One Week Later, DNC Silence on Imam Is Deafening

One week ago, at the Democrat National Committee's Winter Meeting, they were led in prayer by Imam Husham Al-Husainy. With Howard "the Duck" Dean by his side, this Imam prayed for an end to the war, oppression and occupation, a veiled swipe at America and the War in Iraq.

Despite the radical roots of this Imam, such as his support of Hezbollah, as well as calling America "oppressors & occupiers" in his prayer, there was no condemnation or outrage from the DNC.

Yesterday, Al-Husainy appeared on Sean Hannity's radio show and refused to acknowledge Hezbollah as a terrorist organization or Iranian dictator (and Holocaust denier) Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as an anti-Semite.

Instead, Al-Husainy melted down and hung up on Hannity while on the air. (Click to listen)

Sidenote, the footage appearing on Little Green Footballs of Howard Dean shaking hands with this Imam after the prayer seems to have disappeared.

The fact that the leadership of the DNC, as well as elected Democrats have been silent on the tone of this prayer or the Imam's ties with radical Islam speaks volumes in how low the Democrats will go in order to politically defeat President Bush over the war.
