"Since the time that captured "enemy combatants" were first brought to Guantanamo Bay in 2002, the detainment facility has undermined America's image as the model of justice and protector of human rights around the world. Holding prisoners for an indefinite period of time, without charging them with a crime goes against our values, ideals and principles as a nation governed by the rule of law. Further, Guantanamo Bay has a become a liability in the broader global war on terror, as allegations of torture, the indefinite detention of innocent men, and international objections to the treatment of enemy combatants has hurt our credibility as the beacon for freedom and justice. Its continued operation also threatens the safety of U.S. citizens and military personnel detained abroad.
...We also feel that it is necessary to restore the right of habeas corpus to the detainees. This will allow for the implementation of fair and transparent trials to bring enemies of our country to justice.
The global war on terror cannot be won through military might alone. It is a war of ideas and philosophies. A liability of our own creation, the existence of the detention facilities at Guantanamo Bay is defeating our effort to ensure that the principles of freedom, justice and human rights are spread throughout the world."

The amendment passed, 309 for, 115 against.
One of the 115 Democrats who voted essentially for the censorship of talk radio was the North Bay's own Lynn Woolsey.
In addition to her "no" vote today, Woolsey is co-sponsor of the Media Ownership Reform Act, a bill introduced in 2005 by Maurice Hinchey of New York. This bill would supposedly "restore integrity and diversity to America's media system by lowering the number of media outlets that one company is permitted to own in a single market. The bill also reinstates the Fairness Doctrine to protect fairness and accuracy in journalism."
Woolsey said in 2005:
"It is not good enough to hold broadcasters accountable for wardrobe malfunctions. They must live up to the public good. Media monopolies are free to use their power to present only one side of the story."
Spoken like a true Marxist, Lynn! There's a difference between broadcasting smut and political discourse. Why do we need the government to decide what is in "the public good?" Who will decide that, as well as what defines "fairness and accuracy in journalism?" That's what they tried in places like the Soviet Union and what is done today in Cuba and Hugo Chavez's Venezuela.
Keep in mind these are the same liberals who champion "dissent" but don't like to be on the receiving end of it. And they claim to be the champions of free speech?
Despite whatever disagreements I have with her, I despise the lectures from hypocritical liberals like John & Elizabeth Edwards, whose actions don't mesh with their words.
The media and liberals are claiming that Coulter said she wished John Edwards was killed in a terrorist attack. You have to wade through the story to see that Ann was taken out of context. She does not wish such a horrific death to Edwards. She was only taking a stab at similar comments made by Bill Maher about Vice President Dick Cheney, which raised no protest from the Edwards, Democrats or the liberal MSM.
Quite frankly, we don't need any lectures on civility from Elizabeth Edwards. She should look in the mirror before attacking Ann Coulter. Elizabeth Edwards was the one who claimed Lynne Cheney was "ashamed of" her daughter's sexuality. Where was Mrs. Edwards' condemnation of the Democrat Party and all its vitriol towards President Bush, the Republican Party, our military and Conservatives?
Kristinn at FreeRepublic.com points out how Elizabeth Edwards attacked her "rabid, rabid Republican," "gun-toting" neighbor in the media. "I wouldn't be nice to him anyway," she said.
Mean-spiritness and insensitivity isn't just a trait of Elizabeth Edwards. Many of us were offended when John, that Prissy Sissy husband of hers, decided to politicize Memorial Day, encouraging supporters to attend events with anti-war slogans. By the way, John P.S. Edwards is the person who continuously exploits his son's tragic death, not Ann Coulter.
Speaking of lack of civility, lets talk out Chrissy-boy Matthews. When Coulter appeared on his show Softball, he said the following about conservatives in the audience (via Newsbusters).
MATTHEWS: And what deeply concerns me, more than the very existence of Ann Coulter, is the presence of many like-minded people here.
MATTHEWS: My God, is this "Deliverance"?
That wasn't all of Chris' digs at Ann. According to FreeRepublic.com, Matthews "joked" before the show that "perhaps they would draw a bigger crowd if we were beheading Ann Coulter."
And yet Elizabeth Edwards, Chris Matthews and liberal Democrats want to scream about the "lack of civility?" These libs can dish it out, but sure as hell can't take it.
Great job in stopping this one everyone! You stood up to the elitists in both parties. Give yourselves a round of applause!

As I wrote last week, concurring with a gentleman from the American Legion, this resolution is meant as a political statement and insult to our troops wrapped in the Flag. Also, why are we lowering our flag to honor, "foreign fighters?" How does Fairfax define "foreign fighters?"
Now that it's up to the Governator. Let's let him know that this request by Fairfax is not meant to honor our troops. Instead, it's meant to insult them, their sacrifice and make a statement against the war. Let him know about the Fairfax town council's history of making Left-wing political statements. It is clear they do not support the War on Terrorism. In the past, they have passed resolutions against the Iraq War, the USA Patriot Act (with that traitor Daniel Ellsberg making an appearance before the council) and for the impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney.
Feel free to write, call or fax the Governator at his Sacramento office to register opposition to Fairfax's request to insult the troops with the flag. The contact info is:

WALLACE: ....Do you have a problem with talk radio, and would you consider reviving the fairness doctrine, which would require broadcasters to put on opposing points of view?
FEINSTEIN: Well, in my view, talk radio tends to be one-sided. It also tends to be dwelling in hyperbole. It's explosive. It pushes people to, I think, extreme views without a lot of information. This is a very complicated bill (Senate Amnesty Bill--M.I.M). It's seven titles. Most people don't know what's in this bill. Therefore, to just have one or two things dramatized and taken out of context, such as the word amnesty — we have a silent amnesty right now, but nobody goes into that. Nobody goes into the flaws of our broken system. This bill fixes those flaws. Do I think there should be an opportunity on talk radio to present that point of view? Yes, I do, particularly about the critical issues of the day.
WALLACE: So would you revive the fairness doctrine?
FEINSTEIN: Well, I'm looking at it, as a matter of fact, Chris, because I think there ought to be an opportunity to present the other side. And unfortunately, talk radio is overwhelmingly one way.
WALLACE: But the argument would be it's the marketplace, and if liberals want to put on their own talk radio, they can put it on. At this point, they don't seem to be able to find much of a market.
FEINSTEIN: Well, apparently, there have been problems. It is growing. But I do believe in fairness. I remember when there was a fairness doctrine, and I think there was much more serious correct reporting to people.
So Dianne Feinstein thinks we're not sophisticated or intelligent enough to figure out what this bill she and her Senate cohorts have crafted in secret. Our power threatens her. Also, Feinstein is threatened because it was the conservative media who exposed her scandal where she served on a military appropriations committee and "may have directed more than $1 billion to companies controlled by her husband (Richard Blum)." This scandal was ignored by the liberal mainstream media.
How about contacting Sen. Feinstein? In addition to voicing your opposition to the amnesty bill, tell her you are against government censorship of conservative talk. Be civil, of course.

Across the street, Leftist supporters of the terrorists showed up to counterprotest, heavily outnumbered nonetheless. About five to ten hippies from the local appeasement & injustice group held obscene signs reading "9/11 Was A Fraud" and "United States & Israel-Terrorists Against Humanity" (see photos below). I was told that one of the "peace" crowd attempted to attack one of the patriots; an older man. The terrorist cheerleaders also gave the finger to the patriots, who responded by singing, "God Bless America."
It is because of the sacrifices of our men and women overseas that the protesters across the street had the freedom to protest, said Col. Pete Peterka. In his speech, he decried those whose support of the troops only amounts to lip service. He noted one of his pet peeves was the lack of recognition given by local media to military members in the area. To illustrate, he mentioned Saturday's edition of the Press Democrat, whose front page story was about environmentalists who want to protect some trees, while the memorial service for the nine firefighters killed in South Carolina was relegated to the back pages.
Peterka urged the crowd to show support for the troops by flying the flag every day, not just on holidays. He also asked those in attendance to recognize those soldiers who have come home from duty overseas.
Other speakers included Lt. Col Gregory Lauter from the U.S. Army, radio talk show host Mark Williams and Deborah Johns of Northern California Marine Moms. Johns also has participated with Move America Forward on the "You Don't Speak For Me, Cindy" tour in 2005 and the "These Colors Don't Run" caravan this past March. Her son, William, has served three tours in Iraq and recently came home. Mark and his wife, Holly were part of a MAF group who went to Iraq in 2005. Unfortunately, I arrived late due to car problems and missed these speakers. I met and heard Deborah speak at the rally last year. She is a very passionate advocate for our troops. Mark brings the same passion to the airwaves.
One speaker from last year, Lt. Col. Steve Countouriotis, was reactivated and is currently serving in Afghanistan. His wife, Debbie, spoke at the rally and read a letter from Steve, who asked the crowd to reflect on freedom. He wrote that freedom is not experienced in all parts of the world.
"There are extremists in the world who want to take away the freedoms we take for granted," he wrote. The global War on Terror, he said, is a world war that isn't just about bringing freedom to Iraq, Afghanistan and the horn of Africa, it's also about preserving our own freedom.
In his letter, Countouriotis said attendees could show support for the troops by telling those who believe the "war for oil" fallacy that the troops do not believe it is a war for oil. He also asked them to support causes for the troop's at home that aid soldiers with physical and psychological wounds.
Grizzled hippie who tried to infiltrate pro-troop supporters holding signs asks, "What's a burqa?"
Family members of soldiers deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan were in attendance, proudly displaying photos of their loved ones. Members of all branches of the military were also there, as well as other groups who support our men and women overseas.
UPDATE: Our good friend Melanie Morgan has posted on her website an account from Mark Williams about Saturday's rally and his encounter with the so-called "peace and love" crowd, some of whom yelled "faggot" at him (audio here).
Also, to prove Col. Peterka's point about the local media's coverage of our troops, the story about the Support our Troops rally was on page B3 of Sunday's Press Democrat. What was on the front page? A feature story about reducing our carbon footprint and another story about Michael "Fat Bastard" Moore's new crockumentary.

First, it was political ads via McCain/Feingold. Now talk radio is in the crosshairs. Next, it will be conservative blogs such as this one.
The Great One, Mark Levin illustrates the connection to Hillary and Bill Clinton with John Podesta's Center for American Progress to Socialism and their report attacking talk radio. This group helped start David Crock's Media Matters is also funded by George Soros. Levin also notes how the author of the report has financial ties to certain liberal talk show hosts.
The Clintons, Boxer, Soros, Media Matters and Center for America Progress to Socialism. What part of the First Amendment do these people not understand?
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
Message to Barbara Boxer, Hillary, George Soros and his puppets Crock and Podesta:

Dr. Bernstein was in the Bay Area recently and visited a Larkspur cafe for breakfast. During her meal, she saw a man approach a group of "well-preserved, well-heeled, white seniors" and overheard him exclaim that Connecticut Senator (and the Democrat's 2000 vice presidential candidate) Joe Lieberman was "Jewish—as Jewish as you can get."
Bernstein, who wrote she is also "Jewish as you can get," confronted the individual, who immediately went "into a hateful tirade about how 'you people now want to bomb Iran!' and 'you people have ruined this country!'"
"When I informed him in a quiet voice that I had no desire to bomb Iran ....he grew louder and more aggressive, telling me "I hate you people." This was followed by the classic defense of all racists, i.e., he informed me that 'Some of my best friends are Jewish.' He also raised his voice and began wagging his finger in my face."
Did the good liberal Marinites in the cafe condemn their friend for his racist tirade? Guess again! Instead, they defended their friend's free speech, as an older woman in the group exclaimed "We shouldn't be subject to the policing of what we say!"
"Has anti-Semitism become acceptable in certain parts of Marin County? Is racism equally acceptable? Or did I just run into a bunch of bad apples in what is otherwise a good bunch?"
I’m sorry Ms. Bernstein had to endure this garbage in supposedly tolerant Marin County. Unfortunately from my experiences in observing and counter protesting the so-called anti-war Left in Marin County, it is more than just a few bad apples. Anti-Semitism is like a plague these days among the Left, and it is too often ignored by the liberal media. It ranges from code words like "Zionist" or "neocon" to placards attacking the state of Israel and the Jewish people.
In Mill Valley's 2004 Memorial Day parade, as a supposed "anti-war" group was allowed to march in the parade, leaflets were distributed saying "Jews are responsible for 9/11." This past March, in a San Rafael anti-war rally, signs appeared saying "End U.S. Aid to Israel, as well as equating Israel, America and Britain as the "Axis of Evil." The same can be said of similar protests in San Francisco, as well as other parts of the Bay Area.
It isn't just limited to these protesters and many in their leadership. Jimmy Carter, without a doubt the worst President of the United States, attacks Israel in his latest book, "Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid." In an L.A. Times piece, Carter also attacked the "Israel Lobby."
"...for the last 30 years, I have witnessed and experienced the severe restraints on any free and balanced discussion of the facts. This reluctance to criticize any policies of the Israeli government is because of the extraordinary lobbying efforts of the American-Israel Political Action Committee and the absence of any significant contrary voices.”
This term is echoed by Paul Craig Roberts, in a review of Carter's tome at antiwar.com:
"In Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid, Jimmy Carter takes the risk of speaking truth to propaganda. Predictably, the Israel Lobby and its shills ranging from the 'conservative' National Review to 'liberal' media and commentators have attempted to banish Carter by labeling him an 'anti-Semite.'"
I don't agree with Senator Joseph Lieberman on almost any domestic issue. However, I believe he is a true patriot, because he is willing to stand up to the Democrat party and reject their policy of appeasement, cut, run and surrender. He is taking a tough stand on the Islamofascist state of Iran, even encouraging military action. Why? It's common sense. Iran is the source of funding for the insurgency in Iraq as well as terrorism against Israel. Because of his courageous stand, he is attacked and vilified by his fellow liberals.
Liberals always love to lecture and rally against racism. Ironically, in their disagreement with Joe Lieberman on foreign policy, they are the ones attacking the man's race and religion. Likewise, they also attack the Jewish people for all the conflict in the Middle East, as well as American foreign policy.
Liberals, you've become what you claim to denounce.

He claims, according to today's Marin IJ, that his idea is not meant to be support or dissent for the war, but a reminder of the sacrifices of our military and their families. The City Council plans to discuss this item at their next meeting.
In reality, his lame brained idea is nothing but an insult to our men and women in uniform and their families wrapped in Old Glory. His so-called "honor to their (the troops) commitment" also violates the Flag Code.
Ron Engel, national spokesman for American Legion said Weinsoff "has no authority to do that." He said Weinsoff's plan resembled a "political statement" and that the troops "would not want to see it at half-staff."
The Fairfax council has had a history of undermining the War on Terrorism. They voted last year on a resolution to impeach President Bush and Vice President Cheney. Resolutions opposing the Patriot Act and the Iraq War have also been approved by the council.
Weinsoff's idea is nothing but another liberal political statement from the home of John Walker Lindh. Just from the mere fact he chose the date which George W. Bush's presidency ends to stop flying the flags at half-staff proves this is a partisan message. In addition, Weinsoff actively supports liberal Democrat candidates. He is listed as endorsing California Lt. Governor John Garamendi, State Treasurer Bill Lockyer, Assembly candidate & Marin Democrat Party Chairman John Alden. He also backed last year's Proposition 87, which was meant to seize oil company profits.
In proposing this idea, he is also violating a promise made when he sought office on the Fairfax council. Earlier this year after, abstaining from some vote on international affairs which Fairfax is known for, the IJ's All About Marin column noted "Weinsoff pledged during his campaign for council that he would not support the town taking positions on national and international matters."
So much for promises from liberals.

Besides mentioning Iraq's ties to terrorism, Gore alludes to Iraq's attempts to get "weapons of mass destruction" including nuclear weapons. He also mentions the use of chemical weapons on the Kurds in 1988.
Yet Al Gore today, when he's not acting like Chicken Little, goes around claiming 41's son, George W., "misled" America about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction.
Once again, talk radio and the blogosphere is doing the job the mainstream media refuses to do.

"Basically, the purpose underlying the event is three-fold: one, to promote a car-free lifestyle, and decrease our dependence on fossil fuels; two, to freak out the "squares," and to force the public to "step out of its comfort zone"; and three, most controversially, to get a sexual thrill out of being an exhibitionist."

Instead, a Leftist radio talk show host in Los Angeles, Bree Walker, has agreed to buy Sheehan's land and use it as a "memorial to peace," according to AP via SFGate.
"Cindy is happy the land is going to be used for something positive," said her spokesperson, Tiffany Burns. "But Cindy does not plan to have a continued presence there." Burns added Walker is a Sheehan supporter and had the so-called "peace mom" as a guest on her radio show several times.
According to the AP article:
"Sheehan had said she would not willingly sell to Move America Forward, an organization that supports the U.S. intervention in Iraq, which wanted to buy the land to erect a monument. The land in Crawford, about 100 miles south of Fort Worth, is about 7 miles from Bush's ranch."
Initially, Sheehan said she was going to sell the land on eBay and "would consider any reasonable offer."
In refusing to sell the land to Move America Forward, I'm curious if Sheehan is breaking any discrimination laws in regards to land sales on the basis of political ideology. There are strict laws regarding discrimination in housing and lending but I'm not sure how that applies to land. Also, she bought the land for $52,500 and is selling it for $87,000. Are there any recent appraisals to back up this $34,500 increase in land only a year after it was sold?
According to a Leftist website, The Raw Story, Woolsey was joined in endorsing the resolution by Rep. Barbara Lee of Berkeley, once an aide to former Representative (and current Oakland Mayor) Ron "Red" Dellums. Lee cast the only dissenting vote on military action against Islamic terrorists after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
Woolsey signed on to a similar resolution to impeach President Bush last year.
Other co-signers include Yvette Clarke, Jan Schakowsky, William Lacy Clay and Albert Wynn. All are members of the so-called "Progressive" Caucus, which is essentially the Treason Lobby in Congress. Woolsey and Lee are the co-chairs of the caucus. Fellow caucus member Dennis Kucinich authored the resolution and introduced it this past April.
The resolution accuses the Vice President of "high crimes and misdemeanors," claiming he "mislead" the nation in the lead up to the War in Iraq, among others. Of course, Kucinich and his allies offer no concrete evidence of their allegation that Cheney "lied" about Iraq WMD's. This resolution is only about these Congressional Leftists repeating their lies, hoping they can hypnotize others into believing them.
If anyone is to be impeached, it is people like Dennis Kucinich, Barbara Lee and, oh yes, Lynn Woolsey. They violate on a daily basis their oaths of office to defend America "against all enemies, foreign and domestic," under the false facade of "Peace." Woolsey and her so-called "Progressive" Caucus are nothing but domestic enemies who give aid and comfort to the enemies of America while they hamstring America's fight against Islamic terrorism which attacked us on September 11, 2001 and still threatens us today.

Their popular airshow during Fleet Week in October is in the cross hairs of Communist front groups Global Exchange, Code Pinko for Appeasement, and Veterans for "Peace" Chapter 69. Their ally is Leftist City Stupidvisor Chris Daly, who is drafting a resolution that he plans to introduce on Tuesday.
Daly told The Examiner that the Blue Angels flyovers "seem dangerous and unnecessary.” He's not being honest about his real motives. Daly, like the rest of the San Francisco Board of Stupidvisors, has an anti-military agenda. They voted to ban the battleship USS Iowa as a floating museum in San Francisco. Board member Gerardo Sandoval even went as far as to state on Fox News' Hannity & Colmes that the United States did not need a military.
The traitors who make up Veterans for "Peace" are more honest about their intentions, they don't like the "pro-military"message and "recruiting efforts." Code Pinko has launched a petition to ban the Blue Angels. This is the same group that, along with Global Exchange, gave $600,000 in aid to terrorist sympathizers in Fallujah, Iraq. Both groups were founded by pro-Castro communist Susan "Medea" Benjamin.
People in the Bay Area, as well as those who come here for Fleet Week, need to send a message to the anti-Military city government of San Francisco. Leave the Blue Angels alone! If you don't like the show, don't go! But quit forcing your anti-military, anti-American, left-wing point of view down all the citizens of San Francisco and the Bay Area.
You can contact Chris Daly at (415) 554-7970 or by e-mail Chris.Daly@sfgov.org. As always, be civil but firm. Here's a link to the other board members.
The city council unanimously endorsed a ban on plastic bags in grocery stores, retail store and restaurants. Final approval will come July 11th and the ban would become effective around February 10th, according to the Marin IJ.
Fairfax will follow the stupidvisors in San Francisco, who initiated the war on plastic bags this past spring. Fairfax Mayor Larry Bragman based the ordinance on San Francisco's. Marin County Supervisors have been signaling a similar attack on plastic bags.
Aren't there more important things the Fairfax City Council should be taking up? What about flood control to prevent similar flooding experience New Years Eve 2005? Remember, this is the same town council last year that voted in favor of a resolution calling for the impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney.
The war on plastic bags is quickly becoming the politically correct thing to do. As a result, liberal towns like Fairfax, as well as the County of Marin are jumping on the bandwagon to limit take away your freedom to decide what type of bag you'd like take your groceries home in.
And liberals claim to be the champions of choice!
"WASHINGTON - A broad immigration bill to legalize millions of people in the U.S. unlawfully failed a crucial test vote in the Senate Thursday, a stunning setback that could spell its defeat for the year."
Yeeeehaaaah!!!!! But our job is not yet over. Congress and President Bush need to be reminded that the borders are still not secure and that our current immigration laws must be enforced. The President also needs to stop punishing those who are sworn to protect our immigration laws.

Neal Boortz writes about D-Day on his website and notes:
"There was a time when you didn't have to engage in a mini history lesson on D-Day. This was something the American people were actually taught in school, or something they remembered personally. Not so today, unfortunately. If you care to know more here are some links from the D-Day Museum and from Wikipedia that seem very thorough."Here is audio with photos of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's D-Day prayer via radio with the American people on June 6, 1944.
Excerpts from Ronald Reagan's moving tribute to those who scaled the cliff of Pointe du Hoc on the 43rd anniversary, June 6, 1984. Film clips are from the movie "The Longest Day."
Then there is this clip from The Combat Report, via Michelle Malkin. What if the Normandy invasion had occurred on June 6, 2007?
Some might feel the latter video in bad taste due to the remembrances of those who sacrificed their lives today in the fight against Nazi Germany. However, it is a sad but true reminder in my opinion of how this nation has changed and not for the best. Sixty three years ago, we could have an honest disagreement with FDR about many of his policies, but we could unite behind him and count on him to defend America from the forces of Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. Today, the Democrat party he once led makes excuses for our enemies and tries to give them Constitutional rights while denying funding for our troops. If FDR or any other President prayed with the citizens of America in 2007, the ACLU would be screaming "separation of church and state" quicker than you could say trial lawyer.
I salute those who stormed the beaches this day, 63 years ago, those who never came back and those who are still with us today. Thank you for your service to our great nation.

This whole episode is one of the areas where the Bush Administration made a serious mistake in not standing up to its accusers in this political witch hunt, namely an ambulance chaser turned Senator named Chuck Schumer. Yes, the same Chuck Schumer whose staff illegally obtained Michael Steele's credit report. In the process, that bloated liar named Joe Wilson and his publicity whore wife Valerie Plame became media heroes to the Bush hating Left.
Why is Ms. Plame-Wilson's possible perjury being ignored? See Noel Sheppard's blog at Newsbusters.org for more. Also Byron York on National Review Online.
Lewis "Scooter" Libby deserves a Presidential Pardon because he did not commit the crime he was accused of, leaking a covert agent's name. Instead, he was convicted by a rogue prosecutor, Patrick Fitzgerald, who knew the identity of the real leaker and still pursued this case. Plus, why should Libby go to prison when Sandy Burglar (who destroyed classified documents) got off with a slap on the wrist. Bill Clinton lost his law license for perjury, which is what Libby was convicted of. Ted Kennedy is still in the Senate, almost 38 years after his drunken plunge off the Chappaquiddick bridge that killed Mary Jo Kopechne.
Remember how the libs complained about "$40 million in taxpayer money wasted on a investigation about sex" during the Clinton impeachment? Well how much money was wasted on the liberal inquisition of Scooter Libby when he didn't leak Plame's name?
The Justice Department needs to punish these rogue prosecutors who use their offices for political purposes. Fitzgerald isn't the only one. There's also Ronnie Earl in Austin (Travis County) Texas and Mike Nifong in Durham, North Carolina.
Tonight, it was Wolf Blitzer's turn.
Some observations, based on my brief moments listening.
What place does a question about Creationism have in a Presidential Debate? That, as well as a question to Mitt Romney about his faith (Mormon) smacks of the religious bigotry most liberals are known for.
Wolfie brought up Fred Thompson. That is an indication how the liberals are afraid of him entering the race.
Speaking of the former Senator (and star of Law and Order) I became a Friend of Fred tonight. If you'd like to join me, please go to ImwithFred.com.

Yahoo: Authorities Charge 4 In NYC Terror Plot
NEW YORK - Federal authorities announced Saturday they had broken up a suspected Muslim terrorist cell planning a "chilling" attack to destroy John F. Kennedy International Airport, kill thousands of people and trigger an economic catastrophe by blowing up a jet fuel artery that runs through populous residential neighborhoods.
Three men, one of them a former member of Guyana's parliament, were arrested and one was being sought in Trinidad as part of a plot that authorities said they had been tracked for more than a year and was foiled in the planning stages.
"The devastation that would be caused had this plot succeeded is just unthinkable," U.S. Attorney Roslynn R. Mauskopf said at a news conference, calling it "one of the most chilling plots imaginable."
In an indictment charging the four men, one of them is quoted as saying the foiled plot would "cause greater destruction than in the Sept. 11 attacks," destroying the airport, killing several thousand people and destroying parts of New York's borough of Queens, where the line runs underground.
One of the suspects, Russell Defreitas, a U.S. citizen native to Guyana and former JFK air cargo employee, said the airport named for the slain president was targeted because it is a symbol that would put "the whole country in mourning."
I have a question for you liberals. After hearing this, do you still have your head in the sand? Still think global warming is a greater danger than Islamic terrorism? John Edwards, do you still think the War on Terror is a "bumper sticker slogan?"
Wake up you fools!
Move America Forward announced yesterday plans to buy the five acres of land in Crawford Texas once owned by Cindy Sheehan and her supporters. Sheehan announced she was putting the land up for sale after she publicly took her toys and went home on the Daily Kos blog.
From Move America Forward's website.
"Move America Forward has retained the services of award-winning real estate agent, Holly Williams (website: www.HollyCountry.com), to broker the deal. Once the land has been obtained, Move America Forward plans to erect a “Monument to America’s Heroes” on the property.
“I’m honored to be able to broker such a deal, and help turn this piece of land into a memorial that honors our brave men and women who fought for our freedom overseas. I am familiar with the land having spent time in Crawford and seeing first hand how Sheehan used the land to undermine the mission of our troops. I can’t think of a better use than to buy the land that was used to defile our troops and turn it into something beautiful that honors them,” said Holly Williams.
An artist’s rendition of the “Monument to America’s Heroes” can be found at the Move America Forward website at: www.MoveAmericaForward.org
Sheehan acquired the 5-acre plot of land in July 2006 for $52,500 using insurance money from the death of her son, Casey Sheehan, in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Cindy Sheehan declared at that time that the land would be used, “until George’s (Bush) resignation or impeachment.” However, this Memorial Day weekend Sheehan reversed course and gave her “resignation” as the face of the anti-war movement, announcing that the 5-acres in Crawford, Texas were up for sale.
“This land has been used as a staging ground for anti-war activists to denounce and denigrate the heroic service of the men and women of the United States Armed Forces. It is our intention to turn this around and make this a site that will honor the heroic accomplishments of the men and women who have fought with honor and courage in the war against Islamic terrorism,” declared Melanie Morgan, Chairman of Move America Forward.
Robert Dixon, Executive Director of Move America Forward, said the money to purchase the land would come from the financial contributions of Move America Forward’s one-million members.
“We’ve already raised the initial sum to kick-start this effort and we will be collecting donations to fund both the purchase of this land and to pay for the construction of the Monument to America’s Heroes,” Dixon said."
You can also go to MAF's website to make contributions.
