its learning curve. At a cost of $330 million per day, increasing troop casualties, and continuing ethnic strife, we cannot continue to accept minor security increases as indicators of a sound policy for continued engagement in Iraq’s civil war.”

The two Debbies (Deboroah Johns and Debbie Lee) spoke to Tauscher's staff in support of our troops and pointed out the Congresswoman's flip-flops on Iraq. As usual, Democrat congresspeople showed only disrespect, as well as a closed mind (and ears) to a Blue Star Mom and a Gold Star Mom who support the mission. While being ushered out of the office, one of them eloquently quipped to Tauscher's staff:

"I'll bet you'd let Code Pink stay here all day wouldn't you?"

Bill Clinton Lies Again: "I Opposed Iraq From The Beginning"

If you're a Clinton, lying is like breathing, and B.J. is caught once again in a whopper.

“Even though I approved of Afghanistan and opposed Iraq from the beginning, I still resent that I was not asked or given the opportunity to support those soldiers,” the impeached former President said yesterday.

That's is simply not true. Both CNN and the Washington Compost ran stories in June 2004 which Clinton stated he "supported" President Bush on Iraq, though he said he would have given UN inspectors more time.

In 1998, Iraq and their weapons of mass destruction were a big topic among the Clinton Administration, despite the lies of the Leftist loons that WMD's never existed.

"No one has done what Saddam Hussein has done, or is thinking of doing. He is producing weapons of mass destruction, and he is qualitatively and quantitatively different from other dictators," said Madeline Halfbright, Clinton's Secretary of State, in February 1998.

Don't forget Bill Clinton's televised Oval Office address on December 16, 1998, after launching bombing attacks on Iraq.

"Earlier today, I ordered America's armed forces to strike military and security targets in Iraq. They are joined by British forces. Their mission is to attack Iraq's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and its military capacity to threaten its neighbors.

...Saddam Hussein must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons.

...Other countries possess weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missiles. With Saddam, there is one big difference: He has used them. Not once, but repeatedly. Unleashing chemical weapons against Iranian troops during a decade-long war. Not only against soldiers, but against civilians, firing Scud missiles at the citizens of Israel, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Iran. And not only against a foreign enemy, but even against his own people, gassing Kurdish civilians in Northern Iraq.

The international community had little doubt then, and I have no doubt today, that left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will use these terrible weapons again."

Mary Katherine Ham writes at TownHall.com:
"... isn't this just another instance of Big Bill's big ol' ego undoing years of political parsing and careful statements from his wife? She's worked so hard to get voters who haven't been paying a lot of attention to the point where they can pick literally any Iraq position out of a hat and convince themselves she's had it at some point and may still. And, Bill comes along, grabs the political tightrope she's walking and just shakes the ever-lovin' hell out of it, fueling a day or two of negative coverage."

Then again, I think it also shows how much the Clintons enjoy playing the American public for fools, never mind that many of us can find quotes contradicting their current statements with a simple Google search.

Clinton's narcissism is evident in his egomanicial resentment, "I was not asked or given the opportunity to support those soldiers."

If this draft-dodging, military loathing ex-President wants to support our soldiers, he should consider shutting up and letting them accomplish their mission.

Hell Halfway Frozen: Marin IJ Prints Op Ed Questioning Global Warming

Even though I now reside outside the Beltway in Northern Virginia, I still keep an eye from time to time at the Marin IJ and other Left wing loonies in Marin.

But I was stunned today to see what appeared in today's Marin Voice, an article by Thomas Ring entitled "We Should Not Fear Global Warming."

Ring points out that "the Earth's average temperature has cycled between about 54 Fahrenheit and 72 Fahrenheit. It now is about 60 degrees," a fact which escapes public servants like Charles "ICE Agents Are Nazis" McGlashan.

Ring writes:

"What's responsible for prior periods of warmth in 600 BC, 1000 and 1912 to 1943, all when there was no or little man-made CO2? It's most likely the sun, whose radiation varies to the fourth power of its temperature. A mere 0.25 percent rise in the sun's temperature can cause a significant 5 degree rise in the Earth's temperature. And it's most likely why Mars, along with the Earth, is warming.

The major greenhouse gases are CO2 and water vapor. Current atmospheric CO2 is a teeny 0.037 percent, and its impact is far less than proportional as its concentration increases. Atmospheric water vapor is, however, 0.9 percent, 25 times as much as CO2. Water vapor is a "radiator" that is three times more powerful than CO2, but its larger effect has been ignored in the global warming debate."

Wow! Logic appears in the IJ, as opposed to frothy emotional hysteria.

To explain why global warming has become a big topic, Ring says, "follow the money."
"First, $20 billion in taxpayer money thrown only to institutions that embrace man-made CO2 as the cause of global warming.

"Second, the rise of commission-based businesses that buy and sell "CO2 credits," among which is Generation Investment Management LLC, whose chief executive is (Al) Gore.

"And third, greedy politicians and bureaucrats (exemplified by Assembly Bill 32 and the California Air Resources Board), who see man-made CO2 emissions as tax generators."

Since logic has appeared on the editorial pages of the Marin IJ, it feels as if a cool breeze is now blowing through Hell.

I'll stop short of saying that the underworld has frozen over though. When the IJ prints an editorial which supports our military, as well as victory in Iraq and the War on Islamofascist terror, I'll say Hell has frozen over.

Cheney Undergoing Tests For Irregular Heartbeat; Liberals Spew Hate Toward Him

Best wishes and prayers for Vice President Dick Cheney, who is undergoing examination at George Washington University Hospital in Washington DC for an irregular heartbeat.

While any sane, normal person would wish the Vice President well, many liberals at their kook blogs reacted with glee.

Here's a sampling of the hate at the Daily Kooks website.

Hillary's Big Bucks From The Rio Grande Valley--Something Smells Here

As if Norman Hsu and low-wage Chinese donors weren't enough for the questionable donations for Hillary Rotten Clinton, there appears this story in today's Washington Compost.

"McALLEN, Tex. -- During the first nine months of this year, Sen. Barack Obama raised just $2,086 for his presidential campaign from people who live in and around this border town of stucco bungalows and weed-covered farm lots, and most candidates raised even less. But Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, the Democratic front-runner, has already raised more than $640,000 here, and her campaign expects to collect even more.

Clinton's success in this unlikely setting is based almost entirely on her friendship with one man, McAllen developer Alonzo Cantu. A self-made millionaire who once picked grapes on the migratory farm labor circuit, Cantu persuaded more than 300 people in Hidalgo County, where the median household income in 2006 was $28,660, to write checks ranging from $500 to $2,300 to the senator from New York."
McAllen TX postcard circa mid-1970's. "City of Palms, Citrus Orchids and Big Money for the Hildebeast"
Cantu is a "bundler" for the Hildebeast, someone who collects donations from several individuals and presents them to the campaign. He is the owner of a local construction company and Chairman of the Board at Lone Star National Bank. He was the subject of one Federal Elections Commission complaint which was dismissed in 1999. In addition to hosting fundraisers at his McAllen home, he has, according to the Compost, raised money from "dozens who had never registered to vote, several who were Republicans and 10 who had previously made contributions to President Bush and former House majority leader Tom DeLay (R)." Some of his tactics sound like strong arming money from donors.

"When Alonzo comes through the door, you want to give to him," said Gerardo J. Reyna, Cantu's brother-in-law. Reyna owns McAllen Carpet & Interiors, a company that provides close to 90 percent of the floor coverings in Cantu-built homes and offices. "The last thing you want to do is get on Alonzo's bad side," he said with a smile. Reyna donated $1,000 to Clinton.
As with the Chinese dishwasher story, how do people in an area with a median income of less than $30k make $500 to $2,300 donations to a candidate? Given the Clinton history of shady campaign contributions and funny money, I'm suspicious about this one, not just from reading this story. I know this area real well. I lived in McAllen as a young man in the mid-1970's before my parents and I moved to nearby Harlingen. The town is only seven miles from the Mexican border town of Reynosa. The people in that area who are considered affluent there would be middle-class in an area like Marin County or Washington DC.

Questions which I'm sure the liberal MSM has no real desire to answer, as they're making the biggest contribution to Hillary's campaign, free positive coverage.

MAF's "Honoring Our Heroes At The Holidays Tour" Kicks Off Monday

This coming Monday, November 26th, Move America Forward will kick off a 40 city "Honoring Our Heroes At The Holidays" Tour at 9:00 AM in the San Joaquin National Cemetery 32053 West McCabe Road, Santa Nella, CA .

The tour will cross America holding pro-troop events and collect more than 100,000 Christmas/Hanukkah and holiday greeting cards for the men and women stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Participation by children, schools and other groups is encouraged. MAF asks that on the outside envelope be sure to write either: “Christmas Card for Our Troops” or “Hanukkah Card for Our Troops” or “Holiday Card for Our Troops.”

The late Johnny Carson's sidekick, Ed McMahon, recently praised the Honoring Heroes tour. McMahon trained as a Marine Corps fighter pilot and instructor in World War II, flying F4U Corsair fighters. He also served during the Korean War.

To see all the stops on the tour, including a Holiday concert at Lincoln Center on December 14th, please visit the tour itinerary. Also visit Move America Forward's website for more details and updates.

While Troop Funding Is Held Up, Harry Reid Takes Junket To Latin America

While funding for our troops is being held up in the Senate, their majority leader, "Dr. Evil" Harry Reid, is taking a taxpayer paid junket to Latin America, says Robert Novak.
"WASHINGTON -- After Congress recessed for Thanksgiving with urgent unfinished business that included facilitating income tax refunds and providing veterans benefits, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid left on an eight-day government-financed trip through Latin America.

Reid was scheduled to leave the Sunday after Thanksgiving and return the following Sunday. His itinerary included Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala and Paraguay (you mean he's not visiting his comrade Hugo Chavez in Venezuela? M.I.M.). His staff told this column Reid made the trip because of "stagnant" U.S. policy in Latin America under the Bush administration."

What stagnant policy is that, Dr. Evil? Ushering more illegal aliens into America while greeting them at the border with instant citizenship and registration as a Democrat voter?

It's interesting to note that Reid could not be bothered to make a trip to Iraq and visit the troops. Probably because he'd have to explain to them why he wants to see them defeated and why he's cutting off their funds.

Cambridge Allows Boy Scouts' Donation Boxes, Then Attacks Patriots Who (Rightfully) Criticized Them

Our voices were heard loud and clear as the Cambridge Massachusetts City Council voted to allow the Boy Scouts to place donation boxes for our troops overseas in all city buildings.

If you recall, on Election Day 2007, donation boxes set up by a local Boy Scout troop was ordered removed by Marsha Weinerman, after receiving a complaint about the supposed "pro-war" message from the Scouts. Weinerman called the Boy Scouts efforts a political statement. At the same time, it was reported that, at several of the polling places, anti-war and liberal fliers were posted on the bulletin board.

Despite their too little, too late action, the Cambridge council took the opportunity to attack those of us who were outraged by Weinerman's actions and spread the word.

According to the Cambridge Chronicle, Vice Mayor Tim Toomey was "offended" at the allegation that Cambridge was against the troops.

"Some of the comments we've heard about the City of Cambridge from around the country have been very hateful. I find it very offensive," Toomey said.

Mayor Ken Reeves told the paper, "The city's reputation took a hit, a needless hit based on someone's rancor (?). I can't have so many people believing this baloney."

Councilor Craig Kelley added he could not respond to e-mails because "I got so ticked off. They don't know what they're talking about."

Oh yes we do, Mr. Kelley and it isn't "baloney" either. Mayor Reeves and Vice Mayor Toomey both voted for the April 2006 resolution calling for the impeachment of President Bush for "misleading" America into "an illegal preemptive war against Iraq." This past June, Cambridge City Hall and Senior Center celebrated "Peace Day."

In February 2003, Cambridge joined hundreds of other Leftist communities passing a resolution against a war with Iraq. The next month, high school students and other groups rallied in Cambridge against the war. World Socialist Web Site, which was at the Cambridge rally passing out leaflets against the war, quoted one student saying " “I’m here because I don’t believe that US policy has anything to do with the interests of people here or abroad. I would hate to see people die for the enrichment of a few people on top.”

Cambridge, Mass' definition of "patriotism."

No matter how Cambridge tries to spin or sugarcoat it, they are an extreme Leftist anti-war city that does not support the military nor their Commander-in-Chief. They're only lashing out at the new media because the officials in Cambridge were caught showing their true colors. In response, the nation rightfully expressed outrage towards the town.

While Congress Gets New Airplane, Troops' Funding Held Hostage & Civilian Employees Face Lay Offs

While our troops' funding is being held up and 100,000 civilian employees at the Defense Department are facing layoffs (just in time for the Holidays, I might add), these same Congresscritters have no problem funding air transportation for their junkets, at our expense. That is, a brand new C-40, a military derivative of the Boeing 737-700.

From Aviation Week:

"With exquisite timing, Boeing chooses a travel weekend that could go down in the annals of airborne horror to deliver a top-of-the-line Boeing Business Jet that will be assigned to Congress - those folks who have charged billions in air travel taxes over the decades and left us with 1930s blind-landing technology. The jet took off from Seattle this morning for its base at Scott AFB in Illinois.

Midwest and East Coast - check out this morning's Seattle weather in the picture, because it's headed your way.

The C-40C, jam-packed with 40 seats by luxury-jet specialists at Greenpoint Technologies, is the third and last of a batch ordered in 2005. They will be operated by the USAF reserve to carry Congressional delegations around the world.

Funny how nobody in Washington ever mentions these $70 million jets as an example of wasteful defense spending. Or as an example of an unjustified Air Force mission that doesn't support our soldiers on the ground."

In From The Cold also reminds us:
"...the travel perks don't end there. In addition to their global junkets on Air Force VIP aircraft, members of Congress also received 32, fully-reimbursed trips to their home districts each year, and free, reserved parking at Reagan National Airport in Washington."

We really do have an Imperial Congress which resembles the elitist Roman Senate. They've lost all touch with the people they are supposed to represent.

San Francisco, Sanctuary City For Immigration Lawbreakers, Approves IDs For Them

UPDATE: Not only does San Francisco OK ID's for illegals, San Francisco Stupidvisors put their seal of approval on managers having sexual relations with subordinates.

Obviously, the Sixties never died in San Francisco. But, shhhhhh! Don't let Bill Clinton know, because Gavin Newsom doesn't need the competition!

********

The much talked about plan by the San Francisco Board of Stupidvisors to give identification cards to illegal aliens has been approved.

From Reuters, via Yahoo:
"San Francisco will give resident identification cards to illegal immigrants under a plan approved on Tuesday amid a fierce nationwide debate on granting privileges to undocumented aliens.

In a 10-1 vote, the city's board of supervisors -- the equivalent of a city council -- approved giving identification cards to all residents, including illegal immigrants. The move makes San Francisco the largest U.S. city to back such a plan.

Residents will be able to obtain the resident cards by presenting photo identification and proof they live in the city, such as a utility bill. It was unclear if the new cards, which will be accepted at libraries and health clinics, will carry photos."

Notice to Federal Government: Strip all Federal funds from San Francisco, as well as other "sanctuary" cities, for encouraging the breaking of our immigration laws.

Subbing For Mark Levin On His Radio Show Tonight......

...is none other than KSFO Morning Show Host, Chairperson for Move America Forward and a good friend of this blog, Melanie Morgan (per KSFO.com).

If you're in the Bay Area, you can hear the show tonight at 8 p.m. PST on KSFO. Since I'm now residing on the East Coast, I'll be listening on WMAL in Washington.

Just a note. If you haven't heard Mark's show before, give him a listen and you too will become a fan.

Scott McClellan Double Crosses Bush Administration For Book Publicity

And if two treasonous Democrats who want the defeat of our military in Iraq wasn't enough, tonight comes news of former press secretary Scott McClellan ready to stab the Bush Administration in the back.

McClellan, arguably the worst White House Press Secretary Joe Lockhart (in Lockhart's case, he was downright rude and nasty, McClellan was plain incompetent), has written a tome entitled "What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and What's Wrong with Washington." A sneak peak from the book, due out in April, blames the President, Vice President Cheney for "misleading the public" about White House aides "leaking" the non-covert Valerie Wilson to Bob Novak.
"So I stood at the White house briefing room podium in front of the glare of the klieg lights for the better part of two weeks and publicly exonerated two of the senior-most aides in the White House: Karl Rove and Scooter Libby.

There was one problem. It was not true.

I had unknowingly passed along false information. And five of the highest ranking officials in the administration were involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, the vice President, the President's chief of staff, and the President himself."

Does McClellan have an axe to grind against the President or is he just looking for an easy way to pimp a book? Not surprisingly, the AP, via Yahoo, is orgasmic over McClellan's upcoming tome, giving them another opportunity to bring back to life a phony scandal which they hoped would bring down the Bush Administration.

However, someone forgot to tell Scott it's not true!

What he, as well as the AP's Matt Apuzzo conveniently forgot is that it wasn't the Bush Administration, nor Karl Rove or "Scooter" Libby who leaked Valerie Wilson's name. It was Richard Armitage, the former Deputy Secretary of State.

"I think it was extraordinarily foolish of me (to have leaked Wilson's name)," Armitage recently told CNN's Late Edition.

Then again, the political double cross runs in the McClellan family. Scott's father, Barr McClellan, was a former Austin, TX lawyer for President Lyndon B. Johnson. He repaid his former client by writing a 2003 book entitled "Blood, Money & Power, How LBJ Killed JFK," stating Johnson conspired to have President Kennedy killed.

Who says the truth needs to get in the way of selling a book?

Murtha & Obey--Treasonous Democrat Bastards

The Copperhead Wing of the Party of Treason spoke up again at a press conference, denying funding for our troops as well as the gains made by the surge.

This dastardly Democrat duo who is spending more time attacking our military instead of our Islamofasicst enemies are none other than David "Terrorists are running out of people to kill" Obey and Jihad Jackoff Murtha.

Not only is their obstruction threatening our troops, but as many as 100,000 civilian employees at the Pentagon will be laid off.

Murtha, showing himself as the modern Benedict Arnold he is, immediately did what any good liberal Democrat would do: blame the Defense Department, calling them "despicable."

"They're scaring people," he said. "They're scaring the families of the troops . . .That's the thing that's so despicable."

Murtha also denied the success of the surge and the military gains made in Iraq, telling The Washington Times:

"Look at all the people that have been displaced, all the [lost] oil production, unemployment, all those type of things. We can't win militarily."

Wrong! We can and we are winning militarily. The problem is, Murtha, Obey and the entire Democrat party do not want America to win in Iraq and the War on Islamofascism.

Congratulations Murtha and Obey. Al-Queda and Islamofascists everywhere have great friends in you and your party.

Democrat Obstruction Of Supplemental Funding Threatens Lives Of Our Military

Literally!

Gateway Pundit links to a story from DefenseLink News, which says the supplemental spending bill being held up by Dr. Evil, Harry Reid and Do Nothing Nancy Pelosi threatens the anti-IED effort in Iraq.
"If Congress does not come through with a supplemental bill President Bush will sign, money for defeating the largest killers of American personnel in the war on terror will run out Dec. 1, a senior official said here today.

Retired Army Gen. Montgomery C. Meigs, director of the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization, told Pentagon reporters that the organization will have to stop funding new initiatives and just maintain operations.

“We’re out of (funding) new stuff now; we’re going to have trouble sustaining current contracts after the first of December,” Meigs said.

The anti-IED organization needs the funding to sustain operations and to pay for equipment fielded but not yet turned over to the services for funding, Meigs said. For example, he said, his organization funds the Guardian man-portable jammer, the contractors to service it, and the training in the system.

The organization tests new projects, ideas, ways of doing business and equipment against IEDs. If they prove effective, the organization is nimble enough to quickly can get the equipment to the hands of servicemembers. Meigs said the organization has enough money “to keep the lights on” through April. The organization is funded via supplemental spending bills.

What I can’t fund today will not go into the field next summer or next fall,” Meigs said. “It’ll be delayed by the amount of time we wait for funding.”

I'm not joking or being too harsh either when I call these Democrats the Party of Treason. This is another illustration how they will put the lives of our bravest in jeopardy because of their desire for partisan political gain.

Congratulations Harry, Nancy and the rest of the Democrat caucus. Every soldier who is killed because of the funding you held up will be blood on your hands!

"Bureaucratic Oversight" Closed Down Pro-Troop Donation Booth Says Cambridge Vice Mayor Who Also Voted For 2006 Bush Impeachment Resolution

Melanie Morgan has a response from Tim Toomey, boss of Marsha Weinerman, who shut down the Boy Scout donation boxes which collected items for our troops overseas. In typical liberal fashion, Toomey skirts the issue completely.
"In light of recent events on Election Day in which Boy Scouts Troop 45 was asked to remove donation boxes it had placed in Cambridge polling locations to collect essential goods for local troops serving overseas, I think it is only appropriate to clarify a few matters.

First, it is important to note that although over the past five years there has been heated debate about the wars themselves, Cambridge always has and will continue to support the men and women from our city who have bravely put their lives on the line for our country. (Yeah, sure you do, M.I.M.) Three weeks ago, on October 22nd, I sponsored a Cambridge City Council resolution in support of the Cambridge Boy Scouts Troop 45 and their effort to support the Cambridge Military deployed overseas. The Cambridge City Council unanimously approved the resolution and went on record on October 22nd commending the Boy Scouts on organizing the Care Package Donation Drive and urging all citizens to support the Boy Scouts effort and bring in donations for the Cambridge men and women proudly serving abroad. Resolutions like this one reflect the deep support Cambridge has for its soldiers fighting abroad. The people of Cambridge understand that supporting our troops and supporting the war those troops are fighting in are often two very different things. While this is an extremely unfortunate event, it was caused by an apparent lack of communication and understanding rather than the malicious intent of any of the parties involved.

Although they had informed the Election Commission of their intent and received encouragement from the City Council, the individual polling locations had not been notified in time and therefore had not granted the necessary permissions to Troop 45.

This is the kind of frustrating bureaucratic oversight that better communication will help to prevent in the future. Cambridge is the first city in the State—and to my knowledge the country—that is offering full salary and benefits to city employees who are overseas serving our country. To say that we do not care about the well being of our troops is preposterous. (M.I.M note: Right there is the typical liberal "don't question our patriotism" line) The Home Rule Petition that I sponsored on behalf of the Cambridge City Council is one of the most comprehensive benefit plans for our brave men and women around. Since the beginning of the military involvement in Afghanistan, City Councilor Marjorie Decker has read the names of every fallen soldier from every community around the country at each weekly meeting. We do this to honor and recognize the supreme sacrifice these heroes have made on behalf of our country. I encourage all those cities and towns currently looking down on Cambridge to examine their own policies and see if they are on par with Cambridge. If any good can come of this controversy I do hope that this will be it. Boy Scouts Troop 45's efforts to support our troops are a benefit for the entire community, and the Council will continue to work with them to ensure that their goals are fully realized. I'm glad this incident has brought their admirable mission into the public eye, and I encourage everyone to show their support in this season of giving by donating to the Boy Scouts of America. Thank you for expressing your concern, I hope you will continue your civic involvement in the future. "

Tim Toomey

It sounds fishy when the Boy Scouts donation box was removed while anti-war fliers hung on the bulletin board in the same polling place, as a story from the Boston Herald said (which was linked here yesterday).
"At the same polling station that was the scene of the complaint, on the same bulletin board where the Scouts had posted their flier were about 75 other fliers. According to Patterson they included those “promoting Get Out of Iraq, Campus Green, College Democrats of America.” The only one removed belonged to “those evil Boy Scouts collecting things for the troops,” he added."
Simple. Because Toomey is an anti-war, anti-military lib who voted to approve a resolution calling for the censure and or impeachment of President Bush on April 24, 2006. The text of the resolution cited (without any proof) that "President George W. Bush knowingly misled Congress and the American people into an illegal preemptive war against Iraq, costing its citizens billions of tax dollars and countless American and Iraqi lives; and (Whereas) President Bush has admitted to conducting warrantless wiretaps in direct violation of the laws of the Congress of the United States.

No, Vice Mayor Toomey. We know whose side you and Ms. Weinerman are on and it isn't on the side of our troops or the American people, no matter how you try to sugarcoat it.

Another Donor For Hillary/Dems Indicted

What company the Clintons/Democrats keep as far as donors and fundraisers.

From KRIS-TV in Corpus Christi, TX comes this story of a South Texas Democrat donor who was recently indicted.

"A major contributor to Democratic causes and political races was indicted Friday on charges of falsely holding himself out as a lawyer and impersonating a public servant.

Mauricio Celis, a Corpus Christi businessman, has a controlling interest in the CGT Law Group of Corpus Christi even though he is not an attorney.

Now, he's being accused of practicing law without a license. Texas law prohibits anyone from owning a controlling interest in a law firm unless he is a licensed lawyer.

A Nueces County grand jury on Friday indicted him on seven counts of falsely holding himself out as a lawyer, a third-degree felony. Each count stems from separate incidents in which Celis was listed as an attorney, the Corpus Christi Caller-Times reported in its online edition. Celis' business cards, letterhead and his firm's Web site identified him as an attorney licensed in Mexico. One business fax sheet stated he was licensed in Washington, D.C., and California. Celis also signed a settlement document as an attorney. He told Police Chief Bryan Smith he was licensed in Mexico, according to the indictment.

...Celis also was charged with impersonating a public servant, a third-degree felony, for flashing a Duval County sheriff's badge in an incident near his Corpus Christi home.

In that case, police reported that a naked woman ran from Celis' home to a convenience store, claiming she had been in a hot tub and groped against her will. Celis quickly followed her into the store, wearing a bathrobe. He flashed a sheriff's deputy badge from a nearby county and told police at the store that he would take custody of the woman, police said.

...In another charge, Celis was accused of taking money from a client of his law firm. The indictment says he took between $1,500 and $20,000 from Paloma Steele, who has sued Celis to recoup a portion of her fees.

The Nueces County Sheriff's Department expects an arrest warrant to be issued for Celis next week.

Celis has contributed thousands to state and federal candidates, including the presidential campaign of Sen. Hilary Clinton. Several candidates for state office who accepted campaign cash from Celis have since donated it to charity.

According to FEC records, Celis has contributed $143,846 to Democrat candidates (including $2,300 to Clinton) and groups.

Any word if the Hildebeast has returned the donation she's received?

The Reviews Are In: "Redacted" Is Everything We Heard It Was, And Worse

Mark Cuban, the financier of the slanderous terrorist propaganda movie "Redacted," complained about critics like Bill O'Reilly who've rightfully described the move as "anti-troops" but not seen it.

Well, the reviews are in and everything we suspected about this movie has been confirmed.

From the Jawa Report, Michael Medved saw the movie and said it was possibly the worst movie he has ever reviewed.

Debbie Schlussel, who first warned everyone about this movie back in February, linked to a stinging review by Joe Morgenstern of the Wall Street Journal.

"Redacted" Is Dismal

Brian De Palma's "Redacted" argues that the horrors of the Iraq war are being kept from us by inept or venal news media and the government's propaganda machine. That's a tenable premise for a provocative documentary; the horrors of every war elude description, and Mr. De Palma is clearly desperate to get a purchase on the chaotic nature of this one. But his film isn't a documentary. It's a work of propaganda in its turn, a digitally photographed meditation on our media-saturated age in which our men in uniform, like the news crews that cover them, create their own realities by shooting digital video of their exploits. The film's core is a speculative and utterly unconvincing reconstruction of an incident that reportedly involved, among many horrors, the rape and savage killing of a 14-year-old Iraqi girl by members of a U.S. army squad. The Americans are portrayed with varying degrees of loathsomeness, but there's not much variety in the film. It's all an awful aberration.
What say you, Mark? You can spin all you want and hide behind your phony facade of charity for the troops. But why have you spent more on this movie than you have for our troops?

I'm usually hesitant to get involved with boycotts, but I'm making an exception for this work of treason. If you want to get involved, go to Boycott Redacted, sign the petition, send a message to Mark Cuban's corporate sponsors and get involved with any protests which may be in your area against this disgraceful movie.
By the way, Mark, I'm a San Antonio Spurs fan!

Cambridge Official Shuts Down Troop Care Package Drive

I received this disturbing item from Move America Forward.
"Local Boy Scouts in Boston were collecting care package items to send to the troops during this holiday season - that is until city officials stepped in, called law enforcement and shut down their care package collections for the troops.

The mean, cold-hearted woman who shut down the Boy Scouts efforts is a city official named Marsha Weinerman of Boston, Massachusetts who was appointed to her post July 1, 2006."

Cat Moy and Melanie Morgan expand on this awful deed and also set this Weiner straight about what our military does:
"...A local Boy Scouts troop decided back in August that it would like to collect items, such as much-needed toiletries, for our troops. The Boy Scout leader said he got permission from the county to set up collection sites on Election Day.

But some hate-monger complained and that set off a chain of events that lit a fire under Marsha Weinerman (I did not make up her name) and caused her to boot the Boy Scouts’ care package collection bins.

“We just wanted to support the troops,” Boy Scout Patrick O’Donnell told a TV reporter.

What was Ms. Wienerman’s beef with the Boy Scouts efforts? She said they were too pro-war.

Here at Move America Forward we hear this tripe all the time. So I am quite happy to take on and call out the Weinerman’s of the world.

First of all, our military does much more than kill bad people. Just look at our blog and you’ll find stories of our troops caring for babies, building schools for poor children, installing bridges for locals, etc. etc. What in the hell is pro-war about this, Ms. Weinerman?

Ever heard of Jessica Lynch? Yeah, the small woman who proudly served as a soldier and was ambushed by terrorists. Her job was not killing people. She worked in supplies, Ms. Weinerman.

When Katrina hit, devastating New Orleans, our troops were there saving people. Pro-war? I think not, Ms. Weinerman.

How about the recent wildfires in Southern California that destroyed hundreds of homes. Guess who was there to rescue and help? That’s right. Our troops, Ms. Weinerman.

And this one should not be lost on anyone - least of all the head of the elections department, which Ms. Weinerman is: it is because of our troops and veterans that we have the right to vote and free elections."

But it gets worse. LGF linked to an editorial from the Boston Herald which points out a huge double standard of what fliers were allowed to remain at this polling place.

"...At the same polling station that was the scene of the complaint, on the same bulletin board where the Scouts had posted their flier were about 75 other fliers. According to Patterson they included those “promoting Get Out of Iraq, Campus Green, College Democrats of America.” The only one removed belonged to “those evil Boy Scouts collecting things for the troops,” he added.

The Cambridge cave-in was shameful but instructive. There are in this world those so blinded by hatred of this war and of George Bush that they would punish those who have been called to fight it - denying them, what, granola bars? That is mindless and it’s stupid. That public officials caved in to such mindlessness - yes, even in a city like Cambridge - is a public disgrace."
Proof positive how those who say they "support the troops but not the war" are a bunch of liars.

Feel free to contact Weinerman by e-mail at mWeinerman@cambridfema.gov or call her at:

Lecturing Blitzer & Co About Questioning At Dem Debate: More Proof Media Matters Is A Clinton/Democrat Party Front Group

Need more proof that Media Matters for Democrat America is nothing but a Democrat/Clinton front group in direct violation of their tax exempt 501 (c)-(3) status?

Greg Pollowitz on National Review Online's Media Blog notes how this George Soro$ front group led by David Crock has written a list of "don'ts" for CNN's Democrat Debate tonight.
  • Don't contradict your own reporting and suggest that Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) "cash[ed] in" on a stock deal in which he lost $13,000.

  • Don't say that Obama's position on Pakistan is "very much in line with what" President Bush says regarding Pakistan.

  • Don't contradict your own reporting — again — and say that Obama, in following legal requirements to count purchasers of his campaign merchandise as campaign contributors, is "apparently using some creative math" and "overselling his grassroots support."

  • Don't misleadingly crop quotes when challenging a candidate's consistency on a particular issue, as NBC Washington bureau chief Tim Russert did on the November 11 broadcast of Meet the Press, when he suggested that Obama has "not been a leader against the [Iraq] war."

  • Don't tell Obama that "[i]t's difficult to say that you're against the war and at the same time not say that you're against the troops."

  • Don't suggest that former Sen. John Edwards' (D-NC) work "for financial markets" might "contradict his anti-poverty message."

  • Don't adopt GOP framing and ask Edwards about his "flip-flop" on Iraq "to win the vote."

  • Don't ask about former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee's (R) "pretty interesting" quip that "[w]e've had a Congress that's spent money like John Edwards at a beauty shop."

  • Don't compare the "liberal woman" Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) to French Socialist Party presidential candidate Ségolène Royal, or suggest that the election of "conservative male" Nicolas Sarkozy as president of France will in any way benefit former New York City Mayor Rudy Giualini's (R) bid for the U.S. presidency.

  • Don't misrepresent exchanges from past debates, as Russert did during the October 30 Democratic debate when he asked Clinton, regarding Social Security: "Why do you have one public position and one private position?"

  • Don't ask whether Clinton — but not former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) — is "going too far" and "politicizing 9-11" in her campaign ads.

  • Don't purport to cite written documentation while misrepresenting it, as Russert did during the October 30 debate, when he falsely claimed that a letter written in 2002 by President Clinton "specifically ask[ed] that any communication between" him and the first lady "not be made available to the public until 2012."

  • Don't base questions on premises that contradict available polling data, such as whether the Clinton campaign — while leading all other candidates in head-to-head matchups — is "feeling desperate."

  • Don't hold Democratic and Republican candidates to differing standards regarding the Iraq war and the budget — for example, by repeating Republican attacks on Obama and Clinton for voting against an Iraq supplemental funding bill without noting that Republican candidates have also voted against Iraq supplementals.

  • Don't attribute the "weird" 1994 chart created by Sen. Arlen Specter's (R-PA) office to then-first lady Clinton's proposed health-care program.

  • Don't fail to disclose that your husband is an adviser to Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

  • Don't promise "the kind of political insight and analysis that you simply can't get anyplace else," or "serious," "specific," and "precise" questions, then ask the candidates to respond to a series of questions by raising their hands.

I'm only surprised Media Matters didn't demand that the horse's ass Keith "Countdown to Moonbattery" Olberwuss moderate all future Democrat debates.

Party Of Treason Approves Latest "Surrender in Iraq" Bill

"Do Nothing" Nancy and the Party of Treason are riding once again to rescue al-Queda in Iraq by approving a new "Support the Surrender of Our Troops" Bill.

The White House, (from CNSNews) accurately summed up the Democrat War Against Victory in Iraq.
"These votes, like the dozens of previous failed votes, put the interests of radical interest groups ahead of the needs of our military and their mission."
Once again, "Do Nothing" Nancy shows she is more concerned about partisan political posturing than the best interests of our troops and our nation.

If Mark Cuban Really Supported The Troops, He Wouldn't Fund Anti-Miliary & 9/11 Conspiracy Movies

"The sun shines, and people forget
The spray flies as the speedboat glides
And people forget, forget they're hiding
The girls smile, and people forget
The snow packs as the skier tracks
And people forget, forget they're hiding
Behind an eminence front
Eminence front - it's a put on
It's an eminence front
It's an eminence front -
It's a put on, It's a put on, it's a put on, it's a put on"
"Eminence Front," Pete Townshend, 1982

Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks basketball team, claims he "supports the troops." The team does a "Seats for Soldiers" program as well as "The Great Green Out" and the "Fallen Patriot Fund."

But all that supposed goodwill for our troops is nothing but a facade. Like the Who song quoted above, which is used for player introductions at Dallas Mavericks games, Mark Cuban's support for the troops is "an eminence front - it's a put on."

As noted here in September, Cuban is financing the Brian De Palma movie "Redacted," set for release this Friday. The movie is a hit job on our military, depicting them as rapists and murderers. Like most war critics and military loathers, Cuban attacks his critics, like Bill O'Reilly, claiming they are "confused" about the movie.

But there was no confusion from director De Palma about what "Redacted" is really about.

"The movie is an attempt to bring the reality of what is happening in Iraq to the American people," he was quoted by Reuters in a story from the Venice Film Festival. "The pictures are what will stop the war. One only hopes that these images will get the public incensed enough to motivate their Congressmen to vote against this war."

That's a far cry from Mark Cuban's Wikipedia entry, which states "... the basis of the film is a pro-American look at the troops. Like any war, there have been "black sheep" although this film heavily promotes the bravery of the Armed Forces."

So it's "pro-American" to finance a movie meant to inspire the defeat of American soldiers on the battlefield? Has Mr Cuban or one of his minions been twisting his Wiki entry? Even far-Left kooks like AfterDowningStreet are promoting the movie. It doesn't matter to Cuban, De Palma or the Bush-hating Left if this film inspires hate against our military and causes the murder of our troops or American civilians.

But it isn't just "Redacted," Cuban was in talks earlier this year to finance "Loose Change," the 9/11 "Troofer" movie that promotes the debunked idea that 9/11 attacks were a government conspiracy. Charlie Sheen was slated to narrate the piece of junk. Cuban was even called "a new hero for the truth movement," by one "troofer."

Does Mark Cuban think were all a bunch of fools? No, we're not confused. A blind man could see right through his flimsy explanations. People who genuinely support the troops don't make movies like "Redacted" or "Loose Change." That's like saying you're a Dallas Mavericks fan, but you show up at the arena wearing a San Antonio Spurs t-shirt.

We see right through your phony "troop support," Cuban. It's a put on!

Let Mark Cuban know what you think (but be respectful) by dropping him a line here.

WoolseyWatch--Supporting The "Surrender of Our Troops By December 2008" War Bill

The Three Stooges of Surrender (Lynn Woolsey, Barbara Lee and Maxine Waters) have announced they will support the $50 billion funding bill that sets the deadline of December 2008 to withdraw most US troops from Iraq. They originally opposed the measure as being "too soft."
This new war on the war by the Democrat Party comes despite overwhelming evidence of how the surge has worked. Stories tell of how our brave men and women have driven "al-Queda in Mesopotamia (that's Iraq)" "from every neighborhood of Baghdad." Now, many in Baghdad are able to go out after dark in many parts of the city.

But that success is now, in the words of Jim Clyburn, "a problem" for the Party of Treason, desperate to see our military defeated so they could claim a partisan political victory over President Bush. Never mind that Woolsey and most "anti-war" Democrats, as pointed out here several times, supported the Iraq War and liberation of Iraq in 1998, when Bill Clinton was President.

As rotten as Woolsey, Waters and Lee are due to their alliances with seditious, anti-American, anti-military groups like ANSWER, United for Appeasement and Injustice and Code Pinko, they are matched in their mission by "Dirty Harry" Reid.

"Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Tuesday that if it does pass and Bush rejects the bill, 'then the president won't get his $50 billion.'"

Hey Dirty Harry, that $50 billion is for our troops, not the President, you pathetic jerk!

It's not just these treasonous lawmakers, it's also the people who vote for them. Courtesy of Michelle Malkin, look at what the Democrat base is doing in Olympia, Washington. They are blocking trucks and pouring cement on train tracks to prevent military shipments to and from Iraq. Where are the police? This is far from the "dissent" that these libs spout off about. This is sabotage, which is, per the Espionage Act of 1917 "a crime for a person to convey information with intent to interfere with the operation or success of the armed forces of the United States or to promote the success of its enemies."

Why is this law not being enforced?

Contrary to their breathless claims about "supporting the troops," these modern day Copperheads (Woolsey, Waters, Lee, Reid) in the Democrat Party prove once again that the only thing they support is the defeat of our troops.

IDs for Illegals--More Stupidity From SF Stupidvisors

San Francisco Board of Stupidvisors voted to aid and abet illegal immigration (SFGate) and have the nerve to call it a "public safety measure."
"Supervisor Tom Ammiano, who authored the ID card legislation, said the program is a smart public safety measure because it would make residents living on the social margins of San Francisco more likely to seek the help of police and could give them more access to banking services.

'People are afraid to report crimes,' Ammiano said, referring to illegal immigrants who avoid local law enforcement authorities over fear of being arrested or deported
by federal immigration officials.

The legislation would require companies holding city contracts to accept the municipal card as a legitimate form of identification - except in cases where other state and federal laws require other forms of proof of age, name and residence.

Under San Francisco's sanctuary ordinance, it is city policy that no municipal government personnel or resources be used to assist federal immigration officials in the arrest and deportation of illegal immigrants."

Not only does this reward people who have broken our immigration laws, it is a possible way for a potential terrorist who has sneaked into the country to gain access to legal identification. Take note that, although it isn't a scientific poll, 87% (as of 11:51 a.m. EST) of respondents to the SFGate poll are opposed to this nonsense.

If there was any leadership at the federal level, including the Executive Branch, cities like San Francisco, Oakland and others who reward this breaking of immigration law would (and should) have federal funding stripped from their cities.

S.F. JROTC Repreive Tabled By School Board

San Francisco School board members pulled from the agenda a resolution which would have granted a one-year extension to the Jr. ROTC programs in San Francisco schools.

From SFGate.com
"...unless the board takes further action in the future, the 90-year-old JROTC program will be eliminated at the end of this school year - fulfilling a decision the board made last November.

The resolution before the board Tuesday would have extended the program for a year at five high schools, although it would have prevented ninth-graders from enrolling in those JROTC programs.

...More than 100 students and community members attended the meeting, the vast majority supporting the JROTC programs.

Sanchez allowed 15 minutes of public comment at the beginning of the meeting, even though the measure was officially withdrawn.

Lowell High School senior Connie Chen had hoped to address the board, but didn't make it to the front of a very long line. Later, she said the board has left the students in limbo - with no extension and no replacement program - with about seven months until the end of the school year.

'They were elected to do what's best for the students," said Chen, who is the senior JROTC officer at her school. "They're the ones who should take JROTC leadership courses.'"

Leadership is something the San Francisco School Board, like the City Stupidvisors know nothing about. Obviously, many want the program kept, but these so-called elected leaders only pander to the shrill anti-military crowd like Code Pinko.

Despite what Gavin Newsom says, San Francisco has proven once again how it is anti-military.

Novato 3rd Graders Receive Global Warming Indoctrination

Third grade students at Rancho Elementary School in Novato received an indoctrination session from the Chicken Little crowd yesterday via a play entitled "Save Some for Me," according to the Marin IJ.

Parents as well as faculty took roles in the play, which was shown at other global warming hysteria events held in Marin earlier this year. The only thing missing at Rancho was an appearance by the High Priest of Global Warming Alarmists, Al Gore.

"Teachers, parents and volunteers helped organize the assemblies and participated in the skits to help raise awareness about global warming and what people can do about it - exchanging traditional light bulbs for compact fluorescent bulbs, for example.

School officials distributed more than 500 CFLs last week.

On Friday, Rancho students will be given bilingual "Cancel-a-Car" coupon books filled with ways they can fight global warming.

Once the coupons are returned to school, teachers will track what conservation efforts are made and the date. Teachers will help monitor the progress. As the carbon reduction increases, images of cars will be crossed out on a giant poster kept at school."

So what information is being pumped into the minds of these youngsters? Cars are evil. Man is the Alpha and Omega of Planet Earth and destroying it. The polar bears are drowning due to our selfish use of the automobile, electricity and other energy sources.

Was there any alternative viewpoint given to the global warming hysteria? Were these children told how florescent bulbs are potential pollutants, as they contain mercury?

Of course not.

The one sided brainwashing session at Rancho was funded by a $200,000 grant from the Earth Day Every Day Fund of the Marin Community Foundation. The IJ also noted that the Marin Conservation Corps, Strategic Energy Innovations and Cool the Earth are implementing this and will bring it to 25 other Marin schools.

What ever happened to just teaching the "three R's" (reading, writing and arithmetic) in our government schools? More and more, in areas like Marin County and the rest of the Bay Area, schools have become indoctrination centers into Leftist activism. It ranges from protests against the Iraq War held during class time at Drake High School in Fairfax and anti-military recruiting events at San Rafael High School. It also includes a revisionist curriculum on the first anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and images of Fidel Castro's murderous right hand man Che Guevara seen in one classroom a few years ago at Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley.

This flier promoting a 2006 anti-recruitment session targeting San Rafael High School students was found by M.I.M. at the Novato School District offices

In Novato, students who cut class for a 2006 pro-illegal immigration protest at a donut shop weren't punished. Instead, Superintendent Jan La-Torre Debry wanted to hold a session so the students could air their views on the subject without cutting class.

In Kentfield last year, the school district sent fliers home with students promoting private showings of Al Gore's alarmist crockumentary film "An Inconvenient Truth." The showing was sponsored by the same Cool The Earth group mentioned as implementing the Rancho play into other Marin Schools.
Also at Rancho Elementary was a "Multicultural Day" in March 2006, which (according to one source) was held outside in nearly 50 degree weather. It included one speaker who lectured the shivering students about being "citizens of the World."

No wonder Johnny can't read, write or add. But he sure can lecture his parents about how evil they are for driving an SUV or how "imperialistic" America is.

"Change the course" should be more than just a campaign slogan by some on the Novato School Board. It should be put into action by making sure their schools are used to teach the basics, not Leftist political ideology.

We're Winning In Iraq, But Pelosi's "Do Nothing" Congress Still Pushes Surrender

All reports show that the "surge," which the Party of Treason (Democrats) fought tooth and nail earlier this year, is working and al-Queda is on the run. Some stories tell of new unity in Iraq between various sects, how Iraqis are standing up to al-Queda.

But that doesn't matter to Nancy Bella-Pelosi, who will push once again tomorrow for another unconstitutional power grab and demand surrender to al-Queda terrorists who are being defeated.

It has been almost a year since these Democrats were elected to majority status. What have they given us? Three hundred plus partisan investigations into the Executive Branch to find anything, something to use against the Bush Administration. More pork barrel spending and the slow road towards socialized medicine via the expansion of government health care for children. Charlie Rangel's promise of tax increases on working class Americans. Oil prices for a barrel of oil near $100 dollars and up to $4 per gallon in Oakland, CA because the Democrats, catering to their tree-hugging base, will not allow new oil drilling. All this, along with the Democrat leadership's abuse of power in attempting to run the War on Terrorism, so they can cater to their anti-military MoveOn.org/Code Pinko base.

Nancy Pelosi and "Dirty Harry" Reid are nothing but traitors. They are the equivalent of the "Copperheads" of the Civil War era. They should be impeached and deported to Syria or Iran, since it's obvious they are more sympathetic to the enemies of America.

WoolseyWatch--Votes For Cheney Impeachment Debate Before She Votes Against It

As mentioned last weekend, Lynn Woolsey was one of the co-sponsors of Dennis Kookcinich's resolution to impeach Vice President Dick Cheney, against the wishes of the majority leadership.

That's when the Republicans made a bold move and voted down the Democrat leadership's attempt to table the bill. The reason being, if some Democrats are willing to push for impeachment, let the issue stick to them.

So when the motion to allow debate on the bill was up for vote, several Democrats who voted for debate when they thought it would lose changed their vote and sent the bill to the Judiciary Committee, according to the Weekly Standard blog via Michelle Malkin.

"Looks like the Democrats successfully regrouped after that first vote surprised them. The House just voted 218-194 to send Kucinich's impeachment resolution to the Judiciary Committee. This effectively kills the bill, preventing a debate on impeachment.

It's interesting that on such a weighty question as impeaching the vice president of the United States, votes can change so quickly. While the roll calls are not yet available, it seems there were plenty of Democrats who voted to go forward with impeachment when they thought it would fail, who suddenly voted against impeachment when it mattered. I guess it was all just about politics after all -- even for the supposed 'true believers.'

...There were 81 Democrats who voted to have an impeachment debate when they were pretty sure it would be tabled, then turned around and voted to prevent a debate when it was clear one might occur."

Listed among the 81 Democrats who changed their vote on allowing debate was none other than Lynn Woolsey. She voted against a bill she was co-sponsor of, only because it looked like it might succeed. It's similar to how she supported military action in Iraq as well as the Iraq Liberation Act, but only in 1998, when Bill Clinton was President.

Yes, it's "just about politics." Partisan politics of the worst kind, that is!

Then again, how's Lynn going to explain this vote to the "true believers" in Marin and Sonoma? That is, the Appeasement & Injustice Coalition crowd who drive around with their "Impeach" bumper stickers plastered all over their Toyota Piouses.
