Cindy Sheehan Speaks At "Impeachment Summit" Co-Sponsored by Ex-Weather Underground Members

Cindy Sheehan will be a speaker at an "Emergency Summit" held in New York this weekend by several Leftist groups who are calling for the impeachment of President Bush for supposed "war crimes." (thanks to Kristinn at FreeRepublic for finding this)

But what is noteworthy are the co-sponsors for the event. Among the usual suspects, such as AfterDowningStreet.org, Green Party of the United States; Democrats.com, Code Pinko, Progressive Democrats of America (Lynn Woolsey and Barbara Lee serve on its advisory board), are Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, former members of the terrorist group Weather Underground.

For those who don't know, the Weather Underground (or Weathermen) were a branch off of the SDS (Students for a Democratic Society) responsible for the bombing of the U.S. Capitol building and the Pentagon. The Weather Underground also claimed responsibility for several bombings across the nation, including an October 1970 bombing at the Marin County Courthouse. Three Weathermen died in a 1970 explosion at a Greenwich Village "bomb factory" putting together a bomb intended to go off at a non-commissioned officers dance at Fort Dix. The bomb was packed with nails for the intention of maximum casualties upon detonation.

Ayers is now a Distinguished (?) Professor of Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is hardly repentant of his violent radical past. In the lede a New York Times article published (ironically) on September 11, 2001 ("No Regrets for a Love Of Explosives; In a Memoir of Sorts, a War Protester Talks of Life With the Weathermen"), Ayers said "I don't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough."

They may not be setting off explosives, but these radicals are still loyal to their ideas of overthrowing the government of the United States. This is the face of the so-called anti-war movement which the MSM refuses to show America.
